[YEA] 09/22/2009: Sean from Boston, Massachusetts: "Banana peel for plantar warts
I had a nasty case of plantar warts on my right foot (three of them) and I tried acids, vinegar and duct tape for months before deciding to try banana peels. All I did was cut up a bit of banana peel, put the inside of the banana peel on the wart, tape it on with duct tape, and live my life without thinking about the warts at all. I was rock climbing, surfing, running -- just doing whatever I wanted. I was changing the banana peel bits twice a day, and leaving them on at night. Two days of constant treatment later, the warts turned pitch black and literally just fell off my foot. I continued the banana peel for another 4 or 5 days to ensure all of the HPV virus in my skin would be dealt with soundly, and I'm happy to say that I am now 100% wart free for the first time in about a year!
Definitely go nuts with the banana peel cure AS SOON as you have a plantar wart. It's incredibly effective. The only down side (and this is true for the effective treatment of ALL plantar warts) is that afterwards you have craters where the wart used to be, and you have to regrow all the skin you would have had if not for the infection. So get plenty of neosporin and bandaids to keep your baby skin around the craters clean and protected while they heal.
A top notch cure! So simple, so easy, so much better than acid, burning, freezing or any of that nonsense :)"
[YEA] 09/13/2009: Ll from Melboune, Australia: "I taped banana peel to my 6yo son's wart on his foot after being told it was an Indigenous cure for warts in Australia and it worked within a week. No more warts appeared."
[YEA] 08/15/2009: Susan from North Vancouver, Bc Canada: "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Honestly I had plantar warts for six months or longer. I believe I got the first one from a pedicure. Eventually I had 3. Occasionally I would try the salicylic acid pads - but after a couple boxes -they irritated my feet - killed the healthy surrounding skin - and never seemed to affect the warts. My doctor did not offer much help - she told me freezing it out would be about as effective as the pads.
I was up at a condo in Whistler searching to get information on the internet and came upon your site. I had bananas and the wart pads from the expensive kit. I treated my warts for about 3 days - and GONE!
Did I say thank you? ;-)
Now I am going to this site for any ailments. Toe fungus (vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide soak followed by Tea tree and
Oddly when I went to find the original cure (banana peel) to add a comment the ACV cure came up but I really had to search for the banana peel. weird - and glad it was easier the day that I was looking for an answer - shouldn't the top answers show first?"
RepliesEC: Yes, thank you for pointing it out. Because all the banana peel feedback exists on its own section, we need to add a special link to the top of the warts page.

[YEA] 08/14/2009: All Gone from Lismore, New South Wales Australia: "Plantar Warts Banana peel treatment:
Back when I was 5 (before my parents even knew about the internet), I had some rotten little warts over my hands. A girl at school pointed them out to me, so I told my parents and they had heard the Banana treatment rumor. I told them "Ew I don't want to do that," so they gave me that option, or to go to the Doctors and endure hours of painful freezing and cutting. Naturally, being 5, I disliked pain and decided to go with the Banana.
I put band-aids over a small slice of banana peel over the warts each day and after a couple of days, all the warts were gone. They turned white and reduced in size.
Proper conduct for best results are:
1. Replace with a new bandaid when needed
2. Do not use the same peel for more than one session.
3. Let it air for maybe an hour or 2 a day
Almost 15 years later, they're still gone, and all thanks to bananas."
10/04/2011: Tony from Pittsburgh, Pa replies: "I have been trying to get rid of two warts for years. I think one is finally gone. The other seems as big as ever. Even though I used curad acid tape and tried freezing removing pieces of it every few days. Tonight I taped a piece of banna peal to the remaining one.I hope this works."
[YEA] 08/13/2009: Viaone from Rosemead, Ca: "You must read this if you are thinking about trying the banana method. I give you my word that this will help your warts no matter how hopeless you feel about your wart. Never give up. Sometimes the simplest answers are the best ones for you.
I had a terrible plantar wart that was so big that it looked like a spider laid an egg in my foot. It was so painful to walk on I felt that I would rather crawl on the floor to get a cup of water rather then facing the pain of walking. It had been growing in my foot for about 3 months and I tried acid pads which only made it worse because the acid would irritate the healthy skin around the wart. It got worse because it started to grow taller and larger.
The only option the doctor told me was to surgically remove it. I booked the appointment only to find out that my appoint for surgery was a month and half away. I had nothing to do but wait for this idea of the doctor cutting me up. I was terrified of having a huge painful hole cut out of my foot so I looked for other options. Since I had nothing but time on my hands to kill I wanted to go on the web to see if there was something else I could consider doing. I found this website and read testimonial after testimonial and felt that I had nothing to lose.
I cut my first banana peel (non frozen)into a circle shape in the exact size of the wart and put a band aid over it with masking tape all around it so it would move at all. I had it on for 24 hours walking around with it and then sleeping with it on.
The next day I saw that the wart had turn white and change in quality like a sponge like surface. It use to be as hard as a rock but it was still painful after day one. I changed banana peels every day...sometimes twice a day so it was always a fresh peel.
One week later using the same procedure for the entire week the wart began to change color and reduce in size height wise. It also became less painful in about half of the area of the wart.
I did let it air out for a few hours to let the wart dry and begin the decomposing process. I don't think it should stay wet or moist all day.
After 2 weeks of this treatment the wart literally began to crumble off. I could see all the dead blood vessels inside the dead skin. I used my finger nail to peel off the dead skin and it all came apart without any pain. I have a small crater in my foot with no pain at all! I seriously had my doubts and felt silly along the way but it only took 2 weeks.
I thank God everyday that I found this website. I never appreciated walking this much before. I no longer feel that I have to have surgery and if you are even thinking about trying this method you should definitely definitely go for it.
All you need is a banana peel, band aid, masking tape, and patience
Good luck and God speed"
01/15/2011: Carrie from Roseville, Mn replies: "Your testimonial is certainly encouraging. I would just like to add a caution about about using a fingernail to pick away at the dying wart, just in case not all of the area picked is completely dead, and you end up with warts under the fingernail."
05/26/2012: Crater-scared from Toronto, Ontario, Canada replies: "Hi, I'm gonna try the banana peel remedy maybe starting tomorrow, but just wondering, how noticable/ big is the crater left on your foot for plantar warts? I don't want a hole left in my foot.. And how long does it take for the skin to regrow and look normal again?"
03/21/2013: Tom from Toronto, Ontario, Canada replies: "The crater left is not from the treatment but from the wart. No matter which method you use for removal of the wart a crater will remain."
[YEA] 07/20/2009: Mariella from Westfield, NJ: "Took a few weeks, but it worked! I've been dealing with a pretty big plantar wart on the heel for about 3 years and got two more on the same foot in the past 2 years. I tried freezing them several times with over the counter remedies, but I had the feeling that it only got worse. Then I came across this website and just had a go with the bananas. I used organic bananas and put a piece of the skin (the inside facing down) on each wart, and covered them with tape. I kept the tapes on 24/7 and renewed every time they got shifted. After about 2 1/2 months I was about to give up but then all of a sudden all three of the warts disappeared. It's amazing what mother nature can do! All it took was persistence and a lot of patience. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but three weeks ago I started taking an organic Acai juice blend from a health food store every morning."
[YEA] 07/04/2009: Judy from Cullowhee, NC: "A round, smooth wart on my temple was getting larger and puffier. After a couple of days of trial and error, my best result was then achieved by using a small piece of blackened banana peel big enough to completely cover the wart under a watertight bandaid (having adhesive on all 4 sides). I changed the banana and bandaid morning and night.
Day one: the wart was completely flat, a little whitish, and it was clear that the wart was comprised of 3 equal sections. Day 2: edges of the wart were black, granular and broke off when touched. It appeared the wart could perhaps be lifted away, but it could not. Day 3: the wart was GONE. Vanished. Not a trace remaining. The skin underneath was not red or raised. Today, a good year later, it has not returned.
If there's a next time, I'll use the following amendments, as others have suggested: first, lightly roughen the wart with a pumice stone or fingernail file to make it more susceptible to treatment. Then, apply scrapings from the peel's interior, so as to reduce the bulk of the peel.
This was unbelievably simple. Thanks to all those who shared their experiences."
[YEA] 07/03/2009: Alvin from Sto Tomas, Batangas Philippines: "I started to noticed wart under my foot on May 2008. I went on wart removal(by burning it) a month after. But the wart came back right after the wound had healed. Tried to search the net for alternative solution and I found this site. It gave me hope and I promised myself to add my testimony in case my wart disappear. My wart is gone for 6 months now and my conscience is haunting me because of the promise I made... Now here it is.
Material:
ripe banana peel
duct tape (choose thick one w/c can be found in hardware store not 3M brand)
scissor
Direction:
Clean the wart or after you take a bath and dry the affected area.
Cut a piece of banana peel with the same size of your wart.
Put the banana peel on top (or bottom in case its under your foot) of your wart with the inner part of the peel facing the wart.
Cover it with duct tape. As much as possible, cover the wart as if no air can penetrate.
In my case, the duct tape normally stays for 3 to 5 days. I have to clean the affected area again and put new peel and duct tape. Do this for 2-3 weeks until your wart become fluffy and white. The affected area will expand because the moist of banana peel has been absorbed by your skin. After 2-3 weeks, remove the duct tape and banana peel, soak your foot to hot water for 2 hours. The hotter the better. Well, in my case, I went to a natural hot spring near the mountain here in the Philippines. It was an overnight swimming with rum and friends. The next day, I had a hangover but noticed that my wart turned dark (underneath the skin) and felt hardened. We call it "langib" a dried blood on top of your wound when it starts to heal. Then after few weeks its gone.
CHOOSE A WELL VENTILATED SHOES WHICH WILL KEEP YOUR FEET DRY FROM SWEAT OR REMOVE YOUR SHOES FROM TIME TO TIME."
[YEA] 06/17/2009: Leslie from New Castle, PA: "My son had a huge wart on his thumb. We tried the over the counter liquid, that didn't work. Went to the dermatologist and they tried freezing it, then they tried using a laser to get rid of it. Nothing worked. I found information on your website to try banana peel and I am happy to report IT WORKED! At night we took a piece of banana peel and put it on the wart, flesh side down, and put a band aid on it to keep it in place. He did not wear it during the day. We did this for about 2 weeks and the wart is completely gone! (I froze the banana peel to keep it fresh.)"
Replies07/08/2009: WellyS from Salford, UK replies: "I have just been reading about Banana Peel for Warts. I have some under my breats and can be a nusciance. Was interested in some comments about freezing the skins, is is advisable to cut in pieces before freezing??"
[YEA] 06/07/2009: Worried Mom from Calgary, Alberta, Canada: "Hi, I have been trying the banana peel method on my daughter for about 10 days and it seems to be working! She has about 20 flat warts on each hand. The doctors would not listen to me and told me to be patient, that they would go away after 2 years maximum. Well, she's had them for five years now!!! I have really been encouraged by your posts and I am going to keep trying for another few weeks. We just tape the banana peel over the back of her hand, duct tape, and put a sock over it."
[YEA] 06/06/2009: Rachel from Sligo, Ireland: "I have had about 35 warts on my right hand for the last two years! My mum and I tried everything we could to cure them. When my Mum found this website, we were desperate to get rid of my warts by now and would try anything so we said we'd give the banana peel a go.We rubbed the inside of the banana peel on my warts and stuck smaller pieces(1/2 inch squares) on with band-aids and left it on over night. To make sure they stayed on, we put on a glove and an elastic band over the glove. After about two weeks all my warts were gone! We know other peple who have warts too and we recomended banana peel to them."
[YEA] 05/20/2009: Jean from Oshkosh, WI: "Banana Peels are removing warts. Three days ago my son's torso warts were irritated, inflamed, and spreading. I tried salyic acid on them and he screamed in pain, cleaned acid off. We had the doctor freeze his original 3 warts last fall, the procedure hurt and the warts spread. I read an article about banana peels in one of my favorite publications and had discussed it with my 7 year old a couple of weeks ago. As he recovered from the acid incident he agreed to do the banana peel. We cut a quarter sized piece of peel and secured it over his 2 original warts using an adhesive bandage. The next day one wart was completely flat and the residue from the wart was on the peel. We changed the dressing applying a new section of peel large enough to cover 4 warts. The next day the other original wart was completely flat. We are now working on a wart closer to the armpit. My boy is comfortable wearing his banana peel to school, is feeling no pain, and the rest of the family is astounded that this is even working as quick as three days in."
Replies06/16/2011: Anna from Bethesda, Md replies: "Apple cider really works!!!
Apply a little cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar every night, attached with some tape and in less than one week you will see how the wart starts disappearing. I had tried every chemical I found for months and nothing worked. No salicylic acid, no freezing, nothing! Try it!"
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 06/24/2011: Mjgates2 from Richmond, Va, Usa replies: "OK, I will admit I am a skeptic. I started using the banana peel 48 hours ago. I have 3 warts. 2 on my right hand, and a plantars wart on my foot. My plantars wart seems to have reacted to the banana peel as there is now a small hole in my foot. No black dots, but I don't believe it is gone as alchohol and vinegar have no pain effect to the hole. If it was down to raw flesh I am sure I would feel it. The 2 on my hand don't look much different as of yet. A little softer when I first take the band aid off, but color, size, etc are about the same. I will post my results after a couple weeks."
[YEA] 06/26/2011: Tander from Salem, Or replies: "Ten years of plantar warts. Surgery, freezing, cauterization, acids... None of them worked, all of them hurt. Finally got desperate, never been a fan of "hoaky" remedies, and low and behold banana peel and duct tape works better than ANYTHING! And the best part, is that it causes NO PAIN! Just a gift to anyone who has had them for a long time and relied on the failing medical community for help. For once, I love my hoaky remedies!"
[YEA] 07/15/2011: Leelee from Brighton, England replies: "I would just like to say thank you, I developed a wart on the end of my nose in February this year and was devastated by it. In desperation I searched for a non-surgical remedy for this and using a search of 'natural cures for warts' found this site.Three weeks ago I started rubbing the offending wart with the inside of a banana skin every night and after 10 days the wart blackened and has now gone!
I do not know what scientific evidence there is to support this but it worked for me.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you."
01/20/2012: Lisa from Sioux Lookout, Ontario Canada replies: "I have never heard of using banana peel for warts until I came on this site. Another cure for seed warts is rubbing a onion on it. My neighbor had one on her foot and my daughter had one on her foot and my neighbor told me that someone had told her to slice a onion and rub it on it 3 or 4 times a day and each time to rub it with a new slice and that in a week or so the wart would go away. I started doing this to my daughter and in about a week or so the wart was gone. Some time after that I took my son to a dermatoligst and I was telling the dermatologist about the onion and how it got rid of my daughters wart and he said no that don't work the wart just goes inside of your body when you do that. My intuition or gut feeling was that he was just saying that because he was afraid that I might tell other people about it and knock him out of some buisness. I would have never believed that the onion would work until I tried it myself and seen the wart go away."
[YEA] 07/12/2012: Monique from Ottawa replies: "Hi, Our son had over 50 warts on each foot that we tried for a year to have removed. Nothing worked - not compound W, weekly vists for a year to a podiatrist who painfully scraped and put cyrogenic freeze on his foot each week, $300 in skin cancer medicine that caused him nosebleeds it was so powerful. He had clusters of warts that deformed his foot - it was to the point that I thought he was going to lose his feet and this kid played hockey 6 times a week. Finally after turning to the internet, we started doing banana peels and duct tape every night - I set it up in our calendar to remind us. A couple of times early in the process we quit after a couple of weeks but finally I was so worried about his feet that we decided to do it and keep doing it because we really had nothing else and with this it seemed to stop it growing at least. I guess I was expecting faster results and completely taping his feet every night was a lot of work.
We did two other things:
I also tried to limit sugar in his diet which is really hard for an 11 year old who plays sports every day of his life and is so active. Something about sugar and the immune system.
We also seperated his socks (I had purchased triple what a person normally needs) and I put them thru a sanitize cycle when I had a load (2 hr wash with bleach).
The end of the story is that our son's feet are completely clear - wish I had before and after pictures because the results are truly amazing. His feet were so bad he would not let me take pictures but I really wish we had. Nothing short of a miracle if you ask me.
Good luck - I had to post this testimonial in case it helped someone else. It took a few months but it really did work. We used fresh banana peels since he loves peanut butter and banana for breakfast (we put it in a baggie in the fridge in the am to use at night).

From today I will use Banana Peel. Would be very happy if it will beneficial.. Will keep posting if have any queries.. Thank You :)"
07/29/2012: Tom from Raleigh, Nc replies: "I had 3 plantars warts show up on my feet at once just about, 2 on 1 foot inbetween 2 toes and 1 on the ball of the other foot. I picked at them for MONTHS, I even used sand paper and a razor blade and cut them off and they just came right back. Embarrassed wearing sandlesI finally went to the Podiatrist, He put on on 60% Sialic Acid paste, This stuff burned the crap out of me, The bandaids I used to keep this stuff in place would slip off or move and then the paste would pretty much kill all the skin on my foot and do very little to the wart itself.
Finally went to a different podiatrist and He put me on Formaldehyde 10% in a roller, Went on easy and dried pretty quick so no need for bandaids, I only applied it to my right foot warts 2 times a day because I had no faith in it at all.. 1 week later NOTICEABLE difference. 2-3 weeks later They where completely gone, And the wart on my left foot disappeared also. Im assuming it built up my bodys immune system!
Ask for this stuff!!!! Worked great I searched the internet and NEVER heard anybody talk about this stuff when getting rid of warts and I feel like people should know."

[YEA] 05/17/2009: Ingrid from Irvington, NJ: "A few months ago I noticed a cauliflower shaped wart on my upper ear which appeared to grow over time. I've used this website for natural remedies in the past couple of years so I knew if there was a remedy that worked I would find it here. Anyway, a few days ago I decided to try the banana peel on my ear. I applied and left on overnight and change the next day; each day the wart got darker and shrank by the 3rd day a huge piece of the dried wart fell off! There is only a tiny piece left and I've applied another piece of banana peel this morning and anticipate the wart to be totally gone by in a couple of days. I have other warts on my neck that I'm about to try this remedy on!"
[YEA] 05/15/2009: Katie from Skipton, North Yorkshire, England: "WOW THIS REALLY IS A MIRACLE. It really does work 100%. My daughter is 4 years old and was covered in warts they started as a small cluster in the crook of her arm within a month they had spread right down her arm. I took her to the doctor who said to leave them alone they would go within two years. After 4 months she was covered down the whole of one side of her body.It was hard to see any skin. After numerous visits to the doctor and specialists they were still growing but by now they were catching on things and bleeding and were very sore. I couldn't take her swimming or have any of her skin showing they looked so bad, children can be so cruel. I did try other things first like Wartner but they didn't work and just hurt, but then i found this site. Thank you to all who left messages or i wouldn't have tried this. I put strips of banana skin on the warts at night held on by very large dressings because there was so many and in the morning we washed the skin with lemon juice. At first they seemed to get worse and i did think what am i doing but i am so glad we persevered. Some nights her skin was to sore so we just had a few nights off then start again. Banana skin at night washed off with lemon juice the next morning. It took about a month in total some just disappeared others a white core came to the surface so i just pulled it out with tweezers they did bleed a bit but then i just again washed with lemon juice and they dried up.All the warts have gone.Today we have just returned from seeing the skin specialist who can not beleive her skin. Even the doctor could not deney it works he said he had heard of this before, so why not tell people! I have been told they will not come back now they have gone. You will need to use bio oil afterwards to help the skin to heal with no scars, but my little girls skin is back to being beautiful, only people with warts will ever understand the pain of seeing your child so upset because people will not play with her because of the warts. Please if for nothing else other than curiosity or your at the end of your tether try this banana skin wrap.Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave good advise i will be eternally greatful."
Replies05/16/2009: Lon from Stanhope, NJ replies: "It makes my heart glad to read about how this little girl was healed. Being a mother of a chronically ill child; I can relate to the suffering and worry that was experienced. I will definitely recommend this remedy to others...so thankful this site exists. As to the skeptics, we are under DR care, but this site offered us ideas to try that were less invasive and more effective for certain antibiotic perpetuated, spreading, painful, long term health issues.I never would have known to try these remedies if i didn't find this site."
[YEA] 04/25/2009: Kcisaak from Orem, Utah: "Banana Peels for Warts: My son had clusters of about 20 warts on both feet. We tried everything from over-the-counter medicines to having the frozen (three times). Nothing worked and they seemed to be getting worse and more painful. The doctor said the next step would be having them surgically removed. Out of desperation, I looked online and found this remedy. My son and I decided to give the treatment one month. Well, after one month the warts weren't gone but much improved. We decided to alternate nightly the acid medicine from the doctor with the bananas and after two weeks, the warts are completely gone. I've been recommending this to everyone I know with a wart."
