Lynne spent 11 years living in India, studying with master teachers and practicing the meditative and philosophical foundations of the body's subtle energy systems. In-depth understanding of meditation, prayer, sacred sound, vibration, movement and breath contribute to Lynne's energy healing methodology. She has integrated that knowledge with formal energy healing training with the renowned healer Rosalyn L. Bruyere (1988 Graduate), and intensive Aikido martial arts practice (3rd degree black belt). Lynne's academic degrees include a B.A. in Education and an M.A. in Religious Studies. These concentrated studies have contributed to the development of a well grounded and comprehensive way to help people flow toward balance and health. Lynne has more than 25 years of clinical experience with diverse populations in a variety of settings in both the U.S. and in India. She has helped people move through structural issues, injuries, energy imbalances, pain, chronic and acute disease challenges, chemotherapy toxicity, fatigue, food sensitivities and more. Recently, her activities have included two years of full time research at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. As the Lead CAM* Practitioner and Research Coordinator, Lynne engaged in hundreds of energy healing interventions for critically ill children and infants and provided supportive mind/body energy education for their families. Working with the Children's Memorial Integrative Medicine team, Lynne developed innovative energy healing protocols for randomized control studies. This pediatric research was highlighted in U.S. News and World Report (January 21, 2008) http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/2008/01/09/embracing-alternative-care.html?PageNr=1. Contact Lynne with your name and address by email if you would like a hard copy of the article which has additional pictures. Lynne strongly believes that the future success of health-care depends upon our ability to work with love and respect in interdisciplinary teams; thus bringing forth the best actions and maximum benefit. Lynne has distilled this vast experience and dynamic power of the energy work into a protocol of methods known as Self-StillingTM which form the basis of Lynne's current work with adults, children, and the elderly. Self-StillingTM directly affects the deepest, vital elements of each person's energy anatomy. Through gentle energetic touch the essential spinal energies are engaged to create a profoundly comforting, rippling effect through the systems of the body and enliven natural self-healing potentials. Self-StillingTM enhances and supports the body's innate motion toward optimum balance and health by encouraging an increase in cellular communication and stimulating healthy re-organization of affected systems. This motion toward balance and health is then supported further by several focused hands-on Self-StillingTM energy healing methods. Self-Care is an important part of the healing process. Clients are offered the opportunity to learn simple, effective mind/body exercises which support the work and enhance the natural flow of energy in the body. Pain relief is a focus of Lynne's current clinical work and when appropriate, she combines SCENAR** therapy with Self-StillingTM to quickly relieve acute pain and activate the body's natural healing abilities. Please contact Lynne at 646-671-9674 if you have questions and would like more specific information about the work. *Complementary Alternative Medicine --------------------------------------------------
