[WARNING!] Pat from Salem, Oregon writes: "After reading your website, I was excited to try out the methylene blue for my yeast and "brain fog". I followed instructions, taking it with powder vit c and baking soda. I took it only one time because in researching a bit more, I saw where taking Methylene blue with anti depressants can cause serious problems with the serotonin in the brain.

"Although the exact mechanism of this drug interaction is unknown, methylene blue inhibits the action of monoamine oxidase A—an enzyme responsible for breaking down serotonin in the brain. It is believed that when methylene blue is given to patients taking serotonergic psychiatric medications, high levels of serotonin can build up in the brain, causing toxicity. This is referred to as Serotonin Syndrome. " (food and drug administration webpage)

I have been on effexor for 10 years, and although I plan to go off this slowly in the summer, it looks like I will not be able to use the methylene blue as planned.

Was this on your website and I missed it? If not, you might want to add this information. I'm glad I caught it, but very disappointed I cannot benefit from taking the methylene blue. Any other suggestions?

Thank you, Pat

[YEA] Bp from Edmonton, Ab, Canada writes: "I've only been taking methylene blue for about two weeks, so I can't yet speak to long-term benefits or side-effects. But its positive results for me in this little time have been remarkable.

I've been suffering with depression and numerous physical problems for several years, to the point of being nearly bedridden at times, and being unable to function productively more days than not. I've tried dozens and dozens of natural remedies, with only limited effect.

When I began taking the methylene blue, I had a couple of days of discomfort in the area of one kidney. But within a couple of days, this had subsided, and I currently have the strongest physical and mental health I've had in years! My mood is joyful, and I have much improved focus when reading. The pains in my spleen area have virtually disappeared, I can breath comfortably at rest (my breathing was laboured before), and I have gone from needing 9 or 10 hours of sleep a night to needing only 6 or 7 to get by comfortably.

MB isn't a cure-all -- I still have back problems, and skin issues, and some other symptoms from congenital/genetic issues. But, based on my own experience, I recommend trying it if you have had problems with candida or parasites, anything spleen-related, depression without obvious cause, persistent breathing problems, or thyroid/glandular disfunction.

I dilute one drop of the pet-store MB into four litres of water (two full 2-litre pop-bottles), and take between a half-cup and a full cup, with extra water added to further dilute the dose, once or twice daily. Since MB is used to disinfect standing water, it shouldn't need to be refrigerated, either.

However, I think it should be used with extreme caution, especially if one has any history of heart problems. My own heart has always tested out as fine, however the first day after taking MB I felt this strange, strong blip in my heart. Then about 5 minutes later I felt it again. Now I had been eating the same foods exactly for weeks due to diet and health issues. Only the MB was a new addition. I did still want to take it and dilluted my dose by half. Since then I have had no problems, only benefits. Be so very careful.

Tommy from North York, On, Canada writes: "To Bill from Philippines,

Hi Bill, Thank you very much for your posts. I have a question regarding the use of methylene blue against Entamoeba Hartmanni. This protozoa is believed to be non-pathogenic, however, me and my wife are experiencing the same mental and GI problems and some articles talks about virulent strains of this parasite. I feel like a bubble moving in my chest. And sometimes in the back of my neck. I took the Hulda Clark protocol for a week and I felt great but after that I felt that the protozoa has developed a resistance because I continue taking the tincture (Black walnut, Wormwood, cloves) without any improvement and I felt the symptoms coming back. What I want to do next is to use Methylene Blue against this protozoa but I don't know the right protocol. I wonder if you have time to help me with that?

I'm also taking L-Argiline because I read that L-argiline stimulates the productions of Murine macrophage in mice's which make them able to fight the protozoa. God bless you."

He has been thru chemo several times and it's to the point now that he just can't stand the strong treatments and they aren't effective now anyway. We have always believed that God put natural methods here to cure cancer etc. And one of his friends told us about Mary Martin Sloop who back in the early to mid 1900's took methylene blue for cancer after the Dr. had cut her open and then sewed her back up because they said they couldn't do anything for her. Mary Martin Sloop went on to live 40 more years after taking the methylene blue. We have no idea how to get it, use it and would it even work for my dad now since he is in pretty bad shape. He is unable to eat basically as he has trouble keeping food down and is really weak. The Dr. gave him no more than a few weeks to live. Can you please let us know quickly if there is anything that would get him well. We don't want to prolong his suffering but we would love to get him back to his active lifestyle of bowling, biking and living for the Lord. Thanks and God bless, Kevin"

SWINE FLU

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "... I have encountered a person who was dying from swine flu, pretty much the doctors have given up. Tamiflu simply didn't work both as prevention and in advanced cases of the swine flu, or the 2009 Viruses. The only thing that has helped this man in ICU was actually the hourly dose for 24 hour of 1000 mg of lysine. For weeks he was on high fever, and the only thing that can tame his fever was actually the lysine. When he did get better and body temperature became normal, the lysine dose was switched to 2000 mg every two hours, since every hour prevented him having long sleep. Lysine was fed via tube. Ideally the lysine dose can be spaced much further if there is no increase in any fever. Since this man was a confirmed H1N1, where it took a week to found out he did have H1N1, the swine flu ate away about half of his lungs, from excessive mucus, and the man was not able to breathe on his own, and has to be on an artificial respirator. As a result, the excessive mucus was controlled with 4 tablets of chinese herbal supplements ganmaoling tablets, taken every 4 hours so it may again disturb his sleep schedule. Within the first hour, there were clear indications of reduced mucus, and it was this that ate away his lungs. His inability to breathe was placed on artificial respirator, as a result two more supplements needed to restore his normal breathing using methylene blue 0.1% taken at 2 drops one in the morning and two drops one in the evening. Since methylene blue did restore or return his breathing and was taken off the artificial respirator within the week, the methylene blue caused him to sleep less as he now has more energy. Therefore the dose was reduced to one drop in the morning and one drop at 12.00 p.m. Tamiflu was not helpful both as prevention and when people did have it since some were on tamiflu."

...

10. The Swine flu scare is not real.

It is real and the numbers are much larger then what authorities say. However the real scare is to spread it and for people to get vaccinated and then it gets deadly. It eats up the lungs over long term flu. I am as yet trying to fine a cure to restore lungs after they have been eaten away by the flu. What I am currently looking is the lysine, methylene blue and the Ganmaoling chinese herbal preparations.

Jane from Fort Worth, Tx writes: "Dear A from Toronto, I learned from Ted that the sodium ascorbate is in a form more appropriate for the body since ascorbic acid would be a lower ph and our body is more optimal at a ph of about 7. Actually you could probably get a better answer from Ted because I am just learning about these things.

I have seen a published drug study regarding using the vitamin c with methylene blue. I believe it was in regard to treating malaria. At any rate it appears that vitamin c is needed. At least there should be vitamin c circulating in the body when taking methylene blue. I don't think its necessary to take vitamin c every time one takes methylene blue.

As to the stroke issue, I just don't know much about that. What I have read is that it is the chlorides that are so harmful. You know, table salt. So a good sea salt is something that you may want to get and avoid the table salt that is refined and not natural. Sodium chloride is in the processed foods as well. Apparently sea salt, like Celtic sea salt, is very good for us and even fights infections. It also increases thirst and so then we drink more water which is good for us.

Another comment about stroke. I have learned that excess calcium circulating is one sure cause of stroke. The misinformation about taking calcium is not been helpful to us at all. Also I gave my father mega doses of a magnesium citrate product that we since learned was not even magnesium at all or at least had a large component of calcium in it. We have now learned to make magnesium oil with the magnesium flakes sold to salt water fish hobbyists. I rub it on my Dad's skin and it goes through the skin into the body and relaxes his muscles and also helps to put the calcium in its place and out of the blood stream which greatly reduces his chance of having another stroke.

The alkaline drink is something we take about once per day, sometimes twice and now sometimes not at all. Everyone's needs are different and sometimes I am not that compliant. I guess its because my Dad is getting better and so now I'm not that scared. The alkaline drink we take is in a small cup with a small amount of water. We follow this drink with a glass of water. It is 1/8 tsp of sodium carbonate dissolved, then add 1/8 tsp baking soda dissolved, then add 1/8 to ¼ tsp potassium citrate dissolved. So that's it. I still recommend inquiring of Ted because I learned this from him. The basic thing is to check urine ph and I believe it is supposed to be a 7. You may find other posts to verify all of this. It will not be in the methylene blue thread though.

Another way to alkalinize is to drink lemon water. Just don't use chlorinated water.

I hope this helps.

Jane

Deirdre, you might want to get Ted's opinion and post it. I just read Ted's methylene blue for Parkinson's disease. What really caught my attention was that methylene blue is sold in aquarium shops to kill fungus in the fish. DING!!!!

The question pops up: Is Parkinson's disease a fungal infection of the brain?

Something else that pop's up is the Italian method of treating cancer patients with baking soda to kill the fungi and the cancer goes away on its own!!!

It would seem that if methylene blue kills fungi in fish, it should also kill fungal infections in most, if not all living creatures, so maybe this should be posted on cancer pages. As I recall the interview with the Italian doctor shown on Dr. Mercola's site, the Italians believe that all cancers are preceded by a fungus. If this is true and methylene blue kills fungal infections, doesn't it follow that maybe all cancer treatment should begin with a substance that wipes out fungi?

Of course common sense tells you to also change the eating habits that caused you to have the fungus problem
