<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Mari from London, Uk writes: "Hello, I started taking a spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar every morning, when I heard that it aids digestion and alkalines the system.

However, since I started I have been waking up with burning eyes and my tounge and mouth feel very acidic every in the mornings. I also experience worsening pains in my joints (hand) that seem to get worse every day.

Could the Apple cider have made me more acidic? Please advise. Thank you.

<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Nandu from Kerala, India writes: "Initially, I had used ACV with mother and got good results with a chronically blocked nose and warts. However, I find that any internal use nowadays, even the lowest recommended dose, triggers an aggravation of my barely dormant facial dermatitis and urticaria. Odema and melasma also occurs. I was such a fan of ACV that I tested this in several ways with long breaks in between. It definitely ACV that causes the aggravation. Just thought I\'d pass on this feedback.

<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Tana from Orange, Nsw writes: "Greetings, I would like to ask a question - I commenced taking 2 teas. ACV in water with honey, each morning, approx 1 year ago. As time has passed I now get horrible indigestion &amp; acid reflux, burning right up to base of my throat. Particularly at night when I lay down.

The Dr. put me on medication for 30 days, which settled it down. Now, without medication it is starting up again. I had my gallbladder out 18 yrs ago.

I loved taking ACV, however, am now wondering if it actually has caused this problem? Rather reluctant to commence again. Would really appreciate advise.

Kind Regards.

While the PPIs worked a while, but after stopping PPIs GERD came back again. Therefore, I tried to take Betaine HCL to cure my GERD. I am on Betaine HCL around 2 weeks and I take 2-3 pills of it on every meal. It seems it works on my stomach and digestion. However, I have headache, dried lips and insomnia. I guess these come with Betaine HCL. I have read many articles that there is no significant side effects of Betaine HCL. Anybody has the same problem as mine? Any suggestions?

<description> Linda from Lauzerte, France writes: "I\'ve been taking FGHP for a little while now and have not had the results I would have like yet - but I have had an odd side effect.

I\'m retired and normally go to bed about 11. 30, and wake about 8. 30. But now I wake at some ridiculous time, 5 or 6 am and today it was 4 am. I won\'t get out of bed then - particularly when it\'s cold and dark out - and so find I doze a little and am then up at 7. 30 or so. I have always needed my 8-9 hours a night but bizarrely, I am not feeling overly tired whereas before if I lost some sleep, I was washed out and fit for nothing.

Has anyone else had this? I\'ve not noticed too much extra energy and my lungs are not clearing yet but I just find this odd.

I finally figured the ACV was the only thing I was doing different. I wondered if anyone else has had this experience? After using organic virgin coconut oil on my face for acne for 5 days, my skin was so inflamed and broken out that I had to stop. At first, I thought it was a healing crisis, as many people have written about, but my skin was so painful to the touch that I couldn\'t continue. Every subsequent day got worse and worse. I used a very gentle cleanser, and nothing but the coconut oil. This is NOT a cure all and should be used with EXTRA CAUTION... this is the worst my skin has ever looked in my life.

<description>[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] Charlotte from Simpsonville, Sc writes: "It has taken forever to come to learn that taking magnesium, regardless of what form, be it glycinate, gluconate, oxide, taurinate, etc. etc. will cause my mouth to burn and my tongue to swell. When I discontinue it, it takes a few days but it stops. It took me years to make this connection. Ted, could you possibly explain this? I would love to learn more about why this happens. For the record, I test high aldosterone/renin ratio and my bicarb is always significantly higher than chloride, though within normal range on tests. My understanding is aldo increases uptake of salt and calcium, my guess which stems from the aldo. Thought I would share the magnesium information as it pertains to me. I wish I would have read a review that would have got me to stop taking magnesium 5 years ago. Taking minerals without the whole group, ie a multi vitamin increases it potential for me also. Hope this helps someone clue in on the magnesium if they are regular uses for constipation, etc. Because that was why I started using it. I must say that I had debilitating menstral migraines and the magnesium stopped those, so double edge sword for me.

<description> Beryl from London, Uk writes: "Hi, I\'ve suffered with a faulty digestive system for several years, and have had pockets of trapped flatulence which have been so bad that they have caused me to feel very dizzy and upset my balance. However, about five weeks ago I embarked on an alkaline diet, and virtually all my digestive problems disappeared. I do, however, suffer with osteoarthritis in my right knee and pain in my spine, so sent off to Purebulk for the hyaluronic acid powder to try Ted\'s recipe. This was a week ago. Even after the first dose it seemed to upset my stomach slightly. The rumblings were back, but I carried on with it. Yesterday morning, the flatulence and trapped wind were back with a vengeance, and if I hadn\'t been standing close to a worktop I would have fallen over. Is hyaluronic acid acidic? Could this be the reason why the digestive problems have returned?

Love to hear your views. Beryl

<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Ana from Anonymous writes: "I had a non-healing boil and started taking 1/4 tsp of powdered turmeric in a glass of water a couple of times a day for a couple of days. I have taken turmeric in the past without a problem. Today I tried cream of tartar instead (same dosing). After the second dose, eight hours apart, my stomach grumbled and I had bad racing heart, anxiety, and had runny stools. I think it was the cream of tartar and I was surprised because I didn\'t think it had much side effects (but I know things can affect people differently). I heard it is an \"acid salt\" and wonder if it is because I am a little sodium sensitive. The racing heart happens if I take baking soda alone too but is fine if I take it with apple cider vinegar or lemon/lime juice, maybe because the natural potassium balances the salt out? Anyways high anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling.

<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Ana from Anon writes: "I was able to find some info on cream of tartar side effects. I was reading an old Ted post that said autistic and people high in candida already have high levels of tartaric acid and this can cause side effects. He recommended other forms of potassium. He said something about malic acid (apple cider vinegar) can be a kind of antidote to the side effects. Those high in tartaric may be low in malates.

I also read him in an old post of his that some people who are high in nitrates might have trouble taking higher doses of potassium. Ted said to stop eating processed meats, like processed meats (delimeats, hotdogs, etc) and that magnesium chloride or hydrochloric acid supplements may help.

I saw high nitrates in animals they treated them with intravenous injections of methylene blue
