What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has the same arthritis symptoms as other forms of the degenerative condition, but in this case the pain and joint degradation are the result of an autoimmune disorder. In rheumatoid arthritis, the body's immune system begins to attack the linings between bones at your joints, particularly the smaller joints in your feet and hands. So this is not a cumulative-use type of arthritis where bone is grinding against bone after wearing through protective layers of joint tissue. The unique thing about rheumatoid arthritis is that the pain comes from swollen sinovial membranes and can be accompanied by fever and fatigue that affects the entire body.
The cause of rheumatoid arthritis is unknown, though as an autoimmune condition it probably has a genetic component. This would seem especially true in the case of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, though there certainly could be environmental exposures or even viral or bacterial pathogens that trigger the initial inflammation and pain. RA is most likely to develop between the ages of 40-60, and women are at a greater risk for this health condition (70% of cases). The swelling can eventually deform joints and the bones on either side of them.
Cure Rheumatoid Arthritis Naturally
Exercise and stress relief (you can get both from yoga or tai chi, both recommended for arthritis) can help slow the progression of rheumatoid arthritis and perhaps reduce arthritic symptoms. However, natural rheumatoid arthritis treatment options such as omega 3 fatty acids from plants and coldwater fish can substantially reduce arthritis pain and other symptoms. The curcumin in turmeric can reduce the swelling at the root of rheumatoid arthritis pain.1 Likewise, the supplemental herb Feverfew is regarded as beneficial for RA patients due to anti-inflammatory properties.2 Our EC Community has contributed even more natural RA treatments below.

[YEA] 08/09/2008: Corrie from Anchorage, Alaska: "re: Rheumatoid Arthritis Remedies: I just had one session of acupuncture with a sefu who lives in the area. It was AMAZING. I feel better than I have in months and he was telling me about problems I have had for years, but hadn't even mentioned to him. I am highly against medication, and I was willing to try pretty much any alternative. I think if I have one or two more sessions with him, I will be completely pain free."Replies
01/20/2010: Val from Anchorage, Alaska replies: "Hi Corrie, I was just diagnosed with RA last week and have been in pain for 6 months now. Can you give me the name of the person you went to for acupuncture to help with your RA? I'd like to explore that option too. Thanks, Val"
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 11/29/2007: Anonymous from USA: "I would like any help I can get from someone who has found relief for RA ( other than prescriptions). Any suggestions would be great. I have tried 2 Tbs AVC-1 tsp honey-1/8 tsp of BS, have been doing this for 2 months, added lemon juice 2 days before the 1st flare and continued with it until the 2nd flar 5 days later so stopped the lemon juice. Stopped taking meds 4 weeks ago and have had 2 flare ups, oddly they are both in the same shoulder and last longer than the 24 hrs.. Never had that happen before, it always moves to another joint. I did find a little info from Ted to someone, so I went and got powdered or granulated MSM, Mag citrate, and sodium ascorbate. Pain is still there but am ablr to move it enough to continue working. I did purchase the castor oil pack but haven't tried yet. Does this work for RA pain? I just wanted you all to know a friend told me of this site, so we both started doing some of these things together. I also have told a people to check out your site. I do alot of what has been suggested here. So far I love every thing I've tried and when I go back to doing other things like using soap...YUCK. makes your skin feel really sticky or it has a film on it. I also find oil pulling very relaxing. Thank you all for your in put and suggestions and really enjoy reading on this site."Replies
03/23/2009: Sharon from NY, NY replies: "Are you still on the site? Hope so. I am treating my RA without drugs. I use hydrologized collaigin, Green barley juice powder, and spirolina. I have used BSM and liked it a lot. But I found that I MUST eliminate foods that cause inflammation before any benefit is stable. When the pain is localized I have found that it is a particlar food that caused that flare, example milk makes my knees swell, rice makes all my joints swell, chocolate gives me a flare in my hands.
Eliminate the foods by going to a simple diet of no grains, milk, citrus fruits, sweets and just eat veggies, beans, fruits, fish and occasional chicken for two weeks. Add back foods you normally eat and watch for reactions. Also if you feel better if you are not eating your regular diet, then that is a clue that there are food sensitivities.
Arthrid powder - 1 scoop
Barley Grass Juice powder - 1/2 teaspoon (slowly work up to a tablespoon or more)
Spirolina Powder 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon
blend in vegetable or fruit juice to eliminate flares, take 1 time a day for health, 2 times a day wit a flare.
EC: BSM = Blackstrap Molasses
05/09/2009: Caitlin from Austin, TX replies: "Nearly everyone I speak with who is over 50 is complaining about shoulder pain so bad that they can't sleep at night from the constant ache. Two years ago I had this bursitis or whatever it is and started eliminating grains predominately from my diet and it began lessoning within a week until, after 2 months the pain was gone. I stuck to fruit, veggies and meat. I've always been addicted to bread - be it spaghetti, pizza, rolls etc. Now that I know have grain/milk protein intolerances I limit these foods to no more than once a week. I initially lost weight but compensated by overeating other foods so I'm handling that problem as well. By the way, this shoulder pain can also be indicative of type 2 diabetes. Also, when fluoride is added to water supplies, doctors begin seeing more elderly patients with joint pain and more joint deterioration. Fluoride is a curse."
09/12/2009: Findemdog1000 from Supply, Nc replies: "Pottasium, - Low sodium v8 16 oz a day (Apple cider vinager has pottasium in it). Also, dead sea salt bath is high in Potassium"
10/13/2010: Nov123is from Edgewood, Nm replies: "I have a question, I have been on the "evolving" rate of RMA for some years, I have done the methotraxate injections, which I choose to do no longer, but Diet is mentioned. I think from what I have found that I follow most the diet, but to make sure, could you please post what diet should consist of for RMA patients? I am currently taking ACV and Fish oil, I did find the fish oil in strong doses totally beneficial, but with winter setting on, it is starting to fail and do not want to go back on the self-injections just to be able to function. Weight is not an issue in this as I am 5'5 and 130 and keep salt to a minimum if at all, I believe it is diet or lacking nutrients thereof. Can you give some advise?"
10/14/2010: Tom from Regina, Sk replies: "Nov123 & ALSO Roni from Tx post also from 14th:
I will attempt to reply to both here on the RA disease portion, since any immune imbalance that can be corrected will also likely help the other problems. First, RA is classed as an autoimmune disease, where the body's own antibodies are found to be attacking "self" cells and tissues.
Here is an overall basic diagram of the entire human immune system, showing the TH1 and TH2 sub-branches over on the left:
First question is when does the immune system not perform at good efficiency and balance, and the answer is 'when the terrain (body and all tissues) are ACIDIC'! So the very condition that allows diseases to invade prevents proper optimal functioning of immunity. That must be made right, back to an alkaline state, otherwise many remedies just won't take.
Best, simplest and cheapest remedy by far for restoring a high= alkaline pH is given by Ted here, under BICARBONATE FORMULA:
On to some RA remedies, French Maritime Pine bark extract aka Pycnogenol, or GSE instead:
When I asked him to elaborate, he told me that he'd never used grape seed extract (GSE) to treat arthritis because he'd never heard of using either GSE or Pycnogenol for arthritis symptoms. Dr. Spreen: 'My comment was due to the fact that, 1) Pycnogenol is expensive, and 2) grape seed extract (much cheaper and more ubiquitous) has been found to supply the same active ingredients. Both are famous for their antioxidant properties. '
Both contain about 40 similar compounds classed as OPCs, by the way as the active ingredients. Dr. Spreen noted that he would recommend 200mg per day of GSE, ...
Next possible nutrient to try for the RA is "ORGANIC GERMANIUM, aka Ge-132":
Note this article is from 1987! It's been quite well researched in Japan. It is very widely available on the net health stores and locally.
Third possibility is plant sterols/sterolins, available generically. Based on the biological activities described above, most studies to date have investigated the ability of plant sterols to control inflammation or induce a shift from a predominantly humoral immune response to a more protective cellular response (i. E. TH2 to TH1 shift)
These supplements take time, 1 to 3 months, and as shown may give only a percentage improvement. There's also possibility #4 niacinamide, widely available and cheap. There is a post under 'Trigger Finger' from OCT 5 on it for arthritis. Dosage is in there, too:
09/16/2013: Tahjah from Seattle replies: "I've found that You are the only treatment. Regiments are easy to keep track of, and easier to claim ineffective, but it's not as easy to acknowledge one's own neglect or power. I didn't finish reading the entire thread, I too enjoy supplementing ACV, BS, Flax Oil, Honey as it feels right. But something that jumped out from me and brought me to respond, is I noticed watching my fluctuating acidity, at a root issue, helped more than almost anything else. Blessings"
10/09/2013: Lulu from Raleigh, North Carolina replies: "I agree with you about specific foods being the cause of certain joints to swell. I have the same reaction as you, my knees swell when I eat dairy. My si joints hurt when I eat starchy foods, such as grains, corn potatoes and some cooked root veggies. My back hurts when I eat honey. I have been able to lower my sedimintation rate to normal and it was 64!!!
Juicing will greatly help RA pain, especially if you can do it for a week, just drink fresh juices."
10/10/2013: Prioris from Fl replies: "For people who have trouble with dairy, I would try raw milk if you can get access to it. Raw milk is very healthy. Many dairy sensitive people have no problems with raw milk. Pasturization destroys all the good things in milk that improve your health."
Apple Cider Vinegar Remedy for Rheumatoid Arthritis
Home Remedy Ingredients:
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 Teaspoons

Usually 1-2 tall glasses of the concoction are all you'll need each day.
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 02/08/2013: So Desperate from Your City, Everywhere: "Hey Guys, You are my last hope. I'm 32 and just diagnosed with RA and I have been doing the ACV thing and it's awesome and I can get out of bed with less and less pain. (I am also on a host of other supplements). This is my 2nd flare and I have run the gammut on the traveling joint pain. That has pretty much subsided except for extreme pain in my middle finger. I also have swelling issues with my right hand eg. base of thumb, pointer became swollen at the same time about 3 wks ago. Today I just noticed that my middle finger looks like it could be in the baby stage of swelling like my pointer finger and I'm scared it's going to swell up. I have been working to get my pointer finger down and now it looks like the middle finger is going to swell along with the pinky. My wrist has a lil swelling also. I have been on this protocol for five days and I realize that is not a long time but I am in the dark right now.
Does ACV get rid of swelling or am I just setting myself up for permanent joint damage? I was on another site and they just kept saying take the drugs, take the drugs! And I don't want take the drugs but I also don't want permenent joint damage, hands that are permanently twisted and lumpy (cause they are a lil lumpy now, a lil) and I also don't want my other organs to get involved. What am I doing? I wouldn't be here this sane and pain free w/o ACV, it has been a miracle worker so far but WILL THE PRE-EXISTENT SWELLING EVER GO DOWN AND WILL NEW SWELLING EVER STOP??? ANYONE OUT THERE, PLEASE RESPOND! I AM ON THE CUSP OF GETTING MEDS AND I DON'T REALLY WANT TO. THANK YOU"Replies
02/09/2013: Kathy from Ontario, Ca replies: "First off... I don't have arthritis... However I know an older woman that does, I don't know if it's RA or not but about a year ago I commented on how lovely her hands were. She proceeded to tell me that her hands were so painful with arthritis and she has massaged them for years to help with the pain and to keep them from getting crooked. What she did/does is massage, squeeze her fingers so they are straight (at the point where they started twisting) and then wraps them with a fabric tape... Not sure what kind maybe the white tape in med supplies. (leaves the tape on for a few hours) She said that has prevented her hands from becomming claws. She also said it is a very painful process."
02/09/2013: Dan Cruz from Edmonton, Alberta replies: "Excessive taking of apple cider vinegar will some day irritate your throat. You can try Omega 3 as this is good for arthritis or RA and also Ezorbs capsule (browse it in the internet)."
10/15/2011: Janine from Melbourne, Vic: "My parents gave me the ACV/water and honey when I was very young as it had been recommended to them as a treatment for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I cannot remember what the results were, however, luckily I grew out of R Arthritis. I did receive other medical treatment.
At 56, I have just started ACV and water again as I suspect there could be Arthritis present, judging from some sore joints in hands. It's like a 'flash back'. I hated it as a kid but now don't mind it and hope to keep my system more alkaline.
I will report any noticable improvement."
[YEA] 11/15/2008: Kurt from Seffner, Florida. USA: "Hello I was diagnosed with RA when I was about 35 years old. Over the last 11 years I've gone from walking and running to barely walking. A little over a month ago I found this site and decided to try the ACV. Now not being able to exercise I gained about 50 some pounds in 11 years. Since I've started taking ACV I have noticed that the RA has lightened up A little, But to be honest I missed a couple days of taking it, while in the hospital. Now normally, I eat pretty well and have had no problem with that. But when they weighed me at the hospital, I found that in the last month I have lost over 30 pounds without even trying. Now I have tried to loss this weight before on diets with no success. Now I'm just starting to notice that I am losing my appetite. So I'm not eating as much now. What a nice side effect to losing the pain of RA. My doctor has been after to lose weight over the last couple of years. Can't wait to see his face and tell him what I've been doing. I think he's gonna be shocked, I know that I was. Thanks Kurt"
[YEA] 10/31/2008: Doris V. from Orland, Ca: "My husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid Arthritis 6 months ago and started on Prescribed Medication then they decided he had high blood pressure and trouble sleeping and that made him depressed so he was given Mood Elevators... More Meds. Now 5 months later on 5 meds and his sholder and wrist still ached bad But doctors told him just keep taking the pills. After taking Apple Cider Vinigar for 2 days he lifted his hand above his head several times after the third day he is moving his wrist that has not moved in a long time. Its been a week and he takes it 3 times a day. He had been bald since his 20's and we are seeing hair growing back. He started on the BSM today and we can't wait to see the results. thank God for web sites like this one. We understand that he is only supposed to take the AC Vinigar for about 2 weeks then stop does anyone know if this is true? When can you start again? He takes 2 teasp of just plain Apple Cider vinegar with a Tea of honey and about 4 to 6 oz. of water (Cold tastes best) Doris"Replies
11/01/2008: JJ from NY replies: "I've never heard of anyone stopping the apple cider vinegar after 2 weeks but maybe its different for RA patients. I have heard about 5 days on, 2 days off each week. This is what I do unless I am sick, then I keep going until I feel better, then stop for a few days."

09/18/2008: Alain from Ottawa, Canada replies: "Hi Joseph, Don't get discouraged. There's hope. Unfiltered, raw Apple Cider Vinegar may work because, among other things, it has potassium. In http://www.vaxa.com/arthritis-potassium.cfm it says:
"Arthritis, Recent Theories and The Affects of Imbalanced pH
Individuals with rheumatoid arthritis have lower cellular potassium content than normal and high plasma copper content. Reports have shown low potassium being the only consistent difference in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Although there has not been a clinical study proving this theory, rheumatoid arthritis should not be present in people who eat vegetables instead of grains. The reason why potassium is often overlooked is probably because potassium is present in almost all foods grown in large quantities.
As most have come to realize, what you eat strongly affects your body. When food is digested, it leaves certain residues that yield either alkaline or acidic potentials of pH. Our body is at a constant struggle to keep our pH balanced. If balance is not achieved through diet then the body will take over by leaching away key minerals such as, calcium, potassium, and sodium from the bones, teeth, and important organs. An imbalanced pH can lead to serious health problems such as weight gain, poor athletic performance, low energy levels, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and premature aging if continuously too acidic or alkaline..."
Here are a few more sites about pH and arthritis:
For a lot more sites, please do
I believe in the pH balance. The concept is similar to that of the body requiring constant internal temperature; the blood must be at an almost constant pH level in order for chemical, bio-chemical, and hormonal reactions to proceed appropriately. The body will do everything to achieve this at the cost of making acidic the lymphatic system and other organs, if the nutrition does not provide for the necessary good nutrition. Like, for example, drinking a lot of soft drinks is terribly acidic. So, proper body's pH balance is a prerequisite for good health.
A we become more acidic, internal organs, body tissues, bones ... will deteriorate. To learn more about the pH balance concept you can go to the following links:
These are just a few of what can be found in the web.
About measuring and monitoring own pH:
To verify if indeed you are acidic I would strongly suggest you to buy pH paper strips. It's cheap and I assure you it will be a good investment.
I had inflammatory problems with my knees and ankle. The best thing I found so far is an alkalizing drink that combines synergetically blackstrap molasses, unfiltered raw apple cider vinegar, pinch of epson salt, kelp powder and pickling lime water. Not only this drink is alkalazing, but, over time, will help in replenishing minerals that were depleted over the years because of acidosis. The full instruction of this drink can be found at http://www.curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1009886#i1 in a forum about pH balance.
More details about the alkalizing drink that synergetically combines minerals (blackstrap molasses, Epson Salt, pickling lime water and kelp powder,) with weak acids (such as Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice) http://www.curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1009886#i1
I hope these can help you. It is a learning journey about how nutrition affects your healths.

[NAY] 09/12/2008: S.B.B from Mthatha, South Africa: "I have been on ACV for 3weeks (2tsp 3 times a day in 1,5 l water) and have found it has not benefited me with my arthritis. I have applied it on my ankle in 50/50 ACV and water solution and it relieved the pain but for 10-15min only!!! My arthritic pain has gone worse. Is this natural in the beginning of taking it? I was diagnosed with sero-negative arthritis 7 months ago and I am university student. I am finding it difficult dealing with this disease. Can anyone help me?"Replies
03/25/2009: Sharon from NY, NY replies: "Hi, sorry to hear you are having a flare and it will not subside. I hope by now you are better. when remedy that should help do not, then you must become the great RA detective and look at foods as the culprit. A food particle leaks through the intestinal wall and the body attacks it as a foreign and produces antibodies. The first time food is eaten or leaks through there is no reaction. The next time antibodies go into action and you have a food sensitivity. But with autoimmune disease antibodies go into overdrive and attack joints. This is why immune suppressing drugs are given. Look up leaky gut on the internet. Antibodies could attack other stuff in the body too.
So my hit list of food include milk, wheat, rye, rice, cashew, pistachio, banana, chocolate. Antibody reaction can come from chemicals as well. Good book is The Autoimmune Epidemic.
Go on a simple diet of fresh and cooked vegetables and fruits fish and beans. I became very fond of soups that I make fresh every day and organic salads. You body will heal but you need to think in terms of creating super health and repairing the immune system.
The ACV should be organic and take 1 tablespoon in water in the A.M. You can get RA under control but dietary changes and super good eating habits are the foundation.
You may want to see an intagrative physician or alternative health practioner for help.
[YEA] 07/29/2007: Barbara from El Paso, USA: "I was diagnosed with RA at the age of 29. I am now 65 and have not had many flare ups until the last few months. Then, it started acting up in my right knee and hip. For almost 2 weeks I could hardly walk without help, and, could not even lie, much left sleep, on my right side. Then, I made a long trip driving my husband's pickup truck. When I returned from the trip, after about 2 days both my wrists hurt so bad I could barely function. I used wrist bands, Arthritis Bengay, I was desperate.
Then I found this site while I was searching for natural cures. I started using ACV, mixed with water and honey, about 2 weeks ago. I have been using the store brand from where I shop, it is 5%. I am totally amazed with the results. Almost NO pain, in my knee, hip or wrists!! I can even sleep on my right side!!
I will take Ted's advice about using the baking soda as I have had a little burning in the tummy, but, it's worth it to be able to sit here and type, lift, move, without pain in my wrists. I have also lost about 5 pounds. My goal there is 15 more. I will continue my ACV regimen, am trying to get my husband to try it and haven't succeeded as of this date. Thank you for this web site!!!"
[YEA] 07/12/2007: Deborah from Denison, TX: "I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis 14 years ago. My grandmother told me about ACV and the many ways it could help arthritis, sleeping problems and stomach problems. I take 1 tbsp. once daily with just water and all of my physicals for the SLE & RA have come back great. I have no deformity in my joints and have not had a flare up in over 7 years. I also had several bleeding ulcers & was having to take daily stool samples to my doctor, but my physical showed scarring but no ulcers. I also use ACV as a toner for my face and my pores are smaller and my age spots are nearly invisible. I have printed out several pages of literature on ACV and have over 20 friends on this daily regimen and all of them can tell the difference and have been taken off their medications for their illnesses from arthritis to high blood pressure & cholesterol. I am a 48 year old grandmother that works with a younger market and I work circles around all of them. ACV helped me with my SLE, RA, Ulcers, Chronic Fatigue, Crohn's Disease and IBS. I had a sister die from SLE and normal life expectancy is 10 years and I am going on 15 years after my diagnosis."Replies

05/06/2011: Diamond from Salisbury, Ma.usa replies: "Rain Ra; Please be sure of your blood count, such as low blood, anemia or is taking iron pills. If you decide to take ACV take very small amounts in your favorite juice, start out once a day. Wait to see how your feeling etc. Go by what your body is feeling, better? or worse? then you will be able to decide. Our bodies tell us when its not well or starting to get weaker, etc. , many signs out there we all need to watch for/listen to. Keep us informed ok? good luck"
[YEA] 04/26/2007: Elle from Concord, New Hampshire: "I was diagnosed with Rhumathoid Arthritis at 11. At 18 (and it a lot of pain) I was given a book on curing arthritis naturally and set about doing it. One of the main proponents of the book was Apple Cider Vinegar. I took a cocktail of 2 teaspoons ACV, 1 teaspoon honey and 8 oz hot water twice a day. Within 2 or 3 weeks the flareups had ceased. It should be noted I also cut back on red meat and citric acids (they are everywhere!)which I discovered were a major trigger for me. And I took epsom salt baths twice a week. When I went back to my dr and had blood tests done my RA factor was down to a 2. (I have no idea what it was before but I am pretty sure 2 is almost nothing!) That was 25 years ago. I still have RA technically but I rarely have a problem with it. The first inkling I get that its sneaking back up on me I go back to the ACV. I still avoid my trigger food which have come to include, believe it or not, green beans. I believe trigger foods are different for everyone - only you can figure out what they are. I have not been on meds or seen a rhumatologist (sp?) in all that time. Thank god for ACV. Only for it I would be a cripple now instead of living the very full life that I do. I have to say that it makes me so mad that there is a very simple cure for RA and the medical world is not out there shouting about it. So many people suffer needlessly with this disease. If you have RA you owe it to yourself to go out there and find out what works for you. Find your triggers, try ACV, read all you can on natural cures. There is no magic pill - but there is a way and its all in your own hands. Goodluck and Good Health."Replies

[YEA] 01/03/2007: Susan from Tampa, FL: "2 tsp honey, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar in 8 to 16 ounces of water 3 times a day cured my arthritis, back pain and allergies. I was in so much pain for many many years with severe back problems, and then 2 years ago was diagnosed with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The dr. prescribed steroids, and 2 different immuno suppresant drugs and the side effects were horrible. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning, my joints and muscles hurt so bad, i also have fibromyalgia. I started this regimen about a month ago and saw immediate results. My hay fever has cleared up also. My sinuses are dry, usually I always have a bad post nasal drip problem. I feel more energized, and my body just feels good, like it is getting what it needs."

05/29/2012: Daniel W. from Lake Hill, Ny replies: "Question: Why do we take (raw) honey with the ACV? My system is very sensitive to sugar of all types and will flare up if I have even a little bit. That said, I'm willing to accept that the honey works in conjunction with the ACV somehow, but I'd like to know HOW. I have been diluting the ACV in just water for a while now, and I get some benefit, but the pain and inflammation is definitely still there.
I'm tentatively starting to add 1/3tsp of raw honey to each ACV drink (2 Tbsp of ACV to 2 cups water). We shall see how that goes.
Also, does it have to be warm water? It's hot here, and an iced ACV drink sure is refreshing!"
02/02/2014: Judy from Nh replies: "You don't have to take it with honey. The honey is to help the ACV drink taste better, though if any sweetener is used, it should be honey, as honey has an alkaline reaction in the body like ACV. Warm water helps to dissolve the honey. The drink taken cold is fine -- and, as you say, is refreshing."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 07/30/2011: Mebeingme from Sarasota, Fl, Usa: "I've been taking Apple Cider Vinegar &bs for 7 days now Three days ago I started one of my worst flares of RA ever. Is this to be expected and do I need to stop or is this a "good" sign?
08/01/2011: Gavin from Manganui, Northland, New Zealand replies: "In an old book called "secrets of the wardmaster"the author claims that a RA flare up is easily contained by taking baking soda untill the ears ring.. And then go to bed and sleep it off. When you awake the attck should be over."
[NAY] 08/23/2007: Crystal from Mount Vernon, Indiana: "I am 29 and have been diagnosed with severe RA. I was diagnosed bout 2 years ago. I am trying the ACV remedy. I have been taking 2 TBLS of ACV with a 1/4 tsp baking soda for about 2 weeks now. I have not had any results as of this time. I was just wondering if it should have shown some kinda change in pain or weight loss by now. I also tried the ACV soak on my wrist, it helped for maybe 10 minutes. I'm getting discouraged about using the ACV. I am considering not using the ACV anymore."Replies
