"Does anyone know how you use borax for fleas?"Posted By Jayna (Orange County, CA) on 09/26/2023
"Borax in small containers of water will kill household pests like roaches, spiders, and etc. I would not use it on an animal. I have used Organic Food Grade Diatamaceous Earth with great success. (DiatamaciousEarth.com) I gave a totally flea-covered calico who adopted us a dry bath with it (being careful around her eyes.) Then I put some in her wet food. Doing these killed the fleas on the outside and inside. She totally recovered and was with us for many years. She never again had a problem with fleas. It can also be shaken in a bag with dry pet food.DE is 95% silica I also daily take a tblsp. mixed in one glass of Organic Low Sodium Chicken Bone Broth (high in protein and collagen! ) Aldi store has a good inexpensive brand."Posted By jeff (idaho) on 09/26/2023
"I use 2 tablespoons of borax to 1 tablespoon of dawn liquid soap.
borax is a salt and you can use a dog shampoo as the surfactant.
I like to make sure to scrub and rinse well.
try 3 times a week and see results"

"How can I use Borax to treat Fleas in Dogs and cats? Bathing? I would do love to know as I do not like to use the horrible and very toxic over the counter Flea treatments sold in Pet shops. My cat had a major reaction to the spot on neck treatment which burnt his skin where I had applied it.. days later the patch of hair had fallen out. I have 2 American Bulldogs with active Fleas and would love to also prevent the flea eggs from hatching and stopping the cycle"
