[YEA] Howard from New York, New York writes: "Apple cider viniger certainly works its amazing. my son had ring worm as small as a dime it was confirmed by the doctor who gave us a treatment for it. so we used what they gave us and thought nothing of it i never had ring worm or seen it before. i noticed that after a while it was spreading. so i went back to the doctor who then gave him a topical cream and medicine to take for 6 weeks. he then assured us it will be gone. But after 6 weeks only affected the site in a extremely small way. so i brought him back and they gave us a stronger medicine that they said would not only kill ring worm but kill any eggs laying around. but this too did not do much so i took things into my own hands and decided to find the solution before it took over his whole head and thats when i found your website praise God. i learned about ACV and went immediatlly and purchased it along side vick vapor rub. i read how it took 3 to 5 days some for some people but i took a cotton ball and put ACV on it and rubbed the infected sight and immediatly the sight bump got white and big. i let it dry for 7 min and repeated again and the infected sight started to bleed. i let it dry and repeated 5 times my son was really a trooper i can see that he was in pain but he hung in there. after the 5 time i let it dry and removed any blood from the site i was amazed and awwwwed. His head was back to normal i still cant believe it but there it was i stared at his head for 1 hour not believing what just happened. i spent hundreds at the doctor for garbage and the Organic ACV only cost me $2.50. I will certainly keep treating his head for 5 more days to make sure it will not come back and i am giving him 1 table spoon of organic ACV to drink to kill whatever is in his blood."

[YEA] Smith from San Francisco, California, Usa writes: "A year ago I came to this site to find a remedy for ringworm. I had gone through an number of over the counter products, which seemed to spread the fungus instead of stopping it. It had developed because of taking prescription medication with fluoride base. Yes I was poisoning myself with a doctor's help.

I tried Apple Cider Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and urine to no avail. By the time I found Borax at WalMart, the fungus had spread all over my hands and I had begun to worry that I would be spreading it everywhere on my body. Plus my hands were cracked and bleeding, blistering and peeling, and the itching was endless.

So I started on Ted's recommended dose of 1/8 tsp in a liter of water and drank it slowly over a few hours. This worked within the first few days so well that I didn't want to stop after a few days to take a break, but I did. Within a months time the ringworm had completely vanished and the only thing left was the tiny pits in my fingernails where the fungus had affected the growth of the new nail.

Once my nails were not pitted anymore I stopped taking the borax supplement.

[YEA] Kokila from Roslyn Heights, NY writes: "Hi, This is for all ringworm sufferers! Fungus help:

I had a very bad case of fungal skin infections (ringworm most likely) on my legs and hand. I had also a bad case of lymphedema, which I got rid of (see my other entry here), but then the stupid fungus attacked with a vengence! So I got rid of one enemy to only attract number 2! So no more swelling and pain, BUT now ITCH and sores! It was going on for a few months with almost no relief. I tried every cream/remedy known to man without success!

Despairing I told a friend, who told me: try "MMS" aka Magic Mineral Substance created by a man named Jim Humble...It cures all sorts of pathogen related viral infectious diseases. Serious ones like Malaria, Lyme diease, you name it! Skeptical I tried it! It WORKED! All the fungus is GONE! Took a few weeks...but eradicated it, even from my hand, where I had had a weird fungus for a year.

So here's my protocol:
MMS in the AM, along with topically some health food store natural fungal cream, just to protect the skin from lingering nasties.
That's it folks!
I tried: ACV, lavender/tea tree oil mix with sea salt first to dry the skin (paid $40 bucks for the download of that info...didn't work), oregano (wild) oil, garlic, multiple creams, etc. NOTHING really got rid of the torture of this fungus, except MMS. Not trying to advertise it, just spreading the word to help fellow fungus sufferers. Interestingly enough Jim Humble's simple remedy is cheap too.

Good luck...hope this helps others.

[YEA] Kokila from Roslyn Heights, New York writes: "HI,
I had a terrible case of A. Lymphedma in my legs and B. Ringworm there as well.
Cured both.

Here's how:
Lymphedema: got this during my pregnancy and continued for almost 2 years thereafter.
I believe from Adrenal and kidney depletion...pregnancy is hard on the glands...adrenals control fluids in the body...so do kidneys.
Anyway..tried everything: Lymphatic drainage massage MLD, acupuncture, herbs, compression stockings, you name it.
Here's what worked: a. Wheatgrass juice daily and fresh celery and spirulina and parsley juice.
b. Epsom salt baths (1/2 pound in the hot water with some bubble bath ,,,natural of course). Soaked 20 minutes a night before bed.
c. trampoline work.

Guess what? I'm cured...the massage therapist said I'd never cure it...that there is no cure. Oh yeah?
I sure hated those compression stockings. UGLY!

Now for the ringworm: AGAIN! Tried everything!!! Spent lots of money on creams, etc. tried herbs, etc. NOTHING! WORKED! The itching was driving me crazy ...plus ugly oozing sores on my legs. In desperation I tried: YES! Calamine lotion. IT WORKS FOLKS!
In a few hours I found relief and now it's gone. Try it. The lotion cost me $1.99

Haha!
Best of luck.

I drenched a cotton swab in the apple cider vinegar and wet the penny with it also. I placed it on the ringworm located on my son's head and covered it with an extra large band-aid and additional medical tape because it has grown to be rather large. I let him go to bed with it on his head and the next morning, it had gone down tremendously! Today is day two and I'm anxious to see what it will look like later.

We had already tried bleach, Lamisil, prescribed Ketaconozole, and Griseofulvn. Nothing was working and it actually grew larger!

This is working. I'll use this method everytime."

Rich from Traverse City, Mi writes: "I have been battling an outbreak of ringworm for 22 years now. In 1987 when I was 17 and living in the hot desert of California, my parents bought a cocker spaniel that ended up having ringworm but no one knew what it was and held that dog like it was any other day. We thought it was an allergic reaction. A few weeks later, before my parents took the dog to the Vet, I was off to Michigan for college, never knowing what the diagnosis was for the dog and never hearing from my parents what became of those lesions.

Shortly after my move to Michigan I noticed small red, scaly, itchy spots that became worse (raised and itchy) in hot humid weather, along the parameters of my armpits and on my buttocks and stomach that gradually spread in mostly just these areas. It eventually spread to my chest, forearms, wrists and behind the knees as well as my groin area..... in the course of 1-2 years.

It was diagnosed, through a skin sample, to be ringworm. I have mainly used over the counter anti-fungal medications to battle this outbreak such as Tolnaftate cream and a few other creams and sprays.......and "coal tar" dandruff shampoo. After about 2 weeks the ringworm seems to disappear completely. Then.... a few weeks to a few months later the ringworm comes back. Sometimes even worse than before and in different areas (in the same places) and I spend more money to buy more creams and sprays ect. to battle it again. How long it remains gone, I noticed, depends on the temperature and humidity factor. If it is winter time, it sometime stays away for a few months. If it is summer time it can reapper within weeks of thinking it is cured. This ringworm is more like a rash than sores. I see pictures of ringworm on the internet and they, for the most part, all look like one big scabby sore or ping pong ball size lesion that looks like an open wound like psoriasis. I have never experienced this sort of lesion with my ringworm. My ringworm looks more like the discolorated pinkish skin spots that are from 1/4 inch to no bigger than 1/2 inch in size like pityriasis rosea. When I first seen pictures of pityriasis rosea recently I thought it looked more like what I have, but I know I have ringworm because I have been to doctors on a few occasions over the many years and from town to town and they all diagnose it the same (from skin samples).

I just came to this website tonight and read up on the natural remedies and found great interest in all the positive experiences....especially with apple cider vinegar. So I fetched a bottle from the cupboard at 10:30pm and poured on a clean wash cloth until it was soaked and wiped down my entire body. The smell was and still is rank, and my cats are no where to be found. I waited 1 hour and recorded my observances.

1. I still smell bad but it has subsided from nose tinging to just an acidic urine smell.

2. There was no burning sensation when I first applied it but I can now feel a slight burning along my forearms especially and there is slight redness of the skin.

3. There is a considerable difference in appearance or a lightening of the spots especially along my left forearm (where I first applied it). It looks very faint and the rest of the body looks lighter but not as noticable as my forearms.

Some other things I should point out about ringworm that I have noticed over the last 22 years is that when it appears to be gone it may still linger. I can usually tell how much it has gone by holding an area that is affected at an angle to the light so I am looking at it like I am looking through a scope of a gun and it will show it's shape still. Even if it appears gone by looking directly down on it. Also, the ringlets, when looking at an angle, in the light have a grain or fingerprint wavy line look to them different from normal skin texture. This is how I try to determine if I have medicated the ringworm to oblivion but it is not full proof as it keeps reoccuring.

As far as I know, I have never infected anyone else including my wife of 7 years now. We did have some worries with our new born after she was born with spots appearing on her forehead once and another area of her face once but with topical applicatio of anti-fungal cream a few times it disappeared for good.

I wondered for a long time why my daughter could have caught it so easily and my wife didn't and I am wondering if it is because my daughter and I are of the same blood type and this ringworm can survive better with this blood type which is type O negative. I would suspect this has nothing to do with it whatsoever but curiously intrigued with the thought.

I will post in a few weeks (or sooner maybe) to report on my outcome with the ACV.

I am going to keep with the ACV for a few days and even try the vinegar tablets to see if this will finally cure this awful, evil and itchy deformity. "

[YEA] Warren from San Diego, CA writes: "I have had reoccuring problems with ringworm for about 28 years, when I contracted it overseas in the military. For anyone who has ever had problems with ringworm, you know how irrating the itching and how fast the fungus can spread on your skin where areas stay warm and moist.

After using various antifungal creams off and on for many years, the ringworm would come back, and in the summer time, it would come back with a vengance.

Thank God I happened to find this website that suggested using Absorbine Jr. to address the spreading skin infection.

For the last week, I had a strong outbreak of ringworm in my groin area, and I guess I scratched it, and it got infected and started creating a hard mass under teh skin that was very painful and for obvious reasons, concerned me greatly. After reading several of your wonderful comments of using Absorbine Jr. to stop the ringworm spread, I went to my local CVS store and bought a bottle of the regular liquid with the sponge applicator on top.
I was amazed after applying the liquid on the affected areas, that the itch immediately went away, and within a couple of hours, I could actually see the angry red areas start to return back to the normal skin color.

The Absorbine Jr. did burn a bit on several areas that were pretty raw, but after fanning the area with a newspaper, the burning went away, as did the constant itching that I have had to endure for all these years.

The infected painful mass that was brewing under the skin also was smaller and the skin starting to return to normal color the next morning when I woke up, so with regular applications of this wonderful Absorbine Jr., I think I finally have located a product that will help me be more comfortable in the future. I am grateful for all the wonderful people who shared their experiences because as I type this sitting in my recliner at home, for the first time in about 28 years, I am not itching."

I tried the nail polish, then red vinegar. Ringworm kept encroaching upon this largest of our organs, the skin.. Finally went to my Personal Physician, who identified it as ringworm fungus.

Cost 50.00 for the prescription cream. I bought another round of this cream over the phone with my Docter as I was running out, and it did not seem to be working well.

Long story short, the Doctor confirmed the ringworm infection was cured, but I was left was dry skin and excema! Don't confuse the symptoms!!!

Am now using an over the counter skin lubricant / softner to get rid of this excema. Remember to not confuse the symptoms! Exema is itchy and closely resembles ringworm's tiny start up patches! Hopes this helps someone out there! -Bob."

Tatsiana from Columbus, GA writes: "Hi everybody - this is a great site with probably very helpful advices on how to get rid of ringworm. HOWEVER, it might not be a ringworm you're fighting! There is a very very similar skin condition called Pityriasis Rosea, and the initial outbreak on the skin looks EXACTLY like ringworm (most often it's on the chest or back). But it is not caused by fungus - that's why none of anti-fungi medication helps to clear it up. I got it about a month ago, figured it was a ringworm, started applying over the counter anti-fungul cream, did it for a week with absolutely no change in condition, during the second week I got little spots all over the body, got scared, tried to get an appointment with dermatologist, but was told that next available would be in a month or so (for a new patient), so I went to emergency room where doctor confirmed that it was a ringworm (without any tests though), and prescribed stronger cream and also antibiotic. I took antibiotics and started applying new cream which seemed to aggravate my rashes even more, they became bright read in color. That's when I found this web site, and I started trying every remedy, one after another - tea tree oil, ACV, white vinegar, nail polish, liquid bandaid, garlic - which badly burned my skin. I was thinking about clorox bleach already but skin was already burnt by garlic, so I was pretty desperate - I went to dermatologist's clinic and cried and begged they get me an appointment. I finally got to see the doctor, who took a few scrapings, looked under the microscope, and told me it was not a ringworm but PITYRIASIS ROSEA which is very often mistaken for ringworm. So look up that condition on the internet, and if you are fighting uphill battle with what you think is ringworm, you might find that you have totally different condition, which is not contageous because it's not caused by fungus, and the treatment is a steroid shot (optional) and steroid cream. I hope this information will help somebody."

I sprayed the ringworm 2-3 times a day, adding a second coat when the first was dry, and made sure I sprayed a large area around the spot as well. I then covered the entire spot with a regular, non-stick bandage. After 3 weeks of other treatments that only made it spread, I saw a major improvement in just 2 days.
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] Merv from Denver, Colorado writes: "I have used ACV for many years, it will not "cure" the ringworm on my scalp, but it will keep it from showing activity. It is still there, I have tried violet Gentian, tea tree oil and everything else I have heard of. Now I will get a prescription and get rid of it."

[YEA] Sherry from New Orleans, Louisiana writes: "My Grandmother would always cure the family's ringworm with white vinegar and a penny. She would soak the penny in a cup of vinegar over night and then place the penny on the site with a bandage. The results are amazing in that the ring worm would began drying the same day and the itching would almost cease immediately. I reminded my brother of this remedy when my niece had a ring worm. He stated that he soaked the penny over night but only applied the penny periodically ( no bandage) and it worked just like always! Thank you grandma!"

[YEA] John from Piru, CA writes: "Absorbine Jr for Ringworm: Tried ACV, Tea Tree Oil and H202 as often as possible. Up to 5 times a day on each spot. Took away the itch, but didn't seem to be getting rid of them at an efficient pace. I made the thirty minute trip to get Absorbine Jr. and I'M GLAD I DID! I put it on at least twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I do it more often when time allows. A few of the spots have completely vanished. The rest are fading. Earth Clinic came through yet again."

Misdiagnosed myself from Nashville, TN writes: "I diagnosed myself with ringworm after I showed my scaly patches to friends and family and two of them said definitely ringworm. So as with anything, I skipped the doctor and started looking at Earth Clinic! (how much money have I saved over the years by coming here first?) Unfortunately I wasted a few days on your readers' suggested ringworm treatments... My diagnosis was incorrect, I actually have Pityriasis rosea, which is a virus and just has to run its course, apparently. If you think you may have misdiagnosed your ringworm, put "Pityriasis rosea" into google images. As soon as I saw the pictures I knew it was me. This rash feasts on areas that have never had much sun: breasts and butt for women, butt for men."
