The best treatment for hemorrhoids I have ever used is a homeopathic ointment called avenoc: it contains aesculus hippoastanium; collinsonia Canadensis and hamamellis virginiana. Buy it at health food store. It's a homeopathic remedy. Cured my problem..no surgery!

After trying several different home remedies for an external hemorrhoid, I decided to try the homeopathic remedy, Calc. Fluor. in the 6 x potency. I read that you should take 4 doses a day as well as apply it topically. I dissolved about 3 or 4 of the tablets in water and put some on a cotton ball. I squeezed out any excess water and placed the cotton ball on the hemorrhoid. I did this every night leaving the cotton ball on until morning. I never did take the Calc. Fluor. internally, but after 12 nights of applying it topically the hemorrhoid had shrunk and was healed. I kept the mixture in the refrigerator and made a fresh batch every 4 or 5 days.

Horse chestnut tablets, 3 times a day for 3 days and no more hemorrhoids!!! Guaranteed. It worked for both my sisters and my mother. They tried all the OTC products and nothing worked. I knew that Horsechestnut tablets worked for vein health and also know that hemorrohoids are a cluster of veins so I did a few experiments with family and 100 percent success rate everytime. You can buy horse chestnut tablets at a health food store (not to be confused with horsetail tablets) Try it, it works!

I have suffered from hemorrhoids for years. Even had the laser treatment. They no longer bled, but still came back at times. I had a particularly bad one a few weeks ago. I tried may cures on this site including ACV, Listerine, and tea tree oil. Nothing helped, and the Listerine HURT! I had read that Horse Chestnut was good for varicose veins so I thought I would try it for the hemorrhoid. I could feel it working within an hour of taking it. I continued to take it morning and night. The hemorrhoid was gone in a matter of days. I now take it daily as a preventative.

I read on internet that taking horse chestnut orally will cure hemorrhoids, so I'm taking that right now and I think that it's working. Horse chestnut is also good for chronic venous insufficiency or swelling of the legs which was the main reason I was taking it in the first place. The swelling in my left leg is slowly subsiding but I think it's working for that also. Horse chestnut is good for also coughs, arthritis, and some other things I can't remember at this time.Pycnogenol is suppose to be better for hemorrhoids than horse chestnut, but I don't know, I'm just trying the horse chestnut for now, and if I'm not satisfied with the results, I will try pycnogenol instead, in which it's supposed to work better for leg swelling

Hi Kea,

After I read what you said about trying horse chestnut, and I gave it a try, and It worked charmedly, 2 days after using it, 3 times a day, I could feel it was getting smaller, 3 days I didn't feel it anymore. I will drink it for a couple more days to make sure it's really gone away...

I am very happy now... I had been so stressed out for almost 1 1/2 month, I did try the medicine from my country, It was working before, but this time it just didn't work... And I ate very healthy, juice, everything soft, went to the doctor.. Spent a lot of time and money... Thank God... The hemorroids is gone...

but my hemorroids was small, it was just getting worse, I tried ACV also, but it only took away the pain, then I realized that the hemorroids got a scar (wound), then I applied some cream from my warehouse for the cut/wound, It healed the scar fast.

Thanks Kea and earthclinic...

Since giving birth to 3 childern, I have occasionally suffered from very painful hemorrhiods. The best relief that works for me is a very warm shower with a detachable shower head that you can aim the flow directly on the hemorrhoids. This works better that soaking in a bath because the bath water cools down too quickly. After the shower be sure to dry thoroughly, even with a hair dryer. Then apply some vaseline or any petroleum jelly (unscented) on the area. This is best done at night just before bedtime when you can lie down and be off you feet. Hope it helps for you.

I have had hemorrhoids for a few years. When I first started getting irritation it was just itching. Now that I had my baby (5 weeks ago), I get pain too. It can be unbearable. I like to soak in a hot bath it makes it go away for a while. Also if you wear sweats it helps. Something loose and baggy. Jeans make it worse. My Dr. also says to drink lots of fluids and eat more fiber. If it is a continual thing use stool softeners. I enjoy the Bath it goes away the whole time in the tub and it is also good me time!

I have not had a lot of experience with hemmies - thank my lucky stars! But I had an external one and put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton pad and applied it a few times and had relief! When you look into the amazing powers of hydrogen peroxide I'm not surprised.

Hydrogen Peroxide for hemorrhoids:

After 5 days my hemmorhoid was gone. Simple as that.

P.S. First, after my brother told me his hemmorhoid was cured in 2 or 3 days with ACV, I tried ACV directly on the 'roid and left it on overnight multiple times, and it stung so bad so I stopped using it.

So that's when I tried H202 (peroxide) and it worked!

About twenty years ago, I got rid of my hemmoroids by applying hydrogen peroxide directly on them with a cloth. I only did it a few times before they were gone. There was a fabulous warm sensation when it touched the open sore. It felt wonderful.

hemorrhoid remedy- buy what's called an inversion swing. sort of like a kid's see-saw. cost approx. $150-$200 doesn't prevent piles, but gets rid of them generally in 5-10 mins until next bowel movement. greatest blessing of my life. if bleeding as well, give Rutin a try-worked for me.

If rutin hasn't stopped the 'roids', borrow an inversion swing. it won't stop you getting the nasties, but will get rid of them until the next attack. and it won't take 24-48 hours, like other miracle remedies, but probably in only 10 mins. or so. Not suitable if pregnant, heavily overweight or with weak ankles. Takes a little getting used to, as you hang upside down like a bat hanging from the ceiling of a cave. Mine has become redundant ever since I started using rutin, but before that the 'swing' was my lifesaver. if, after getting a swing, you have difficulties in using it or getting results, post back for further advice-I've become something of an expert on its usage.

How often and how long to you use the inversion swing?

as I got hemorhoids after every bowel movement, which was 1-2 times a day, I was using the swing that many times. after I used the swing, the hemorhoids would be gone until the next bowel movement when I would repeat the process. as stated, the swing does not prevent you getting hemorhoids in the first place, but when you do get them the swing can get rid of them in as little as 2-3 minutes with a little practise. initially, you may have to spend as long as 8-10 minutes until you get the hang of it. believe me, this device borders on the miraculous when it comes to the relief of hemorhoids when all else has failed. please note that most swings come with grossly inadequate foam protection for your ankles when hanging upside down-you will probably have to substantially the foam, or find a far better way of supporting your ankles. please give this method a good try- please reply back if you experience any problems. I speak from first hand experience.

You don't have to use the swing everyday as a preventative measure. yYu only use it once you get a 'roid'.

Some relevant points;

1. get on the swing immediately after getting the 'roid'-delay will adversely affect the cure time.

2. you must go a full 180 degree inversion, nothing less.

3. if you live alone, or are not very agile, make sure you have some means of returning to vertical i.e., attaching a rope to the ceiling or wall, or placing a large box near your hands to help pushing yourself back to vertical. most swings have an adjustment mechanism on the rear that you can adjust to alter the centre of gravity, thus making it easier to return to vertical.

4. at some stage you will get a 'puckering' feeling around your anus. don't resist it, just relax & let the roids be 'sucked' back inside your rectum.

While the swing was my lifesaver for 6-8 years, it was rutin that cured my hemorhoids- if you have tried rutin & did not get results, try doubling or even tripling the daily dosage.

The swing made my life close to normal, but rutin has completely eliminated roids from my life, and as mentioned in a previous post my roids weren't severe, they were catastrophic, the worst of the worst. I hope my post helps you, best wishes.

Might be a dumb question but could you do a handstand instead of using an inversion swing? Is the idea of just getting 180 deg vertical the same? Thank you. Long time sufferer here and open to all good remedies.

@Matt,

Having previously tried yoga(including headstand) to cure hemorrhoids, I was having no luck whatsoever. But with the Inverter device, success was quick & reliable. I don't know why. I can only say one works, the other doesn't.

I know the unbearable discomfort and pain caused by having Hemorrhoids for I have it for 2 years now. Every recommended remedies I have tried, some have given me temporary help others not at all. The suffering of pain, itch, and bleeding has kept me in despair but I have not given hope. For me seeing a doctor is not my cup of tea. Being a spiritual person, I know that Someone up there sees and listens. One day, after my meditation, I went on-line and read an article written by a deceased person who for years have been suffering from an acute hemorrhoids and was cured.

I followed this for the first time and I felt a very significant relief. This for me I will call a "Miracle Cure". I will continue applying this until my hemorrhoids is completely gone and I hope, someone who applies this and felt the same way as I have, will spread this remedy to all sufferers:

10 drops of SSKI mix with 1/2ml of Organic Flaxseed oil. Apply with a cotton swab before bedtime.

Yes, Lugol's has worked. I am in great health, but do suffer from mild varicose veins. I eat a lot of raw food, am mainly vegan, normal weight, not stressed and not constipated. I take around 10g Vitamin C per day plus alkalising salts, look 15 years younger than my true age and always considered myself in great health. However, recently I got a little pea size pile and was shocked! Earth Clinic is brilliant - we always refer to it for problems so I went down the list of suggestions! First, I tried the ACV but it stung so badly and didn't do anything, then I tried chilli powder in water over a few days; that nearly made me sick everytime I drank it. I tried Essential Oil of Frankincense that seemed to help a little and experimented with Tea Tree Oil but I intuited the Frankincense was more effective, so stuck with that. Ice cubes helped but only temporarily. What seemed to be most effective has been taking Horse chestnut extract 3 times a day, plus Vitamin B complex inc. B6 100g and turmeric twice a day - the little pile seems to have been reducing very slowly. I also tried witch hazel that felt nice but didn't do anything. At the same time, I tried Arnica extract that stung horribly and seemed to have no impact. It's Day 6 and I got fed up of waiting for this thing to go completely so I put some Lugol's and in a few hours it reduced already. That is the first dramatic effect I have had in almost a week. The other thing I am doing is exercising the muscles to encourage rebuilding the pelvic floor - that also seems to be helpful - plus walking around more as I work long hours at my desk.

Hemorrhoids will sometimes disappear literally ovenight, when SSKI Iodine (20 drops) mixed with Castor Oil or flaxseed oil (one ounce) is rubbed in them at bedtime. It was also found that SSKI alone will do the same job, although it really stings when applied to a hemorrhoid by itself it's better to dilute it.
