BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hi! OP doers, wish you all & our beloved earth clinic a very happy new year. I have stopped writing on this nice site but actually did not stop my OP at all. As continuation to my last addition, I would like to tell that I dare not stop OP after having experienced benefits from my Sesame-OP. Going on doing at all times 2 times both in the morning and night.

As already missed to tell as to why I was doing OP, I have been doing it mainly for the problem of indigestion & swollen nodes of my throat. It is 1 year + 3 months since I had started doing OP in Sep' 2013 in which duration my problem is addressed by OP. The pain at my hip and neck have reduced to some more extent.

I have to add here that from 12/1/2015, I started doing OP 3 consequent and continuous times, one after another in the early morning and 1 time in the night with empty stomach. I noticed on 14/1/2015 that I lost my audible voice, as if for shouting/talking/singing too much & too long. I have to try hard to talk loud but sound is very less and not so audible. On doing 3rd consequent time of OP, a lot of mucus/phlegm is coming out on spitting with coughing. On 16/1/15 I am slowly getting back my audible voice. even at this moment of writing like this also, my voice is not completely clear and audible. Again in the night if I try to do 2 consequent times instead of 1 time, the swollen nodes are found still visibly swollen in the morning. then I stopped doing 2 times in the night and doing only 1 time along with 3 consequent times of OP in the morning.

One important and great effect that I got out of this 3 consequent times of OP in the morning is that my mind is terribly fresh and clear. remembrance power is also improved much better. digestion power also improved better.

Recently, in one site I read that many are doing urine therapy (drinking urine daily in the early morning, also massaging their body). Is it right to do Urine therapy along with OP. After reading a lot on Urine therapy, I found this one to be better than OP. But I could not and dare not stop my 1year+3months-old OP at all. Can any one comment on this and advise?

On 09/27/2013, Ed2010 from Canada replied to me : "One time OP in the morning is enough. Doing OP removes toxins, parasites through mucus membranes. When you remove toxins and other elements give your body 24 hours to rest and heal. And of course there will be detox symptoms initially.

I should have asked this friend one doubt on that date itself but missed to do so. Now, I request this friend, when we remove toxins, shall our body becomes tired ? If so, how and why ? Shall our body doing heavy work in the process of oil pulling?

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

It is six months since I have oil pulling with sesame oil moving my mouth in various shapes, raising my teeth up and down and allowing the oil to move all the corners of the mouth. On this, the oil becomes watery only after 20 or 25 minutes or sometimes after 30 minutes. But, from 1st February 2014 I.e. on 6th month, seeing some oil pulling video, I have been pulling the oil keeping my lips in round shape so that my teeth will leave some gap to allow the oil forwards, backwards and sideways. On doing so it is surprising to see that the oil becomes watery correctly on 15th minute. It is also surprising to see recently that the oil becomes watery completely after 10 minutes. again continuing for another 5 minutes, I spit out the oil since the oil should not be kept for more time in mouth not allowing the accumulated bacteria or viruses to re-enter into the mouth. Now, I have the doubt that whether the previous pulling is better one or not I.e. keeping our mouth in various shapes and allowing the oil to move all the corners of our mouth or that whether the later type of pulling, I.e. pulling oil keeping our lips in round shape and allowing the oil to move all the corners of the mouth or that whether such early becoming of oil to be watery is normal in course of the days irrespective of type of movement of our mouth ?. I request the readers not to think that this is a silly doubt. But I want to get clarification from the oil pullers as every simple and silly matter pertaining to oil pulling is very important for me.

Thank you Mr. Timh from Ky, Usa for according a kind reply. Thank you very much. I am really dissatisfied for not getting advises from adequate number of OIlpullers as regards the back-to-back method of oilpulling. But, still been in anticipation.

Now, again I want to ask another question. That is, is it right for the High blood pressure + blood sugar oilpullers to wash their mouth with salt water. ? I firmly aver that salt water swishing for cleaning our mouth after oilpulling, on daily basis, will definitely raise their blood pressure. and may lead to some unwanted repercussions. Expecting all the oilpullers of all kinds of oil to respond accordingly.

Thank you Mr.Timh for your responding and updating.

Can any one clarify whether a High Blood Pressure (BP) persons can clean their mouth with salt water after OP or not. On doing so, will there be any chance for their BP to rise high and affect their brain nerves to blast which results in death. Also please clarify the same for persons with Blood Pressure + Blood Sugar, since my brother has both BP and Blood sugar/Urine sugar? Early Clarification is solicited.

Thank you Mr.Timh from Ky, Usa for responding quickly and timely. You added in your answer to my question that you followed the back-toback method and appreciated it. Very good. And you also added that you faced the problem of "esophagus". You see Mr.Timh, you just mentioned the name of the problem. But, it would be more beneficial for others if you include your facing of the problem in detail, its nature and the course etc. More over this "esophagus" is not a usual word or vocabulary that we often come across. Therefore it would be better to include our experience in detail so that others also identify their problem, if any, with this. Now, Mr. Timh, I would like to ask you that why did you stop doing back-to-back method of oilpulling for this reason of esaphagus. Why don't you think as it is one of the side effects of this back-toback OP method. It should be born in my mind that whatever the side effects that we face in the course of our Oilpulling, we should not stop doing oilpulling. we should keep on doing. Instead we can seek some medicine for the relief of such side effects, without stopping OP (oilpulling). This is my personal belief only. Not any confirmed belief. In the next inclusion, please explain in detail when did your problem start?, how it influenced you?, what are the problems and how you faced them? Which made you stop doing so?. Did you think that oilpulling should not be done at the point of our sudden facing of any side effects like that of yours.? Please respond accordingly.

One oil puller namely "Mmsg from Somewhere, Europe" advised me to do OP only for 1 time and then later agreed to my 2 times OP and asked to do OP to my hearts' content. While I thank this oil-puller, I would like to ask Mr. "Ed2010 from Canada " who also advised me that One time OP in the morning is enough. Now I am asking this canada friend also that " Is it right to do OP 2 times, one immediately after another. That is after finishing OP for 20 minutes and washing our mouth, can we immediately start doing OP another time ? Can anyone answer this question correctly with their experience. ? I think this type of back-to-back OP is also equal to do only 1 time OP (oilpulling). Whybecasue, 2 tiimes OP as objected by this fried is having a break between each time. 2 times of morning and evening OP is having the break of 10 to 15 hours between them. And, 3 tiimes OP I.e. morning, afternoon and night, is having break between each of them atleast 4 to 5 hours break or gap between them. But the back-to-back OP, I.e. doing one OP after another immediately totally 2 times, does not have gap or break between them. Break or gap here means that break of filling our stomach with some solid or liquid food. But this back-to-back OP is not having any gap I.e we are not eating or drinking anything. With the same empty stomach we are continuously doing OP for 2 or 3 times, immediately one after another, of course, after cleaning our mouth and teeth after each time of this back-to-back OP.

I believe that not only this canada friend who advised me but also other Oilpullers also would respond to my above question, but in detail. if possible after experimenting this back-to-back method.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hello friends, I started OP with Sesame Oil from 01.09.2013 morning. The first day, I experienced too much activeness, clear mind. I am enjoing my bath. After three days, Good sleep. Sleeping, unknowingly falling into deep sleep. My skin is clear and fresh. Normal and more free motions but no tight motions. From, 8.09.2013, I started OP two times a day i.e before breakfast and dinner, again no tight motion. But, from 13.09.2013, I have been pulling three times a day, i.e., before breakfast, lunch and dinner. From this day onwards until typing like this at this minute, I feeling much difficult to go motion which turned tight. Before motion, I experience a light pain at my stomach and release of litttle gas inducing me to go motion. I use much force to release motion, but release nothing. But, after this type of difficult motion, I feel free of the that little inducing pain eventhough I did not go freemotion as ever before. There is no any severe stomach pain which is generally felt by some to some or more extent while they are not going free motions. After this type of tight motion and releasing of too little or drop-like amount, sensation to go motion vanishes. But, again someother time it starts. From 13.09.2013, I have been drinking 1 and 1/2 litre water immediately after OP. I give minimum gap of 3 hours gap before the lunch OP and 4 hours before the dinner OP. I don't want to take any medicine to make tight motion lose since I want this to happen naturally. I understand that this one of the side effect of OP but for good. I do not know how many more days would my problem continue. Can any one comment on this please.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hello all! I started oil pulling about 1 month ago after reading this site - thank you for such an information rich source to read about OP. On to my story with OP.

I am not one to shy away from a challenge so the 'healing crisis' haven't detered me, but I must say they have been intense!

Initially I started to work on my mouth, I have had braces and plates and noticed that my teeth were moving very quickly, I also had receeding gums which my dentist told me was from pressure of my bite. I immediately noticed an improvement in my oral health, teeth which felt loose tightened up and gums are growing back and teeth do look lighter. I don't need to wear my plate at night like I used to!

Secondly, I had cystic acne when I was younger and went onto roaccutane for it (evil medicine) which worked but I would still have the occasional breakout appear. The oil pulling went straight to this next and I found myself breaking out severely, I knew this was part of the healing crisis so continued, that cleared up.

Next I broke out in rashes which looked like ring worm or dermatitis which I have never had when younger but now came in full force. I have been persisting with it and now doubled up oil pulling to morning and night - I now do 20 minutes each time, and brush with aryuvedic toothpaste as well - which I recommend.

The latest and by far most severe is a red scalp irritation - so my skin is hyper sensitive at this time - even though I was using aryuvedic shampoo. This has all been about the past week or so.

I would love to hear from other people who have encountered this, how long your healing crisis go for, etc. I know and can FEEL that this is all healing and working its way out so I am not giving up. I can also attest for the notable difference in overall emotions and mindset, the regular removal of toxins you aren't even aware of lightens the mood ridiculously well!

Good luck.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I've tried oil pulling for a few months with some short breaks. I'm using cold processed sesame oil. I've noticed a lot of benefits (reduced psoriasis, more energy--great substitute for morning coffee) but one side effect. My teeth seem to get more sensitive to cold and hot. Very noticably so. Anyone else have this problem? Would switching oil types help? By the way, I switched from Whole Foods brand to Spectrum and noticed a big change in freshness and taste.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I recently started OPing every morning with Organic Sesame Oil and noticed immediate positive results: my skin softened and pores shrank dramatically (I actually got many compliments on my skin), my dry eye symptoms were completely gone after 15 years of suffering, my eczema started to disappear, my Chronic Fatigue lessened and I had more energy, and my chronic sinusitis started to clear up. I was truly amazed and in such relief!

After two weeks of OPing, some of my symptoms have returned and even worsened. My skin looks tired and dry again, my eyes are extremely dry, bloodshot and in pain, My fatigue is worse then ever and I have barely enough energy to get out of bed, my eczema is back, and suddenly I'm having dandruff. Luckily my sinusitis has not returned. What is happening??? I was so hopeful that I had finally found a cure for the ailments that had plagued me for so long. I have a myriad of other health issues, in addition to the aforementioned, that I was also hoping would eventually improve from OPing. I can't help but feel frustrated and heartbroken. Any insight and/or suggestions will be so much appreciated. Thank you!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hello,
Started oil pulling Feb 7th. I found it on internet was intriqued and looked into it. I figured it wouldn't hurt me. I tried EVOO. I have a strong reflux so it took a couple of attempts. I noticed a difference with my teeth after 2 days. Stains gone and when I woke up in the am no plaque. Amazing! I kept it to myself, I had a dentist app on the 28th and wanted to know what he thought. He was quite impressed. Said he never saw my gums ever look so healthy. Hardly any plaque, no sensitivity and healthy gums. He said he would look into it and wrote this website down. I have tired coconut oil, but enjoy it better in my coffee and on my skin and hair. My question at long last, I just started sesame oil, and have noticed a smell like wood burning, frequently. Has anyone experienced any strong smells? It seems to be always there. Appreciate your feedback!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I started oil pulling 3 days ago, 3 times/day, using Cold pressed Sesame Oil. I eat well and do Bikram Yoga 4 times/week and I run a couple of times per week. I don't drink and I don't smoke. I drink plenty of water with, always with apple cider vinegar for dinner, and I take Virgin Coconut Oil for my underactive thyroid. So I am doing what I can to stay healthy. Anyway, I think I must have a huge bladder because no matter how much water I drink (quite a bit daily) I rarely have to urinate, and I NEVER have to go during night.

This is what happened the night after oil pulling day 1: I had to go and empty my bladder twice! No, I did not have more or less water/tea/juice than usual. This is unheard of in my case. The 2nd day I had to urinate frequently throughout the day and the same went for day three. So I began googling "frequent urination" and read that it is a classic detox symptom. Ha! Is what I say to all narrow minded cynical sceptics. Morover my teeth have never been so white and I feel more mental clarity, more refreshed upon waking up. I'll keep doing this to see where it will take me!

I started oil pulling with sesame seed oil last week. I saw changes in my gums and whiter teeth. I also had great results with my joints. On Wednesday the 1 week anniversary, I got the worst headache of my life. I haven't oil pulled since. So only 2 days. Could it be detox?

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I started OPing 3 weeks back. Within 3 days of oil pulling with sesame oil I had severe reactions as in my Blood Pressure dropped considerably, had a feeling of extreme fatigue and felt some pain in my chest. I took it as healing crisis and thought of continuing with OPing but because of lowering of BP i had to stop it. Within a week i was recovered of the symptoms and felt comparatively fresh and energetic. Now, since last 5 days I have started OPing again with saseme oil I can notice whiter teeth, but now I have started gaining weight. Believe it or not in last 4 days I have gained around 2 kgs. I am sure its because of OPing as my entire lifestyle is same as before. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I tried the oil pulling for bleeding gums and a tooth that had started to feel loose. I did 10 minutes two mornings with unrefined sesame oil followed by brushing with baking soda. The results were amazing for my tooth and sums. The tooth was not loose anymore, no bleeding and I could chew on that side after many months. However, I started to feel sore with serious headaches and neck pain, and fatigue. I have chronic fatigue, and I really try to avoid doing anything that would trigger this. So, I stopped the oil pulling. Things got worse, I had to go see my doctor, he said I was badly congested and that was causing the severe headaches and neck pain. Now I am on 3 different medications with no relief. Could this be due to the oil pulling? Did it bring out all this mucus without getting rid of it?

Any comments would be appreciated. I would like to go back to the oil pulling for my teeth, but cannot risk the sinus congestion. One episode last year led to 5 months on 2 different antibiotics, and I really wish to avoid a repeat. Thanks.

HI everyone...love this site so much...I oil pulled using sesame oil...unrefined, organic using a drop of peppermint oil and a drop of tea tree as a detoxer and for gum disease...started on Sun. and continued up until Thursday...to keep in mind I have oil pulled before..but this time I experienced terrible joint and bone pain and like usual..I get very depressed ...so I decided to take an epsom salt bath which didn't help..so today,(thursday).. I thought of using a charcoal capsule to see if it would absorb anything causing this pain...and within a few hours noticed that it is not so painful....wonder what it was causing the pain...candida die off or metal poisoning being dislodged from areas that it settled in...the pain in my leg bones is what started to worry me a bit...I am sitting on the floor as I type this..and usually after sitting on the floor I can barely get up, now since I took that charcoal capsule...it is much easier to get up from the floor, a little distant pain right now will see what happens...I think I will take it easy on the oil pull...the effects were to drastic for me..with this terrible depression and arthritic pain...but it does work...when I spit out the oil after 20 minutes in the toilet...and forget to flush right away..it will turn blackish around the inside rim...like tiny specks and I'm thinking ...ick..that is what I pulled?...I am relying on it to cure my gum disease and am using the tips from Ted...with using Milk of Magnesia as a mouth wash and with supplements..will let you know in a month if it worked for me.....:)

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I started oil pulling about a week ago.I used safflower oil the first 2 days , then switched to sesame seed oil. I have had a terrible pain in my upper left teeth for over a year. had all kinds of dental exams, x-rays, panorex x-rays and a c-scan. Nothing could be found that was causing the tooth pain.I have also have constant sinus drainage on the left side for several years. I am extremely sensitive to almost all allergy medications, anti-biotics, medications of any kind.I am also hypothyroid, and have a lot of problems regulating my thyroid dosage. I started the oil pulling in desperation to try and find some relief from the tooth and facial pain. I am using 1 tablespoon of sesame seed oil 3 times a day. Morning, at 4 p.m. and at 10 pm. I follow the oil pulling treatment with a netipot treatment using purified, boiled salt water.I have had copious sinus drainage, it is milky white , thick and foamy. No sign of infection, just the foamy white color. The pain in my face and tooth is about 80 percent improved. this is the first tme in over a year that I have not been in constant pain from the tooth. I have had some side effects, have had spells of dizziness and some nausea. my appetite is not good, and on the 4th days, I had colon cleansing. This morning I am having some dizziness and nausea. anyone else doing this that is hypothyroid and on medication? I would love to hear feedback from you . Did this interfer at all with your thyroid medication? I am hoping to get past the dizziness and nausea, hoping this is just temporary.....Wanda

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I have been oil pulling for seven days now (first 3 days with EVOO, and the last 4 days with cold pressed sesame oil). Today, after oil pulling, washing my mouth out the with baking soad, sea salt, and warm water combintion, I immediately brushed my teeth with olive oil soap and flossed. In addition, I scraped my tongue (with a metal scrapper) which I don't do too often. Well, after I had done all that I blew my nose and was shocked to see blood coming out of my left nostril! I have never experienced a nose bleed in my entire life (40 years old). Do you think I just blew too hard or is this a cleansing reaction from the oil pulling?

I too have experienced some positive results ever since oil pulling: my chronic bad breath is much improved; my arm pits don't stink anymore; and an old injury in my left arm resurfaced (with pain for 2 days) only to be now healed hopefully for good. I know I have a long way to go to cleanse my entire body. I always thought that the only true way to remove toxins quickly was by fasting, but I am so happy to have now found another way of doing it (while still enjoying food)! Thank you so much Earth Clinic and a big thank you to all of the people who have posted their feedbacks, as I found their comments enlightening. Best wishes to everyone on this site.
