[YEA]  I had this terrible itching in the crotch area for four weeks that was driving me mad! I finally decided it was something that needed attention so I did some research and decided it must be jock itch. I thought only men got this, but here I was with the malady. I began to try various remedies. Here is a list of what I tried that did not work for me: ACV with honey (4 cups per day), rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide (rubbed on one day and held on for 30 minutes the next day), coconut oil internally and externally, tea tree oil, a rescue remedy tincture, athletes foot powder, a topical Lysine cream, diluted vinegar/water (3:1) with some grapeseed extract as a wash, A&D ointment and a one-ounce tube of hydrocortisone 1% cream. Nothing even touched it (although the hydrocortisone cream helped with the itching). So I went to the health food store and, being too embarrassed to tell them I had jock itch, instead told them I had altheltes foot (both are fungal). The lady suggested OIL of OREGANO. I had some on hand, so, after putting on a generous application of A&D ointment to areas I did not want touched by the oil (very important! don't skip this step! I am assuming any sort of oil or vaseline would work for this step) I used a q-tip and I put a small dab on each nickel-sized sores. It stung! A bring tears to your eyes sting! Like what-did-I-ever-do-to-deserve-this sting! It began to lesson after about 10 minutes, but I finally couldn't take it anymore and rubbed the area with coconut oil! I am pleased to say I have down-graded the sores from what I would call "active", to what I would consider "going away."

CAUTION - when you use oil of oregano less is best! Only apply once or twice a day. Only apply directly to the area. One time I had used too much on a little spot on my arm, letting it run all over and I applied it four to six times a day for probably seven days. It caused a burn of sorts that didn't go away for weeks!

I love your website! We have cured my husband of strep-throat four times in the last few- years with all your strep-throat remedies.

[YEA]  I use Extra Strength 83% Carvacrol Oil of Oregano, it is some pretty strong stuff. I got it because it claimed Immune System Support, Anti-Pathogen,Anti-Parasite,Anti-Fungal
Weight Loss: Diuretic, Aids Bladder Function.

I think of all the supplements and vitamins I take this is the one that I couldn't do without. I first started using 3 drops on my toothbrush to help with the peridontal disease, I soon noticed that my allergies and very bad sinues cleared up. They started to drain and now are clear and I no longer live on nosesprays and decongestants.

Recently I woke up with a terrible chest cold, which felt like bronchities. I immediately began taking about 10 drops in a small swallow of water, doing that 2 or 3 times that day, I also boiled water and put a few drops of the OOO and inhaled it into my lungs.

I rubbed a few drops on my chest. The next day it was gone, the heavy chest congestion, the cough, everything.

It is a great candida killer, I suffered greatly with it, having diabetes, and now I no longer suffer from yeast infections.

The way I like to use it is 3 drops on my toothbrush, then I use 3 more drops with a swallow of water, letting it sit in my mouth a couple of minutes, that way the vapors clear my sinues and as extra protection for my teeth, because I wake up in the morning with no feelings of plaque on my teeth, and then I swallow it to take care of any bad bugs or candida. I use the Won with Nature brand, which I am in no way affliated with, I just feel it is a very good brand.

Use, the essential oil, it's the very best and most potent form. OIL of Oregano, if you want results.

[YEA]  1:30am, Saturday Night: I read AC from West Midlands, England's post about using Garlic for Athlete's foot a few days ago and was eager to try it. I have had athlete's foot on and off for years. I also have deeply etched cracked heals which I understand is possibly a fungal infection. And then recently the skin around my right big toe started to peel and looks nasty as can be. I tried the best OTC for Athlete's Foot, but with limited success. Takes 5 days to go away and then comes back a couple weeks later.

We had just run out of garlic, so I opted instead for another powerful anti-fungal, Wild Oil of Oregano. I use OO for coughs and sinus infections and had about 15 capsules left. Before going to sleep, I punctured a capsule of oil and rubbed it over both of my feet, especially concentrating it on my big toe, in between my toes where the athelete's foot itched and the cracks on my heals. I put socks on so the oil wouldn't get all over the sheets. It doesn't smell bad at all -- much better than garlic for sure!

Just like AC reported, there was dramatic improvement by the morning! The infection around my big toe was 50% better... The blisters in between my toes had disappeared. The cracks in my heals have started to seal and are unbelievably soft... (I had been rubbing shea butter on the cracks every night, which helped, but not to this extent).

I did the Oregano oil 3 morning and night for 2 days, took a day off. The infection around my big toe is all but gone. No more peeling skin. The cracks on my heels continue to slowly improve. Tonight I switched to Grapefruit Seed Extract and my feet, normally cold, warmed up right away. This may be a great remedy for those suffering from cold hands and feet. My feet are still tinglingly warm 2 hours after applying the GSE.

I have the feeling that the GSE will work just as well as the Oregano Oil. I also am trying the GSE on my perioral dermatitis and will report back any improvements. I can tell you that the itchy postules around my nose have disappeared. I had to wash off the GSE after about 20 minutes because it started to burn.

[YEA]  OREGANO OIL WILL ALSO HELP TO PREVENT ''CANDIDA ALBICANS'' I TOOK ''OREGANO TABLETS'' SOME YEARS AGO TO TREAT ,CANDIDA,NOW I HAVE SOME OF THE DRIED HERBS ON TOAST MIXED WITH OIL AND FRESH GARLIC, JUST TO KILL OFF ANY UNWANTED GUESTS IN MY DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, I BELIEVE IT WORKS. MY HUSBAND HAS JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH THE ''HELICOBACTER PYLORI'', BACTERIUM, HE IS DEVASTATED, HE CAUGHT IT FROM OUR FRIEND,WHO WAS AT THE TIME TAKING THE DRUGS,WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND, HOW THIS COULD HAPPENED, HE ATE SOME FOOD COOKED BY OUR FRIEND. HE IS TREATING IT WITH ,WITH TURMERIC, GARLIC, PAU D'ARCO, VITAMINS, TO BOOST IMMUNE SYSTEMS, RINSES HIS MOUTH WITH ONE DROP OF ''TEA TREE'' ESSENTIAL OIL IN HALF GLASS OF WATER, TO PREVENT THE BACTERIUM IN THE MOUTH. H. Pylori is contagious, although the exact route of transmission is not known. Person-to-person transmission by either the oral-oral or fecal-oral route is most likely. I don't quite know how your husband could contract this bacteria from someone's cooking since heat kills bacteria.

[YEA]  I have not had a cold or the flu for 4 years despite having asthma and COPD (brochiectasis). When I feel that my nose gets a bit stuffy and sometimes get a bit shivery I immediately take 1 tablespoon of Colloidal Silver which I keep in my mouth for 1 minute (it gets absorbed through the mucus membranes) and then swallow and 2 gel capsules of P73 wild oregano oil. I repeat at night and cold or flu does not progress. This way I also avoid having the flu jab which used to make me ill. Hope this will help someone. Regards, Maddy.

[WARNING!]  For those looking to use Oil of Oregano for it's antimicrobial properties, I would like to specify that Oil of Oregano is NOT Oregano Essential oil, which would have to be diluted. If you're looking to buy this remedy, make sure that the ingredients list states that there is a carrier oil (like olive oil). Otherwise, be prepared to dilute it yourself, or there could be serious negative effects.

I have seen some people writing in remedies that include putting undiluted essential oils on their skin. I think I saw a remedy for headaches or migraines that recommended putting peppermint essential oil on the temples. I have been studying aromatherapy for 5 years, and one of the most basic lessons is that you almost NEVER use essential oils undiluted. Peppermint essential oil in particular is considered to be a skin irritant to all skin types when used undiluted. If put on the temples, the strength of the fumes could seriously irritate the eyes and the delicate area around the eye. If you are going to try any remedy including essential oils, DILUTE FIRST! Even if the remedy doesn't specify it, you'll be saving yourself from possible complications.

Yes, it's true. Putting raw undiluted essential oil on your skin is a disaster. I put grapefruit oil and orange oil in the bath, BIG MISTAKE. It burned my skin and actually left welts. Couldn't wash it off very easily either. I also made the bitter error of putting tea tree oil directly in my ear canal for an infection. I was up all night with the burning pain. Couldn't wash that out very easily, none the less. Don't underestimate pure essential oil. Cheers

Oil, especially coconut oil, will cut the burn and sting of essential oils. You can even put coconut oil in your eyes, which I have done during allergy attacks, and it will help cut the itch and sooth the eye area. I have a friend whose granddaughter got peppermint oil in her eyes. Coconut oil helped immediately.

[SIDE EFFECTS]  I read about the remedy oil of oregano and purchased it from an online seller last year. This is really powerful stuff and I've been using it for my son's recurring viral infections with dramatic results. However, the oil actually made my sinus infection much worse. I thought the severity of my symptoms warranted around 8 drops a day under my tongue every 3-4 hours and continued the dose for 4 days. Every day I experienced a worsening of symptoms including asthma and stuffed nose with thick greenish-yellow discharge of mucous. I believe the oregano was responsible for it firstly, because the symptoms eased off when I stopped it and second, I read somewhere that yeast infections are typically exacerbated with good bacteria die-offs which is probably what the oregano was doing in those big doses. I wasn't eating enough yoghurt to compensate either. Just a note to everyone out there to be careful with overdoing the oregano oil. I'm doing far better with 2 cloves of garlic 5-6 times a day, lots of water, the homeopathic remedy arsenicum album 30X every 2-3 hours, and drastic reduction of refined carbs in my diet.

my interpretation of your experience is that you were indeed experiencing die-off of yeast. You may know that this is a natural healing response the body goes thru when something is working. Like cleaning out a closet, it gets worse before it gets better. Did you use "wild" oregano oil? and 4 drops at a time is a high enough dose. Just my 2 cents. I am finding the oil extremely helpful for my long-term post nasal drip problem stemming from mold exposure a number of years ago.

What brand of oil of oregano is considered to be a really reliable brand for using for the nasal problems? and what is the difference between wild and not wild oregano oil?

I am dealing with mold exposure allergy and have been having ongoing nasal problems, neti pot doesn't seem to break any of the infection issues up... Getting mold out of here but in the mean time, I have no idea how to use this oil... Can anyone help?? thanks

[YEA]  I have been battling a gum infection for 2 months. After three courses of antibiotics, I gave up and tried Vitamin C 3000mg. This began to improve my gums, however, the infection persisted. My gums have been aching, sore, dark red, and inflammed.

I decided to try Oil of Oregano. I purchased a brand that was 60% diluted in extra virgin olive oil. Immediately, with a clean finger, I rubbed one drop of it over my gums, and another drop on the other side. Immediately the ache subsided. After 8 hours, my gums felt much improved. There is a slight tingly warm feeling upon initially applying which is normal for Oregano Oil. Before bedtime, I repeated this again, along with placing one drop beneath my tongue, holding it in place and washing it down with water.

I woke up with my mouth feeling more nomal than it has in weeks. Another additional benefit, it cleared my sinuses! They have been blocked.

Caution: Do not use Oil of Oregano undiluted. It is caustic and it WILL burn. That is why dilution in extra virgin olive oil is important.

I'm sharing this remedy in hopes it will help someone else stop suffering today!

[YEA]  I had strep throat last week and it was getting pretty bad with the pain. I tried gargling with ACV, drinking it with water, honey, cayenne pepper, etc. I even tried Amoxicillin from the doctor. Nothing helped me...until I tried Oil of Oregano. On Wednesday night, I took a couple doses and by Thursday morning, the pain was gone. Now, a week later, the strep is totally cleared. For me, this was the cure for my Strep. Oil of Oregano is great!

[YEA]  God and Oil of Oregano cured my sinus infection! Like many, one sinus infection after the other over the years. Tried, antibiotics, netti pot, homeopathics, echinacea, golden seal, tumeric, vitamin c, apple cider vinegar, acidophulus, gave up cheese and milk and other dairy items, gave up sugars. None of these did the job. Two weeks ago a cold turned into a sinus infection, with thick green and brown phlegm. On Saturday, the cold turned feverish. By 5:00 p.m, felt terrible, with a fever of 100. Online to do research. My wife, meanwhile, mentioned oil of oregano. I checked it out and discovered the Georgetown study, where it cured some drug resistant staph infections. Oil of oregano is believed to have both anti-bacterial and ant-viral properties. My wife had some in the cupboard. Decided to try it. Two drops under the tongue. Tasted terrible. Burned. Went to bed. Woke up at 6:00 p.m, an hour later, still felt terrible, but temperature had dropped to 99.1. Then, 30 minutes later, took temperature again, it was 98.6. Never in my life have I seen such immediate effects from anything. (But let's give God the credit, shall we? After all, it's God who makes the natural remedies in the first place. And it's God who directs us to the right cure at the right time. Let's always put God first and we'll always be the better for it.) Over the next 5 days, I increased the dosage to four drops under the tongue every 2-3 hours. Over those five days, the phlegm slowly changed from green and brown to clear. Sinus infection now gone completely. I would not have credited Oil of Oregano with the healing had it not been for seeing the immediate decrease in my temperature at those times. Nor would I have stuck with it when I did not see the same immediate results with the nasal secretions. But it handled it. I've continued a maintenance dose everyday since, of about five drops once a day. I recommend buying a bottle, but make sure it's wild oregano, and using it at the first sign of a cold or flu. One amazing remedy from Upstairs!

AMEN!!!

I had a broken tooth which then produced a sinus infection, which then produced bronchitis. Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breathe and I prayed for guidance. My daughter found some [oregano extract] in her drawer that she had taken previously for pneumonia. I was amazed when I felt immediate improvement in my breathing, so I kept taking this twice a day until my sinus infection and bronchitis cleared up, along with my tooth infection.

Until I took this and researched online, I had no idea that 80% of high blood pressure is caused by underlying infections, hence the infection caused by my tooth was the reason that my blood pressure had become so high (200/95) Once it cleared up my blood pressure improved, although I couldn't get it all the way back down to normal range until I researched regarding Nitric Oxide to reduce blood pressure. Once I started taking Arginine and Citrilline with _____ organic Vitamin C complex, my blood pressure further reduced to the normal range. I am still taking [oregano extract] daily until I can afford to get my tooth fixed.

Some doctors might say that this was a "coincidence" or that this is the result of the "placebo effect", but I found alot of other people who stated online that [oregano extracts] improved their various infections, candida, cold and flu etc. I believe that "God's Medicine Chest" is far superior to drugs created by man, and the "proof is in the pudding"

Evelyn,

When I told my dental hygenist about my bleeding gums stopping when I started the oregano oil, she told me it was coincidental to having my teeth and gums cleaned. Which it wasn't because I started the oil almost a month before. (And it's not like I've lived all these years without having my teeth cleaned! LOL)

[YEA]  I couldn't find this one so here goes. Best for kids, as it helps whatever is causing the fever, especially virus. Two drops of Oreganol Oil, on each foot rub it in and fever will break in a matter of five (5) minutes. I have four kids and have used this on ALL of them. It has absolutely always worked.

You can rub a few drops on chest for congestion or sinus trouble too. I have used two drops behind ear (rub all around area) for curing ear infections, ear pain, etc.

You can't beat it for cuts, they will never get infected! Best for little finger cuts as they are hard to keep clean! Also cures toenail fungus, especially seriously infected ones, drop several drops around nail bed, under nail, and around affected toe, with in hours, the pain is gone! Three times a day and the toe infection will be gone in a few days. My friend 6'11" male, was about to go to the ER when I told him to try this, he could barely walk! It was easy to walk in a matter of hours and completely cured in a few days! Three times a day several drops. Epsom salt soaks help to draw out infection and help pain too.

[YEA]  For the last 15 years I've had chronic sinusitis, post nasal drip, clogged nose, etc. I was constantly clearing my throat, and sometimes coughing. I snored a lot, which my wife didn't appreciate, and the snoring actually would wake me up in the middle of the night, leaving me tired in the morning. I seemed to catch colds more easily than before, but I attributed this to my very frequent plane travel.

Doctors prescribed antibiotics, but I they did not fully cure the problem and when I stopped the treatment, every symptom returned. (And I just don't like unnatural treatments.) Others said it was allergies.

I wondered: Could my sinusitis be a fungal problem? More exploring on the internet found the answer:

In 1999 Mayo Clinic researchers found the cause of most chronic sinus infections to be an immune system response to fungus, and that this may kick off a secondary bacteriological infection. It is not an allergic reaction, but an immune reaction.
Again, I felt betrayed by the medical profession. Why hadn't anyone told me this?

I went to the health and vitamin store to look for an anti-fungal nasal spray, and nothing met my requirements or budget ($10-15 for a one ounce bottle of ingredients seemed way out of line.) Here's the formula I "invented:"

1. Rinse out a 1 ounce nasal spray bottle
2. Add one eye-dropper (approximately 1 ML) of Oregano Juice (NOT Oregano Oil –it's too strong and will not dissolve in water)
3. Add a pinch of salt (approximately ½ ML) (Iodized salt is OK – iodine is a good anti-fungal)
4. Fill the rest of the sprayer with distilled water, and shake well until the salt is dissolved.

Spray as frequently as once an hour until symptoms subside. For me, this solution began working within an hour; most symptoms were gone in three days. And the price of the ingredients per bottle is just a few pennies.

If the oregano/saline solution is too strong for you, dilute in half with water. If you want, you can add a drop of eucalyptus oil with ½ ML of glycerin, (which will bond the oil to water). I now spray once or twice a day, just to prevent any recurrence.

A very dear friend, who is 75, has had awful sinusitis for years. He heavily cleared his throat every minute or two. I told him of this simple formula, and two days later he called me to say it was working. He then said with amazement: "I don't believe it, we've been talking for over 15 minutes and I haven't had to clear my throat once!"

There are articles and books that claim that some cancers are caused by fungus. If this is true, taking action on fungus early may be very beneficial in the long run. It's time we gave fungus a deeper analysis.

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]   I wanted to give feedback about the oregano of oil. It works great for toe nail fungus. I started applying the wild oregano of oil to my toe nails after 5 days it was half cured. I have been using the oil for about 5 months and my toe nails are almost 99.9% cured. It is great to have nice toe nails again. I can wear open toe shoes again. I used the oil at the beginning twice daily straight from the bottle and I applied or rubbed the oil with a cotton tip. I suffered from this condition(white patches) for about 10 yrs! Thank you for the previous posting.

[YEA]   I have been using wild oil of oregano for my gum issues, but I am writing regarding my feet, lol. I had been struggling with one toe's skin split between the toes, washing and hydrogen peroxiding it. Didn't seem to help though. After a couple days that toe began itching in that area and on the front of the toe too. After scratching all day, I didn't feel like going to the store and looking for an OTC product. I had the wild oil of oregano there and wondered what would happen if I put a couple of drops on the split and itching area. I rubbed it in and waited. After a while the severe itching stopped, but tried to come back. I refrained from scratching and the desire to scratch subsided more and more. Next day the itching is gone. The split area seems to be healing too. Feels normal again. So if this ever happens to you, give it a shot. I am glad I did!
