03/02/2009: Michael from Pampatar, Venezuela writes: "Please put an RSS feed on your site!
Ideally allow us to be able to grab feed from different sections of your site.
Example: An RSS feed availability on Ted's postings would be enormously helpful.
Anyone who does your technical stuff will know that this is every easy and will not disrupt the structure of your site.
I am asking because your site is crucially important to me and this way it would be easy to stay on top of new postings.
If you need questions answered about this contact me and I will do what I can and if I don't know something I will try and get responsible answer for you."
EC: Thank you for the RSS request. Our programmer started to work on this several weeks ago. It should be up and running soon!

03/02/2009: Suzi from Missoula, MT writes: "Good Morning EC, from Big Sky Country,
This is the most inspiring and genuine site I have ever found, and thank the stars for you all!
I have a suggestion and question: on the "LATEST POSTS" tab, would it be possible to separate them into categories?...."PETS" and "PEOPLE" ? I see you do have a tab for "PETS" so that could include the latest posts?
So very many of us do NOT have pets and it would streamline our searches on the very latest tremendously without having to scroll through animals.
Have a beautiful day and thanks for EVERYTHING you do
Suzi"
EC: Hi, Suzi. Thank you so much for your feedback. We'll need to think about this and also discuss it with the programmer.
Do our other EC readers agree? Thoughts, please!
03/02/2009: Rena from Mineral Bluff, Georgia replies: "I agree with Suzi from Missoula, MT. Peace, Rena."
03/02/2009: Ian from Franklin, TN replies: "I have pets (horses and dogs). I am in agreement with Suzi and Rena about dividing the Latest Posts into Pets and People. The vast wealth of information that Earth Clinic provides can be overwhelming to some users. This proposed change would be very user friendly. It seems more logical and streamlined to divide the categories, especially for new users to the site."
EC: Thanks, everyone! We've sent an email to the programmer to figure out the best way to do this.
03/03/2009: Earth Clinic replies: "Until we talk to the programmer about creating a Latest Posts for Pets page, we are grouping incoming pet posts together each time we update the Latest Posts page. Hopefully this will work for everyone in the interim!"

02/28/2009: Jamie from Central Coast, CA writes: "Hi,
It would be great if you had a presence on facebook. I just found you tonight and want to tell the world!! I oil pulled for the first time tonight. I've learned a ton about ACV and H2O2. All great stuff. I would love to show you off to my friends!
Thank you in advance!"
EC: Thank you for the request! Since you were the 3rd request for a Facebook presence, we went ahead and created a (very simple) page today: Here it is if you'd like to become a fan!

02/16/2009: Andrea from Ontario, Canada writes: "Earth Clinic Setup: Please do not change into a forum! I love how you have this site set up. I tell everyone how easy it is to just be able to go to the "Latest Posts" page and browse through for new info each day. You have everything in Alphabetical Order for selecting specific areas of interest on the Ailments page and I love that too! Your site is simple, bright, and easy on the eyes, no fluff and no threads to navigate through to find something.
I have seen many forums turn into arguments and nastiness and what I love about your site is that it just is, what it is, information. It's easy to navigate and so nice to see just emails being posted daily! There are times I may have had a question about something, and when the time is right, the answer just appears on your site or I research it on the internet.
I love this site because it is soooo unique and such a quiet pleasurable place to come each day. Kind people have also responded on here to questions as well. It's a peaceful place to be which I look forward to coming to each day!
Thank you for this, for being different, for helping so many and to all the wonderful people who post."
EC: Thank you for your support, Andrea! No worries, we plan to keep EC the way it is. For the most part we screen out the nasty emails -- luckily they are few and far between.
The only change you will see on the site in the next week or so is the medical disclaimer that's currently at the bottom of each page must, at the advice of our lawyer, be moved to the top of each page!

02/15/2009: Bren from DC writes: "Your web site is very informative. However responses are all over the place, so if I'm looking for a response to a specific concern about ACV and baking soda for WEIGHT LOSS, I see acid reflux, weight gain, weight loss, etc., etc. comments and can spend unnecessary time looking for a related response for Weight Loss. I'd like to make a recommendation that you CATEGORIZE you page (which may require much work) into a forum type discussion that participants can respond to "specific" suggestions, problems, issues, etc. This link that I'm referring you to is only so that you can see how it's set up, http://www.goodnewscafe.net. If you can set up your set in the appropriate categories, I'm sure it will help.
Suggested Categories
Apple Cider Vinegar/Baking Soda Recipes
ACV/BS and Weight Loss
ACV/BS and Weight Gain
ACV/BS and Acid Reflux
ACV/BS and Energy"
EC: Thank you for the suggestion. We fixed the apple cider vinegar and baking soda pages: http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acv_baking_soda_cures.html
The Weight Loss section (only 2 feedbacks) is here, but also check the multiple cures tab here.
Weight Gain is considered a side effect and is posted here.To be consistent, all of our other remedy pages should be done the same way, but this was very time consuming, so we'll get to them when we can!!

02/15/2009: Rich from Boca Raton, FL writes: "Since we have a digestion topic, perhaps a vitamins topic would be nice. To discuss which vitamins people take and why. To discuss common vitamin deficiencies. Maybe to discuss what a good multi-vitamin is and what would be more beneficial for a vegan to a skinny person to a young vs. old vs. healthy vs. sick. What are common deficiencies in different countries. Vitamin science is very inexact, and a controversial topic, but perhaps the members here, along with Ted can flesh this out a bit, or at least have an interesting discussion to advance the cause."
EC: Hi, Rich. EC does have a supplements section with quite a bit of feedback. Scroll down the page here and you will see it. We also have a supplements Q&A: http://www.earthclinic.com/Supplements/supplements_questions.html
We also started another page which you can also check out. We need to combine the information from these 2 pages into 1.

02/07/2009: Rubana from Dhaka, Bangladesh writes: "HEllo TED,
I frequently visit this website to find remedies of different health issues. But I have noticed that it is very difficult to find the remedy itself;all i get is the reader's feedback. The ted's remedy they mention is no where to be found! Please organise the remedies in a separate page or in the top of the reader's feedback page. I need the hair loss remedy (i found someone mentioning iodine, manganese, zinc etc) but couldn't find the complete regime that you must have published.
Please do something about it and if possible send me the link where I can find the mentioned remedy
Thank you.
Rubana"
EC: Please check the table of contents on each page. Ted's remedies are either located in the QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS, or on a link just below called TED'S REMEDIES.

01/21/2009: Gregg from Evanston, IL writes: "volume conversion tool:
I have noticed many people asking how to convert volumes from milliliter to ounce, etc. The easiest way is thru google. Just open google.com, in the search box enter, for example: "ml to oz" or "300 ml to oz" for a direct conversion. Can use any measure e.g., liters, cups, tsp. Also converts units of length, mass, time. Great tool, super easy. Note that it will also perform straight math, e.g. "2.5*4+6"=16
Thanks for the great site!"
EC: Thank you so much for the insight. We'll add this to our guidelines page.

01/21/2009: Rae from Norwich, UK writes: "Great site! Thanks for being there. :)
Minor quibble on the measures. Sometimes tablespoons are used but this is a different measure for Europeans (= 4 teaspoons) and Americans (= 2 teaspoons, I think). Can you clarify which measures you, your readers and Ted are using? If they are American, a European could end up taking twice as much as recommended!
With thanks"
EC: Thanks, Rae. Great suggestion! We''ve added this to our "To Do" list for each ailments page. In the meantime, your feedback has been posted on our guidelines page.

01/18/2009: Maureen from Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada writes: "I noticed when questions are asked of older posts, they often do not get answered by the original person that posted. I imagine that is because the person does not know somebody asked them a question because they have not read the latest post that particular day. I am wondering if the reason Earth Clinic asks for your e-mail address (optional) when submitting a post is because they e-mail the original person for an answer or if it is just in case Earth Clinic has a question themselves? I think it would be a good idea to forward questions to the original "poster" if their e-mail address is provided. I usually do not provide mine as I do not know the reason for it. Maureen"
EC: Hi, Maureen. No, we don't forward posts to readers except in rare cases. The option is there for readers to write the poster directly. If we have a question about a remedy, we will post it on the site. Also, remember that we did add the option to post email addresses until February of 2007, so none of the older posts/questions will have them, unfortunately. 01/18/2009: Maureen from Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada writes: "Hi, I would like to see a note added to Latest Posts when it is updated. I find I spend too much time looking for the last post I read. I do keep a note but am not always on the same computer or at the same location. Due to the post dates being the same for two different days that Latest Post is updated. If a one liner was added that said something like "Latest Posts updated Jan 18, 2009" It would be a quick & easy time saving search for catching up from the last day you read the latest posts. Maureen"
EC: Great idea, thanks. We're trying it out now, but may still need the programmer's help!
02/21/2009: Maureen from Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada replies: "Hi, I am happy to see that the date and time have been added to the "Latest Posts". Can you keep it there when you update with new daily posts so we have a "marker" as to the last time we checked the posts? The time will show us when you update more than once in a given day. Thanks for all you do. This is a great website!"
EC: Hi, Maureen. Yes, it's been there since you asked for it! It is updated by hand several times a day. Unfortunately it cannot be automated for each new feedback that gets posted to LP page, but it's close enough.

I think there should be a direct link to Bill Munro on YouTube so here it is.

[QUESTION] 01/10/2009: Lewis from Circleville, Ohio writes: "Where did you move Ted's Latest Answer's ? love this site...thank-you"
EC: It's still here: http://www.earthclinic.com/ted_latest_posts.html
We will put the link back on the site. The "Latest Questions" page was not getting any traction (a lot of unanswered questions on that page), so we renamed it "Questions for Ted". Most questions not addressed to Ted, however, are now being posted on the Latest Posts page. It appears that each one is getting answered by at least one reader, if not more!

EC: Thank you so much, Lil! Fixed all.
The Most Popular Remedies menus are tricky -- hand done, not progammed like the posts beneath them. The content shifts pages every so often (when we add new posts to a section) so the Most Popular Remedies links have to be updated too.
