Apple Cider Vinegar   47  0

[YEA]  I woke up at dawn not feeling quite right. Ate light, then started running from the bottom and then both ends. I finally (DUH! ) thought of Earth Clinic. Followed the advise of others and drank 1 tbsp of ACV w/mother. Figured if I threw it up, so what, it's worth a try. Like a MIRACLE cure! First the nausea went away immediately, then the lower stomach aches, cramps and running stopped. I've since had a cup of, hot broth and will soon have some toast. Thanks to all of you and this great website.

[YEA]  Well... I do not normally take the time to reply to things I find on the internet, but this is one I felt led to share my thanks for finding. I really appreciated finding this ACV trick for helping with my 5 days of horible diarreah! I was on my 5th day of this terrible bug and had allot of pressure in my belly and within 20 minutes of taking the prescribed dosage, I noticed significant relief. About 3 hours later I woke up and took another dose, which was very hard to get down, but did so and I am Very Pleased to share that I have felt very good today and did not have one episode of stuck on the toilet! Really glad to find a natural remedy! Thanks So Much! - Really!

[YEA]  C. Difficile-Associated Diarrhea Cured With Apple Cider Vinegar.

OK, I was a skeptic... A desperate skeptic but a skeptic just the same. When I came to earth clinic looking for a cure, I probably would have tried anything I read at that point as I have been battling C Diff for over 6 weeks, lost almost 25lbs, lost all my strength and was very close to losing my sanity. I had literally tried every drug cure they. Prescribe, every over the counter and was still racked by round the clock diarhhea along with pain, spasms, dehydration and weakness. I AM NOT EXAGERATING... I took 2 tbs of Apple Cider Vinegar in 6oz of water & in 20 minutes felt relief. When you have chronic diarhea, there is always a "tense" or "sick" feeling in the pit of your stomach; like you are just waiting to get sick again. ACV took that away on my first dose. By my second dose I was able to go 2 hours without visiting the bathroom- it was a real miracle. I actually slept for the first time in weeks by my 3rd dose (2 Tbs, every 2 hours- organic, with the mother- in 6-8oz of electrolyte water. )

ACV is a miracle! I would have never believed it, but I am a believer now. I will never be without a bottle. I know this sounds dramatic but I honestly believe ACV might have saved me a major health battle. I was going downhill. Fast, my Dr. had. Given up and I was supposed to check in the hospital the day I tried ACV. I never had to go to the hospital, I am still in shock that such a simple cure worked but I am a true believer now!

WTH!!!! You guys really need to stop promoting apple cider vinegar as some magic cure!!!!!!! IT DOESN'T HELP DIARRHEA, IT CAUSES IT! If you don't agree you can take it up with my butt!!! Also it's very acidic and can cause stomach problems.

Cool your jets, Wendy. A little ACV never hurt anyone.

People eat things that contain vinegar every day - salad dressings, pickles, condiments, etc.

A couple of tablespoons in water sipped throughout the day has benefited countless people. Just because you're not one of them, doesn't mean it isn't effective (or recommended) for anyone else.

[YEA]  I was having severe diarrhea for 2 days, getting dehydrated... On the morning of day 3 I tried 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and the diarrhea immediately became less intense. Used ACV 2 times more that day and the diarrhea was almost done. Not a quick fix but I think definitely helped.

Only saw this one example of diarrhea caused by antibiotics--wondering if other people had results with ACV treatment for antibiotic-related diarrhea.

Taking antibiotics for absess in or on colon related to diverticulitis. Have been in pain, sometimes knife-like, for 5 days. Just started two strong antibiotics yesterday for the absess/infection, and tonight started diarrhea. Want to stop it before I lose sleep and maybe rupture the absess or something.

The postings I read have given me hope, and I will be going to the ACV and honey in a few moments.

Thanks to all who posted and anyone who can tell me about an antibiotic-related case!

I have been sick off and on for 5 days. Imodium always works right of the bat, but not this time - did absolutely nothing. I finally called my doctor for a prescription for Lomotil. Supposed to be a sure thing. I'm still running to the bathroom. I just made a cup of organic ACV, agave and hot water and some steamed rice. I am very optimistic that this will work! I'll post later.

Had the runs for a few days - especially as I was eating lots of watermelon. Trying the ACV at first didn't seem to work, probably because I kept eating fruits (actually: watermelons, apples, then cooked vegetables and cooked apples, and meat). On the second try, I only ate some cooked brown rice, with butter (from grassfed cows) and salt. And the diarrhea is gone. Oh and I did also take some probiotics, which I also had taken before without success.

ACV: about 2 tablespoons in a little water, followed by a cup of plain water

[YEA]   I have a horrible intolerance for gluten. I had some homemade bread that was supposed to be gluten free, but there was some cross-contamination because right after I ate it I got really sick. I read about the ACV here on earth clinic and can't belive the difference it made for me. It really helped me feel so much better and soothed my stomach and nausia. I will keep a small flask of this stuff in my purse at all times from now on in case I ever get glutened again! A miracle!

[YEA]  We missed an appointment because my son had diarrhea. I read about Apple cider vinegar and its benefits and decided to give it a shot. I gave him 1/3 cup and it stops the diarrhea in half an hour. Amazing. This should be in every home just for the health benefits alone.

[YEA]  I have pneumonia for over a month and a half during which I have taken 30 (yes-thirty) days of antibiotics. (3 different ones. Chronic diarrhea for 30 days was easy to deal with-but when the Dr. stopped the antibiotics to finally research the actually cause-one week later I have found myself in agony with acute diarrhea. 4 days now... No probiotic or levure, spasfone or smecta has helped. I am exhasted and in severe pain. I recently cured my vaginal mycose using a ACV douche. Today I read here about the simple idea to use ACV for my stomach/intestinal bacteria. 2 Tblspn ACV 2 Tblspn honey in a coffee cup filled with warm water (like a warm tea). I drank this and feel sooo much better that I can actually Smile again! I will do this 2 times a day until I get my strengthback. Still exhasted but feeling hopeful again! Thank you all for your input! Amazing! God bless you!

[YEA]   On a recent out-of-state trip, I caught a case of liquid poop. At first I thought it was because I ate a lot of greasy food one night (ive been sick to my stomach before when I ate a funnel cake at the fair; grease bomb!! ), but after a couple days, I figured it was something more serious.

So I started taking that good old pink stuff. However this did absolutely nothing after 2 days. By now, day 4, I was in so much pain from the cramps, and it felt like someone inserted a shop vac up my rectum and kept flipping the inflate/deflate switch. So I decided to check out EC once again for help. I came across the Turmeric cure. So I went to Walg****$ and bought a bottle, and took 6 capsules which is about 1 teaspoon I thought. After that, I thought I was good to go! No gas, no pain, and no liquid poop. However the monster came back just later that night.

So another day went by, another day of sulking. Then I visited the site again and decided to try the dreaded-by-many ACV cure!! Dah dah dahhh. I mistakenly took 2 teaspoons in juice one night, but the recipe was 2 TABLEspoons! So in the morning (when I found out) I again ingested the concoction, this time taking 2 big ones in a glass of juice with honey.

After 6 or so days of diarrhea every 30 minutes, I finally had peace! I was so happy that it was gone. Everything was gone, the cramps, the nausea, the gas surges, and the liquid poop. That afternoon I again chugged 2 more Tablespoons of ACV in juice, just to be safe. Then I was free. That was a week ago, it took me a while to post this but im so glad Earth Clinic saved me again : D Thanks to Jehovah God for ACV

[YEA]  I have been using the advice and testimonials from Earth Clinic for years and have used it many times. But, I haven't had ANYTHING work as well or as quickly as ACV for diarrhea!

I have suffered with a horrible stomach virus for 3 days and the diarrhea was getting worse. I tried Immodium which helped, but when it came back, it was with a vengeance.

In desperation I went to my old friend, Earth Clinic for advice. Once again, most yeas were for ACV! Just as others have said, within 15 minutes, the symptoms stopped! I used 2 Tablespoons ACV with the mother and 2 Tablespoons of organic honey mixed in water. It's a bit hard to swallow, but helps if you have a chaser of tea or other liquid.

Once again, yea Earth Clinic!

[YEA]   First time I found the site and am very glad I did! The ACV worked like a charm. I had tried charcoal, Immodium, diet and fiber. NG. But the ACV finally calmed down my GI tract. Whew!

[YEA]  The stomach flu ran one by one through every person in our family and it lasted for days. Eventually the throwing up stopped but I still had a terrible case of diarrhea and my stomach was gurgling constantly and full of gas. Very painful--even my ribs ached. So on day number five of this, I took my apple cider vinegar (with the mother). I used 2 Tablespoons mixed with some water. At first I wondered if it was helping, then I realized yes! It's getting somewhat better. The diarrhea stopped and so did all the gurgling. I took a second dose of the ACV before bed and then next morning when I woke up, even the gas was gone. I finally have my life back! I'm very thankful to this website and my friend Jill who told me about it. Praise God!

[YEA]   This was my second bout of a viral enteritis this year! After 1 day of 101.7 fever, diarrhea set in... Every 20 to 30 min for 36 hrs, knew I could not handle another several days like this, so kept looking online and found Earth Clinic (now bookmarked). Tried ACV with plan for activated charcoal if it did not work. Had not eaten much, only a little oatmeal and veggie broth, so took 3tbsp in 6oz water for 1st dose at 3:00pm. Waited. Could hear the ACV gurgle thru my system. Still had to go about 20 min later, then again 1 hr later, but was less spastic. 3.5 hrs after first dose ate a banana and took 2 direct tbsps by mouth. Harsh, but less volume to choke down. By now reduced visits to every 2 hrs. Kept taking 2 tbsp every 4 hrs right up to bed. Next day only went 3-4 times. Felt good to venture out of house. Following day near normal frequency and confident to leave house for multiple errands. Wish I knew about this the 1st time round. Thanks you to all for posting!

[YEA]  I have never experienced such a bad diarrhea until today.. I ate a double cheeseburger at McDon.. And I think I had food poisoning. I literally went to the bathroom every 30 min or so. I was searching online for cures for diarrhea and I found this website. After reading all the comments, to make sure no one experienced anything bad, I told my mom to go buy me Apple Cider Vinegar. I diluted 3 teaspoons of ACV into a cup of water and I drank it. After 10-20 min, my stomach hurt less and it's been 2 hours since I haven't had any bowel movements. Also, I think what helped was the fact that I ate rice and I drank peppermint tea with no sugar. But ACV definitely played the biggest part.

[YEA]  I've had explosive diarrhea for the last 4 days. Was going potty every 20-40 minutes all day. Could hardly sleep because I was up every hour to go to the restroom. After google led me to this site, I was excited to try the ACV - and it worked! I took 4 T in 1/2 cup of warm water, added honey to taste. It was a little nasty, but drinkable. I slept through the night last night! Had a couple more bathroom trips this morning until I drank more ACV, and have been diarrhea free for the last 5 hours!!!! It works, thank goodness!

[YEA]   I had diarrhea for 12 hours and Imodium didn't help. I thought I should go to the doctor, but it was 6:00 p. M. I decided to go online to see if I could find help there and was grateful to find this site. I sent a relative to a healthfood store for the ACV capsules. He bought a bottle of 500mg capsules. I took two and was cured! Thank you so much.

[YEA]  Acv cured my upset stomach and diarrhea within 10-15 minutes. I had a couple bouts of borderline explosive diarrhea and felt queasy/weird afterwards. I took about 2 tablespoons of ACV in a cup of cool water and ice. I put a bit of honey in it too to help sweeten (though the water is so cold, it didnt really soak in...). I had a bit of a drinking night last night (whiskey and vodka primarily) and had coffee this morning from freshly roasted beans. Needless to say, that kind of ended badly. Thank god ACV was there to save me.. ! This stuff is great. Be sure to use a straw and make sure you get the straw deep into your mouth so you dont hit your teeth with the vinegar. It's not great for your chompers. The kind of ACV I used was not organic with mother (if you dont know what that means, look it up because it's good to know) and was just taken from the grocery store. I havent tried organic mother ACV yet, but its supposed to have a lot more raw nutrients in it than regular brands. Good luck!

[YEA]  I had food poisoning 14 days ago and although the bad diarrhea subsided, i have had loose bowels a couple of times each day and cramping and gas all day. I wasn't getting any better. I began using pepogest and digestive enzymes and that helped a little. Then i read about acv on earthclinic so i bought some immediately (all i could find was unfiltered/pasteurized). I took a tablespoon in 8oz of water 3 times a day with each meal. After 1 day I am already feeling relief. I have much less cramping and gas and have only gone once today. I hope that this remedy continues to help me improve.

[YEA]  Thank you for your tip on using apple cider vinegar for diarrhea. I had diarrhea for three days straight and found your website while I was searching for a home remedy. I went to a health food store and found ACV in pill form. After the first dose, I felt better but still had some loose stools. After one full day of taking the ACV, no more diarrhea! I feel so much better. I've never had a home remedy work so well before. What a relief!
