I have been using APV and BSM for about 8 days to trat what I believe are large fibroids. I also have pain in my upper right abdominal quadrant that seems to be gas because i get relief from gas relieving meds.

Anyway, my skin feels great but I still feel not so great. Rashs, itching etc. leaves me to think I have yeast issues as well. Long story short I mistrust conventional medicine and pretty much self diagnose when possible. New symptom to report is white froth and what looks kind of like cream in my urine.

i am 49 yrs old and have peri menopause, last period lasted 3 weeks with heavy bleeding for at least a week. My symptoms are keeping me home bound and usually experiencing some varying form of pain and discomfort. I hope and pray i can improve my health somewhat with the natural tratments on this site. I took 2-3 tblsp.each of ACV and BSM , yesterday i added 1/4 tsp.baking soda and started doubling my ACV treatment, once in the morning, once in the evening. Let you know if anything seems to be working.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone on this amazing website for all the information. I also was diagnosed with a fibroid, and a polyp in my uterus. I had really heavy bleeding and gigantic clots that were freaking me out. My doctor removed two cervical polyps, but said I would need surgery to remove the one in my uterus.

I found this site and started taking ACV, 2 T in 8 oz. Water, at least twice per day. I haven't tried the BSM yet, but I'll go get some. So far, the ACV is really helping. I will go in for another ultrasound in a month or two to see if the fibroid is really shrinking. She said I had to have surgery to remove the fibroid but I would rather not do that if it's possible to shrink it using these methods.

Thank you so much to everyone for sharing your stories.

If anyone needs a good iron supplement, by far the best I have found is Rainbow Light Complete Iron System. I have taken iron for years because I've always had heavy periods. This one by Rainbow Light is fantastic. It absorbs really well and does not irritate the stomach at all, at least with me. I have tried a lot of iron supplements and this one is fantastic. Some Whole Foods stores carry it, some do not, but they will special order it for you. I get mine at an independently owned health food store.

Thanks again for all the info about ACV, BSM, and also Natto.

I am a 40 yr old woman recently diagnosed with multiple uterine fibroids and blocked fallopian tubes. I am curious to learn more about the use of BSM/ACV. I've read the reviews posted on this site but remain unclear about how to ingest the BSM/ACV. I am currently adding 2 tablespoons of BSM and 2 tablespoons of ACV in 8 oz warm water twice daily. Is this adequate or should I be ingesting these first and following with water? Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have been diagnosed with the 5 inch fibroids and blocked fallopian tubes too. I am very depressed about. I am scheduled to go back to the Dr. on December 22. The Dr. want to a partial Hysterectomy. I don't want to have it done. I have not been able to have any children. My husband and I. I have started taken the ACV this week. I feel better and I am not in as much pain. One my friends told me to take evening primrose oil from the health food store. I am praying the Fibriods will go away without having the surgery.

Gee, Praying's good but do something actively as well about it. Like take charge of your health. Start juicing, check your diet, get maca (read about it in my past posts or research it online). ACV and Evening Primrose oil are not going to cut the mustard in this situation. Doing something actively to help yourself will alleviate depression too. Don't just accept the dr.'s diagnosis as final and let them cut part of you out because then you absolutely won't have children or have the chance. First, try alternative healing before you go that route. Lisa

Hi Gee, I want to apologize if I sounded like I was being self-righteous or preachy to you. I wanted to just reassure you that there are many alternative routes and not to get down believing that the doctors have all the answers. No, I am no expert, but I have spent a lot of hours and years studying alternatives in many aspects from birthing, schooling, natural remedies, herbal and homeopathic remedies so, I figure if I can help someone else out there with what I have learned, I will do that. Knowledge is a powerful tool.

And yes, there are alternatives to having your own children such as adopting or surrogate mothers, etc., but that was not what I got from your post. Sorry if I misread what you were sad about. In naming some actions you could take, I was not trying to be forceful but just giving you a few suggestions you could pursue.

I also have seen my acupuncturist turn things around for women who were diagnosed by Western drs. that they would not be able to conceive. Of course, these are all just suggestions. In the end we all have our own right to choice. Peace, Lisa

DON'T be depressed!! DON'T have the hysterectomy surgery, AND I wouldn't go back to that ob/gyn either, myself (up to you though...).

Progesterone cream will sometimes shrink fibroids, and I just read an research report somewhere that indicated that concentrated tomato products, such as tomato powder and tomato paste may be helpful for such things.

DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I was just reading some of the other postings, especially the one for Gee. Im not a doctor but I do recommend getting 2nd and 3rd opinions especially before undergoing a hysterectomy or partial hysterectomy. These are all very personal decisions that we have to make and that even our closest loved ones cannot make for us. No-one should feel coerced into doing anything. Im very grateful that the ACV and black molasses (1-2x a day) have been working for me for the pain and symptoms. While everyone's body is different, and while I hope the remedy works in shrinking the fibroid, I also should share that I recently learned of laproscopy which is a less invasive way of removing fibroids. This may be in some cases be an alternative method of surgery instead of a hysterectomy for those of us that hope to have children one day. I spoke with my doctor here in NYC who is supposed to be the top doctor for this and feel much more at ease as he was my second opinion and the first doctor was very insensitive and didnt mention this option. While I wish they were, natural remedies are not always an alternative to surgery but they can certainly help relieve a lot of unnecessary pain and help the healing process if one does opt for surgery. Thank you all for posting on this site and for supporting each other.

I am following my mothers "wise women syndrome" (menopause) history and don't want to any more. Period stopped for 9 months, started for 2 weeks, stopped for 7 months and is still continuing after 5 weeks. Clots, heavy flow, embarassing moments the lot. I am of average height, weight and exercise x5 days a week, for at least 1hr 30mins each time, eat wholesome (no processed foods) mainly fruit, vegies and meat.

I wish to cease the blood flow and move onto my "wise women syndrome" sooner. I am unable to take AVC because of my very low blood pressure (I have tried and got incredible dizzy bordering on fainting.

I am considering taking Black Strap Molasses ... any advice on how much, how often and what else is out there that could help. Cheers in advance.

I was done surgery of pituitary macroadenoma 2years ago im now 42 my Dr. tells me I go for ivf if I want a child but my fibroids have to be removed first- the fibriod is 4.7cm and my menses stoped due to the adenoma, Im now on hormone replacement of levothyroxide and pridinson and if I'm given fertility hormones without removing the fibroids they will grow bigger. Do you think I can try ACV, BSM and baking soda to shrink to fibroid to enable ivf possible? What are the complications with my case? Please give your comments it will help my decision I don't have a child but the Dr. told me I can have one through ivf but the problem is the fibroid.

Our bodies need to be alkaline, sick people are usually acidic, buy some PH strips that determine the acidity of our bodies, tear a piece and place in mouth one second, if it is yellow, not good, if it is dark blue, that's good, apple cider vinegar is highly acidic so someone tell me why it is good for us as I use it a lot. Honey good for us? It is acidic, baking soda is highly alkaline, I put 1/2 teaspoon in my drinking water and a couple drops of h202, that is good for us, walnuts will turn the strip dark blue, thats good, when watching TV, munch on english walnuts, that's good, when you get your little roll of PH strips, everytime you eat something, tear off a strip , insert into mouth and if it is yellow , again not good, dark blue, thats good, I love a baked cake, its acidic, not good, but I love them, I tell my wife not to bake those acidic cakes but she does, wonder if she has ulterior (motives)?

I just turned 41 & have started feeling the grips of hormonal changes along with having a history of huge fibroids. I had 5 lbs of fibroids removed last yr in a robotic surgery that went terrifically & preserved my fertility :) I still want to have children & decided to take a natural, active involvement in my health. I have always worked out religiously since I was 15 so I've been in great shape & been able to tolerate the pain of those fibroids. But at age 41 I was finding that I no longer could run on the junk food that I liked to eat & was lacking energy along with not having a normal cycle. I wanted so much to have a normal cycle without the complications of a birth control pill. ACV gave me that :) But I was also dealing with more heart palpitations that I just couldn't control with my diet & vitamin taking. Yesterday, it was really getting in my way of life so I ran out & got the molasses. And I'm so happy to report that it made those nasty heart palpitations go away, gave me energy to go play tennis that evening ( in fact, I was burning the court with my energetic plays) & is helping my chronic constipation. I've gone to the bathroom 3 times since last evening to this morning and that's simply wonderful!!! I urge everyone to try ACV & molasses ~ they are TERRIFIC!!!!

I just left my doctors office, I was suppose to go back to work but I can't after hearing that I have been unable to get pregnant because I have 6 fibroid tumors inside my uterus. 3 of which are 4-6cm each. My doctor wants to schedule me for surgery in 4 weeks. We are waiting 4 weeks because it wants me to take a drug that will place me in a clinical menopause. This will effectively stop the estrogen production in my body hopefully shrinking the tumors so it will be safer to operate.

I want to have another child and according to the doctor surgery is my best option. I am so glad I found this website. I am on my way to Whole Foods to pick up the ACV and BSM and I am prepared to do whatever it takes. I am scheduled for another ultrasound prior to surgery to see the status the fibroids and I will report my progress.

Stay tuned! Thank you all for your support.

Please be careful of that drug that puts you in clinical menapause. If it is lupron. I took the lupron shots for 6 months before having the fibroids removed. They did not shrink the fibroids but they did make my bones frail. Lupron also affected my memory. I never experienced the forgetfullness I have now. Sometimes I just completely draw a blank and cannot remember my thoughts AT ALL. Thanks to the lupron shots. If I had it all to do over again... I would do nothing. My sister also had fibroids. She did not know it. She got pregnant. Because of the fibroids she could not have a vaginal birth. She had a C section. The doctor removed the fibroids after he took the baby out.

I started using Plantation brand Black Strap molassas, and _____ Apple Cidar Vinegar, a year ago, as I was diagnosed with a 3cm fibroid that sits near my bladder. I had back pain, constant urge to urinate, and periods that were awful, clotty and literally drained me for a day or two. My Doctor of course frowned on the suggestion that I try a "Natural" solution, and thought better to remove this "little egg" as he called it. I did not want surgery, or being forced into early menopause.

So I went to this site, read the testimonials then off to the Health food store and bought the BSM and ACV.

Ok, after a year of faithfully taking 1 tablespoon of each BSM and ACV with a chaser glass of warm water each morn after breakfast (stomach will be upset if you take on empty) Then another dose before bedtime, I have noticed great improvement in the size of my stomach ( was bloated before due to tumor pushing on organs) and the frequent need to urinate went away after a month of using, my periods not as painful, or long, and less clots! You must try this as it does work, only if you use it accordingly, not more than twice a day.

I also switched my diet to Tofu, Kale, fresh veg, and fruit. Processed, fried and sugar filled foods are bad, and help grow that Fibroid! Reading this site got me to a safe waiting period, I will bet I am perimenopausal, and in a couple years this "tumor" will be gone or shrunk when I no longer have a period, as I have read I choose now to keep it in check till then. All I can advise is try the BSM & ACV, these brands Plantation BSM and _____ ACV are THE BEST! and any health food store Can order for you, Good luck in the fight against Fibroids.

Thanks for your sharing what brands to use after reading all the post I found yours most helpful on the type of ACV and BSM to buy. Some on here used the sulpured kind of molases and did not realize the sulphur would promote bleeding.

I hope they give this another try using the right kind. I was having clots as big as my fist while taking a low dose BC pill that used to help control my bleeding I am scheduled for Uterine fibroid Emboliztion at the end of March thank goodness for this site. My bleeding is just spotting now and that is great news.

I'm 36 yars old, I just left my OB GYN, I had myomectomy 5 years ago thinking i would have kids within 3 years after the surgery as my Doctor suggested, even though I was not married yet and had no prospects...well here i am five years later in the same social staus with my uterus the size of a 5 month fetus. I had also taken a low dose bc that caused clots the size of my fist and drained me physically and emotionally. My doc suggested I would probably need another surgery but this would reduce my chances of being able to carry a child. Ive cried for the last 2 hours until i read your blogs...thank you ladies! i'm running to the health food store now and with a little prayer, faith, and acv and bsm I will be healed from these tumors!

Hi There, I am at a loss and just wondered if any of your readers out there has any suggestions for me. On Feb 10/08 my Period started, it usually last for 5 days. On the 6th day, I started bleeding heavily, worse than I have ever bled in the entire history of my period. In addition I started passing gigantic clots. An ultrasound diagnosed a persistet subserol uterine fibroid. I was prescribed Tri-Cyclen Lo (Birth Control Pills) to manage the bleeding. I had side effects from the pills, nauseau, vomitting, headaches. The symptoms are not too bad now but I am still bleeding. Sometimes it gets light as if it's going to stop and then it comes back full force. From time to time, I still pass clots but they are now very small. I read the comments and bought Organic Unsulphured Black Strap Molasses - I started with 1 tblsp in a glass of water each day and increased it to 1 tblsp in a glass of water twice a day when I noticed there was no change with the bleeding. I also bought _____ ACV and have been taking 2 tblsp in a glass of water with 1 tblsp buckwheat unpasteurised honey once per day. Today is March 06/08 and the bleeding increased even more today. I am at the point where I am going to discontinue the BSM and start taking liquid Iron. Are there any suggestions? Did I try the BSM long enough? I have been taking it since Feb 20/08. I am afraid to leave the house because of the excessive bleeding. My gyno wants me to take the Birth Control Pills back to back (menstrual suppression). I don't like them and want to stop taking them - she says they take a while to stop the bleeding. She is also recommending a hysterescopy.

Janet, over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with fibroids and told that eventually I'd have to have a hysterectomy. I refused then and every dr I went to over the years. They got larger and larger till finally I found myself fainting and being taken from work in an ambulance twice. My iron fell so low that I needed 3 blood transfusions in one night before I agreed to consider surgery, but I still refused a hysterectomy. My new Gyn told me about a fertility dr that does not accept insurance and I consulted with him, who said that he could remove the tumor without a hysterectomy. I told my insurance company, who then reimbursed me for that visit and found a Reproductive Endocrinologist that gave me an injection of Lupron to stop the bleeding, then a quick, sometimes outpatient surgery called a Myomaectomy (?). My total out of pocket cost was under $500. That was 3/31/03 and I haven't had a cramp or a period last more than 2 days since! I haven't been doubled over in pain ONCE since then! I feel like I was reborn that day. You should consider it.

This is to Janet from Canada. You mentioned you are taking Ortho Lo, I was on that! You may want to do further research because I have found that Estrogen FEEDS fibroids. It will make you bleed more and that is why nothing seems to be working. And if you drink cow's milk/cheese etc. that is even more Estrogen, depending on where it comes from since you live in Canada. Try to avoid all fried and processed foods as well. I hope you read this before surgery!

My heavy bleeding and clotting is now under control. I am taking Yarrow to dissolve the fibroids, Maca root (is non-estrogen) to balance my hormones naturally and not feed the fibroids. I also take three teaspoon fulls of black strap molasses a day. I tried taking Apple Cider Vinager too but it was flushing out everything else I was using and my negative symptoms came back. Keeping some Shepard's Purse around for acute bleeding works. I add drops of it to a glass of water and it works within 15 mintes to stop the heavy bleeding. I haven't had to use now that things seem to be under control. I cut out the Apple Cider Vinager and now the bleeding is under control. It is a shame It can't use the Apple Cider vinager. It does help keep weight off. Maybe, after I go through the change someday, I can use the ACV.

Cayenne and Cinnamon does work to slow/stop the bleeding from fibroids. It is what I'm using right now. I normally don't comment but I know how scary it is to bleed out with the huge clots. Blood transfusions aren't fun either because of bleeding so much, done them.

This is a follow-up to my 8/26/2007: "Blackstrap Molasses and Apple Cide Vinegar message. I.m still taking ACV 2 tablespoons twice a day and 2 tablespoons Plantation Organic Blackstrap Molasses twice a day (morning and bedtime). I stop putting the baking soda in the ACV, because of various posting on this site, some say it's okay and others say it's not good for your body. I ate of lot of cheese over the Thanksgiving holiday and that was a mistake. In 8/2007 I had stop eating cheese but fell to temptation, I believe it's true that dairy and firboids don't go together. I still have two very heavy days, then will almost stop, cramps are down to one day usually at the end of the cycle. However then I may spot for another week to ten days Recent blood test indicated anemia, doctor recommended taking one prenatal vitamin and eating liver 2 or 3 times a week. I will admit I'm a little skeptical about eating that much liver because it contains a high amount of cholesterol. However I have eaten it probably 5 times in the last two weeks. I've been taking the vitamins for about two weeks and I will say this month has been the best yet. I still don't plan to have surgery and I feel good. Molasses is a big help in resolving the issues of constipation.

Blackstrap Molasses and Apple Cide Vinegar. I was recently diagnosed with uterine fibroid tumors. Ultrasound indicated 3 measurable tumors and a cycst. I was having most of the common symptoms associated with the fibroids. Doctor recommended that I have a supracervial hysterectomy. I prayed for healing and an alternative treatment and was led by God to this website. I have been taking BSM and ACV for 2 weeks. I started taking 1 tablespoon of BSM like cought syrup, chasing it down with a lot of water one week prior to my cycle. Also 2 days prior to my cycle I started taking 2 tablespoons ACV a fourth teaspoon of baking soda and half glass of water twice a day. Blackstrap Molasses and Apple Cide Vinegar diffently ease my fibrod symptoms. Improvements: Only had to take a total of 6 ibuprofens compared to 14, only two heavy days compared to 4, severe cramps twice compared to everyday and reduce menstrual duration. I will continue the taking the BSM and ACV daily with the faith that it will shrink my fibroid. I have a follow-up in six months with my GYN. Thank you so much for this website. Ladies I would recommend trying these remedies before any surgical procedures.

Dear YS, I wanted to ask if you knew what size your fibroids were?
I have one 11 cm as of today or at least a couple of months ago when I had a MRI done. I wanted to see when you went back to do a screening if the fibroids were gone from taking ACV and molasses? did it work for you or not? If so, can you tell me how much of it to take? Are your fibroids gone as of today and are you still taking the ACV and molasses. I am due for sugery mid Oct and scared to do it and wanted to get some real answers as to it is possible to get rid of fibroids naturally I have read over 10 books now and not one single mention about thsi ACV and molasses. All these books says to eat healthier take supplements and think happy thoughts and don't stress and don't eat these types of foods that has estrogen int them which fibroids feeds on ...but then I turn around and someone is saying to eat TOFU or take this and that and it just was opposite of another say so.

I am so tired and so confused for the past year of reading and trying different things where my body is probably freaking out because it has only been a year and can you imagine trying something new every other month...no wonder my fibroid is here...there not enough time to absorb and heal. Does this ACV and Molasses work is your fibroid gone? Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Without warning, I started experiencing pain from the fibroids I was recently diagnosed with. It seemed like right after the diagnosis the pain started even though they had probably been there for a while. I would wake up having to take four ibuprofen tablets, and that was just to start the day. It seemed like I was constantly taking pain relievers. I was praying for a natural cure and came across this website. I immediately started on the black strap molassess along with the apple cider vinegar. The first day, I waited for the pain to hit, and I'm still waiting! I was amazed how quickly relief came just by taking 1 tablespoon of the molasses and 1 tablespoon of the acv a few times a day. I feel stronger, more alert and focused, and I don't have as many food cravings. I don't know why it works but it works for me. I went from being doubled over in pain for hours waiting for the pain reliever to kick in, to enjoying my life and being more active and involved. I just have to thank God because I, too, prayed for a cure and somehow I got to this website for the answer. Thanks to all for posting and I hope what I have written will help someone else.

Fibroids (Heavy Extended bleeding), Obesity, Crohns, Arthritis, Premature grey hair: As you can see, I have quite a few things going on so I am trying the ACV and the BS Molasses just started both of these. The molasses is alot easier than ACV, I noticed numbing in my tongue after sipping the ACv all day, so I will put less than 1/4 cup in 32quarts and try it again and keep adding every couple of weeks until I get up to the 1/4. I have been bleeding heavily for at least 50 days at a time, with medication or D&C only giving temporary fixs. I am only 38years young and of course the answer the doctors are heading towards is a hysterectomy. And hopefully once this onset of the bleeding is controled the two products will also start helping the other stuff. I will keep earth clinic updated on my progress. I have also been blessed with a premature grey streak since the age of 21.

Please get back to me...

Like many others here, I just came back from the doctor's office and my surgery options were explained to me. My fibroid doubled in 2 years and is now 9cm. I am anemic and started having periods like a 14 year old teenager with a lot of clotting....also have lower back pain. I am 43 and the doctor said that considering menopause is still far away, there would be a good chance for the fibroid to keep growing and cause further complications.
He also pointed out by the way, that menopause only shrinks fibroids by about 30-50% !!!

I would like to avoid surgery at all cost of course, and went online to research natural options. So here I am. Just downed my first Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with a bit of juice, and love the taste of Blackstrap Molasses anyways so no problem there taking it straight up.

I have a question however regarding the anemia. I was prescribed an iron supplement and am now wondering if I should still take it considering the BSM is quite high in iron. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS?

Has anyone's fibroids decreased in size or diminished from the ACV? PLEASE, any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

It would be nice to hear some success stories from it.

Hi All! I tell you this condition is no joke.... I thank God for these online forums where we can share experiences. Well, .. 47 w/fibroids...and the rest you know. What has worked for me thus far has been loose leaf nettle w/raspberry leaf tea. Just make it w/equal parts. Try to drink it a week b4 "Auntie Flow", but she still comes a week early, tho her flow is not as heavy and she comes w/o the "dinosaur eggs". I do oatmeal often, and blueberries, walnuts, and I drink green tea, but need decaf. Finding it challenging to be consistent w/this regimen though, like I'd like. But noticed a difference fairly quickly-1. 5weeks or less. Of course when I can get organic, I do. But today I have started the BSM! , thanks to this sight and one I stumbled across re: BSM in the comments a mo. ago. Took 2tbs right from the spoon. Found I could handle that ok. "Auntie" said 'hello' today, and I know stress is part of her early shows. That's not new. Must continue to work on that thru-it-all! This condition can be so traumatizing that you just want to keep it from EVER happening again, so this month I'm doin the BSM, and I will start this weekend w/DIM or a combo cap of DIM and organic Maca, and Natto. It's finding what best works for the individual.. Praying for us all!

I have noticed a smell in my vagina area, because of the tumor? Prayerfully, this will go away with the disappearance act of the tumors. Has anyone else experienced uncanny smells from their vagina or is it just me?

Thanks, Lete

I am a real person and believe me when I say that you can shrink your tumors without any strange and complicated concoctions. I read a lot of posts and even tested on my self in the span of two months: one with said remedies and one without.

This is what worked for me:
* Change of diet
* Exercise
* Apple Cider Vinegar & Blackstrap Molasses
* Natto. Yes. Natto.

I exercised. If you're out of shape, just walk briskly everyday. I walk every morning rain or shine, lift weights sometimes and do yoga. Whatever you like, just move and sweat!

I cut out a lot of fake dairy/ food out of my diet [the cheese on burgers, nacho sauce, powdered cheese] and only ate real food with ingredients I could pronounce without sounding I was some type of scientist.

I juiced whenever I could. Nothing crazy, just carrot and apple for example. Lots of water as well!

I had a mix of 2 TB ACV and 1 TB BSM in a large glass of water once a day.

Now here's the kicker; Natto. Natto is fermented japanese soybeans. If you do a search, you'll find it. It looks gross to the typical American, but Natto is some powerful stuff. It's heavy in vitamin K and a compound that dissolves tumor like material in the body.

Yes. It's no joke. I eat it 3 to 4 times a week with hot rice and BBQ sauce. It makes it taste like baked beans and rice.

If you see any websites that offer Nattokinase, it's powdered Natto in pill form.

I tried everything above a month before since I have long, heavy, and tiring menstrual cycles that last 6 days . My cycle was light and it only lasted for 4 days.

Without it, it typical, painful and heart breaking.

I'm no doctor, but I can tell you from my experience that it worked. I'm not completely cured, but my cycles are no longer heavy, I no longer have mood swings and I've had more energy now then when I was first diagnosed. I've lost weight as well.

Please go to your local Japanese food market and pay a pack of natto. It costs under 2 dollars. Try it for a month, 3 times a week...that is all I ask.

EC: We emailed Sharon, asking what kind of tumors she was referring to...

Hi,

I discovered fibroid couple years ago..it was only 2 cm and didn't cause much issues...but after 2 or 3 years, at my last check up, it was about 5.5 cm ...not to mention the discomfort and pain I had lately...during my period or intercourse. So after doing some internet research, I found the apple cider vinegar suggestion...so I'm currently taking this from 3 months now...pain is almost gone. I also take primrose oil pills and slices of cucumber in my water because its a good anti-inflammatory cure. I also cut meat consumption...try to eat only twice per week lean chicken...bc I also noticed that whenever I try to consume more meat, the pain starts to bug me even if I still take my ACV. Now, I'm living in a country where organic meat is very rare to find or very expaensive....my question is, am I really punished not to eat meat all my life now because of this stupid fibroid?? Can someone advise in this matter??

Hi Michaela, I'm not sure of your age and that is important. Are you possibly heading toward menopause? My own fibroids didn't get out of hand until my late 40's and they shrank and their symptoms ended when I went on an alkalizing diet. Although I started out alkalizing just as you did, by drinking an ACV tea I learned of here, I soon learned it was better to look into the Alkalizing diet and I changed the way I ate. I haven't found that organic meat is necessary for alkalizing, although I would buy it if my husband agreed to it. We do our spending as a team. Nor do I need to use vinegar tea any more. Keeping my body alkaline seems to have been the reason my fibroids shrank and as I eliminated cow dairy, sugar, and gluten, which cause inflamation, my arthritis calmed down and I feel a renewed mental clarity. This diet of mostly vegetables, along with meat and fruit, will be my way of eating for the rest of my life because the change has been so abrupt. I suppose I was wondering if you were trying several Earth Clinic cures at once and perhaps the organic meat isn't necessary as well? For me, organic meat would be optimal, but for now, my aches are all gone. I'm sorry about your other pain. Perhaps you might describe it better. Is it from the same area? I wish the very best of health to you and hope I'm not too far off base with this response. Either way, I am certain you will find your answer here on EC.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I'm 38 years old but very active, doing my workout 5 times per week as I like to stay fit ...the pain I have is a numb one, in the left ovary area, I checked the doctor opinion, he said no cysts but could be this fibroid that gives me confusing signals... My periods used to be painful but no issues with the bleeding. Also the painful sexual acts. So I hope its not paranoia and when I'm eating chicken meat, the pain is back. As long as I eat more veggies and fruits, I'm ok.

Will try different things for the fibroid, along with the ACV.

Have a nice day!

Diagnosed in Jan 2013 with 1 polycystic ovary and 3 fibroids (tennis ball, golf ball and pea sized). I'm 34 yrs old, no kids (and no plans for any), slim build so belly very visible. Doc gave me birth control but not taking it.

My main symptom was very heavy periods with huge clots, flooding, gushing the works that lasted 3 to 5 days, starting day 1 and 2 heavy then getting lighter.

In Mid October started on:

* New diet - cut out caffeine, wheat, dairy, eggs, meat and poultry. Been having lots of cabbage, broccoli, green veg, almond milk, beans and lentils and fruit, nuts, seeds and flaxseed, turmeric, small vitamin D supp.

* In the morning - 1-2 tsp ACV and water on an empty stomach.

Changes I have noticed:

*was started to get constant back pain when lying down - this has eased

* stomach still protruding - but hoping its early days

*cycles are regular, always have been but this month has been odd - day 1 was lighter than normal and on day 2 was able to actually leave the house (not done that in yrs), continued very light bleeding but now on day 6 very light bleeding/brown discharge still and passed a big clot, has anyone else had similar experience?

Beets

Beets. I was bleeding for 35 days I a row before Thanksgiving, when we traditionally have (amount other normal Thanksgiving foods) pickled beets with red onion.

It's easy to prepare if you buy picked beets in a can, then thinly slice (or use a mandolin) red onions. Put sliced red onion and beets, including the juice, into a container (glass or stainless steel is what I use ) and marinate for at least one day, a few more days for extra flavor (note it is good for a long, long time afterwards ). We have a large family so I use 2-3 red onions and a large can of pickled beets (the largest they sell at Smart & Final). Now I'm a busy mom, so I do it the easy way, by buying a can of already pickled beets and adding the red onion (fresh) the way that my mom taught me. However you can make it yourself with fresh beets and red onion, but that way is messy but perhaps healthier if you use fresh beets. My mom made it that way for years but the switched to this recipe. Whichever way you like, but please note the pickled beets in a can worked for me.

Anyways, I ate beets on Thanksgiving, and a few days afterwards I ate the leftovers and all the beets (around four regular helpings I would say). Then after all the beets were gone for some reason I was compelled to drink the beet juice it had been sitting in (which I had never done before).

That weekend my ovary or uterus started throbbing painfully, man that hurt! And then I started bleeding the heaviest I ever had with sorry, TMI, globs coming out as well. Tampon and pad getting soaked and needing to be changed almost hourly. I was worried, as was my husband as we have no insurance. That lasted 3 days and then.....drumroll...I stopped bleeding all together! Total days I bled was 43 days (with maybe a random day or two dry here or there). It's now been almost two weeks with no bleeding.

So researching and reading online somewhere trying to figure out if I had fibroids or cysts, I ran across a recipe for beets and honey drink for fibroid issues. I remembered the beets I ate and the beet juice that I drank and think that is what helped me. So my insides, ovaries or uterus started hurting like before, so I just ate a bunch more of my pickled beets this afternoon, and drank some / a lot of the juice it was sitting in. I'll be making more pickled beets for Christmas (as this is a family favorite). However I will be eating more beets regularly. I will try to remember to post in the future if this helped in the long run.
