Although I had begun using VCO for other reasons, I realized after only two months that a chronic, "incurable" bladder condition that I had had for twenty-one years was much better. Then it seemed to just disappear. It has been over a year since any symptoms, and I don't expect any. My urologist was astonished.

Coconut oil 1 teaspoon plus 1 teaspoon raw honey and two drops oil of oregano. Mix it very well and next time your child will go to bathroom, it will be without screaming. It workes every time when my child has urinary track infection or cries when going to bathroom.

Colloidal silver is amazing for UTIs. I have tried so many remedies: cranberry extract, raw apple cider vinegar, oregano oil pills, and d-mannose. For me, D-Mannose did work, but I got horrible gas pains using it (seems to be a rare side effect). For me, colloidal silver is the fastest and most effective way to get rid of a UTI. I just follow the directions on the bottle that I get. Mine happens to be 500 ppm (part per million) and the bottle suggests that adults take 1/2 teaspoon twice daily. Doing this 3 days in a row tends to clear up almost all infections, though you can always go longer. My bottle suggests that you not go over 14 days in a row. Though as a preventative measure to UTIs, I have changed my diet. I very rarely eat meat or dairy products and just consumed more veggies, fruits, and whole grains. Though meat tends to affect me more than dairy. I find that if I eat meat more than 3 days in a row, I tend to get a UTI.

Hello, am looking for some advice please.

My 80 year old father has just been diagnosed with a urine infection and a slight chest infection. He has been prescribed antibiotics.

I was wondering if it would be okay to give him some Colloidal Silver to take alongwith the antibiotics. If so, how much and how often.

Thanks.

There's different types of colloidal silver. The kind I got the help to me with my UTI was called ASAP22 plus Silver solution. I would also highly, highly recommend D-Mannose!

I tried everything for bladder disease. The regular doctor prescribed Nitrofurantoin... so bad.. it causes even bladder disease... so I became very very ill ONLY COLLOIDAL SILVERWATER was THE REMEDY( for E-coli). Bladder disease was gone. Afterwords I took DMannose...very good..no pain anymore...also good for interstitial cystitis...really true. I have to tell this for the doctor did not know that Nitrofurantoin causes bladder disease. read: Natural Medicine Encyclopedia C.Norman Shealy.

I used colloidal silver by Oxysilver with p73 oregano oil. I also drink goldenseal tea daily. I took this after antibiotics didn't clear my bladder infection. I re-tested at the doctor and it was gone.

Dena L. ,

I am curious as to what dose of colloidal silver you used ?

The Oxysilver bottle does not clearly say what strength their silver is. They show that their bottle contains 8 ounces and it says a serving size is one teaspoon and then it says that there are 48 servings in the bottle and each serving is 5ml.

https://www.amazon.com/OXYSILVER-IMMUNE-SUPPORT-HYDROSOL-CONCENTRATE/dp/B009PG1FBI/ref=sr_1_5?crid=QYNLJPQ9RL1B&keywords=oxysilver&qid=1654399344&sprefix=oxysilver,aps,217&sr=8-5

The only indication of what strength their silver is in this sentence on the bottle :

* Daily value not established 3ppm

If this 3ppm is the actual strength of the silver in the bottle, it is very very low. They charge $39.95 for this 8 ounce bottle making it very expensive considering how little silver is actually in the bottle. By comparison, MesoSilver sells an 8.45 ounce bottle of their 20 ppm colloidal silver for $32.97 and their bottle contains over 6 times the silver in it as Oxysilver.

For another comparison, EC sells an 8 ounce bottle of colloidal silver for $29.95 that is 20 ppm of silver. This also has over 6 times the silver in it or to say that a little differently it is roughly equivalent to more than 6 bottles of Oxysilver if you were to dilute it with distilled water to equal 3 ppm.

Not all colloidal silvers are the same and some are very expensive for the amount of actual silver in their product.

Once again, I got a UTI. I'm older and seem to be getting them more frequently. This time after I had an illness (was told by a cupping practitioner I'd had COVID) and I had had diarrhea for a couple of weeks. This gave me the UTI, even though I clean always with water and soap after using the bathroom and am careful to not do the things I should not. I got it anyway.

I'd gotten other utis in the past couple of years and never want to go on antibiotics but I could never get rid of them on my own. Cranberry never worked for me, I tried D-Mannose without success.

Then I read two solutions that worked for others that also worked for me. I'll post this under each solution.

The first is lemon water. One person said cranberry never worked for them (me neither) but lemon did. Hot lemon water 2x a day. It was so much reduced at the end of the day, I was so surprised! I did it for two more days but I still felt twingey.

I had a doctor's appointment the next week, and I thought I'd have to go on antibiotics because even though lemon helped tremendously and immediately, I could still feel it.

So I came back here and started going through every cure. One woman posted about oil of oregano and cornsilk tea, and that she'd had a bad bout of diarrhea and got the UTI right after that, like me. It helped her so that she did not need antibiotics.

I have both cornsilk tea in the house and oil of oregano and made it right away. This was the solution that kicked the final bit of it out of my system. I had to do it for several days. By the time the doctor appointment came days later, I didn't need to say anything to them about it. I felt a little twinge about three days after I stopped taking it. I took two more cups on two more days.

This is the first time ever I have not had to go on antibiotics for a UTI. I hope this helps someone else.

Also the practitioner I saw said if you have diarrhea and UTI, after using the bathroom, first rinse the area with water, then wash with soap and water. Then mix a teaspoon to a tablespoon in a small container of warm water (like a handheld bucket, mine is maybe four cups max). Use that to cleanse the area well. Don't do it frequently because you don't want to kill the good bacteria in the area, but this can be done as a cleanse on a short term 3days or so basis to keep the area clean to help heal. It helped me feel better right away. It doesn't heal the UTI, but does a great job of sanitizing the area for you.

Thank God for this website. May our Creator bless and heal everyone who comes to this site looking for cures, to those who post their solutions and give all of us hope, and blessings to the developer and people who work on this site.

I have used corn silk extract for UTIs with great success. I found that cranberry works specifically on a particular bacteria associated with UTIs, but if it doesn't work for you, what to do?

This is the one I used: https://www.herb-pharm.com/products/corn-silk

I found immediate relief from pain/itching - by the end of the day, that symptom was gone.

The dosing is easy - 1 dropperful in a water dilution / dose (there are instructions on the label for dosing)

You may find this option works faster & costs less than all the cranberry remedies.

Corn silk works wonders for my dog's incontinence. He was suddenly dripping and peeing in his sleep even though he has never peed in the house in his life. I see that most of the posts have been about female dogs and their spay incontinence but I just want to say that corn silk capsules eradicated my adult male dog's incontinence by 99%.

He is a 70lb dog and I give him one capsule per meal twice a day. I also time when he gets water but not reduce the total amount of water given to him. This way he would not have to hold for as long. In two weeks he went from dripping in his sleep every day to needing to go out earlier than his potty breaks. We listened to him when he would indicate wanting to go and slowly his schedule was back to normal. It has been a month and a half and he stopped having incontinence completely. I will likely give him cornsilk long term since it is inexpensive and effective as incontinence prevention.

Corn Silk Tea: Since I did not see this as a remedy, I thought I would post. A friend recently had some bladder pain and she went through 2 rounds of antibiotics with no success. She tried other holistic remedies, but in the end her mother boiled the silk from the outside of corn into a tea and that did it for her. I don't have a recipe, but if you search on "corn husk tea medicinal" you will find it.

Having suffered from cystitis many times over the years, I always have handy some Cornsilk, and it has always worked for me. It is natural and cheap from a good Health shop. It is alkaline. You place a small quantity in a jug and pour on boiling water and leave it to cool. Best to leave it overnight, but if desperate, you can drink some after about 20 minutes. I also drink plenty of water afterwards.

I once had cystitis for 9 months when I had tried just about everything, but this was my first real relief. You can buy it from a good health shop and it is cheap. It is the dried ears around corn. God has given us everything we need in His creation.

Does corn silk tea is commercial or fresh boil corn silk? Does it bother your stomach?

How much corn silk do you use? How long do you take this treatment?

Thank you.

Hi Jean, I know this is way too late to your question. I have been taking cornsilk in the capsule form by the brand Nature's Way and it has work so much better for treating my UTI than just the other things that's mentioned here. I take 3 capsules with water, and follow by 2 cups of water depending how bad my symptom is and I also do the organic applecider vinegar. I do this 3-4 times a day until my symptom clears up usually within 3-4 days, then I continue taking 3 capsule for 2 times a day for another 2 days to clear up the infection. The cornsilk doesn't upset my stomach. Hope this helps.

I tried to do the vinegar douche but I got worst I started getting pain in the vagina, thank God for corn silk and shave grass tea I felt better 3 hours later. They usually sell this in the mexican stores: One bag of corn silk and boil it in 4 cups of water, and for the shave grass tea they sale those in tea bags so you put that in a cup of hot water and drink it drink as many as many cups as you can, keep drinking it for 5 days or longer, even if you feel better. Both teas work but if you only find the corn silk it will work fine.

I got UTI in Colombia in Tayorona park. It was very humid and we did a lot of hiking, so maybe that caused it. The only medicine I had with me was cranberry pills. I did not have my regular medicine that I take to treat UTI. So I took about 15 pills at once (usually my day dose is 2 pills) and drank about 3-4 liters of water (it took me couple of hours to finish the bottles). I was staying in the bathroom all evening (literally I could not leave the room for more than 5 min so I just decided to stay in the bathroom). By the time I passed the whole water that I had drank I felt much more better and could go to sleep. The next morning the was no sign of UTI I had the day before. I know it may be a bit drastic to drink so much water in matter of 2 hours, but we were staying in isolated area with no access to pharmacy and I did not know what else to do rather than to force the bacterias to go out. It helped me. It happened 1,5 ago and since then I have not got UTI yet.

I can attest for cranberry as a UTI remedy. I first found out about it maybe 15 years ago. I had gone to planned parenthood not knowing what was wrong with me, the nurse told me she couldn't write a script, but told me to buy 100% cranberry juice. I did just that, I downed two 20 ounce bottles and drank them right away. My UTI was gone after about 10-15 hours. I recently got a very bad UTI, it was so bad I was bleeding. I drank 2,20 oz bottles but it didn't get any better.

The next day I went and got the giant 60 fl oz bottle from the grocery store. I downed the whole thing in an hour, which was painful just because of the massive fluid intake and I also hate the taste of cranberry. I drank it at night and the following morning the UTI was gone. If you are going to try cranberry, make sure you read the label carefully. Sometimes it will say 100% juice, but in reality it's 10% cranberry and the rest is other juices. If you down a whole bottle quickly it will flush your system and things will be back to normal within 24 hours.

Very nice post. But let me suggest that cranberry concentrates may be a better option than 100% cranberry juice. One that you mentioned is the taste of the juice, which is bypassed by concentrates. The other one is the limit imposed by the volume of juice that has to be consumed, and the sugar load inherent in that volume of juice. Concentrates can give you more potency, and almost no sugar.

Thanks for the post. It's good info.

I had recurring bladder infections for years. After the last one -14 years ago--I began taking cranberry capsules as a PREVENTATIVE. I just take one in a.m. and one in the p.m. I take 3 if I'm going to have sex. You can also take d-mannose as a preventative. Urinating before and after sex is always good to do.
