Stroke Remedies: Q&A

HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR STROKE VICTIM?

11/18/2012: Brandy from Olean, New York: "Hello, I am wondering if there is any information that can be provided to me regarding a stroke victim? He is 60 years of age, approx 5ft 5in, 130lbs. He has suffered 2 strokes thus far, the last being around 3 years ago. He is capable of functioning fairly normal and lives alone-however with difficulty. He does not suffer from permanent paralysis from the strokes, however suffers from extreme slowness, difficultly performing tasks such as using a can opener at times, and speech tends to be a bit delayed. He is also a type 2 diabetic. Is there a supplemental plan that would potentially benefit him in regards to improved movement and speech abilities? He currently is on medicaid-however receives limited services. I would like to see if a homeopathic plan would be beneficial for him for a long-term outlook. Any information would be wonderful and much appreciated.

Thank You, Brandy D."

WHAT TO DO TO RESTORE MIND PRIOR TO STROKE?

03/28/2012: Philippa from Surrey, Bc, Canada: "I have had 5 years of hell. My memory is shot, my facial recognition is barely there, my bowels and bladder are out of control, etc. I have had many tests; but, it wasn't until I had a cat scan lately that old stroke damage became visible.

I think I know the day the stroke happened. I had gotten out of bed to answer the phone and was having trouble walking. I answered the phone and could only say "later" before hanging up. These symptoms cleared up within an hour. Since I didn't have any-sided weakness, slurring of speech, loss of speech, etc. We didn't suspect a stroke. Surprise!

Is there anything I can do to reverse damage this old? I sure would like my old mind back, I'd grown quite fond of it. I will definitely start AVC immediately. Any other suggestions?"

03/31/2012: Monica from Bostic, Nc/USA replies: "Extra Virgin Coconut oil and MCT oil, 2 tablespoons before breakfast, lunch and dinner, google it and you can read for yourself the amazing qualities of these two related oils and the how people have been able to reverse cognitive disorders."

QUESTIONS ABOUT CAYENNE FOR STROKE PREVENTION

10/05/2008: Terry from Apple Valley, Ca San Berndarino: "In my cupboard there's the spice cayenne. Can it be used the same as I have been reading in the receipes like for the tea? This is what I have been doing ALSO, I take a tesp. put honey and 1/2 tesp of cayenne mix together and swallow.

ALSO A HEALTH CONCERN: In my MRI it showed two (2) leaking veins 1% very low. Nonetheless over a period of 8 to 11 months I will have another stroke. Will my spice in the cupboard help me?

Also what is a tincture? Thank-you for your consideration
Terry"

10/06/2008: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Hi Terry, Yes the cayenne in your spice cupboard is the same as you read about in EC. However some cayenne peppers are hotter than others. Cayenne is said to stop bleeding both internally and with external application. A tincture is a strong herbal preparation made by extracting the herb in alcohol or sometimes in vinegar. Directions can be found on line by googling things like herbal preparation or gathering and preserving herbs for later use."

11/09/2008: G from NY, NY replies: "I first read about the benefits of cayenne in reading a book called "Left For Dead" by Dick Quinn.(bought cheaply online through Ebay) This lead me to the internet searching about cayenne and thus to Earth Clinic.
My father died of a stroke at the age of 49. I figured it couldn't hurt. It is a food. I take the cayenne, first mixed with a little hot water in the bottom of a glass to dissolve the most of it, and then fill the rest with V8 juice and drink it (quickly because it is said to taste hotter the longer it sits and it is hot to begin with, so just chug it) along with my varied vitamins: B, C, D, E, etc., cayenne having A and C. The main supplement being garlic because I read that the cayenne and garlic together act as a rota router in the arteries and cleans out plaque and cholesterol. I did not get a cold/throat infection last winter like everyone else at my work or as I did previous winters from the germs passed on from my children. I would just like to add that it took a week for my body to adjust.Yes, there was diarhea like symptoms that normally happen after eating a hot spicy food. I have also read that this a detox period. After a week, back to normal. Like I said, can't hurt. It is a food, not a drug/chemical."

FRIEND WHO HAS HAD STROKE

06/29/2008: ROBERT HENRY from TEN MILE, TN: "75 YEAR OLD FRIEND HAD STROKE LAST YEAR AND IS NOW PARALIZED ON HIS LEFT SIDE. HE IS NOT TAKING TO REHAB. I TRIED TO GET HIM TO DO EDTA CHELATION AS I KNOW FIRST HAND THAT IT WORKS FOR STROKE VICTIMS. HE WILL NOT DO THAT EITHER. HE IS HARD HEADED. HAVE YOU GOD FEARING FOLKS GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS? I WANT TO CRY ABOUT HIS PLIGHT AS HE HAS HELPED SO MANY OLD FOLKS AND NOW NO ONE CARES ABOUT HIM. HIS DOCTORS ARE TYPICAL... WHAT HIGH DOLLAR TEST CAN WE RUN?"

07/07/2008: Gail from Portland, Oregon replies: "Regarding Robert....My friends Mother had a stroke while she was in a retirement home. the right side of her body was paralized and she had to be moved by wheel chair. My friend was distress by the fact that her mother had changed so much and was not getting better and the Doctors in the hospital seemed to be doing nothing. So my friend took her mother to an accupuncturist and in a few months was walking again and her paralysis was gone. Unfortunately many people become victims of the medical system...it is a money making machine...there is no money in curing people...that's why they only treat...To be well in this country you must be "your own" medical advocate. Best Wishes..."
