Have been on dialysis for 4 years now. Last year I bought and saw the movie by Joe Cross called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I began juicing once a day and eating all natural foods. The renal diet will kill you. My doctor took me off insulin in 2 months and my A1C went down to 5.2. (was insulin diabetic for over 30 years) I went from 245 to 167 lbs. I can walk for miles now and even run when playing with my grandson. My blood work is always great. Never any swelling and I have more energy t hen when I was 30. I will be 63 yrs young Friday the 24th of April. I am not cured yet but I will do all I can. Doctors only treat the symptoms. Good luck to you all and do all you can for yourself.

To the blissful dialysis nurse in Australia, being as you are faced with troubles of your own kidneys I would imagine that you could admit never witnessing a person on dyalisis getting off. Most people choose a field, hopefully passionately. I have been in the mix of these centers for only about 7 years and it seems to me that there are simply those who believe they must believe what they are told- and those who begin to question everything they have been taught. That's a hard thing to do.

I have successfully gotten my grandmother off of dialysis after 4 years- stage four, then stage 5. Every doctor said it could not be done. We did it. One day at a time. Absolutely beginning with nutrition. All of those renal diet musts" are contributing to the fact that these people continue to lose there ability to allow there bodies to strive. White breads only? and dont forget to start taking away the okay to eat fresh fruit, or many veggies, or nuts, or grains, musnt forget legumes... Instead lets make them believe that they need to overload on protien-and glue (white starch?) don't drink water! It will kill ya. I mean, do you honestly feel what you posted? just keep your body from real nutrition and when you come in to get your blood cleansed.. We'll reward you with fake sweetners atop of jello and send you home with more destructive recipes. Its the least to be done, considering, these peoples continued demise pays the bills.

Please -do your research, its "high school stuff". Please search your soul. And to any patients out there.. , . Please start by learning about alkalized water and maybe some stabilized oxygen- totally non toxic!! Make your low fluid allowance count! Enzymes! We were supposed to have them thank goodness for health food stores and natural advocates-protease is a good enzyme to start with, if you are a kidney patient with "high urine protien" (urine ph level under 6.0) and on the other hand , if you are a patient with a urine ph balance above 7.5 you are in need of bringing some acidity to your body to help neutralize things. Try sodium ascorbate( vitamin C -no calcium), purchase ph urine strips on the internet, healthfood stores and test daily to see if your ph level is getting closer to 7.0. That is the number both sides of the ph levels want to try and focus on.

Try these things for a while if you like and see how you feel about "the side effects" vs "dialysis effects" oh! Two more things, see if the stabilized oxygen doesnt help make a difference with blood sugar and maybe blood pressure because as much as they tried to give my Nani more diabetic meds and blood pressure meds when not really needed, I know that they were inhibiting her own body from performing its own tasks. Those things are important to try and defeat- we did. Remember, what we speak, shall be what is. the power of thought!!! I am on a mission!! Much love and Health. Melanie

Hi Melanie,

After reading your blog, I am further inspired to continue researching different methods of healing. I have always been a big believer of herbal remedies and will continue to find alternatives, rather then the medicine and foods the docters want me to take.

I am a patient on Dialysis and feel great apart from the toxins building up in my body. I will try to pursue a healthier lifestyle here on.

Many thanks!

Hope all goes well for the future!!

Hi Gale,

You said , ' my husband is very sick '. If he is that sick, perhaps he belongs in the hospital where he can be treated and monitored. If he is not that sick, and you do not get the answer to your question, the following may interest you :

I have kidney infection for about 1,5 year. For me most usefull were not many water - only 0,5-0,8 litre per day, no garlic, no onion, no radish, no broccoli and all cabage family in raw, only very well cooked, because they irritate kidney. No orange, no lemon, grapefruit and all citrus fruits and NO VITAMIN C and multivitamins with vitamin C!!!! because vitamin C irritates kidney!!!

You can try to eat only buckwheat all day, 2-3 days per week with 0,5 l parsley or horsetail tea, and after this day you will notice that your kidney responsive to food and some supplements ... so don't use in this buckwheat days even all supplements, except vitamin D because maybe some of them irritate kidney.

Also essential vitamin D (if your situations worsen, try larger doses - 10000 vitamin D per day), NAC (2*600 mg per day) (for my kidneys it's a miracle), necessary to stengthen immunity (one month echinacea, other month astragalus, siberian ginseng etc.) Q10

I don't eat meat and dairy, so I don't know if my kidney liked them or not, but sometimes I eat fish and eggs and my kidney like them. Also my kidney like apples.

My kidney didn't liked Pau'd'arco. I tried it for immunity, but two times after taking one capsule 500 mg, my kidney were in pain. Also be very careful with species - turmeric OK, but black pepper NO. Cloves - OK, ginger - OK.

For my very useful site for supplements is http://www.lifeextension.com/Protocols/Kidney-Urinary/Kidney-Health/Page-08

In this site I learnt about NAC and tried it. For my kidney NAC was very very useful - like miracle cure. Thanks to God. I bought the cheapest NAC from iherb.

Distilled Water

I would go to Distilled Water for Kidney Failure, Get him to drink a Gallon a day. No Less, and more would actually work better. Distilled Water is what must be used to perform Kidney Dialysis. Big Pharma knows this... Kidneys are clogged and have been slowly dying off for years thus failing, this is Kidney Failure. Supplementation with Borax likely wouldn't have any deleterious effects.

Hi,

Should anything be mixed in distilled water or nothing should be mixed in the DW?

How much DW should one drink per day?

Regarding borax, how much per day and when to take it? just sprinkle it on food or dissolve it in some DW?

Could you please elaborate?

Thank you

When closing in on age 60, my doctor ran a bunch of tests, including kidney function. He was astonished at the results which said I had the kidneys of a 22 year old while he explained that the kidneys were an organ that was supposed to age with the body and asked me how I had done it. I simply said it must be all that distilled water I drink. He then wanted to know where I got my trace minerals and I told him "from Celtic Sea Salt and/or Himalayan Pink Salt."

I put a small pinch in my water glass to remineralize it.

Hi

How much distilled water do you drink per day on average?

And how much total salt do you put in water on average?

Do you salt your food as well besides the distilled water?

Thank you

I saw this in the DMSO page and thought it should be posted here too. It seems DMSO can open blockages related to liver and renal failure.

[YEA] 08/24/2012: Geralyn_d from Atlanta, Ga: "When I went into acute liver failure 4 years ago I was not told about ascites, they didn't really expect me to live and I turned down a place on the transplant list. I started eating raw vegan as it was the least reactive food I could stomach. One day I was dressing and noticed I looked like a water barrel! I weighed myself and had gained 8 pounds in a couple of days... I was going out of town the next day and used the only thing I know of that quickly removes excess water... DMSO.

I spread 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of 99% DMSO on a baby wipe... Then wiped from breast line to just past the groin where lymph glands are (front and back)and over the next 12 hours I peed like a racehorse! It took 2 days but all the water build up disappeared. It has come back 5 times and I used it each time to success. I also added tissue salts for control of water in the body and liver support (nat mur /nat sulph).

Recently my sister was in the hospital when her chemo almost killed her (heart and liver issues). She gained 24 pounds in 5 days. I advised the DMSO cautiously thinking at least there they could deal with any reaction. Instead of a problem, she ended up flooding the measuring container a few times and lost the 24 pounds in a week. The Drs were very happy that the liver numbers quickly dropped to the normal range. We didn't share our diuretic free solution though. DMSO is a cheap and pretty safe way to get rid up water build up."

Did you mean protein in the urine? Your husband would be in trouble if he didn't have protein in his blood. If protein in the urine is what you meant, the answer is probably that he is drinking a lot of carbonated beverages and that is causing swelling in his kidneys and letting the protein leak from his blood into the urine.

This is why I recommend that all people do not drink them and especially not let their kids drink them. While doing ambulatory care I ran across 4 children running from trace to 4+ proteinuria (protein in the urine). Trace is the least amount measured and at 4+ you look for big time kidney problems. Changing nothing but leaving off carbonated beverages on all 4 of them, 1 week later 3 of them were negative for protein in the urine and the 4th one who had the 4+ was down to trace. Her mother had let her drink one on the way to the clinic. None of these children had a UTI at the time of testing, but as I told their mothers, "If you want your children to keep the kidneys they were born with, keep them away from carbonated beverages". Even if you are lucky enough to get a match for a transplant, you will be needing about $l0,000 in medicine to keep from rejecting that transplant, and that medicine affects your immune system making your more susceptible to everything including cancer.

Q: apple cider vinegar is said to be good for kidney disease, does that include all kidney related problems? My son is 6 years old and has nephrotic syndrome(scarring of the kidney's filters), will this remedy help him?

Simmer a tablespoonful with flax seeds in a 20 oz of water for about 5 minutes with a lid on, take of the stove (no microwaving) and leave the lid on for another 10 minutes, strain the seeds and give it to your son to drink that! Do not sweeten the tea, not even honey!

This tea could be given 5-6 times a day, it cleans your kidneys out of any infections and the legumes from the flax seeds help with healing kidney damage.

I personally cured my daughters right kidney when she was 7 years old with this simple remedy!

I have a question for Vanya from Frankfort---How long did you use the flaxseed treatment? My elderly father has kidney disease and would love to try him on this as I don't think it would have any side effects, and is simple enough for him to do.

flax seeds are absolutely good for you, and there will not be any side effects from them, you can use this remedy for as long as you like! Now if you are taking flax seed oil, then we are talking about high omega 3-6-9 and thining the blood, wich is helpful for other ailments, for kidney problems just brew the seeds and drink it, it gets a little thick but that is the good legumes that your kidneys need! Good luck!

@Vanya from Frankfort: Flax seed should be raw or roasted? Which type of flax seed should I simmer in water and drink? And how many times a day? Will it have any side effects? I wanna cure my kidney.

Just a couple of notes on the flax seed discussion. A) Legumes are a family of plants (beans, peas, clover, etc.) Flax is not a legume. B) The omega-three-rich oils in flax seed become oxidized within 20 minutes of grinding them or if they are heated. Oxidized flax oil is detrimental, not beneficial.

Glandular Therapy

Can you recommend glandular therapy for kidney disease?

Replied by Oscar

06/27/2014

Dear Eckhard from Toronto, There are many causes of or for kidney disorders. Kidney disease is too vague to provide specific advise. As far as gland health goes: Avoid foods that have the element BROMINE. Certain breads and dough products along with certain soft drinks contain bromine. Bromine displaces the necessary IODINE in endocrine processes. Taking one standard multivitamin and mineral supplement daily should ensure the required IODINE.

Also I recommend drinking distilled water along with one cup of pure cranberry juice a day to avoid bacterial kidney infections and to promote kidney health in general. For some specific kidney disorder you need to state exactly what is wrong with your kidneys....Oscar

Kidney beans pods is one of the most effective food for curing kidney and bladder trouble. It is also effective for dropsy caused by heart disease and other ailments. Kidney blockage of long duration were also total cured and bleeding from any parts of the urinary system was quickly stopped.Stones and gravel were rapidly dissolved and did not return. Diseases of the bladder and ureter were cured.Rheumatism and acute gout were also cured. For some lucky people their diabetes were cured for good. Patients with inflammation of kidneys and bladder with pus in their urine were also cured.T otal swelling all over the body were also solved with only kidney bean pods water.

Kidney beans pods water must be freshly made and consumed within 24 hours otherwise it will cause diarrhea. Only the pods of the kidney bean were used as the kidney bean were not useful for kidney and bladder problem.

To prepare the kidney pod, boil 2 ounces of the pods slowly in 4 quarts of hot water for 4 hours. When the pods is ready, filter the solution through a fine muslin slowly and carefully and leave it in a cool place for 8 hours. After 8 hours filter the solution through muslin slowly and carefully again as too much fibers in the solution can cause intestinal upset. The solution is ready now.

Other foods that are useful for kidney, bladder and urinary problems are asparagus, beet roots, black eyed peas hulls, carrots, cherry juice, cornsilk teas, cranberries, garlic, onions, parsley, radishes, sage tea and water melon.

Please look into an amino acid called L-Arginine... You can also take it with Ornithine and Licine, these are help boost immunity and L-Arginine increases T3 which helps the thyroid. It greatly helps the liver and kidneys, specifically the kidneys suddenly OPEN UP and start making more water than you are used to... It flushes your body so go slow... You can take Arginine at night to help sleep.... Ornithine in the day with Licine for infection control. These are great amino acids, but do your own research!

when 7 years old, I nearly died with nepthritis [ kidney disease ]. At 39 year old, the pain in that area made me almost weep and it needed to be stopped. I felt something inside said to fast, take only lemon juice and eat "raw" comfrey - I did this from 4.00 pm friday until lunch time sunday and I have never had a pain there since and I am now 68years old. "I thank God for Comfrey" - since then I have spoke to people who have also been set free of disease in the kidneys through comfrey and its healing "alantoin". I only ate about 7 hand sized leaves over 3 days.

I was facinated with Brian of Australia Comfrey remedy for his kidney troubles.

I am a New Zealander living in Kentucky USA..as a child my Mum(part Maori) always added a few leaves of Comfrey into the cabbage etc,she also told me when I had babies to add a leaf or two into my babies vegetables, and I always did that.

Over my life I have ALWAYS grown Comfrey in my garden,it makes a wonderful tea for the garden plants, and my Mum would use it in her compost. The common name for Comfrey is Knitbone..because it knits together,it is an ancient herb.Unfortunately withing the last 20years some silly persons have over indulged (They must have drunk buckets of Comfrey tea) consequently comfrey has been labelled now.
I believe EVERYTHING in moderation..I have heard of someone dyeing from drinking too much water..if you understand what I mean.

Since living in Kentucky a long way from my Homeland, I have been able to buy a Comfrey plant, and my Comfrey is my treasure, I make a tea from her..I can gargle with the tea..I can add honey and a little ginger powder if I had a cold or flu..comfrey is great for the lungs..bladder etc.

Comfrey leaf if crushed (roll the rolling pin over to crush stalk) and put on a cut with gauze, and wrapped in plastic wrap, within 24hours cut will be sealed, do the same thing for bruising, grazing etc.. back in New Zealand many of the horse trainers use Comfrey for their horses legs when hurt.. Comfrey can also be dried out in the sun and kept air tight to use throughout the Winter..hope you are all healed now Brian.

Both my kidneys were swelled up for 18 months while I searched frantically for answers. Every kidney link said it was infection. I tried various infection remedies until I decided to get lab test. It came back negative for infection.

I continue to search for answer on a zillion links with no answers. I finally came across doctor who said most ckd people die from heart attacks. I searched for which supplements used in kidney. They were all related to heart disease. I deduced from that it was blood clots in kidneys.

Nattokinase/serrapeptase didn't work. I needed a more powerful clot buster so tried Lumbrokinase, which I luckily bought 3 months before. It finally started taking down the swelling within 3 days. I was happy.

What pissed me off the most was that you have a zillion websites on kidneys and NOT one ever suggested that PAIN IN KIDNEY could be a BLOOD CLOT.

Have you ever tried to sleep with swelled kidneys. You don't easily.

I am currently trying to remove calcium from my soft tissues in hope of improving or regenerating my kidneys.

I use one capsule of Nutrusta Omega 3 DHA to help with proteinura and body.

I use 1 tsp of baking soda before bed. I have PH strips which tell me what urine is. This is so I can tell if I need more or less. I try to keep it above 7.0 or with some color of green.

I do think if excretions to kidney are too acidic, it will destroy kidney. That's why I think it stops progression. It has less to do with blood.

I used 2 capsules of Lumbrokinase 3 times a day until swelling subsided then try to eye ball it after that which is usually 0-2 capules per day.

I did not go to doctors for any diagnosis. I have no idea what stage my kidneys are in but I can feel when their under stress.

I have had kidney stones for 28 yrs. In June of 2016 my nephrologist told me that I only had 34% us of my kidneys. He had me on 6 tablets a day of potassium citrate for the last 6 yrs. It had gotten worse over the last 6 yrs. and I figured it was due to menopause. I produce calcium oxlate stones. The nephorlogist told me my kidneys were calcified. I had been passing stones every 2-3 mos. I was always told by doctors to increase my citrate level and limit foods that are high in oxlates. After the doctors appt in June, I started researching calcification on the body. WoW, I found out that in the american diet we are getting to much calcium.

Here's the important part of my little story. I found out that calcium is hard and it needs magnesium to soften it, so it can get to the right places in the body that it needs to be in. Calcium can stay in the soft tissues, like the joints, kidneys, arteries, etc. I started taking a liquid ionic form of magnesium. I was on it for 6 mos. and when I went to the nephrologist he said that the percent usage of my kidneys was 39. It went up 4%. I went to the nephrologist 6 mos after this and the percent use of my kidneys was now 44. It went up 5% this time. In that year and 3 mos, now. I have not passed any stones. I had not had to go to the hospital either.

Sorry so long, I just wanted to put it out for people with stones or kidney disease. I understand that when you get close to having 20% use of your kidneys, doctor want to get you on dialysis.
