[YEA]  12/31/2005: Trish from CA writes: "I found this website last night and I was amazed that there's so many others who believe in all the health benefits of ACV. When I was younger (20s) I was dieting and not getting the fast results I wanted, so I drank ACV straight for weight loss. Even though I lost weight much faster, it was so hard for me to drink it because would gag from it. Now I can't even drink it after mixing it with 8 oz of water. Plus I did lose some of the enamel on my teeth (wish I would have known that then). So here's what I've discovered by experimenting a little. Mix 1/8 cup (2 tbsp)in a glass of V8 Juice! Since V8 is tangy anyhow... I can't even tell the vinegar is there. Plus you get all the nutritional benefits of the V8 juice. I sip it slowly with a straw and drink bottle water it between each sip to rinse my teeth. Then I brush my teeth when it's gone. I'm writing a book on nutrition/weight loss and ACV will definitely be one of the chapters!"

[YEA]  11/27/2005: Rene from Livingston, La writes: "two months ago,I started using the acv. (_______'s) on a daily basis with 2 tbsp. before dinner. I use it for over-all health and wt. loss. It works, I lost 15 pounds within a four week period. I take the acv. full strength because I have acquired a taste for it. Over the Thanksgiving holidays,I gained a few extra pounds from over-indulging and I was out of my routine of taking the acv. before my dinner. I skipped four nights of taking the acv. and I noticed a difference on the scales when I gained a few extra pounds. On the fifth day, I got back on the acv. and the scales showed a 2 pound difference the next morning. I am a believer! Never leave home without your acv AND Never miss a day!"

[YEA]  03/18/2005: Brenda from Bear, DE writes: "After retiring, my weight soared quickly from 140 to 175. Two months ago, I began doing vinegar (heinz) and water 3 times a day. I am down to 152 and am not dieting any other way. Arthritis is much better, no sinus or headaches, and I feel much younger at 65. I have lost 23 lbs. in 2 months. I use 2 TBS. of vinegar in 6 oz. water twice a day. I find it helps me more to take it right after lunch and supper. I don't feel so bloated after my vinegar drinks and swear this has took the weight off and makes me feel better overall."

[YEA]  Anonymous writes: "Just one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water at meals can change your life completely. How? Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid which stimulates the production of stomach acid. The more stomach acid the better as it breaks down your food into smaller molecules. The smaller the molecules the more efficiently your intestines and liver can absorb the nutrients it needs. In the old days the stomach would be producing acid all day long so it would be ready for meal time. But these days when the body is stressed the stomach stops producing acid so at meal time there's not enough acid to digest the food. This creates all kinds of problems; indigestion, gastric reflux, IBS, bad breath, diverticulus, fatty liver, lactose intolerance, allergies, fatigue, you name it. But just a little bit of apple cider vinegar gets the stomach working again."

[YEA]  krisanne from Birch Run, Michigan writes: "Apple cider vinegar helped in my weight loss. I have always been watching what I eat,but I do like fresh fryed perch from the bay, anyways the other day I felt a little bloated so I decieded to have a mixed greens salad with red onions,so I mixed up a ACV, grapeseed oil, scallots, garlic, salt and pepper dressing,a day later I felt tired and I had 5 or 6 bowel movements that day. The next day I felt great, stomach ache was gone, bloatness was gone, and I felt awake. So I got out my ACV book and did some research. What I came up with is my body was flushing the toxins from the ACV dressing. So I started taking 2 teaspooons daily with a little water because I love vinegar and I feel great."

[YEA]  Ruth Ann from Gordon, GA writes: "I used ACV pills 3 years ago with a low carb diet and the weight melted off in 6 months. I lost 50 lbs. Everyone asked what I was doing. I told them and they start the same. I got to the size I wanted to be and and the next thing I knew I stopped taking it and in no time (1 year later) the weight started back. I have tried many diets and none work for me!!! But once again I started this again and now 15 lbs have already come off in 15 days."

[YEA]  Heather W from Iowa City Iowa writes: "I've been drinking a couple tbsps of _______s raw apple cider vinegar with a liter of water almost every day; and I have noticed better skin, no allergy symptoms, and weight loss. I've begun exercising more as well, but I've noticed that places I normally have problems losing (spare tire) are slimming down much faster than when I've just exercised in the past. It's been two months and I've lost 12 pounds, whereas in the past I've exercised like a maniac and not lost weight this quickly. I drink at least 8 oz. water with vinegar first thing when I wake up to kick in a higher metabolism, then sip for the rest of the day."

[YEA]  Krystel from Covina, CA writes: "I heard about ACV from a friend and decided to give it a try and so far I have lost 4 lbs. I know that doesn't really sound like much but I wasn't that big to start out and I lost the weight from my belly where I wanted to lose it from! I take two table spoons in a 8 oz glass of water and drink 3x a day."

[YEA]  Judy writes: "I am trying apple cider vinegar for the first time. I have found the best way to drink it is in a glass of V-8 three times a day. I use celery salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of vinegar in each glass. It tastes really good and I've lost 4 pounds in three days without trying to change my eating habits. Since the cider vinegar seems to be decreasing my appetite the weight seems to be coming off naturally. It's still a little early to tell but I'll keep on this regimen for awhile! Thanks so much for your site!"

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND CAYENNE

1 YEA

[YEA]  04/22/2008: Dee from New York, USA writes: "I have been using ACV pills and Cayenne Pepper capsules to lose weight. I have been taking them now for three weeks. I have noticed a difference already. With a little exercise at least 5 times a day, nothing strenuous and cutting down on fatty foods and snacks have helped me loose weight so far. I have not weighed myself yet, but will do so after I see more results. Everyone is complimenting me telling me that I have been loosing weight. It feels good to hear that. My clothes are fitting looser and that makes me feel good. I don't particularly like the taste of ACV itself so I opted for the pills and the pepper not such a fan of the really hot stuff either but they work just as good. If you don't like the cayenne pepper use the capsules. You should take them with food so that you don't feel the heartburn or the uncomfortable feeling in your stomach in the beginning. After a few you will not have any symptoms. So far it has worked for me. I'll keep taking them until I finish the bottles and by then I should have shed more weight."

05/11/2008: dave from friend, nebraska replies: "would you contact me and tell me how the acv tabs and the pepper tabs are working?"

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES

1 NAY

[NAY]  03/26/2009: Carmenza Roldan from Chicago, ILL. USA writes: "I'm so excited that I found this great website, it seems like I'm addicted since I come here for all kinds of health concerns and I always find great advice from all of you!

I started with the ACV and the Molasses two weeks ago, my main concern was losing weight and be healthier, I feel good I had not experience any allergies or sinuses problems, but I had not seen any improvement in regards of my weight, I had cut down the carbs and I'm eating small portions and still have not seen not even 1 pound.

I bought the organic vinegar the brand recommended in this website with the mother, I take this vinegar 3 times a day before meals the first time I take it right after the molasses first thing in the morning.

I wonder if it is the combination of the 2 the vinegar and molasses that is not allowing me to see any results in regards of the weight. Please advice. Thanks."

[YEA]  02/22/2008: MommyJoey from Singapore, Singapore writes: "It has been around 3 weeks and I had finished two bottles of ACV with BSM in it, every 3 times a day hoping to see a drop in my weight but to no avail. One week ago, i have this terrible headache and dizzy spell and it even caused me to throw out very badly.I even realised that I've gained 2 kg since i started on the remedy. I did not give up and continue the remedy thinking that it must be a correction. This time round I even add in psyllium husk to my drink to help on my constipation problem. Guss what, it is indeed a correction (keep my finger cross), I feel more energized, all my skin problems eg. cuts and acne healed faster and i started having regular bowels everyday. No more aching back and I've got lesser food craving nowadays. I am doing more study on VCO and shall keep you guys posted on my statues."

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, CRANBERRY, LEMON

2 YEA

[YEA]  06/24/2008: Michelle from Houston, TX writes: "I take a daily concoction of 1 tsp ACV, 4 ounces of unsweetened cranberry juice, 12 ounces of water, and half of a squeezed lemon. It's part of an eating plan and it's said to help cleanse the liver. All I know about it after seven days is that I feel generally better. I am prone to UTI's so the cranberry is definitely helping, and I've lost 4 pounds in eight days. (Of course, I'm following a prescribed plan of eating all natural foods and eating every three hours). It's a bitter drink, but I'm still drinking it!"

01/06/2009: Erynn from New Haven, CT replies: "In response to Michelle from Houston, TX -- If the drink is bitter, try adding some grade b maple syrup to the mix. Although its adding some calories, your also adding some vital nutrients which will give you energy and good health. I highly recommend it over honey any day! (Goes well in tea too)."

So since the pain of the distaste will likely cure my sore throat and maybe even help me lose some weight I'm ready to go. These letters are wonderful. I came to this sight looking for a natural cure for my friends dog who has a calcium deposit on his back. Can't wait to see if I lose weight!"

AVOID BUTTER AND RESTAURANTS

1 YEA

[YEA]  03/20/2007: Jonna from Atlanta, GA writes: "I am 39 years old and recently realized that going to restaurants can set me back 10 days sometimes in my weight loss regime. I realized this after going to a home-style indian restaurant 2 weeks ago. Their food was delicious, but cooked in lots of butter and sugar. It literally took 10 days to cover. My body fat went up by 1% after the meal and only today, 10 days later, has my weight dropped .50 of a pound, even though I have been exercising every day and on a very healthy, low fat diet at home. So I think one has to be very vigilant about the butter when going to a restaurant and ask that the food be prepared in olive oil. 10 days to recover from 1 meal -- can you believe it??"

AVOID SPUN HONEY

1 YEA

[YEA]  03/31/2006: Sharon from Boston writes: "I got a huge pot of organic spun honey from the farmer's market last month. It was delicious, but after a couple of weeks, I noticed a huge buildup of dead cells on my tongue towards the back. It was pretty gross. I also felt my metabolism slowing down and I gained a couple of pounds even though I was eating very healthily. I bought regular honey at Whole Foods last weekend and after 3 days my tongue is back to normal and I am starting to lose those 2 pounds! Interesting, eh?!"

BENTONITE CLAY

1 YEA
1 BETTER BUT NOT CURED

[YEA]  02/11/2008: Sara from Westport, OR writes: "Dear Earthclinic, I have tried many remedies over the years to remove the belly fat on my stomach and hips. I have been drinking one tablespoon of liquid bentonite clay which I purchased at the local health food store about six weeks ago. I have lost about 3" on my belly and 2" on my hips. The other reason I'm drinking this is that it detoxes metal from the body. The taste is mild and I take it only at night with a glass of water. To date, I have more energy, eat less as I feel full, and my body feels lighter. There are more benefits to ingesting clay but too numerous to mention. A 16oz. fluid bottle cost about $8.00 and has about two months worth of bentonite liquid clay."

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  02/18/2008: Julia from Bryson City, NC replies: "Are there any side effects to eating the bentonite clay? I started this last Friday and so far have not felt any different. Thanks."
