PAINFUL MENSTRUATION QUESTIONS

12/07/2008: Mairim Villegas from Hialeah, Florida United States writes: "Hi Ted!

Everytime I get my menstrual cycle I get lots of pain, and most of the time the clots doesnt disolved. I have to take about 600mg of IBprofune to relieve from the pain. I dont know if I may have an ovarian cyst by having this symptoms, do you think that may be the cause? Also, by reading your article about the alkaline water i have notice that I've been doing a diet not quite right. Causing me to stress on my diets, most of the time by not eating at all. Can you please help me? I used to weight 212 pounds now by doing diets and goin to the gym I'm now 176 pounds, I still want to loose 25 pounds more, but i want to balance my body the right way. Another issue is that I've been trying to get pregnant and I dont know why I dont. Maybe because of the problems that I get monthly with my periods by the clots not disolving, I dont know if it has something to do. Most of my teenage life my preriod was like this. I'm very confuse and that causes me lots of stress and sometimes i feel angry or mad for nothing which i really dont enjoy it because I was never like this before. Can you please help me? Thank you! your article is very helpfull and understanding to me."

PREVENTING PREGNANCY

07/08/2007: YG writes: "Hi Ted. I recently had my yearly pap smear. My results had came out abnormal. My doctor said I have ovarian cysts. He prescribed me birth control pills. He said it should help to shrink it down. I am not very fascinated with medication. Is there a natural cure that I can use to take away the cysts that I have?. Doc said this is probably the reason why I am not able to get pregnant. I have been trying to have a second child for more than five years. My child now is 10 years old. Please Help.... Thank You"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "YG: A cyst in my own opinion anyway is primarily made of calcium deposits on the cellular tissues as a result of precipitating calcium from excess serum calcium (too much calcium in the blood) which I have found to reduced in size with sufficient alkalization. Deposits such as calcium basically blocks glandular function much like a clogged sink and if located around the ovaries may block hormonal function.

There are two remedies that I have found to help the most in reducing cysts quite well, although its effect is different. The dose tend to vary depending on the sensitivity of people to alkalinity, but the ones I preferred is either the 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus apple cider vinegar of 2 tablespoon in at least 1/2 glass of water. Allow at least about 2-3 minutes of reaction to settle in. Those are ideally taken for about 3 times a day.

Another one, which I believe to remove calcium more effectively is the citrate form, which is actually used in blood banks to reduce excess calcium and prevent clotting, which may quite often lead to heart attack of those recipients receiving the blood which one can surmise that a simple sodium citrate may prevent heart attacks since those are already done in blood banks to prevent such clotting anyway.

Therefore, the simplest easy to find home remedies is the 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda plus a small whole freshly squeezed lime which is approximately equal to about 8 teaspoon.

Another simpler one I had years ago, if citric acid were easy to find is the 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid in 1/2 glass of water taken at least two times a day. This one seems to work better than the more familiar apple cider vinegar if I am just talking about cysts in general. It takes at least 1-3 months for the cysts to reduce in size and the hormones back to normal, which hopefully birth control pill would not get in the way of pregancy.

The other additional supplement which is important for me is the magnesium citrate necessary to normalize excess calcium which I try to take quite often, but in event of a cysts, I would at least take 250 mg/day for 5 days out of a week for at least a month or until the cysts are gone. Other appropriate magnesium are magnesium chloride, magnesium acetate, and magnesium gluconate."
