Mold and Black Mold Exposure: Q&A

MOLD EXPOSURE IN THAILAND

11/23/2012: L from Thailand: "Hi Ted, I have noticed mould growing on the ceiling. I also noticed some kind of white mould on the wall in my sleeping room. I am not sure what to do. What would you recommend me to do? Should i leave Thailand altogether? Am i risking something by having more and more exposure? What can i do to feel better? I was reading about some supplementals i might just try to take but i don't think i will be able to get Vitamin B here, or H2O2 - unless i travel back to Bangkok which is quite a trip. Should i try to get any of these? Is the black mould actually dangerous to me or is it just the allergic reaction? Where do we go without being exposed to any of these "biotoxins"?"

01/20/2013: Robertn from New York, New York replies: "Ted, I was just wondering, since N acetyl cysteine helps remove heavy metals out of the body, would that affect me and the copper and zinc that I am taking to rid my body of a fungus? Should I take them at the same time or different times?"

11/29/2012: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Here are some answers:

1.) What would you recommend me to do? Should i leave Thailand altogether? Am i risking something by having more and more exposure?

First you have to know how to get rid of the mold, such as using ammonium chloride, urea, sodium thiosulfate, or hydrochloric acid. Preferably ammonium chloride and/or ammonium chloride should be used in a sprayer, such as 5 to 10% solution is what I usually use.

2.) What can i do to feel better?

Easy, get rid of them. The preferred method is sodium thiosulfate or urea applied topically, urea or sodium thiosulfate or hydrogen peroxide 0.5% can also be taken. A solution of 10% sodium thiosulfate applied to the face should bring a quick relief to the issue.

3.) Is the black mould actually dangerous to me or is it just the allergic reaction?

Most people are allergic to different degrees dictated by their diets, but black molds cause cancer from aflatoxins, so generally it is best to get rid of it. Diets that help are high in copper, zinc, protein, vitamin C, and B3 niacinamide as a start. Lysine and N acetyl cysteine really help, and especially sea salt really helps nasal drips in 5 minutes, taken at 1 teaspoon with a cup of water, although for the general un-allergic people, it is 1/4 teaspoon per liter of water.

And finally, we need to control our environments, the problem of today is we are too ignorant. Look at Encyclopedia Britannica 1911 edition and people know a lot more back then compared to today.

IS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR SAFE TO USE IF I'VE TESTED POSITIVE FOR ALL MOLD ALLERGIES?

02/13/2012: Becky from Athens, Al, Usa: "I have recently had increased allergy and asthma symptoms after several years of little problems. I started drinking ACV to see if it would help. I can tell that I felt better overall and had more energy, but have not had much relief for my allergies. I recently had allergy testing, and one of the major categories I tested positive for was all types of molds. I'm wondering if it's safe to drink the ACV with the mold allergy or if I could actually be making it worse. Would the ACV contain any molds since its made through a distillation process? I've read conflicting info on it & am not sure what to do, so any advice you have would be appreciated. Thank you!"

LIFETIME OF RESPIRATORY ISSUES

12/18/2011: Anonymous from Europe: "Dear Ted, I am 31 year old female and I am of very bad health. I have a 6 month old baby and a husband who is helping out with the baby. I have very many serious conditions, and I am afraid that I will die leaving my son with my husband who is emotionally damaged after my long sickness. I am sorry to disturb you, I know how busy you are, but I posted several times on earth clinic and got some really nice replies, but I still keep getting sicker, so I am desperate for help.... I will try to explain it well: as a kid I suffered from lung inflammation (pneumonia) 4 times and had chronic bronchitis. I had my tonsils removed due to constant infections. My parents were smokers and smoked inside and my mum is always cold, so we never had windows open, ever. That also meant mold, which was always present during winter. Summers were ok when we went to Croatia and sea side, I was most healthy then. When the war in Bosnia begun, we fled to Sweden and in Sweden I felt very good and had no health problems except for when I got a cold, my cough was veery bad. I also started to smoke and smoked for some 15 years of my life. When I got pregnant I was in Bosnia where my husband lives, so I stayed there. However, the central heating on the top floor of a flat-roof building that leaked together with drying clothes inside the house resulted in mold in 2 rooms during pregnancy. I grew up in mold, nobody even said it could be dangerous. I developed a horrible cough and my stomach started to hurt. I started bleeding in the 4 month of pregnancy due to low placenta and stayed on bed rest for couple of months. 2 months of the bed rest I was lying in the mold infested room, then the coughing begun. We had nowhere to go, so we stayed. It got worse and worse, so I in the end went to a hotel, but stayed only one night, and when I came back I started coughing blood. I thought I would die, I was in so much pain. My blood pressure was 75/45 and my pulse 130 while resting (still is!) . I was dizzy for months after and very weak with low immunity. Also a bit low on iron.

We had people cleaning the mold and painting with thermo resistant paint and bought an ionizer, which helped. We went to sweden to give birth, and I felt ok, except for horrible back pain. The back pain begun during early pregnancy when I had bedrest on a two seat sofa, since we could not use the bed which was mold infested. The sofa was bad quality and too short for me and I was very heavy too. Anyway, I went to sweden and I felt ok except when there was too much dust or smoke somewhere. I had very bad ocd during late pregnancy, and I could be horribly aggressive, sometimes I felt like I hated my husband and back then I didn´t... I would hit doors, hit him, scream and I just hated myself and my life. But my lungs were fine. When we went back to Bosnia we bought a car that had mold in it and we did not know. Also my husband had not cleaned the vacuum cleaner which was used to clear up the previous mold so I opened it and inhaled concentrated mold. Since then my life is hell. I am more aggressive then ever, I fantasize about suicide because I have sinus infection and congested throat which is driving me crazy, I get breathless fast and I forget things. It was worst during those months after we came back, because I felt like the hell begun again. I can not breath if somebody smokes and in Bosnia everybody smokes. Also exhausters make me go crazy, I get chest pains, can´t breath and I become aggressive, and want to kill someone.

We went back to Sweden, but then the apartment we were in also had mold in the ventilation. I purchased air filter, but still felt sick. I also begun having serious chest pains, I am not sure if it comes from the breasts or heart or lungs. My back is so bad, so I have slept on the floor for 6 months, bed is out of question. I feel smog even through the windows and cannot breath, so I have to change room. I sleep in the toilet now, I do not fell like a good mother, I can not take care of my child. I found out I had lung fungus and that my inner heart chamber had been damaged due to fungus. Also I have very painful joints and especially knees. Moreover, I hurt myself alot by hitting my head when i feel anxiety. I especially do that when my husband tells me he hates me or I can´t take care of my child or when I feel a smell that makes me breathless. My blood shows that I cannot digest food well and that there is fibrinic threads in the blood which indicated that my blood coagulates and clotts. Also there is some cholesterol although I eat almost nothing bad, no sugar, nothing. Also, it says there is not enough oxygen in my blood. There is also a lot of candida in my blood, as well as tons of free radicals and heavy metals. I have 2 amalgam fillings, and one is in a decayed tooth that had a part of it falling off when I started oil pulling. I have a psoriasis on my right ankle after oil pulling. I have tons of pimples coming out, so maybe that is a detox sign. I take a lot of remedies i have read about, but I am getting tired of not getting any real results. virgin coconut oil raised my pulse ( or I think it did, I stopped in few months ago and still the pulse is high...).

I am chronically tired and guess I have MCS or hyposmia, but for instance i am not bothered by baby diaper, only exhausts, new furniture, detergent, some parfumes, cigarettes and such. It is a very difficult life when everybody smokes. The blood also showed a huge huge stress level and the doctor said it could kill me if I continue, but my husband always yells at me calling me names and making me cry and stress although he knows it can kill me, but I cannot be without him because I am not capable of taking care of myself and my baby, and also I love him and hope he can be like before and stop hating me if I get healthy... Now we took another new apartment in Bosnia but they came with new furniture Do you think I can be heathy? Doctors do not seem to think so, and keep prescribing antibiotics and I hear that predison is standard prescription for fungi. I will not take that, as a child I got pencilins and antibiotics and was always always sick. Is there hope Ted? Please, please help me get my life back!! You are my only hope."

01/11/2012: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The mold is the major problem for lung problems, but you will be helped by getting B3 niacinamide 10% mixed into the sprays into the lungs like an inhaler. The B3 500 mg niacinamide will help the anxiety attacks also but taken at night, or whenever there is an anxiety attack, but can be taken light doses such as 500 mg x 4 throughout the day to calm things down. The other that has helped is lugol's iodine 5 drops for anxiety, fungus, and coughs too.

The best way to kill the fungus in the blood or help significantly is food grade H2O2 3% one to two capsule per liter of water, and drink say 1/2 glass every 30 minutes and you should be better after the 2 to 4 dose.

The back pain is caused by a deficiency in magnesium, and the best magnesium is magnesium chloride (or at least magnesium citrate) if it is saturated magnesium chloride solution it is taken at 10 drops before meals, twice a day should help detox with lessening of constipation also and help the back pain within 3 or 4 days.

Alkalization may help such as 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 30 minutes after meals twice a day, is a beginning to help oxygenate the blood. The one thing I noticed is humic acid solution 3%, if mixed at 1 capfuls per liter will help the immune system within a day or two.

These are the basic remedies you need to try first.

MOLD AND SINUS INFECTIONS

04/16/2008: Jonathan from Toronto, Canada: "i have yet to try any of these remedies.. just looking for a location in toronto canada? So i can speak with a Doctor and find out which on of these remedies would work best for me? If not i can try until i find whhich one works best..

Im a young man who has never sufferd from any allergies, until recently moving into a basement appartment only to discover large amounts of mould on the wood framing in the celing. although the symptoms didn't start till about 6 to7 months within moving so perhaps the cause of the sinus infection may be somthing else. my occupation is a chef and was told by a doctor that this was the cause do to to smoke & grease coming off the stove top, but i've been doing this for a long time, can't see that being the reason..

He gave me medication, it was only a quick fix for the moment..

Rather then go back to my doctor i would like to seek out natural cures and advice, since i've always felt that meds only make things worse..

I also was on allergy pills for pain and brathing relife, and notice my mucous had in fact turned a yellow brownish colour, not knowing that the pills were only making it worse until reading one of your links..

If you can help in any way or even guide me to a natural doctor in toronto that would be great..

Thank you..."

MOLD AND FUNGUS IN THE BODY

04/10/2008: S : "Hello ed, I am new to the site but have been enjoying very much all the information provided by you and the feedback and contributions of the other posters. I thank you for me and all of them who learn and benefit. I also have a question....about mold/fungus in the body. There is not too much on the site about it and I want to be sure I get all the possible cures. I suspect I have some in my own body because of an odor coming from my head....ughh...that smells like old water....even though I may be showered etc. I cannot live with this, and I suspect it's from the environment as I eat very well. I live in Florida for 10 years and the house I'm living in has mold outside and we have to constantly have to pressure clean but it still grows due to rains moisture etc.

A couple of days ago when we pressure cleaned my roommate who has bad sinuses as a norm....and doesn't not like to help himself......got much worse and feels very sick. I asked if I could find a remedy to help clear it up would he take it and he said yes. I made an oil with the essential oil list to be applied and we will see. I am using it too. But I'd like something to remove the odor from my head and for my roommate. Can you recommend something ? "

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear S: Much of the recent sickness and my own surveys of food intolerance test that U.S. have today has a lot to do with the fungus /mold issue, that can resulted in candida, sinus, IBS, acid reflux, rhinitis, chronic fatigue, etc. If a person happens to reside in a moldy house for a long length of time, certain toxins in the fungus becomes cancerous. One of those toxins that accumulates in the body is called acetaldehyde, and is made much worse with aspartame products found in many sugar free xylitol, diet Coke, Coke Zero, Pepsi max, diet Pepsi etc. Both does nerve damage. Basically acetaldehyde, but mostly formaldehyde (from the aspartame) burns the nerves and suppresses the immune system. The three remedies that I have actually tested so far that has worked very well and has to be used together to work the best is baking soda, boron, and molybdenum. All three of these are antifungal. Sugar, sweet foods, vegetable oils, mushrooms, all fruits (fructose and corn syrup), honey, yogurt, table salt, milk, tomatoes wheat and cheese make the fungus inside our body much worse and should at least be avoided whenever we are sick. To reduce the environmental molds inside the house, and I DO IT MYSELF, since the area I lived in is highly polluted and has very high fungal count. Fungus would just literally fall into my bathroom sink everyday. So this is the thing I deal with almost everyday. The pump spray bottle I used is a 5% ammonium chloride solution, plus washing soda 3% (usually Arm & Hammer it), and 1% borax. If I can get sodium molybdate cheap, I might add that too. Xylitol added also helps in preventing fungus from attaching tiself, but that's optional too. In case I want to be simple about everything, then a 5% ammonium chloride plus 1 or 2% borax solution and spray all over the house is very helpful to disinfect the walls, ceilings, floors, bed, clothes, table, kitchen sink, bathroom areas, etc. A heavy duty ammonia cleaner is the best fungus disinfectant there is, the brand I used, when I first came to U.S. and I was only 6 years old, was the Bo-Peep ammonia cleaner, but try to avoid the smell and try to mixed them quickly in a water solution as a floor cleaner is what I did. That's another possibility. Hydrogen peroxide solution won't have a lasting protection against fungus if we compare to ammonium chloride, ammonium bicarbonate, so if I cannot find ammonium chloride, I might try ammonium bicarbonate also. I prefer to add some sodium carbonate if at all possible as it causes free ammonia to kill off the fungus. I have recently gotten myself purposely sick and try to get fungus to persists in causing the sniffles and breathing problem to test a theory of mine that molydbenum is an important element in reducing breathing problem, sinus and phlegm, and found that while baking soda and borax remedy did help, it was the molybdenum also taken together that completely stopped the sinus problem and breathing problems, and a colds that never go away were very much due to the fungus issue. The reason why molybdenum works is it detoxifies fungus toxins, acetaldehyde by converting into acetic acid. Acetaldehyde, along with other aldehyde perfumes, found in detergents, and disinfectants tend to accumulate in our body over the lifetime and the body has no means of getting rid of it. So the remedy I have used to reverse this condition was 25 mg of sodium molybdate, taken for about a week or two, along with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glas s of water twice a day, plus ocassional 1/8 teaspoon of borax in one liter of drinking water. Vitamin C sodium ascorbate was helpful, but its effect takes a while longer to kill the fungus which needs about 1 month or more to remove most of the fungus in the body, but I find molybdenum, baking soda and borax to be most helpful. Copper chloride solution of 1-2% as a fungus disinfectant are helpful, but the problems about such use is the staining issue. Same is true for the use of tannic acid. So what I have left is the ammonium chloride and ammonium bicarbonate as the most feasible one which also has a residual effect in further killing the moldy atmosphere. While I have read that chromium chloride, and other things, such as sodium silicate were helpful in fungus situation, they don't work nearly as well, in the short-term or its immediate effect on killing off fungus, or at least prevent them from growing. Long term fungus in the house also leads to skin problems, and burns on the skin, as well as cataract (fungus leaves some sort of glycation on the lens from the acetaldehyde) also. Once a person got this inside the system, the sickness can last a very long time even after they have moved out of the house that is moldy. The traditional approach of removing fungus from the roof tops, at least it is MY traditional method is a solution of Clorox bleach sprayed on the roof tops to remove the molds on the house roof exterior, but inside the house, I don't like the use of clorox because of the bleaching effect it has on the colors of the clothes and people are generally allergic to chlorine bleach mostly from the smell. Long term use causes the fibers of the cotton to turn to dust or looses its strenght and tears off easily. There was one house where the entire family lived in a moldy house for 20 years, where one had cancer of the ovaries, another had cancer of the brain, and yet another had chronic fatigue. Despite moving out of the house for 2 years, the sickness persists. Therefore the mold issue should be generally be tackled by removing the molds, avoiding certain fungus foods (mushfroom, yeast food, sugar, as mentioned) and the molybdenum/borax and baking soda remedies."

03/24/2012: Kate from London, Uk replies: "Ted, can I just check that's 25mg of sodium molybdate, not 2.5mg? Over on the Linus Pauling site they state that about 1.5 is fine, but the sorts of doses you're describing might be toxic:

HOW TO APPLY AND USE BORAX

07/28/2007: M from Texas: "Ted, Thank you so much for your response! It amazes me that you make so much time to help others with your knowledge & expertise. I was curious about trying the Borax, and am going to try & purchase today. I am a little apprehensive using it as far as how much I'm supposed to use and how to apply it. Would I apply it to my scalp or would I drink it internally? Or both? I'm guessing I'll only be able to find the 20 mules Borax they sell at Target & wal-mart so could you please tell me how to go about doing this. Would really like to try it starting today and nip this stuff in the bud. I think I have been having success w/the ACV & baking soda. Amazingly, I don't seem to need to take much, only 2 tbsp. once a day. I tried more and my stools got pretty loose & yesterday I was right on at 7.0 only taking it once. Probably b/c I'm pretty small right now. I have been working w/a medical intuitive who believes I have had hidden copper, so have been on a protocol to get rid of it w/zinc & molybdenum & other stuff. Did you say Borax or ACV actually helps to rid your body of heavy metals as well? Or does maintaining a certain ph do that? I was under the impression you had to take a whole bunch of garbage to get heavy metals out, but that's probably just people trying to sell more stuff. Anyways, thank you for all your help. I know you must be incredibly busy, and I really appreciate your reponse!"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Would I apply it to my scalp or would I drink it internally?

I would likely to do the external application first for a couple of weeks. If not just maybe once a week one pinch of borax (1/16 teaspoon) in a liter of water (since our body needs boron anyway.

don't seem to need to take much, only 2 tbsp. once a day.

Actually the maximum general dose (not the optimum) is 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day. If you taken 2 teaspoon that could be quite close to getting a loose stool.

Loose stools may cause diarrhea, but if you dilute enough of those in water, the concentration will reduce and the diarrhea don't happen. For example if 2 teaspoon that appears to be closer to 1/2 glass = 1/2, which means a 2 teaspoon will be diluted in 2 glasses of water (it's four times the dose or 4 x 1/2 = 2). "

HELP NEEDED

07/22/2007: M from Texas: "Hi Ted, I have been exploring Earthclinic for a month or so now and am extremely impressed by the suggestions/feedback you give. I have been experimenting with some of your suggested remedies, but have come to a standstill and was hoping if I give you a little background you may have some suggestions. I will try to be short, but that may be tricky... I have been pretty healthy most of my life up to about Oct. 05 when I began having diarrhea, weight loss, fatigue, insomnia, depression, etc. It took a couple months for doctors to determine I had a parasite, which was treating with a conventional antiparasitic Yodoxin. That stuff was bad news and made me feel worse! I stabilized for a bit in Jan, but then my symptoms began coming back with the diarrhea, fatigue, bad insomnia, and it began to be coupled with memory/concentration problems. I started to feel like a moron, so scatterbrained. I even went on medical leave for 2 months last fall cause I just felt incapacitated. After the Yodoxin scare and doctors telling me everything was in my head and putting me on drugs like Prevacid, sleeping pills, antidepressants, I got fed up and decided to try things naturally. Went to herbalists, homeopaths, chiropractors, etc. I suspected Candida and did the strict diet for a month, but I am 5'8 and by this point was about 118 or so, and not liking being that skinny. I have since been eating healthy eating meats, fruits, vegetables, and eating gluten free. I haven't been drinking alcohol/caffeine for almost a year. A few months ago something told me my apartment may have contributed to my illness as it is an old place and had leaks that went unfixed for some time before I became sick. I moved out as an experiment and sure enough began to feel better. The place did indeed have mold and by the time I have moved my stuff out it was so gross mold was growing on shoes in my closet and the stench was disgusting. I have been still feeling much better compared to where I was last year, my sleep, energy, concentration, digestion are definitely improved. But there are some things that came along with the illness that don't seem to be changing. I always had beautiful, smooth clear skin my whole life, and along the way my skin began having problems. Started with a few nasty zits, but for almost a year now I have had bumps on my chin, around my mouth, cheeks, and on the skin in front of my ears. They are really weird, not traditional pimples, they are almost skin color, but whiter, and when squeezed white stuff comes out of them quite easily. There are also parts of my skin that feel really dry as well (around nose and in between eyebrows). I have been trying apple cider vinegar applied topically (and sometimes coconut oil) and have just started taking it internally for a couple weeks now. It has seemed to help somewhat, but very little. Doctors of course wanted to treat this with antibiotics or acne meds and I have tried proactive and other acne meds, but I don't know if what I have really is acne. I also have bad dark circles around my eyes. The other very frustrating thing, probably more so than the skin is hair loss. It has been going on since this ordeal began, but has gotten to the point where I feel like I will become bald. I already had fine hair to begin with and every day I see more and more hair come out in the shower, on my comb, on the sink, my pillow and I don't know what to do. My scalp also has felt very dry/flaky/crusty, so I tried you remedy of lavender/tea tree oil on the scalp. It has helped the dryness/crustiness and at first it seemed to work for the hair loss and I was so relieved and started imagining what it would be like to grow all my hair back. But after a week or so it was at it again. Maybe I was just imagining the improvement. So I began taking Manganese like you said each day until the hair loss stopped. I have taken that for 1-2 weeks and still no dice. I have also tried ACV on my scalp at times, and ACV internally hoping that would stop it. I just don't get how now that I'm out of that toxic environment and am supporting my body with so many beneficial things that my body isn't getting back to normal. What do you think may be going on? What do you suggest I do for the hair loss/skin problems, and just healing my body in general (please be specific about dosages, I can be a little OCD). I will do whatever you suggest, as it's obvious you know your stuff. I just want to be healthy again, put this ordeal behind me once and for all,and get on with my life! I am sorry this is so long!! I would really GREATLY appreciate your help! Thank you"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "What do you suggest I do for the hair loss/skin problems, and just healing my body in general (please be specific about dosages, I can be a little OCD).

Vitamin C sodium ascorbate 1000 mg/day for 5 days out of a week is synergistic with manganese. Also manganese is best taken on an empty stomach.

The toxic environment in the body as a result of moldy living conditions previously takes a long time to remove that from the body. However, shampooing with borax offers a better solution than the lavender and tea tree because the boron in general are anti-fungal.

It is most important I think to achieve a urinary pH of 7 so that the body can best get rid of the fungus and the heavy metals that go along with it.

The lightness of weight, is quite often an indication of lack of vitamin B complex, along with magnesium which is synergistic. A relatively unknown antioxidants of copper, zinc, and molybdenum are important. But the trick is which ones. In general most people seem to be low on molybdenum (besides the mentioned manganese) and the zinc.

The problem about taking manganese is the assumed increase in manganese, which is not always true. Usually it is best taken on an empty stomach and the tablets should be grounded to a powder then mixed with water.

I have seen many times of mothers of autistic children spending years trying to raise magnesium and zinc levels only to find out that they are low, after measuring with hair mineral analysis. Upon taking those in a powdered form, the children responded well, which of course is NOT taken everyday, but only 4 or 5 days out of a week whenever anyone takes a supplements for most of the conditions, which includes hair loss.

Therefore, getting a hair mineral analysis may help determine which minerals are a problem, since it is quite difficult to determine whether the body lacks copper or is it in excess. Most people seem to have nonexistent molybdenum, which protectst the body against candida or fungus growth. There are certain parasites that may exists that might have piggybacked with another parasites when a medication is taken, where one died, and another one continue to exists. The only way I can know if that's the case, is for me to take 1/8 (a woman's dose, if I were a woman!) of borax in 1 liter of water, for 1-3 days and see. If it works, then a weekly dose for a month or two should generally be enough, but then, on the otherhand, I may underestimated the extent of the problems also and may take a bit longer. However, one thing for sure: some improvement should be seen before the week is out.

What I do know is whenever fungus exists or living in moldy environments the body tends to buildup certain heavy metals, the body becomes acid, the liver becomes congested, the bowels might be constipated, and the immune systems become suppressed. Those can generally be helped at least if ACV and baking soda is not working, to at least I think a whole freshly squeezed lime (about 8 teaspoon) mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda taken twice a day once in the morning and once before bedtime, on an empty stomach.

What is most important for me after all those were considered is to take enough baking soda (with lemon or citric acid) where the urinary pH (using a cheap pocket pH meter) is close to 7.0 or usually between 6.5-7.0. A simpler remedy, if ACV isn't working is 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day. If the urinary pH is not going high enough more dose or frequency is added to get there.

In general, I can't assume the manganese level has risen, but we can powdered them, take them on an empty stomach, when mixed with water as well as taking vitamin C to increase the body's utilization of copper, iron and manganese absorption.

Usually if weakness or tiredness then B12 and B complex (twice a week), and vitamin E (when needed) will often help.

But at this stage, I would probably avoid drinking faucet water for a least a week or two and see what other pollution is causing the problem and just get a good spring mineral water.

Sometimes it's the chlorinated and fluoridated water that we shower, sometimes it's the fact that the body's magnetic field is not properly aligned with earth magnetic field (bed pointing North or South) and sometimes its those electronic devices near our head, that's causing the problem and should be 4 meters away at least. It's difficult to tell what the cause is, but what I can say is the less the pollution, whether they be electromagnetic, chemical, microbes, fungus, bacteria, fast food or monosodium glutamate the better. Everything is always a suspect when you are sick the only way is what Sherlock Holmes does, process of elimination. Hope this helps!"
