I found this site a couple of months ago when suffering for the third time with kidney stones. I did not want to go through surgery again. I had just had an ultrasound and had been informed I had two medium (7mm) stones in one kidney and a large one (14mm) in the other.

The consultant told me I'd have to have surgery again and ordered a CT scan, which took place about a month after the the ultrasound. In the meantime, as soon as I read the remedies here, I immediately drank a glass of olive oil and lemon juice. An hour later I felt really ill and almost vomited, so I didn't try it again. Instead I started drinking ACV once a day, and kept this up most days for a few weeks.

Today I saw the consultant about the results of the CT scan, and he told me the stones are gone! There is just a small 2mm stone in one kidney, too small to worry about, he said.

Thank you so much for the remedies, you've saved me from a gruesome op!!

As a note of advice, don't try LJ and OO on an empty stomach! Take it after food only.

Thank you, thank you, thank you... Everyone of you... For the information you so gladly post on this site!!! I am new to the entire field of "kidney stones" and must say I do not like them one bit! A few days ago, I noticed slight pain around my lower back on the left side. It wasn't too bad but noticeble to be irritating. I didn't give much thought to it and after approx. 15 min. or so, it went away. I noticed it again a few hours later but the mild pain went away again.

At about 4:30am, I woke to use the bathroom and noticed the pain had come back but increased a little. After stretching, rubbing, and massaging, it seemed to still linger over the next 1/2 hr or so but slightly built up as the minutes ticked by. By 6am I was rocking on all fours on the floor, then to the bed, then back to the floor just trying to ease the pain a little. I could no longer take it and decided to have my wife take me to the ER. There, I was diagnosed with having "the stones". I recall having the desire to punch my physician in the throat for "thumping" my kidney with a fist in order to determine my response and confirm the symtoms of having kidney stones. From the squirming I was doing and the combination of noises I was making and the expressions on my face, I felt the thumping was not necessary. I always had this suspicion that doctors do things intentionally to laugh and joke about later... Anyway, I was more than upset to say the least.

My nurse had given me 3 doses of Morphine to decrease the torture I was going thru but to no avail. I was twisting back and forth in agony and could only moan in my pillow for some semblance of relief. I was finally given an IV Drip of Dolobid (10 times stronger than Vicoden I'm told) and a button to push every 10 min. in order to release and self administer another dose. I was woozy and light headed but delusionally happy and could now endure the excrutiating pain which seemed to slowly drift away until I felt almost nothing.

I have a high tolerance for pain and have had some terrible experiences with "what I thought" was painful but this pain not just took the cake... It blew the cake into pieces...! I was admitted and remained for 2 1/2 days until I could deal with a tolerable degree of pain while on pain meds at home while waiting for these nasty buggers to pass. I talked to one of the male nurses in order to mentally prepare myself for what to expect and I was glad to learn that he had dealt with stones before. Taking the opportunity to learn from an "experienced stone sufferer", I thought to ask questions about what to expect. I was told that there was no pain quite like it. He told me about one patient who didn't know they had stones until they went to pee in an alley behind a bar one day, and while passing a stone, he felt like digging his hands into the bricks and picking the building up and slamming into the ground until it was out..... That's when I decided to go online to seek out help on how to pass them "smoothly" and avoid ripping my toilet from the floor in the process. I had been diagnosed as having 3 stones in my left kidney with one of them recently breaking off and preparing to make its way out.

I now thank God for you guys... I first learned about drinking a glass of fresh lemon juice, followed by a glass of water and 1oz of lemon juice each hr for the next 12 hrs. I did this and a small stone the size of a pin head came out a few hours later.. And with no pain. I was amazed at how this tiny little thing could cause so much irritation and agony just a few hours earlier. I then experienced a stone getting lodged about 2 inches inside my penis a few days later. It felt like I was "peeing" a glass shard.

I went back online and found the lemon and olive oil combination. Almost immediately after drinking it, the pain subsided and became bearable. It doesn't hurt to pee but it does hurt like a monkey when brushed up against anything. I am wondering if the olive oil will make this stone, which seems to have a jagged edge, smoother to expel even though it is caught in the shaft. I am anxious to write back to notify you all of the outcome. Until then, do take care and happy expelling...

Hi Brown Bomber... If the lemon and olive oil isn't working for you, try taking Chanca piedra -- either as a tea drunk at least three times a day or as 1000 mgs capsules taken at mealtimes. CP works to gently but rapidly dissolve both gallstones and kidney stones. It dissolves the calcium in kidney stones for easier excretion.

Chanca piedra is well known in South America. Chanca piedra(Spanish) and Quebra pedra(Portugese) both translate to mean "Breaking Stone".

I was diagnosed with a 5mm kidney stone. I am a female, 40. I have 3 children and I can tell you, the pain felt like labor contractions. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, but wow, really quite painful.

I am due back to the doctor's for another exam and maybe stenting. Like many of you, I would rather save money and try the lemon/olive oil method.

I actually tried it this morning and will do it again tonight. One site said it would clear in 24 hours. I have read mixed reviews on time frame. I will let you know if I pass it.

Good luck to the rest of you.

I DID IT!! What a relief I feel. I did 1t of Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of water, two hours later 2 t Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of water, two hours later 3/4 cup of olive oil with 1/2 cup of lemon juice laid on right side for 30 minutes, they went to sleep. Next day still fasted, (actually started my fast at noon the previous day) but drank not to dehydrate. At around noon I released about 50 floaters, they disolved, they I keep my sample for my peace of mind to look and they were about 200 hard stones!! The press on my right side is gone and I feel so much better. Going to do it again this Friday just to make sure I am clean till next year. My CT scan show layers of stones and they advised to remove the gallbladder. I also drink the apple cider vinegar so I am praying that disolves the cyst on my ovary! Praise GOD for people that want to help us save our organs that God gave to us!! Hope this helps you.

Debra from Conroe is referring to a Gallbladder Liver Flush in the last reply to brown bomber. That is not the procedure for a Kidney stone removal. But a great procedure for the liver flush that everyone should do to get your gall Bladder and liver work at 100 percent and to avoid the unnecessary removal of the Gall Bladder that the doctors say is required for those situations. They also claim the Gall Bladder is unnecessary which I don't believe because alot of people that have them removed still get Liver Stones.

Pour juice of one freshly squeezed lemon into glass (might be 3 to 7 tablespoonfuls depending on lemon's size). Add olive oil to the glass, between half and the same amount as the lemon juice. Stir it in well, then drink the mixture all at once, no sipping. Now drink a glass of water, 10 to 12 ounces. (A basic vegetable salad dressing is oil and vinegar, but lemon juice here tastes better.)

Do every 15 minutes or half hour, if in strong pain, or 3 times a day during a mild stone event - until you feel the liquid working. You'll feel it at work usually within 5 minutes.

The lemon juice breaks down the stones, the oil lubes your system for pain-free elimination via urinating. It takes 10 to 12 hours to go thru your system. You'll feel it break down the stones, like melting or crumbling away. Be near a bathroom when it's time. The urination feel free flow like a racehorse or young teenager. Totally absolutely routine and painless but looks kind of grayish clear instead of the dark yellow. We've had 7mm stones totally pass during a few urinations over 48 hours. Tho dr exams in ER showed stones of that size, they deny stones were even there, when we told them how we cured it.

Husb always clogs in kidneys due to high calcium in his meds for acid reflux and asthma with alkaseltzer cold cough plus, sudafed, tums. (he gets really ill on ACV, I love the stuff) My stones are always in the urinary tubes. Such relief as you actually feel them break down into nothing. (We also rub lemon rind on chrome sink fixtures to clean them bleach dripping on the porcelain is too caustic, we put lemon rinds in dishpan for easier rinsing of dishes, I sprinkle a pinch of fresh lemon zest under the roses outside where ants often invade.)

Drank 50mil of olive oil and 50 mil of lemon juice mixed twice (night and morning). (Tried ACV but found it too gross. ) Then two more 50 mil of just lemon juice (again night and morning). Woke up this morning and really feel that the stone had been zapped by the acid of the lemon juice - experienced no "flicks" of pain or pain itself the whole day. Perhaps too early to say but am feeling very, very positive.

Two weeks ago I went to the emergency room because I couldn't go to the bathroom (not a drop). Found out I had a 6mm stone. I had a 5mm stone about two years ago and had to have lithotrypsy. This time almost no pain associated with the stone. I couldn't afford a doctors visit let alone any kind of procedure in the hospital so I started looking for home remedies. I found the olive oil and lemon juice recipe and figured why not? Tried 2oz. of each along with 1tbsp. of Apple Cider Vinegar for good measure two or three times a day. This recipe along with the Flomax prescription I received at the E. R. Took a little over a week but, MAN! , it did the trick! A couple of nights ago all of the sudden I had this sharp, screaming pain while going to the bathroom and felt something pass through and heard a small splash. The pain lasted about two seconds with the pain diminishing over the next two or three minutes with a little discomfort for a day or so and everything has been great since. I whole heartedly recommend this remedy!!

I have had back pain and abdominal pain for the past 2-3 months but I thought it was just from a pulled muscle boxing up and moving.... Went to the emergency room and they told me I had a UTI(urinary tract infection) so they gave me meds and took them for two weeks.... The pain just got worse so I went back to the ER oly for them to do a ct scan and there it was a 14. 8 mm stone and a 3 mm stone... I was like holy crap... Ive had stones before but never one that big.... The dr was amazed at how I was still able to walk around and work and care for my son.... I have done a lot of research and today I am trying this lemon juice and olive oil remedy just to see if it will possibly break down this big stone so that I can pass it some how... Where the kidney stone is according to the dr he says that he will not blast the stone until it starts to move or I am in pain... Well I dont want to wait for that to happen because I do not want permanent kidney damage or failure bc of this stone... So I am going to try this and see if it works.

I have never experienced any pain from kidney stone. I am in Merchant Navy and I went through medical test prior boarding the ship. Unfortunately, a small stone of 3mm was detected and I could not board. It's been 2 months I have been trying different remedies inckuding homeopathy and ayurvedic medicines and nothing worked for me. I tried Olive oil and Lemon juice remedy for 3 days but nothing has come up. I got the x-ray done and stone is still there. It's in right kidney lower pole calyx, which I heard is very difficult to pass. Could you please advise the quantity and number of times I should take OO and Lemon juice mixture? I would keep going with the OO lemon juice and also add in a Tbsp of epsom salt in warm water. Espom relaxes all the ducts and helps release and dissolve the stones. For gall bladder stone pain this works within 30min for me. Make sure you are near a bathroom because the epsom will definitely make you go. Also consider supplementing on a regular basis with magnesium powder, tastes good, not as harsh as epsom, very bio-available and should keep you from getting stones in the future. Apple cider taken for 3 days with nothing else is also said to get rid of kidney stones as well. Some good tips here as well:

I have been trying ACV and OO lemon remedy for more than a week and it din't work for me. I have tried almost all types of doses which have been mentioned by various people in previous posts. I am thinking of give up on both of these and I am really sad that what should I do now. My stone is in lower pole calyx of right kidney ( size-3mm ). I think it's difficult to pass the stone from lower calyx and also maybe it's difficult to dissolve it. Any suggestion would be really appreciated. Thanks!!

I have had calcium oxalate stones in both kidneys for at least 15 years. I've passed at least 5. The least painful experience was last year, after I tried the olive oil/lemon juice remedy. I sat in a warm bath and sipped it slowly and followed it with tall glasses of lemon water. I passed the stone the next morning.

My question to all of you who have experienced passing multiple stones, many without pain: I have numerous stones in both kidneys. I am hesitant to use this remedy to try to remove all of them at once. My experience was dealing with a stone that was already moving. As you know, the stones I have in the kidneys don't bother me until one of them pops out. The thought of pushing them all out at once, is kind of horrifying.

Have many of you successfully done this? Was it painful? Did it take long, weeks, months? Did you have to take a vacation and plan on feeling terrible with percaset at the ready? I am seriously contemplating trying to cleanse my kidneys completely, but I don't want to incapacitate myself indefinitely.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Today, in desperation for relief from the pain of a kidney stone, I found this site, and was quickly convinced that it would be worth the try to use the combination of fresh squeezed lemon juice and Extra Virgin Olive Oil to relieve my pain. I had to go to the store which was a challenge in itself, but, bought the ingredients, came home, mixed it up at 1:30, and by 4:30 the pain I've had for 6 days went away. TRY IT! YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE, and it will save a trip to the emergency room.

Hello. I tried this same remedy: One shot of lemon juice followed by one shot of olive oil first thing in the morning and before I went to bed. I did this remedy before I had a scheduled ct-scan to determine where the kidney stones were to schedule the laser surgery to remove them. ( I had a ultrasound before that confirm that I had kidney stones). When I went back to the urologist for the results of the ct-scan he said that my kidneys were clear. He asked, "what did you do"? I told him the remedy and he said.. Ahhh yeah.. The lemon juice dilutes the stones and it is easier to pass them. Of course he was not going to tell me this when I went the first time. He took x-rays, then sent me for ultrasound and then the CT Scan. Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you EC and everyone who shares their post. I saved $1800 which is the deductible from my insurance for surgery.

For those who suffer with IBD (Inflammatory bowel disease). My Urologist said Kidney Stones come with this disease (I have IBD). Now I'm sure the Lemon Juice/Olive Oil works for most but if you have IBD be careful. I did this remedy for a 24 hour period and got a real bad case of upset stomach and the runs; almost instantly. No passing of stones just a good cleaning out. So for those with IBD (most of us) Lemons are not a good thing and can make your IBD act up. I am now trying the Apple Cider Vinegar; and hoping for the best.

I have had calcium renal calculi diagnosed in both kidneys. One kidney was almost completely occluded with stone, and the other very full as well. I had lithotripsy followed by numerous surgeries. After the first 3 surgeries, my surgeon gave up referring me to another dr saying he 'couldn't get the angle' I then finally got all the rest of them out at LI Jewish Hospital. All of this happened concurrent to my breast cancer surgery and treatment. I was experiencing a return of flank pain and I saw this purge online and tried it. Following a 2x2 dose of lemon juice and olive oil, I passed 18 stones painlessly. I was surprised to see all the stones in one go come out of me ranging in diameter similiar to that of grains of sand which earlier caused me great pain, sweats and racking nausea. I now use this whenever I get signs of pain.

I just passed my fourth stone yesterday; what I do is take three Aleve to deal with the pain and drink lots of water, do the pacing and nausea but it passed. I had to take an Aleve every two hours this time!!! I will try this remedy. My brother-in-law drinks lime water every day and has not passed a stone in ten years. I'm drinking it as I type. As a chemist I can see how the acidic acid (sp?)in lemon or lime juice would help to dissolve the stones. I usually eat a lot of fruit and haven't done that lately; so that may be why I developed the stone?

I can feel it but really do not want to go thru another surgery, this would be my 4th in 3 yrs. From what I understand the lemon juice, and even more so the apple cider vinegar begins dissolving and softening the kidney stone. There can really be no other explanation, for if faced with passing a marble through my entire urethal system including the penis, I would be begging the doctors to cut it out. A marble travelling through my little buddy? Not in this lifetime.

For the past several days I have had severe pain from a 4mm kidney stone in my left kidney. I had a CT Scan that confirmed the stone had moved into the tube between kidney and bladder. My urologist prescribed Vicodin and said it should pass in 2 to 3 weeks. There was absolutely no way that I was going to wait that long so I started researching on line and found this site. After reading the entries, I drove myself the grocery store and bought the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a bottle of concentrated Lemon Juice and I drank both last night before I went to bed. Around 2:00 AM this morning I had some serious pain as the stone started moving down to my bladder, but the pain passed in about 30 minutes or so. This morning I got up and drank the olive oil, but instead of mixing the lemon juice into it, I made myself a big glass of lemonade with it and stirred in some honey. Big difference in taste and was so good I had two glasses. Around 1:00 PM this afternoon I saw sand like particles in my urine and at 5:00 PM this evening I passed the stone!

I am a believer. I have had stones twice before, once nearly 30 years ago and again just last month. Both were very painful and long duration experiences. I'm sure the lemon juice did help to break up the stone and the olive oil helped ease it out.

It now also makes sense as to why I had the stones in the first place. I'm sure they built up over time as I am prone to them, but for the past six weeks I have been actively losing weight and every morning I have been eating Grapefruit and an orange or two during the day as part of my diet plan. Citric acid, just like from the lemon has been slowly eating away at the stones and they got small enough to move out of my kidneys. At least that is my theory!

In any event, I will not soon forget this recipe for getting rid of kidney stones. Thank you! :)

This morning I was taken to a hospital with an ambulace, I did not know why I was in soo much pain. It woke me up at 4 am, and the pain is horrible, I delivered a child naturally and I would rather go through childbirth again than bare this pain. I just drank the lemon juice and olive oil and I pray that it works. No pain pill helps at all so I really hope for this remedy to work. we will see.

I would also like to add besides saying this cure works is: You need to start taking it immediately before you get a 100% blockage in one kidney or the other. It is very hard for this remedy to work if you are completely clogged. It will still work but it takes longer and believe me when I say it is a pain like no other, I'm a combat wounded vet not disabled and also have 4 crushed discs in my back and would welcome that kinda pain intraday of a 90-100% kidney blockage!!!!! Once again THANKYOU GOOD PEOPLE AND "EARTHCLINIC. COM"!!!!!! Just this little advice has currently saved me 100-150k in hospital bills. Not to mention the extreme pain and agony.

Thank you very kindly everyone for this great posting. I went to the Doctor during the New Year and it was reported nothing could be traced on my urine. However, I was experiencing extremely burning sensation during urinating time. The Doctor offered me to go for scanning instead just to make sure everything was alright with me. At the same time, the Doctor prescribed me some antibiotics which according to the Chemist it was just a general antibiotic type. After taking this antibiotic for 5 days, I was still feeling really unwell and I am sure if you had the same experience before you would understand how exactly I felt.

This afternoon, the pain was just unbearable and I was searching all over the Internet until I came across your home remedy. I rushed to the shops and got myself a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 2 fresh lemons. It worked perfectly and the pain seems to disappear into thin air although with the side effect like feeling nausea.

To everyone here, a very BIG thank you from me to all you for posting your kind suggesstions and comments. Thanking you very kindly. Kind regards, Bec.

Tried the lemon juice and olive oil concoction times 2 doses over a six hour period, once in afternoon and once before bed. It worked!

Woke up feeling 100% better and NO PAIN.

I am very grateful to everyone for this remedy. I suffered through the pain for 4 days and it was getting worse by the day and I was getting desperate. I also couldn't afford to go to a doctor.
