OLIVE OIL AND LEMON JUICE READER FEEDBACK

[MAYBE]  01/16/2007: Drew writes: "O.K whattup peoples? If you wanna get rid of your kidney stones, let me show you how. First you try the lemon juice and olive oil for about 2 to 3 days, after that mix 2/12 ounces of lemon juice with only a little water, follow with a whole bottle of water. Do that every 2 to 3 hours but make sure you drink one bottle of water an hour. The goal is to drink 10 bottles per day, AND you'll start to see that your urine is cloudy and sandy like so if you see that, that means it's working. The lemon juice helps break down the stones,,it worked for me cause I had a stone on each side and I've done it for about a week now and I just got back from the hospital an hour ago and my doctor told me that I got only one stone left and the other one is almost in my bladder ready to pass....the remedy works but make sure you drink the lemon juice and water until your brain turns into a lemon.(STOCK UP ON LEMON JUICE AND WATER CAUSE YOU'LL NEED IT)!!!!!"

[YEA]  01/15/2007: Michelle from Carlsbad, CA writes: "I tried the Lemon Juice and Olive Oil remedy this weekend. THe stone has been there for a year now and finally decided to move this weekend, so pain pills were not doing the trick, so i tried the Lemon Juice and olive oil remedy..It totally helps!!!! I took it after a big dinner and it just sat in my stomach but the pain was gone and i was able to sleep. The next morning i got pain again so i drank it again, on an empty stomach. Don't do that. I felt sick the whole day, pain was gone but sick to my stomach. And i feel 100xs better today still a bit sore, but nothing like what i would be feeling like. So try it!! But take it with food makes a big difference."

[MAYBE]  01/12/2007: Shane from Des Moines, Iowa writes: "I am 38 years old and am going on two weeks with my first kidney stone. And, like others have stated, the pain has been unbearable. When I read the comments on the olive oil/lemon juice remedy, I thought the passing was pure coincidence. My stepfather often said about headaches: If I take aspirin, they go away. If I don't take aspirin, they go away. I wondered if the same was true with kidney stones. About 12 hours ago, I thought I would give it a try. No stones have passed yet, but it did seem to stop the pain (coincidence?). I suffered through some pain today at work and did not have the remedy. Will try again tonight if the pain hits. Meanwhile, I am hoping for the stone to pass. Question for those with multiple stones. My pain has been on the right hand side of my body and a cat scan confirmed the stone. I don't have pain on that side any longer. It may have passed; I don't know. But now I have pain on the left side only. Would it be another stone?"

[MAYBE]  01/11/2007: Drew from Chicago, IL writes: "Wasssup peoples, to those that have kidney stones or had them should know about the agonizing pain. One day I was at work and all of the sudden I felt a sharp pain in my lower left side of my back and then the next day the right side was hurting like hell.I didn't know what to do. I went to see a kidney specialist and he told me that I had kidney stones and that scared the living daylights out of me.For about the next two years or so I dealt with the pain It kept me in and out of work so I just couldn't take it no more.So I 've browsed almost every site about kidney stones(this was 1/10/07) and found this site. At first I was like yeah right so I just figured might as well try something since I don't have insurance.tried the lemon juice and olive oil about 9:30a.m 1/10/07,about half an hour later the pain was gone!!!!.I was surprised but still aint passed the damn stone yet.I've took about three doses in one day and it still aint passed but my urine looked kind of grainy. So it's 01/11/07 took another dose at 9:00 this morning hoping to pass the thing, but I know one thing the pain is gone for now.Somebody wish me luck!!"

[MAYBE]  12/28/2006: Monica from Ocala, FL writes: "Okay, so I went to the doctor cause I was in major pain all day Christmas and they think it was a Kidney stone, I have never had one before but they run in my family, I went searching yesterday afternoon looking for a Home remedy and I came upon this site, I figured what the heck, let me try it before they do all those invasive tests at the hospital. So I get home and I am a little nervous about trying it because so many people said it tasted horrible, but I had to do it, bottoms up. It did not taste too bad to me but I have a strong stomach. I was fine for a while and then about 2 hours later I had to fight the urge to vomit, I usually can keep myself calm enough not to, then I slowly started to feel better, I felt a few little pains in my Kidney through the night but no where near what I had been feeling. I got up this morning, very tired cause I did not sleep too well last night but I have only had a couple little minor flutters in my Kidney and that was this morning, no pain at all now. I am truly AMAZED! I am also so glad I found this site. I have not passed the Stone that I know of but If I do you can be sure that I will be back here to tell about it!! Good luck everyone!"

[NAY]  12/14/2006: Andrew from Bergen County, NJ writes: "I tried this mixture of lemon juice & olive oil to alleviate the pain and possibly help pass my stone. Aside from repeating the taste of olive oil continuously for about eight hours, it also made me quite sick to my stomach. I fought off several attempts to heave the whole thing back up. After enduring an entire night of non-stop stomach turbulence, I was rewarded with a very good case of the runs. Not an overall pleasant experience, and more than 34 hours later I still have my stone. Oh, and the pain that evening was later controlled by tylenol with codeine."

[YEA]  11/30/2006: Aurelie from Toronto, Ontario writes: "Hi! all, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and 9 days ago I was admitted to the hospital with an excruciating in my left flank. I was told I had a 4mm kidney stone. Being pregnant, my husband and I were quite worried about the Tylenol 3 I had been prescribed and worried about how the whole ordeal could affect our baby! As luck would have it, I found your website, and drank the olive oil/lemon juice mix and about 12 hours later, I was peeing little grain of sand and the pain had diminished. 3 days later I drank the mix again thinking the stone would still be in my kidney, and the next morning the pain had vanished. That same day, I was schedule for my second ultrasound, and they checked to see where the stone was located, and it had literally vanished from my system!! Thank Goodness as my baby is one and didn't have to take any pain killers or go through agonizing pain... Don't hesitate to try, it's drinkable, it's natural and it works!! Cheers"

Thanks to Cyndi for posting this cure. I love this site!"

[YEA]  11/24/2006: John from Longview, TX writes: "So far, pain from kidney stones is gone thank God and thanks to this page. First off...thank God for this page! In January, 2006, I was at work and became incapacitated due to lumbar and flank pain. I was sweating profusely, and skin was cold to the touch. It was one of the worst pains I had ever experienced. It was so bad, I was taken to the local ER by my wife. A KUB film (ie kidney, urinary bladder x-ray)and CT of the abdomen revealed 3 kidney stones, an 8mm in the left kidney, and two 4 mm in the right. Extracorporeal lithotripsy was indicated, but I didn't have thirty or forty grand to spend on it. This began an ordeal for about 10 months plus, in which some days were ok, and some days I had to stay on heavy duty pain pills to function. But, things took a turn for the worse. The pain was daily now, and getting worse. It became almost impossible to stand up to wash the dishes at home. Then, in desperation, I started Googling for possible remedies. I found this page, and at first blush, I thought, what good will lemon juice and olive oil do? After all, I reasoned that my stones were composed of Calcium Oxalate, and would not dissolve in acid urine. But, when disabling pain is the only alternative, you try anything, so I sent my wife to get some olive oil and lemonade. They were out of the cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, so she got the house brand. She got the lemon juice from concentrate. I mixed up the brew and chugged it down fast, followed by a glass of water. Surprisingly, it did not taste that bad. The next morning, I got out of bed early...dreading the pain in the left lower abdomen and low back. It didn't appear! I waited nervously the rest of the day. Nothing. At the end of the day, I took another dose for good measure. I haven't been aware that I have passed the stones, but the absence of disabling pain is such a Godsend, I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be able to get up early again and do my chores and enjoy life. I am sharing this remedy and site with patients, friends, and family. Again, thank you so much."

[YEA]  11/17/2006: Suzan from Memphis, TN writes: "Kidney stone passed within 11 hours of taking the lemon juice/olive oil remedy! Thank you for posting this very valuable information. I searched the web when a friend said he thought he had kidney stones again (prev. had kidney stones 7 yrs. ago). He recognized the symptoms - nausea, vomiting, chills/fever, severe lower back pain. A trip to the ER confirmed what he had thought - yes, kidney stones. After leaving the ER with a RX for pain medication, my friend took the home remedy & called me today (11 hours later) & said he passed the stone!!!! This is such valuable info! I urge anyone reading this to try it for kidney stones!!"

[YEA]  11/06/2006: Lolly from Ohio writes: "Had two SWL shock treatments and stent for kidney stone. Neither worked. Tried olive oil and lemon juice followed by glass of water. Exactly 25 hours later, my stone came out. I really doubted this would work when I read it on your website, but I thought, it certainly couldn't hurt. I was headed for a uteroscopy to have it removed next week. Thank goodness I won't have to have this done. My doctor won't believe me when I tell him. Thank you for all of your inputs."

[NAY]  11/04/2006: Mike from Townsville, QLD, Australia writes: "When in pain, people will have a go at just about any remedy to eliminate it. A lthough the idea of taking 2 oz of olive oil and equivalent of freshly squeezed lemon juice didn't appeal to me but after reading the positive responses it sounded like the fix I was after. I presently have a 6 mm kidney stone blocking one ureter which has been well and truly stuck for 2 weeks. I have had them before but the last was in the early 1980s. Living in the tropics (and the southern hemisphere) the onset of each tropical summer usually results in dehydration and an increase in the reporting of kidney stones. I'm a casualty. After each kidney stone attack the stone is only moving fractions of a inch and causing significant bleeding with the result that for half a day afterwards my urine is practically pure blood and then blood clots. Not sure how serious this is, as a nose bleed can look pretty horrendous with blood loss and it is certainly not too much to worry about. CAT scans and x-rays have shown that the stone is hardly moving at all and the next step will be some sort of intervention to eliminate it. As a last hope of avoiding this I have been searching for remedies. I took the mixture of olive oil and lemon juice for 3 nights in a row right before going to bed. Although feeling extreme nausea I managed to keep the concoction down through the night. By the fourth morning I had had enough. I didn't appear to do anything. I didn't really understand how this remedy was going to work giving that it was likely to acidify the bodily fluids and make things worst. The use of olive oil also escapes me, certainly wouldn't act as a lubricant at the level of the urinary tract. As other comments have noted, although there are different chemical composition of kidney stones, the previous ones I had were calcium based and the best approach for these is to alkalize ones bodily fluids, not acidify them. So I am onto sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) at a dose of 3.5 g, dissolved in a glass of water, three times a day. I haven't had an attach for 3 days now and the urine is very cloudy, which I suppose could indicate that stones might be dissolving. The jury is still out. As for the olive oil and lemon juice - it didn't work for me. When in pain, people will have a go at just about any remedy to eliminate it. [YEA]  11/03/2006: Paula from La Crosse, WI writes: "I had heard of this after my last bout with a stone. When I started having pain last night, I googled again for the oil/lemon stuff and came to this site. I sent my husband to the store to get the olive oil and lemon juice. I took it (gross) and about 15 min later still having pain I decided to take a hot shower. --I can't believe people do not recommend that more for the pain. It always gives me instant relief at least for a while. Now a hot pad never worked, but a wet hot rag worked. The hot showers are the best. I believe the moist heat allows the ureter to expand a little. About 15 minutes after that, I went to the bathroom. Not seeing anything, I almost flushed the toilet. Then I saw the stone. It was totally white, Blended right in with the toilet. Maybe that is why people have not seen the stone. They are always dark like a stone and easy to see. I took it out and it broke in two and crumbled and was mushy in my hand. I couldn't believe it. Through the night I felt like crap chills/ sweats/ nausea/ headache and even during the day today. Not sure if it is related or I just ended up with a bug at the same time. Even if these bug symptoms were related to it, I would still recommend it. I just couldn't believe it did that to the stone. It must also be doing it to the many stones still in my kidneys. I just hope these other symptoms go away by tomorrow. Thanks much"

[YEA]  10/26/2006: Barb from Michigan writes: "Two days ago, I tried the lemon juice and olive oil, about 2:30 in the afternoon . After I took it I drank lots of water. I did not have much pain just a gnawing uneasy feeling in the back area. The next day I continued with water. Today at 1:30 in the afternoon, Guess what???, a stone came out! I collected it and it crumbled easily, I guess the lemon juice did it's thing! I will be doing the Lemon Juice thing every few weeks . Tonight before Bed, I will do it again, just in case there are more. WOW, it worked!!"

[MAYBE]  10/24/2006: Andrew from Virginia Beach, VA writes: "I had a significant decline on the intensity of the pain that I've suffered for the last 4 days since the initial shock of kidney stones. The stone hasn't passed in 24 hours, but the relief of not having agonizing pain was worth the trial! I went from using prescription Tylox to over-the-counter Motrin for pain relief. It felt as though this mixture expedited the travel of the stone. I would recommend this solution as it is safe, inexpensive and effective. Strangely I was watching a cooking show that used these two ingredients to make a simple salad dressing!"

[YEA]  10/17/2006: Nancy from Doniphan, MO writes: "I am soooo thankful I came across your website. I have been dealing with a 4mm kidney stone since first part of Sept. Finally had a xray a few days ago and determine it. IT was in the tube and trying to go into the bladder. Dr. wanted to do what they normally do because he said it was to big to past on my own BUT I was willing to try anything. And praise the LORD the lemon juice and olive oil worked (2oz.lemon juice and 2oz. olive oil). I took a dose on Monday night the 16th and took one when I got up this morning and then this evening and at 7:30 I passed the thing. Thank you Lord!!! : ) I truly believe God lead me to your site and I'm sooo thankful again that it worked for me. God bless!"

[MAYBE]  10/12/2006: Dwayne from Christiansburg, VA writes: "Olive oil & Lemon Juice cured: Kidney stones? Inconclusive but it sure eased my back pain! I was passing a stone prior to trying this remedy but I do have an overall positive impression on this remedy just for this 'side-affect' alone.

Taking topamax for migraines which is also a diuretic [sp?] that can cause kidney stones... which, it has. :( After a late night battle with my first I found this 'cure' & thought I would give it a try.

FYI - I also have mild/moderate rheumatoid arthritis which causes me back & neck pain so it's not so easy to tell where the kidney pain begins & the back pain ends given that both are gradual onset. (The kidney stone wasn't "gradual onset" - I can tell ya that! [8*0 ... Gradual to leave, yes. Gradual in onset, NO. :( )

There wasn't any call for a particular type of olive oil so I grabbed the cheapest type - Extra Virgin so if there is some distinction to be made it should be mentioned. Mixing this stuff up well with the lemon juice makes it "ok" to drink if you just gulp it right down. Especially once you've survived a stone passing and keep in mind that this is to prevent a recurrence. It doesn't taste THAT bad and isn't hard on your stomach. I ate some bread afterward to help it 'lay still' in my stomach which might help those with queasy stomachs or delicate digestive tracts. (There was no real problems on the way out either with too soft of stool, which I was worried about given the big gulp of oil. This is not mentioned above so I mention it here.)

The next day I only noticed two things, one was an aroma of olive oil and once, maybe twice a very, VERY slight -'ping'- sensation like something had dropped in my urinary tract but when I rushed to the bathroom I couldn't see anything when I urinated. Urine was clear and no way to really tell if there were more stones. No further pain or other indication.

The thing I've noticed is that my back pain seems to have reduced dramatically. There was some noticeable pain associated with the kidney area and I am quite sure that there are issues associate with my medication and kidney stones. This remedy seems to ease my neck & middle back pain as well although it may be coincidental - just because of the medication affecting my kidneys and the subsequent kidney pain radiating outward that makes me feel miserable all over."

[NAY]  10/09/2006: Mary from Key West, FL writes: "The olive oil and lemon juice didn't work at all. I was really hoping with all my heart it would work. I drank the vile liquid and nothing changed. A KUB showed my stone was still in the same place, (right above the bladder) as it was before. I go in in 2 days to have it surgically removed. I'm tired of playing around with this stone."
