QUESTION

01/25/2009: Anh from Sewell, NJ writes: "My 4-year old female kitty, Precious, started the multiple visits to the litter box a couple of days ago, producing very little urine (with some blood). This has happened twice before, the first time when she was 2 years old, then maybe 6 months after that. It scared us to death when we saw the blood, and rushed her to the emergency vet's on Christmas morning that year. She went on an antibiotic and special food. I did not like either of them. The vet said she should be on the special food for the rest of her life. We were feeding her PetGuard at the time, sometimes California Naturals. She eats GOOD food. Past 6 months, Wysong canned and dry (not free-fed). We have new kittens in the house (rescued) and I think there is truth to the "stress" theory being the cause of these, though she loves the kittens, it is stressful (for me too!).

I just found this site! I put some ACV in a little food, which she won't eat. Also added some to all the water bowls in the house. She's a well-fed cat and I may have to withhold food to get her to eat the ACV. WAIT! I just saw her take a litle drink of water and she's eating the food! (I put some tiny pieces of turkey lunchmeat in it, her favorite treat - which she hardly ever gets), Hooray!! She ate all the food. I'll keep you posted. Now I have to look up a remedy for my sneezing Persian!"

IT WORKED!!! i just followed him to his box and it was yellow. yaah. i cant believe it worked so fast. he has suffered for 2 yrs. so a vet can make money??? SHAME ON THEM! i hope another person doesnt waste money on the vet. they have to know about the acv. anyway, thank u for healing my cat"

[YEA]  01/19/2009: Apryl from Hooks, Texas writes: "Last night hubby and I noticed that our cat was acting very odd. He wasn't using his litter box and would "squat" every few minutes all around the house like he was trying to urinate. His coat didn't look so good and he was having trouble walking and he couldn't sleep. It was a Sunday night and today is a holiday. There wasn't any place open to take him. He was trying to go to the bathroom and let out the most horrible crying noise. It brought me to tears. I just felt so helpless. I came across this site and decided to try acv. We went to Wal-Mart at 3am to get some as we didn't want to wait and watch him suffer. It's been less than 24 hours and he's already feeling better. He isn't squatting all the time and he actually has been able to urinate some and is using his box again. He's finally able to sleep as well. I gave him a lot more than what was suggested from the people on this site because I was terrified he wouldn't make it through the night. I honestly have no idea exactly how much I gave him. He won't eat wet food at all, so I bought his favorite treats and saturated with with full strength acv. I also used a dropper and gave him a bit mixed with water (not sure how much of each as I was in a panic and wasn't using measurements). I also added some to his water. I think I will keep doing this until he is better, then I'll just continue to add some to his drinking water. I'm so thankful to have found this site and so glad that our kitty is feeling better. I know he has a way to go, but the improvement was almost immediate. To be honest, I had my doubts at first but decided it was well worth trying and was really the only option I had at 3am. Don't hesitate to try this. It really works and works fast. I will still take him to our vet just to make sure he's ok, but this may very well have saved his life as he was looking so horrible I was afraid he wouldn't live through the night. Thanks!"

12/05/2010: Dallas from Atlanta, Ga, Usa replies: "Of importance, I saw a post regarding ACV being dangerous to kitties with renal disease -- which was critical for my household of 4 cats, (Maggie has early kidney disease -- which subQ fluids are maintaining). I was going to put ACV in the water bowl (as Isabella has UTI and is a somewhat wild rescue getting used to housemates and being inside - and she would NEVER let me give her a ACV by mouth as catching her to get to vet took an hour... With much disarray and a few wounds (me) :) She was given an antibiotic shot 10 days ago. She is better but still not peeing as much as she should.

I have given her 1/4 tsp ACV in wet food 3 times now, and also Vitamin C powder and will continue to do so. Thanks to all fellow kitty lovers for posting (and check out "Simon's Cat" on You Tube if you want a laugh)! He has really nailed kitty behavior in his animation. And one last tidbit -- anyone who has outside cats they also take care of in cold weather, check out Snuggle Safe discs that go in microwave and stay warm for 8-10 hours. Heat according to your microwave wattage and tuck in their bed/blankets. They will LOVE you even more. God speed --"

04/30/2011: Crazy Cat Lady from Cookeville, Tn U.s.a. replies: "My female Manx has had blood in her urine. Funds are low here and I had been treating her with human antibiotics that can be used in felines. I hope this works. She has been feeling really badly.

Also used this on my male dsh cat. He has been acting like something has been stuck in his throat and vomiting a LOT in the early morning. I have suspected it was a hairball. Tried mineral oil, Vaseline, and a store-bought hairball remedy with no success. I used the mixture that people used here 1/4 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 tsp distilled water via oral syringe. I felt bad because immediately... He got sick. Out came the GIANT hairball he has been gagging on. Strange, but neat! My other female dsh has been acting as if she has the start of a UTI as well. She got the same as the others. Both females spit just a little out. Will update on the worst case, which was the Manx. Thank you so much for the advice. I take Apple Cider Vinegar daily myself."

[YEA]  12/27/2008: Clifford from Hollywood, Florida writes: "This is the the most powerful website for people to find help that I have ever seen. Our cat Chino was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (blood in the urine). Cysts and Urinary Blockage and was getting worse every day. We spent thousands at the vet and they told us that he needed to take 10 more medications and have surgery for more money and that there is no cure for his disease. Finally I said "NO" there has to be another way.

I was familiar with the use of ACV on people but never knew it could be used on animals. Thanks to earthclinic after about 2 doses of ACV in his food and water all the blood in his urine disappeared!! He is healed and now once again a happy cat thanks to this community of online help and wellness. We cannot thank you enough...

[YEA]  12/15/2008: Jeannie from Houston, Texas writes: "Thank you so much for the apple cider vinegar remedy! I had a male cat who recently developed a severe bladder infection. I came on this site and read about the apple cider vinegar cure. He would not eat or drink so I put one capful of organic apple cider in a bowl (cat bowl)then filled the bowl with water. I then took a dropper and filled it, wrapped him in a towel tightly, and gave him the dropper slowly by mouth. I waited several hours and did this again. There did not seem to be much improvement first night, but by next day he was perky and he could urinate without crying. I continued ths same treatment the next day, making sure he was able to pee even a little(as I did not want to keep giving water if the urine flow was completely blocked)Slowly but surely each day he was better and better. Today it is like it never happened. The strangest thing though is yesterday he went into the kitchen, and started trying to get oil out of the olive oil bottle....so I poured him some and he lapped it up.

I am going to be adding both apple cider vinegar and olive oil to his diet from now on. I think the apple cider vinegar was a life saver when my kitty needed it. Thank you!"

[YEA]  12/02/2008: KG from South Brunswick, NJ writes: "Hi all.Our 3 yr.old cat Tum was lethargic when we came home on thanksgiving night, after seeming to have problems peeing for a few hours earlier.I took him to a 24 hour emergency hospital at 11pm,being the only place open at that time, especially on a holiday.I was told upon entering there was a $120 "cover charge" just for walking in.Fine.Ijust want my cat to live,I thought.Well when the vet called me in to discuss the problem,I found out he had a urinary blockage and they wanted to unblock him and do testing to find out exactly why,due to the tune of $1200,also while telling me he may need surgery on top of that.Being pretty strapped for money, like anyone else nowadays,I couldn't afford their testing.I started crying hysterically, not wanting to have to watch my cat suffer infront of us helplessly, and watch him die.The vet told me she'd unblock him, thankfully, but then we were sent on our way.He seemed ok for a few hours afterwards, but then started going in and out of the litterbox every 2 minutes or so.We knew we couldn't afford to take a trip to the vet or hospital, just because we already knew what it was and what it would cost. That's when I started frantically searching the net for a home remedy type solution, and the apple cider vinegar treatment was the 1st I came across.I was EXTREMELY weary and hopeless, but thought, hey I have nothing to lose.My husband immediately ran to the food store and bought a bottle.I gave Tum some WET food mixed with about 1.5 tsp of acv immediately, and the same amount at every feeding.I am so happy to report that out baby is almost completely better. He is not only making less than half the trips the the litter box than before, but it active again after only 3 days now.Sure he didn't like it at 1st,but mix it with food and if they're hungry, they'll eat it!We didn't force it down his throat(we've tried before with other meds and it was just us getting scratched and bit by him)but administer it by any means if you have a fussy cat!It is SO worth it.I just want to speak on behalf of all the loving animal owners who can't afford expensive treatment...please give it a try! There's NOTHING to lose.It has kept one of our family's best friends around!

Thanks a MILLION ten fold for those who have made testimonials and who have informed us on the use of avc for urinary problems for our cat,as it has saved his life and gave us such great hope,as well as returning our Tum to his lively, crazy young self! Please, please try it-if not now,as a last option. We did and we are so thankful.Thank you all so much."

[YEA]  11/29/2008: Anne S-K from Innisfil, Canada writes: "First of all, I would like to thank the owner/founder and independent contributor for this wonderful site, along with all those those who have provided valuable feedback concerning folk remedies.

Our senior cat Pepper who is about 15 years old developed problems over a year ago, which started with listlessness, loss of appetite/drinking and vomiting. We took her to a Vet and was informed that she was not drinking enough and needed to be rehydrated, so she was kept overnight at the clinic for tests and was rehydrated by IV. The Vet later informed us that because of her age her kidneys were failing and tests showed they were in poor shape, he also said she would need to be on medication and a low protein diet which could only be purchased at the clinic.

After the awful ordeal of having to pop a pill down her throat every day, she showed no improvement and her symtoms actually got worse and she was deteriorating faster and was looking like a bone rack. I tried every kind of food to try to tempt her to eat but she would only eat about a teaspoon of food. It was very upsetting to see her so ill and thin so I returned to the Vet who told me that the kindest thing I could do was to put her to sleep. :( My family and I decided not to go that route and brought her back home.

After extensive researching on the net I found that others pets had gotten worse from this medication so I stopped giving it to her.

I also learned online that dandelion leaves were great for flushing the kidneys and body of toxins, so I started giving her a fresh one from the garden and chopping and mixing some through her soft food.

With the help of organic baby food and a fresh dandelion leaf daily, she slowly regained her appetite and stopped vomiting and was drinking lots of water.

A year later she has now fully regained her weight and is eating her regular crunchies and soft food and has a healthy appetite. The only thing now is she drinks huge amounts of water which I was told was the bodies way of flushing toxins out of the system which is due to her age and failing kidneys.

Two weeks ago she got a bladder infection and was straining to uninate but was only passing small drops, so I reseached the net and found EARTH CLINIC, after one day of giving her organic apple cider vinegar in her soft food and drinking bowl she started to unrinate and has been fine since.

"Another one of mother earths natural remedies"

We are now keeping Pepper on the apple cider vinegar perminately and our new kitten also.

Quess what? she is now also starting to drink normal amounts of water. :D

Thank you again for this wonderful site.
I hope my feedback also helps others.

P.S In winter I add dried dandelion root to Peppers soft food which I purchase in my health food store.

We add 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to her soft food and 1/2 a teaspoon to two cups of her drinking water every day.

fresh dandelion half of one small leaf from my garden chopped up fine and added to soft food three times a week, in winter 1/2 a capsule of dried dandelion root.

If you can't get your cat to eat the fresh leaf, try putting about 5 drops of dandelion liquid tinture in a full bowl of drinking water.

IMPORTANT!!!!
Don't ever administer full strenth cider vinegar or dandelion root directly into your pets mouth.
This would choke them."

[YEA]  11/23/2008: Krista from Jarvis, On, Canada writes: "My Cat Binx had been suffering from a Urinary Tract infection 1 month ago. Of course at that time I had no idea what to do and It was 1am on a Saturday, so I made an Emergency call to my Vet. Within 2 days he was good as new! To the tune of $429. Then 2 weeks later the same occured again, so back to the Vet. This time it cost $189 plus he had to be put on Expensive canned food. I thought all would be fine after that.

The next week he was sick once again, and my hubby and I could not afford to spend another dime on vet bills, so I searched high and low on the internet and came across this site...A TRUE GOD SEND!!! As soon as I read all the testimonials I knew it had to work. I rushed out and bought a jug of ACV. I gave him 1/4 of a tsp, mixed with 1 tsp of water, and put in syringe. I pinned him down and made him swallow it. He hated it and gagged, so i filled up the syringe with water to help with the bitterness. Within 4 hours I noticed a difference already. After 24 hours he was able to urinate normally, and looked great. Now Two times a day I make the same mixture and put into his wet food, he takes it like a trooper! LOL It has been 3 Weeks, and I have my old cat back. His fur is shinnier, his eyes are brighter, he is spunky once again. This is something I will keep him on for a long time. IF YOUR SCEPTICAL, IM TELLING U IT DEFINITLY WORKS, AND IT SAVED MY 6 YR OLD CAT'S LIFE!!!!"

[YEA]  11/05/2008: Pat from Brookings, OR writes: "ACV works! Kitty, who is 7 was suffering from a 3rd round of urine problems in past 2 years. Displayed blood in urine, discomfort. Vet would only prescribe antibiotics again if extensive tests done so found this site and thought we'd give it a try. Blended 1/2 tsp. ACV into her wet food at each feeding, 3 times a day and 1/4 tsp. in her 1-1/2 cup water dish. Same day there was improvement and 4 days later under this regimen she is sleeping peacefully, and appears to be urinating normally. Give it a try, using unfiltered ACV bought at the health food store, don't know if that's necessary tho. Thanks again!"

Luckily I found this website and went out the same night and bought some ACV. Also switched him to canned food. The effect was miraculous! He started urinating normally within 12 hours (or less) and is almost back to his normal active self. I still can't believe how well it worked. My question is: How long do I continue giving it to him? I've reduced the dose from 1 tsp to 1/2 tsp per day (mixed in his food). Does anyone know the long term effects of ACV? Is it safe? Please do let me know if you have any information on this. Thanks a lot for this website and all of your posts!!"

This was the second time my cat had contracted such an infection and I knew I was going to be faced with a hefty vets bill again. So many of you had recommended using ACV that I thought it had to be worth a try. My cat had been weeing constantly and with pain, there was blood in her urine, she was listless and had no appetite. I put 1/4 of a teaspoon of ACV into her drinking bowl with 1 cup of water and used a syringe which held approximately 2 tablespoons full to get it into her mouth. 12 hours later and she is a different cat! There is no blood in her urine and she is back to her normal healthy self. I can't thank you enough for your recommendation of the ACV. I intend to always keep a bottle to hand now and will certainly be telling all my cat-lover friends about its miraculous properties. Thank you!"

[YEA]  05/04/2008: Tonya from Houston, USA writes: "Apple cider vinegar is great for crystals and UTIs in cats. The vets would be out of business if they recommended ACV, because it heals almost everything. In addition to all the skin disorders that cause scratching and hair loss, I have cured my male cats crystals which almost killed him 4 yrs ago. I had great success clearing another cats urinary tract infection. Wish I had known about this remedy last year when I had a house full of foster cats with upper respiratory infections. It cost a bundle having them all on antibiotics. People and their pets should have Apple Cider Vinegar everyday for many many reasons as reflected in this outstanding site. Thank goodness for the Internet, because this is information the doctors sure won't tell us. They have an expensive office visit and a toxic pill for everything."

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR - LONG TERM USE

WARNING!

[WARNING!]  05/09/2010: Angela from Calgary, Alberta, Canada writes: "Hello, I originally wrote back in May 2009 about my cat Spillo who has been suffering from cystitis for most of his life. I just wrote recently saying that he reached the one year mark and he was in total remission. Well he had a change last week and the information I found out from the vet in very important for those who want to use ACV long term. Last Wednesday Spillo started peeing what looked like pure blood. I took him to the cat hospital and the vet said his bladder felt small and very hard. He was there for a few days and basically what he ended up having was a severe bladder infection (on the first feel the vet thought it might be cancer). The vet said that ACV used (daily like we were giving to Spillo) will make the ph very alkaline. Alkaline is good when you are trying to prevent crystals, but when you go too alkaline it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria.

Bottom line, if you are going to use acv long term, maybe check with your vet about the quantity. We discussed the dosage with the vet and he thinks that 1cc 2 to 3 times a week is plenty sufficient. The one good thing about this visit is that the urinalysis showed that Spillo had no crystals or questionable blood cells in his bladder. ACV does work and is very good for cats with this problem. I will continue to give 1cc of raw acv to Spillo twice a week."

WORKED TEMPORARILY

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  06/27/2010: Karenmarie from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada writes: "After realizing my 2 year old male neutered cat had developed a UTI I decided to look up vet treatments and home remedies. I had recently dropped an $800.00 vet bill on my late kitty, Tranny, who suffered from a rare blood disease and needed to be euthanized. I do not believe in medical veterinary practices (or doctors for that matter) as the disease is treated as a separate entity from the animal or human. Upon discovering the treatment used by vets is generally anti-biotics mixed with an antidepressant i decided to veto that option as the UTI's are rarley a bacterial infection.

I discovered this amazing website and the use of ACV in cats with UTI's I decided to give it a try. My local health food store carries ACV with the mother aswell as organic cranberry juice. At first I only used the ACV (1/2 tsp in 2 tbs water) and administered three times a day with a syringe. My cat began to use the litter box in stead of the couch and floor for the first time in 3 days. I chose to add 1 tsp of cranberry juice (organic and unrefined) to his treatment adding another 1 tbs of water for extra dillution. His food has been switched to a raw organic canned food mixed with another tsp of ACV and cranberry juice.

Becuase of his lack of fluid consumption I syringe feed him 1/4 cup of regular water before his feeding time to ensure he has enough fluid to urinate any dissolved crystals aswell as keep him hydrated. By lighty pinching the skin on the back of his neck and holding it for a few seconds before letting it go, I found he was mildly dehydrated because his skin did not bounce back quickly.

It is now the third day and although his recovery is not as quick as I have read to be the norm for most cats, he is more playful, able to take naps and his nose (which was white before) has returned to it's normal fleshy pink color, his attitude has improved and us slowley returning to his happy affectionate self.

All in all I do see an improvment in his activity and although he has returned to peeing on the couch (only at night) the amount of urine is nearly a full bladder and their is no more traces of blood. I think his urinating on the couch behaviour is now a product of his connection with the pain of the UTI and his litter box, this should be cured with a few days if positive reinforcment."

09/29/2009: Russell from Sioux Falls, Sd writes: "Hi. I'm returning to this site to voice my complete disappointment in ACV and its effects on MY cat. Catzilla's infection has come back, worse than before now. I've tried 2 ml to 3 ml of Water twice a day for the past couple of days and even with cranberry extract (two capsule a day), nothing is working. She's puking her food up and peeing everywhere again, even so much as (from what I could tell) defecating a bit on the wall (I only saw three small spots on the wall, nothing too gross). I've found blood in her urine when she pees on things so worse has finally come to worse. I must now take whatever money I can and put it toward her vet bill, which I'm sure is going to be through the roof. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but I have no other choice. Very very disappointed in this remedy. ACV just didn't work for me. Good luck, everyone else. I hope your kitties get better."

[WORKED TEMPORARILY]  09/15/2009: Russell from Sioux Falls, Sd writes: "Well, after my Catzilla (trust me, she's totally earned her name) started peeing all over my computer room, all over any loose clothing, boxes, carpet and anywhere else soft, I knew something was amiss. I, too, just like most of the people on this site, cannot afford vet bills or even a check up (I can't even get myself to the dentist as it is).

She started this behavior last week and after my wife and I had given her two capsules of cranberry extract with a 5 ml water chaser every day, she seemed to improve by week's end. But, a couple of days ago she started back again, same behavior. We started back with the cranberry as the wife believed this to be a better solution at the moment. I knew about this site last week and kept trying to remember to buy some organic ACV but would keep forgetting.

So, yesterday, I got some org. ACV and administered 1/4 tsp with 1/2 tsp of water. She's seemed on again, off again in her recovery. She was crying but her crying isn't nearly as bad. Ups and downs, really. I just gave her some more cranberry with water and she's laying down near the door on the carpet. Sometimes, she licks her "spot" but then she stops after a little while. I've been trying to give her at least two doses of the ACV a day. I know I can't expect miracles overnight, as most of you have received but I'm really frustrated and not sure what to do. We've decided by Thursday, if she isn't better, we're taking her in. Any pointers from those who have had success with the ACV I can use to try and expedite Zilla's recovery?

Thank you so much for your help. I just want Catzilla better. She's just so miserable lately."

09/17/2009: Russell from Sioux Falls, Sd replies: "Hello again! I have come here to testify!! :) After three days of worrying and hard work (and a bigger dose of ACV last night) I am pleas-- no, ECSTATIC (!) to report that my Catzila is 110% better. She's purring, and rubbing me with her tail (blech!)... and ignoring me... JUST like a cat. ;P

I think I misread the tsp to ml chart at a website I visited so instead of a decent dose to "kick it", this UTI just dragged on for the poor little thing. But, on a whim, I gave her a little over 2 ml with 5 ml of water in a syringe and now, I can see the pee stains in her cat box, not bloody, just... wet (sorry for the graphic nature of this post) I just need to shout it from the rooftops that ACV does, indeed, work. So, to those of you struggling and worrying about using this stuff, just trust me, you WILL get results. Just be patient.

I'm not giving her any this morning but I plan on it this afternoon before I go off to my second job. She's been through enough this week. One final note, and I pray I don't get flack for this. My wife had me crush up a non-prescription strength pain medication (it turns pee orange and helps you see if the kitty is peeing anywhere) to help alleviate the pain for Miss Kitty and it seemed to help. Thing is... she did pee more in the room but at least we got to tell if everything we were doing to help her worked or not. Now my left index finger and thumb are bright orange from the stain (it does wear off).

So, 2 ml of ACV to 5 ml of H2O in a syringe, cranberry extract and a lot of love -- a great combination! Your cat may fight you which is why you have to get right behind him/her and almost force feed them. Yup, they will drool and foam at the mouth and all that nastiness but it's only temporary. Thanks for letting me run off at the fingers, y'all. I'm just a happy lil' clam now that I got my Zillas back. Good luck with your efforts!"

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, PROBIOTICS

12/11/2009: Jim Hilton from Menominee, Michigan writes: "My cat and I love the results of using ACV for his urinary tract infection. But he hates the taste. It so happens that at the same time that I've been treating him with ACV, I have been researching homemade fermented foods for my own well-being. Evidently the healthful "probiotics" & enzymes in homemade 'rejuvelacs' made from cabbage & wheatberries are becoming quite popular as folks become more aware of their health benefits.

It strikes me that, being as cats tend to eat grass, they may actually be looking for living bacteria to balance their immune systems against 'bad' bacteria.

As basic fermented 'rejuvelac' juice is full of good' bacteria, (& ACV with the'mother' in it is as well, I bet it may accomplish the same results for my cat's health. With my next batch of fermented rejuvelac juice, I am going to start giving my cat that instead of the ACV.

The internet has quite a variety of recipes available; my favorite is 1/4 cp wheat berries (or any whole grain)soaked in mason jar (nonchlorintated water) with an apple sliced up. After 3-4 days, (when there is a little 'fizz' on top), it may be drunk. It tastes very good; not sour.

If it works, my cat will love the change, as rejuvelac made with fresh apples tastes quite mellow. I will keep you folks posted on the results of a "probiotic juice" with my Sonny Boi's treatments."

QUESTION

Her eyes looked dull and her coat looked dull. I did some research and now she takes 6 drops of cranberry extract which dissolves the crystals and she eats human grade ingredient cat food. I haven't had a problem in 6 years."

Also had the same result with cranberry but since it's so bitter, it's hard to get it down her. Also I stayed away from the dried cat food which seemed to make it worse."

[YEA]  09/13/2009: Kimi from Alpine, Ca, Usa writes: "Cat Cystitis:

Hi! A sure-fire remedy for cat cystitis is unsweetened cranberry juice, fresh-squeezed lemon juice & water. 1 cup cranberry (unsweetened!!), 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice & one third cup water. I administered 1tsp. doses by syringe every half hour and Daisy-Mae was cured within 6 hours after battling cystitis for months!!! YEAH! She would allow the syringe "feedings" because she knew it was giving her almost instant relief. I had tried everything... ACV, antibiotics, etc. This recipe worked like a charm and it is all natural! Love it.

On Saturday, 04 September, we noticed that our 2 year old cat, Panda was struggling to urinate. It was after hours, so we called an emergency clinic to ask for suggestions. All they told us was to bring her in. The following Sunday morning, I had my daughter go on-line to seek out natural remedies. She came across this site and Kimi's post. We made a mixture of water, lemon juice and cranberry powder from capsules. We administered 1 teaspoon every half hour for six hours. Oh my goodness, within hours, Panda was looking better, by the end of the six hours, she had urinated with zero struggle and was playing like her usual self. Thank you so much! "
05/04/2011: Miss Moo from Cookeville, Tennessee U.s.a replies: "My cat, Miss Moo (a 12 year-old Rumpy Cymric Manx), had been peeing blood and not using her litter box... And was using my kitchen floor as a new "pee spot. " When she urinated, she strained and there was very little urine. I tried the ACV with no luck in her, but ACV did help my male cat with gastrointestinal problems.

I used the fresh lemon juice and sugarless cranberry juice recipe you posted. I dosed kitty every 30 minutes for six entire hours. She was NOT happy about getting this. After 3 hours, she seemed stronger as she started to fight the doses. It's always been very hard to give her a pill or anything oral because she spits it out the sides of her mouth.

Anyhow, I placed some newspaper with a white paper towel on it in her pee spot so I could see the color of her urine. I woke this morning to see a LOT of urine. It was completely CLEAR! After trying antibiotic after antibiotic, ACV, and going CRAZY cleaning up pee and trying to help her as we couldn't afford to go to a vet because I live on a fixed income. This INDEED worked!!! I am VERY thankful to you for this recipe and posting the information on here! Bless you!

I placed a small litter box with her usual litter in her pee spot and am hoping that she will use that. This morning, after placing the small litter box there, she went to her usual litter box and peed. A blood-free, clear and a healthy amount came out with no straining or pain.

Again, thank you SO much! If ACV doesn't work for some... Please try this!!!"
