Tooth Infection and Tooth Abscess Remedies: Q&A
Last Modified on Dec 31, 2007
I just had a baby Sept 24th and I am exclusively breastfeeding her. Now that I am reading more of your posts, I'm wondering if I had a herx effect? I'm so worried about any damage I might have cause my baby girl by me being on the antibiotic. And I've had extremely itching skin since the first round of antibiotic...fungus?
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: Most cysts occur because of metabolic acidosis bought on by the antibiotics. Antibiotics generally causes the body to become acidic, and in an attempt by the body to neutralize the acidity, the calcium is used as an emergency, resulting in excess fluids that are high in calcium, because of the lack of available bicarbonates to do the job. I have had other people told me their cysts completely disappeared with just taking 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day, or in another case three times a day. Once the body has neutralize the acidity, excess serum calcium is reduced, and the cysts will slowly reduced. Some help can be noted with the taking of 1 tablespoon of granulated lecithin along with the food. To allow the body to better utilze the calcium, a magnesium supplements usually in the form I preferred of magnesium citrate, or magnesium chloride in case it's not available. The body often needs a magnesium: calcium ratio of 2:1, but in practice, the dietary calcium to magnesium often is imbalanced. The usual dose I have observed to have helped is between 250 mg - 500 mg of magnesium citrate often taking about 5 days out of a week. Usually it is my observation that a woman will often have lactic acidosis or even more common metabolic acidosis during pregnancy which persist even months after childbirth. And hence bicarbonates, magnesium and lecithin were the major supplements. However, vitamin B complex, usually B50, will further help the body control the pH better, especially from the thiamine component of the B1. The form of thiamine I prefer is the thiamine mononitrate, as opposed to thiamine hydrochloride. So I may read the bottles and make sure that it is about 50 mg of thiamine mononitrate, along with 50 mg of B2, B3 (niacinamide), B6, and choline with possible exception of folic acid, and B12, which might often be in mcg. In general, a baking soda 1/2 teaspoon, or another remedy just 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass taken twice a day or three times a day can slowly prevent the cyst buildup. A small pinch of potassium citrate, such as 1/8 teaspoon along with the usual remedy may further help the cysts by reduction in size too. Still magnesium citrate remedy I must also used along with it too. Antibiotics tend to cause the body to be deficient in vitamin Bs, especially the B1, as well as cause the body to retain excess heavy metals. One or two day drinking of green tea no sugar no milk, which amounts to 3-4 cups would at least reduce the free heavy metals buildup caused by the antibiotics. It's a simple chelation, using the green tea, but I have found it to be helpful, but I prefer not to take too much, hence the one or two day should do the job in ridding of excess metals. The use of antibiotics may lead to a fungus, which result in the itch, and the apple cider vinegar and baking soda may deal with this best, a baking soda alone can also help too. There was one person who had fungus all over his body that lasted years and years and began disappearing using just the baking soda, which obviously stopped his itch. In case it was not help, I found it also helpful to use dechlorinator usually it's 10% sodium thiosulfate, solution applied to the skin, or add a couple of drops into the drinking water. A liter for me I might add about 10 drops of 10% sodium thiosulfate. This helped greatly in reducing acidity, metabolic acidosis, and some reduction of metals as the sodium thiosulfate also remove heavy metals. In larger amounts it tends to reduce excess serum calcium too. If cysts need to be reduce in greater amounts than this, or a more agressive reduction of calcium, I might use a simple 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda plus 2 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice in 1/2 glass of water taken three times a day. This seems to remove excess serum calcium leading to cysts and worked twice faster than the baking soda. However, some people think it takes too much time to prepare, but I have noticed this remedy to work faster. It takes about 2-3 weeks to notice some improvement reduction of cysts, however. It should be noted that cysts don't occur overnight, but more than a year has gone before this formed, especially the 9 months pregnancy but antibiotics may have accelerated the problem. Taking or applying sodium thiosulfate alone may in some instances reduce the itchiness, but there are other remedies. However, this should cover most of the problem in my opinion.
