03/01/2011: Shaun from Stuttgart, Germany replies: "For the longest time I had no idea what these things were on my knuckles... I always assumed they were calluses or warts, but I was never clear on what they really were. I have a total of 4 (one on my left hand [fore finger], and 3 on my right hand [fore, middle and ring fingers]). I'm 26 and I've had these things since I was 10 or so. They never really bothered me as far as discomfort goes, and I can recall only a few times when someone has noticed them.
Anyway, I've always been meaning to treat them but had no idea where to start. Once I read your post calling them "knuckle pads" I immediately researched online on what they were, and it seems that the majority of what I read regards them as like an engorged wart.
I am going to experiment tonight with banana peels. I've have tremendous luck using bananas with warts, so why not try with the pads? I'm going to put it on the loner on my left hand overnight and see what the results are tomorrow morning.
I will post whether this was a major success or a major bust. If banana peels don't work then I'm going to go for broke and use Apple Cider Vinegar. If that doesn't work, then I'm all out of ideas.
Will post soon with (hopefully good) results!"
