Last night I noticed a Sty starting on the edge of my eyelid. I have been reading this site for another ailment so decided what you guys would have for a fast growing sty, this thing was getting big and painful in a hurry. I tried the baby shampoo this morning and after 3 applications within 2 hours of each other... It's gone! Thank you soooo much! I really didn't need yet another ailment on my face. (I will explain further in a comment on dermatitis and ACV... Another big hit with me. ) I so appreciate all of you.

I too started getting a sty yesterday. I got on my favorite website, (earthclinic.com) and read about the baby shampoo, fortunately I had some.. I had a function to go to, my eye was hurting everytime I blinked, was red and swollen. I applied the baby shampoo with a Q-tip and almost instantly the pain went away, it stung for 15 seconds at the most. I used the baby shampoo several times yesterday and evening, before bed and this morning, it's almost gone. Who would of thot?? Love Love Love Earthclinic! :)

I just wanted to say that the baby shampoo is working for stys. I tend to get them around my eyes, look like little whiteheads about the size of a pinhead. I have a couple now...the first one has been there a lil longer, just below my lower lash line and it's improved, but the new one that just popped up directly on the edge of my eyelid, touching the eye, is very noticeably shrunken. I think it'll be gone soon. It was irritating my eye so bad because everytime I blinked it felt like grit in my eye. But I just rubbed some baby shampoo on the spots while washing my face last nite and then rinsed with water. I would recommend it's probably best to do ASAP, probably easier to get rid of the sooner you treat it, like any other problem really.

Thanks Moses5 for that remedy. It really works! Yesterday I had a sty under my right eyelid and decided to try the Baby Shampoo by dabbing some with a q-tip to the top of my eyelid as well as on the sty. I only did this twice and to my amazement, the sty was gone and I no longer had the pain that came along with it. I wish I would have taken a picture of the before and after to show others who probably won't believe me. I am hooked on this website and am telling family and friends about it so that they may find some comfort in finding easy rememdies for their ailments. Thanks Again!

Baby shampoo will cure a sty in no time. Look closely at the infected eyelash and you will see a waxy substance at the hair line. Take a Q-tip dipped in baby shampoo and simply wipe along the infected eyelash wiping at the waxy substance. The sty will not break, but will discharge the infection back out of the eyelash. The baby shampoo will not burn your eyes and cleaning both eyelids, with shampoo and water, will make yours eyes feel great. I cannot remember where I found this remedy but wanted to share.

My son's latest sty on his eye I treated with one application of baking soda (bicarb soda) paste. It is soothing which is a lovely bonus. 15 minutes held on his eye, by the next morning, about 24 hours, it was gone

Hi Teena, Thanks for sharing this. Can you specify how you made the baking soda paste and how to hold on the eye ? Thank you !!

Sure, just baking soda in a lil bowl, add water and mix until paste consistency, dip gauze or face washer into mix and hold onto eye, while lying down. You'll find it's very soothing, also I did not let my boy wash the residue after, I think it definitely helped. The more frequent you can do is best, baking soda used to be called the universal medicine, and it was after reading it's many uses, ( I lost the article however) I decided to try it. It's worked better than tea and colloidal silver. And no stinging. Sorry I didn't see your question sooner

Go and buy Brewers Yeast right away to treat a sty. The same day you start using this the pain goes away. Within 3 days you don't even know you have it. Keep using it for 1 week just to make sure it goes away completely. If you get the bigger tablet take it 3 times a day. If you get the smaller round tablet take at least 2 of them 3 times a day. Read up on Brewers Yeast and Eye Health.

Do you eat it, or make a paste and put it on the stye? I'm confused.

Castor oil works amazing for styes. Once you feel the stye coming on, apply cold pressed castor oil with a q-tip. Apply liberally. Apply it throughout the day and night. I usually apply it 3-4 times a day and then overnight. You want to keep the oil on it at all times. Takes a few days or so and then it's gone.

My 5 year old son had a sty on his eye over the weekend. I put a little bit of castor oil onto the swollen part of his eyelid twice a day for several days and it is about gone by now. I will treat another day or two. It took seconds to treat him and he didn't mind. I used to get styes all the time as a child and wish I had known about this. I never treated them and they always went away on their own, but it took a while and it was uncomfortable.

I tried the castor oil, tea bags and baby shampoo on a very big sty, and these remedies have worked wonders. First l washed the eye with baby shampoo, and amplied hot to warm chamomille and green tea bags. Then applied with a cutetip the castor oil. I have been doing this for the past three days and the inflamation is almost gone. I was looking like a monster, was really scared to the point l was ready to go the an eye doctor although l do not have insurance. Thanks for being Earth Clinic!

I use castor oil in my eyes when I feel a sty coming on, it gets rid of the sty within 12 hours and I have never suffered any side effects.

I just wanted to share my success with using castor oil for stys. I frequently get little bumps around my eyes that look like whiteheads, had some particularly irritating ones just on the edge of the eyelid that rubbed the eye. Ouch! I tried the baby shampoo which got rid of most, but some stubborn ones remained so I tried castor oil. First of all it's very soothing and didn't bother my eyes like the shampoo, especially since it was unavoidable to get in the eye bc of location. I just used a qtip and smoothed it over both lash lines and around the eyelid and let it sit overnight. My stys cleared up around 24-48 hours. I kept at it a little longer, it feels nice and hopefully will prevent anymore.

STY - CASTER OIL REMEDY -I developed a big sty on my eye, it was in the evening and I did not have any sty medecine, I had read that caster oil would get rid of a sty so I decided to put it to the test, I put the caster oil on with a cue tip, within an hour my stye was half the size, I put some more on before I went to bed, and in the morning the sty had gone all the way down.

Hello people of the world, I had a painful lump on the eyelid of my eye about 5 days ago. My eye was a little swollen and it looked as if it had pus under the eyelid. It was throbbing and it was painful just to blink. Came to this site to find out about a cure and read about rubbing a gold ring over the affected area. I wasn't home and I didn't have any gold jewelry with me. The only thing I had was cold pressed castor oil so I used a Q-tip and put the oil on the affected area. To my surprise the pain diminished. I applied the oil the second time and the pain went away completely.

I came home and disinfected my 14k gold class ring that I haven't worn for thousands of years and started rubbing the ring against the affected area. The first day I rubbed the ring 4 times for about 10 minutes each time. The second day, I did it for about 30 minutes once a day because the eye was so much better I didn't see the need to do it more than that.

By the third day, stye was long gone. That was so awesome! I was impressed and will continue to be impressed. I call this site "The Bible of Natural Cures." I have found a lot of valuable information that has helped me and my friends. I have learned a lot and continue to learn. Thank you all who have contributed and continue to do so.

Hello Queen,

Using underarm deodorants with an aluminium ingredient can cause this problem of a Stye in the eye. Most of them have this ingredient unfortunately. I can assuredly speak from personal experience on this matter. It happened a couple of times to me before I cottoned on and made that connection. Easily solved if you know and can source one without aluminium.

Cheers, Michael
