Turmeric   280  9

[YEA]  TURMERIC is the best remedy I have found to heal my boils. Found this site 2 weeks ago and it is the best for alternative cures. I am 55 y/o and have suffered from boils/cysts since I was 2 y/o, after a long stay in the hospital. Usually the boils would appear in the most private ares and all manner of ointments, doctors, antibiotics, hot compresses, squeezing, homemade ointments nothing has worked as well as TURMERIC. I had the largest boils I have ever had in my life right in the middle of my upper back they were the size of two extra large eggs and the most painful I had ever experienced and in a spot that was very hard to reach. So they remained coming and going for about two years. This time they came back with a vengeance I could not endure any clothing to touch them. I found this site read the comments on turmeric. I went to the grocery store bought turmeric powder took a heaping spoonful 3x a day AWEEEEEEE!! with a large glass of water and made a paste with warm water, On day two I woke up to the stink of pus that was running down my back the amount of which was mind boggling to me. I continued the turmeric paste and drink two more days by then a scab was on the boils and the pain was reduced. I ordered turmeric capsules. I take 2 caps three times a day. The boils are now small humps the position they are in did not allow for me to remove the cores so I hope they don't cone back. What's up with this core thing because even though I have removed the cores in the past they would still come back many times in the same place or area? I will take Turmeric for the rest of my life. Thanks to Earth Clinic and the people who helped to make it great, Thank you all.

[YEA]  Hey - I just wanted to give feedback about turmeric and boils/staph. My son had what we thought was a spider bite except it grew and had puss in it. The doctor lanced it and said it was staph but that the lancing would take care of it. A week later I got a boil on my leg. They lanced it but didn't biopsy it. I didn't think much of it but two weeks later another one started on my belly. I freaked out because I had just read about MRSA. I came onto this site and decided to try the turmeric remedy. I warmed about 1 oz of soy milk and added 1 tablespoon of turmeric and a little Equal 3 times a day. The boil hadn't broken the skin yet but the entire area was itchy and bright red and you could see where the boil was coming up. Well, I am AMAZED. After 4 days, the boil was completely gone. It never broke the skin. I also kept going with the turmeric to keep inflammation down. It really worked. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this site and for the information. It was truly a lifesaver.

i sure wish i had known about turmeric 8 years ago when my husband devloped an abcess - also diagnosed as a spider bite. he didn't show it to me til it was actually green... and i panicked and took him to the ER. well they decided to operate and some staph got into his blood stream and he never woke up. i wish i had tried clay or knew about turmeric - i would have done both.

also after he died the dr. finally told me that it was staph. they hadn't started calling it MRSA at the time.

i never got any boils myself though.

this can save people's lives. if i had just given him turmeric which i had because i cook indian food..... he might be here today.

EC: So sorry for your loss, Dianna.

[YEA]  OMG! I am 26 and have been suffering from perodic boils since puberty. I've always used the hot compress or sitz bath method up until my last boil I actually had to have lanced and drained. It just refused to go away.

Well, two days ago another boil appeared and this time it hurt as soon as I noticed it. I was determined not to let this one end up like the last so I went online looking for alternate home remedies and ran onto this God send of a website.

After reading all the testimonials I asked my boyfriend to swing by the grocery store on the way home from work and grab some Turmeric in the spice isle. He didn't even ask why.

When he got home I immediately mixed a 6oz glass of water with 1 tsp of turmeric and chugged it down. Yes, it tasted horrible but it was nothing compared to the pain of being lanced because of an infected boil/abcess.

Needless to say, less than 2 hours later the boil that had begun to become increasingly uncomfortable regardless of hot compresses or sitz baths, it ruptured, oozed and is now on the road to healing. I will continue the turmeric remedy until all signs of the boil are gone but I am forever grateful to this community and its information about ailments and home remedies.

[YEA]  After reading about turmeric on your site, we decided to try it to help with my husband's boil?? on the back of his hand. It was the second one ever with the first occurring only a couple of months before - also on his hand. We purchased a large quantity from the local Indian grocery and saw rapid improvement. It's hard to attribute all the healing to the turmeric since a friend wrote him a script for an antibiotic but I really think it helped immensely and so does he. His hand was very swollen with heat and a nasty looking head on the boil (it's completely gone now except for a scar). The swelling went down super quick once he started the turmeric. He is a somewhat fanatical hand washer/sanitizer so it's surprising he would get something like this. He does work in a nursing home environment so we are wondering if that has something to do with it. Hopefully there won't be a next time but if there is we will also be taking a trip to the dermatologist to have it cultured. To never have one in 49 years then turn up with 2 over the space of a couple of months seems very odd. After a while he said he actually enjoyed his warm turmeric drink - ugg.

[YEA]  Wow, where do I begin? I'm in my mid twenties with great health. I generally eat wholesome foods, don't take legal or illegal drugs, and might get a cold once every couple of years but that's it. Here's my Staph Infection Nightmare Story.

I decided to travel abroad for a year as the economy was already spiriling downward at the end of 2007 and I had some money saved up. During this journey, I spent a couple of months in Cuba at which time, most likely due to poor nutrition and hygiene in the country, acquired my first Staph Infection which I initially thought was a spider bite. The reason I believed it to be a spider bite is that my cousin came back to The States from the Dominican Republic with a bunch of spider bites that looked almost exactly the same as my Staph Infection. I began to take some left over Amoxicillin prescribed from the removal of my wisdom teeth that I was traveling with. The amount I had was not enough to completely attack the virus so it came back stronger but this time on my neck. Here's a picture.

The pain was excrutiating and I literally felt like I was going to die. My neck throbbed with every heartbeat and gave me a horrible constant piercing headache. I never get sick and this put me down for almost a week with soarness throughout my body. I hate taking meds but broke down and went back on the Amoxicillin. After a few days it started to go away finally. A few weeks later I got a horrible ear infection in my right ear that eventually shifted to my left ear and then apparently came out of my middle finger as a huge boil. My finger was literally three times as thick as normal. Again Amoxicillin was taken only to have dozens of more small boils continously appear throughout the rest of my trip.

A third large infection in my nose began to appear in Colombia two days before my trip was scheduled to end. When I returned to The States the infection had grown enough that my upper lip was ridicolously inflated and my family was really worried about me. Again, the throbbing pain was excrutiating enough that I felt like I was going to die. My entire body was sore and I had this constant fierce headache. I was seriously considering flying out of the country again for medical treatment as I don't have insurance at the moment. One night I stayed up not being able to fall asleep because of the pain and started surfing the web on my bed with my mobile. I came across the typical 'western medicine' websites and read people's depressing comments about how they have suffered with MRSA for years and have no hope in site. It really got me down. I googled the same string as before but this time adding 'natural cure' to the end and came across Earth Clinic. There are no 24 hour supermarkets in my area so first thing the next morning I went out, bought some Turmeric, and literally poured some in my mouth chasing it with some juice I had also bought. Within four hours my lip started to go back to a normal state enough so that my cousin noticed and asked what I did. I couldn't believe how quickly this worked without having to take Amoxicillin. It actually reacted faster than the Amoxicillin did with previous infections. I hate taking Amoxicillin because after five days on it I feel horrible and of course theirs the toxicity factor of continuously administering it.

Looking back a lot of things make sense now that I researched the disease and apparently a lot of it has to do with an individuals immune system. I first got the infection in Cuba where basic nutritious things like milk and meat can be hard to come by and expensive. After a few days of heavy drinking I noticed it was more likely for the boils to appear or if already midly present they would intensify. The last few days in Cuba I partied pretty hard with friends while the neck infection was in a mild state. By the time I got to Costa Rica it was huge. Also on the last few days of my trip, of course, I had to go out with a bang and partied non stop which probably caused the most recent one. As soon as I got back family and friends that haven't seen me in a year wanted to catch up so the partying didn't end in Colombia. Another observation was that during my journey through Brazil I fell in love, not only with Brazilian women, but also with their smoothies and drank a couple a day. Looking back, I didn't get any boils while in Brazil though I partied hard there as well. In conclusion Turmeric worked amazingly, it might have prevented me from getting boils, and heavy drinking for a few nights in a row would cause boils to either appear or, if already present, intensified the infection. I thank Earth Clinic so much for this great information and God for always having an answer within nature so as not to be exploited by western medicine.

[YEA]  Turmeric + Boil = Gone

Let me first say i really cant believe how fast this worked. I noticed a sore red spot cropping up on my penis (of all places) Of course it started growing into a boil about 3/8 inch across. It hurt like hell. so:
day 1 - did nothing
day2 - started using Smile's Prid Drawing Slave and taking minocycline.
day3 - it is growing and started to form a head, but still hurts like hell
day4 - this thing flippin hurts and seems to just get worse
day5 - same thing - it has come to a head but no drainage
day6 - i stumble across this web site, and the rest is history.

On day 6, I bought some turmeric and took 1tsp with 1/2 glass water at 11:35 and also made a bandage mixed with turmeric and neosporin. At 1:52 i replaced the bandage with a new one because i notice a small amount of drainage and i am thinking wow - this works. At 3:45 i took another dose and changed bandage - again small amount of drainage. At 6:04 i go to change the bandage and the core is poking out. Holy shyyyte i said. I could not believe it.. so i got some antiseptic and tweezers and pulled the core out. 10:00 that same night i replaced the bandage and took another dose.. and in the morning it is totally gone. Even though i was taking antibiotics (just 100mg) a day - i dont think it made this happen. I cant tell you how much i am grateful for this site. Thanks! thanks! thanks!

[YEA]  Is turmeric the new penicillin? I have had a recurring boil for many years now. I dont want to go get it removed because of the scar. I found this website and got some TURMERIC. It has been hurting recently so i could not wait to experiment. Let me tell you, the pain started to go away and it was almost completely gone within two hours. This stuff is amazing. I used the REXALL caplets and also the paste with warm water. Now I was told mine was due to an ingrown hair that keeps growing in the same area. Does anybody know if plucking it would be good or how do you get to the core?

[SIDE EFFECTS]  I'd like to warn others to use this remedy with care! I took less than half of the recommended dose (because that's all I could stomach) and about five hours later came down with the WORST vaginal yeast infection of my life! The boils did seem somewhat smaller and a bit less painful, although it was nothing like the miracle cure some have reported after just one dose. I have since developed another, much more painful boil, and I plan to try taking turmeric capsules WITH some acidophilus, and eat lots of yogurt, to prevent a repeat bacterial purge and the resultant overgrowth of yeast. I'll also be sure to have medication to treat a yeast infection on hand!

EC: Were you taking capsules? People who take the powder haven't reported this issue.

No, I initially started with the powder in water as directed, but was unable to drink a whole teaspoon. This past week I tried again by getting empty gelatin capsules and filling them with regular turmeric spice powder (Frontier brand). See my other message for results of that and what I found that worked.

I get a little annoyed at some nay sayers who like to "warn" people of supposed side effects that have nothing to do with use of certain products. Turmeric does NOT cause yeast infections, because it does NOT throw off the bodies PH balance, so these little warnings are basically false doctrine and it only serves to scare people away from taking a beneficial product.

[SIDE EFFECTS]   Actually, I am very thankful that people post their reactions to a cure, whether positive or negative. I have realized that many respond differently to the same treatment, and it helps to get a balanced view of a certain supplement. Although Turmeric has dramatically helped me with fatigue and brain fog, I have noticed definite hormonal reactions to it such as flushed face, and irritability and insomnia if I take too much. When I took a whole tablespoon, my heart pounded for 2 hours and I was wiped out. My friend took that amount (because the smaller doses did nothing), and still felt absolutely nothing. My brother is being helped a lot by it (energy, clearer thinking, etc.), while my husband noticed nothing, even though we keep going up on the dosage. We are definitely all different, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if a hormonal imbalance caused by turmeric would start off a chain reaction of different physiologic responses in the body that could lead to a yeast infection. Who are we to tell someone else how their body does or does not work? I want to hear both sides. Thank you to everyone who gives an honest report.

[YEA]  Hi! I had a huge boil near my bikini like about the size of a golf ball! I was in excruciating pain and after 2 days without any improvement after hot compresses, I was on the verge of going to the doctor to get it surgically removed (which I really really didn't want to do) until I found your website. Immediately took 1 tsp in water and later got the capsules and popped 4 400mg pills in. Also applied some turmeric mixed with honey directly onto the boil. In 24 hours, the boil had shrunk to 1/2 its size and started draining. In 48 hours, the pain was gone! Its been 4 days, and now all is left is a small bump that only hurts when it comes into contact with cloth, so I put a bandaid on it, and I can finally SIT! Will continue taking turmeric until its fully healed. Will update then. Thank you Earth Clinic!! :)

[YEA]  I am truly a believer in turmeric. I have been struggling with a stubborn boil on my groin/inner thigh area for some months now. It would grow to excruciating size to the point where I walked with a limp and had to avoid any clothes items that may rub against it; then shrink away to inevitably return. It seemed to be affected by my cycle? I tried everything. First thing I went to the doctor to find out what it was because I had never experienced this before. He immediately let me know that it was an abscess/ boil and prescribed me some harsh antibiotics and said it should make it go away and if it doesn't I was to come back in two weeks if it was still there and have it lanced. Well I didn't want to take the harsh antibiotics or have it lanced so I immediately went to the local natural health store to see what alternatives I would try. I was on Colloidal silver oral spray and also took it topically, vitamin A and C Vitamin E and Zinc. Hurray it seemed to be working. I was so ecstatic as the pain from this boil was too much to handle at times. Unfortunately no matter how small it got or even if it seemed to be gone once every month it would return. This past Monday it came back with a vengeance. In all the time I had battled this boil it had never been so painful. This time I tried googling any other natural remedies that would work and I found this site, I was desperate. OMG turmeric is amazing I started taking it yesterday at doses of one teaspoon mixed with warm water 3 times a day at B/L/D and today my boil is draining! The relief is amazing. I also soaked it in the hottest water that was tolerable 3 times a day. And made a mixture of polysporin and turmeric and dressed the boil with this over night and during the day. I hope I never have to deal with this pain again. It drained last night right before bed and so much pus came out; it was almost scary. The only thing I am worried about now is the core? I have read that you have to make sure you get that out? I haven't done that yet and I'm not sure how. If any one has any suggestions please let me know. This is amazing and I highly recommend this CURE for everyone including sceptics.

This is regarding Tanya from Alberta Canada. I too have a boil near my groin area. It once got so big as a walnut and drained. But it keeps filling up, but I don't let it get big enough, so I bust it open to let it drain. I don't want to ever go through that excruciating pain again. But I don't know how to get the core out as well. If anyone knows how to get the core out, please let us know! My email address is Thank you so much!

In response to the ladies wondering how to get out an intractable core -

A bottle (pop bottle, milk jug). Boiling water. Emerse the bottle into the hot water but do no let the water get into the bottle. Quickly take it out of the water and position it over the infection. You need to make sure the rim is firmly sealed against your skin.

This will cause the bottle to cool and the bottle to start sucking the area in the bottle.

This works for stubborn breastmilk duct clogs too.

[YEA]  My husband and I had four boils this month alone, something neither of us had ever experienced. We concluded that we got the boil in the same areas that we shaved...and shame on us we used the same razor! Anyway last week the biggest boil I've ever seen came out on my face by my ear. It was larger than a golf ball. I was about to go to the ER when I came across this site. My husband ran to store to get tumeric capsules because I had tried everything and figured what the heck! Well last night I took my first capsule woke up and the boil is 1/2 the size already. The pain has decreased as well and I can function at work without feeling it today! I am not one that takes herbal pills and usually trusts the doctors. But when I went to the first pharmacy, the pharmacist said he'd never heard of the spice being used for that. I say, they should be made aware. This stuff is truly amazing and I'm sold!! Thank you everyone. I was truly at my wits end!

[YEA]  Just 2 days ago, I had a very nasty boil in my bikini area that literally grew to the size of an egg--it was so painful and large that it scared me. I had boils in this area before, but never this big. This one was not going away anytime soon. I finally I went to the doc and even he was shocked to see its size. He gave me a script for 2 different antibiotics and sent me home on restricted activity and told me to take lots of sitz baths. That just wasn't good enough for me because I knew there was probably something natural out there that I could take to help get rid of it. So I googled "boil" and eventually found this website. In addition to what the doc told me to do, I tried some turmeric powder in warm water(nasty), I drank some ACV tea and put an onion on it overnight to draw it out. I felt the need to attack it from all sides because it was so painful and was making me so sick, I felt like I was dying. In the middle of the night (early Saturday), I got up to take another hot bath and it had already came to a head and was very close to bursting-it was so painful, I helped it along just a little--I know you're not supposed to, but I couldn't wait anymore. The drainage was so foul and disgusting, not like anything I had ever seen (or smelled)before. Long story short, the area remained very very swollen, but I felt some relief and spent all day Saturday recuperating. I took turmeric in the early afternoon and more today. The swelling has gone way down, and virtually no pain. Also, as soon as it popped, I started putting the triple antibiotic ointment with the pain reliever on it and kept a gauze pad on it which I change about 3 times a day. I feel well enough to go to work tomorrow and it's all because of this website. My doc will try to take some of the credit, but without that turmeric to speed things up, I would still be miserable. Thanks a million--I'll be back many many times. The turmeric works.

[YEA]  I never had boils or acne before until after the birth of my first child after age 30! The first pea sized one on my bikini line went away with a hot soak/compresse as advised by my doctor. Then I had another a few months later. In both cases they reabsorbed into my body within a day. Haven't had any for 6 months. This third one grew with the hot soak to the size of a grape in the first day. Very painful. Then I found this website. I applied Camphophenique which helped relieve the pain & throbbing immediately. The next day I purchased Tumeric, took two and the boil shrank within hours. The second day I took two more and it shrank to the size of a small pimple. Day three it completely reabsorbed back into my body. I'm going to take the tumeric for a few more days and also at the start of my menses, as that has been when they appear.
