My poor 13 yr old dog had some green nasal discharge so I took her to the vet and was given an antibiotic. Well, to make a long story short, that was 3 months ago and the vet keeps giving her antibiotics and the MRSA keeps becoming resistant to it. The newest one she was given is chloramphenicol. We were instructed to use gloves when handling it. She wants her on it for 1 month! My dog can't take another month of antibiotics. She is getting weaker and weaker. I looked it up and not only do I have to wear gloves, but also a mask and if she vomits, I have to wear gloves to clean it up. It can cause "toxic marrow". So with that said, what else can I do? I can't use Turmeric like is stated here since it is in her nostril. Any ideas?
