Dissolve Kidney Stones
"Kidney stones, also called renal calculi, are solid concretions (crystal aggregations) of dissolved minerals in urine; calculi typically form inside the kidneys or bladder. The terms nephrolithiasis and urolithiasis refer to the presence of calculi in the kidneys and urinary tract, respectively.
Renal calculi can vary in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body by passage in the urine stream, and many stones are formed and passed without causing symptoms. If stones grow to sufficient size before passage - on the order of at least 2-3 millimeters - they can cause obstruction of the ureter. The resulting obstruction with dilation or stretching of the upper ureter and renal pelvis as well as spasm of muscle, trying to move the stone, can cause severe episodic pain, most commonly felt in the flank, lower abdomen and groin (a condition called renal colic). Renal colic can be associated with nausea and vomiting due to the embryological association of the kidneys with the intestinal tract. Hematuria (bloody urine) is commonly present due to damage to the lining of the urinary tract." (Wikipedia)

#1 REMEDY: LEMON JUICE AND OLIVE OIL
01/07/2006: Cyndi from Durham, NC writes, "I have suffered intermittently from kidney stones for nearly 9 years. One was so bad I had to have surgery to remove it. Later, my grandmother was hospitalized with a kidney stone and told me about a home remedy given to her by a nurse and believe me, this really works! Mix 2 oz of olive oil and 2 oz of lemon juice, drink it straight down and follow with a large glass of water at the first sign of stone pain. The stone(s) will pass within 24 hours. I have eliminated at least 8 stones with this remedy and have not gone back to the urologist since I started taking this."

I had 3 large ones and Dr was set to blast them.Did a Cat Scan to locate them and was shocked to find them gone. He gave God the credit but I did drink lots of water and took 20 4 times a day of Alfalfa. Had read that someone else had done this and it worked for them. It worked for me too. For the bleeding I had in my first experience I have learned that Magnesium relieves that. I drank lots of water too. It cured 3 stones that the doctor described as bigger than a 50 cent piece. I really like the idea of the lemon juice and olive oil. But I tried that and like others it did not work for me. But appreciated knowing this to share with others that might find it works for them."

P.S. I just remembered that I also used acv for dissolving calcification of kidney stones. Of course he wanted to schedule me for surgery go up in me to retreive these stones in a basket type apporatise and $1500.00 later I would be ok. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, LEMON JUICE
05/12/2009: Thomas from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma writes: "APPLE CIDER VINEGAR and LEMON JUICE
I found myself on the site wanting help for kidney stones. I ended up in the ER 10 days ago with lower back pains, throwing up etc. The pain lasted for about 4 hours before making myself go the ER.
Upon seeing a Dr and having a cat scan it was found that I had a 2 mm Kidney Stone. Stayed in the ER several hours with the DR giving me Morphine, Demerol etc..
Since leaving the ER the pain has not been as bad but have been having on and off pains in the lower back. Like with most people I was given a strainer to catch the stone.
So, not wanting to go threw the above pain again I decided to try some home remedies.
After reading post on this site about how some people had results in a matter of mins or hours I decided to try it.
Approximately 3 hours ago I took 2 ounces of Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 ounces of Lemon Juice.
I must say it was the nastiest stuff I have ever tasted in my life. It took me approx one hour of fighting with myself not to throw up. "Would recommend keeping some type of mint candy around to get the taste out of your mouth.
No change with anything as of yet. I will update as time goes on and let everyone have a true insight into my results with this home remedy"
05/19/2009: Scott from San Pedro, California replies: "So how did things turn out? Did it work?"
[NAY] 06/01/2009: Thomas from Oklahoma City, OK replies: "OK, update on my first post. I still have not passed my stone. I went a couple of week with zero pain. This weekend it started up again. Just praying it will pass soon. I did talk with a Doctor about APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, LEMON JUICE. I was advised by the MD that there are numerous types of kidney stones and that APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, LEMON JUICE does one on one of the types of kidney stones. However, the bad news is the one type it does work on is the rarest type of kidney stones and very very very few people have that type. So, for me it does not work."
10/25/2009: Joanystar from Studio City, Ca replies: "You don't drink lemon juice mixed with vinegar. You drink olive oil mixed with lemon juice. Or, drink Apple cider vinegar with a glass of warm water. Read the posts of the people who did this with success. You may get it to work."

09/08/2009: Dr. Dan from Charlottesville, Va replies: "It is impossible for a kidney stone to pass through stool unless the person involved was built like a bird and has a cloacae. The human urinary and fecal systems are completely separate and in no way connected."
09/08/2009: Philip from Dearing, Ga replies: "To Dr. Dan. With all do respect, Alfred never said it was kidney stones passed. If you look at the start of his post, it says Kidney stones/Gall-stones. He actually just says this is easier than through the urinary tract. So I am pretty sure he is speaking of Gall stones, which are probably liver stones."
09/09/2009: Robert Henry from Ten Mile, Tn Usa replies: "Kidney stones pass out the urinary tract and Gall and Liver stones pass out the digestive tract. We do a liver flush twice a year following a 10 day liver and lymph detox. The first year it was stones, but is just small gravel since. Apple juice for a week prior to the lemon and olive oil for both a kidney and liver flush. Our anti aging doctor wants us to do the 10 day liver and lymph detox four times a year, but I can just stand so much broccoli."

I'm still not sure why this one is not getting out there to the people as quick as it should, since it is such a fast and reliable fix. So, I would like to suggest Banaba Tea.(crepe myrtle) I buy mine from the overseas, though I have seen herbal shops online in the US carry it as well. Japan, the Phillipines, and others primarily use it for diabetes control. I guess that because that is such a big deal, they tend to forget what it originally was used for by people and that was kidney stone relief and other kidney ailments. It's fast thank goodness! Not only do I use it, but many friends and family also. It's much better than the regretfull look doctors give you as they hand you pain pills and pat you on the back to say good luck when they send you home to pass one the old fashion way!
Shockingly enough, not only does it dissolve the problem stone but anyone that was sent home with a strainer will be shocked at just how much other potential stone minerals they had in their kidneys as well, when they begin seeing what looks like clumps of wet sugar in their strainer!
One word though, some care does have to be taken on where you buy it from. I have tried to save some money before and ended up with tea that did nothing for me.
Thanks, Melissa"

1 BETTER BUT NOT CURED
09/27/2009: Bill from Malden, Mo writes: "Someone calling into a recent medical health show mentioned "chunk-a-pietra" [spelling???] as a curative to dissolve all types of stones in the body. Does anyone know what this is, or the correct spelling? thanks."
EC: Hi Bill, it's called Chanca Piedra, aka Phyllanthus Niruri. We already have feedback about this herb on the site.
More info on Wikepedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phyllanthus_niruri
Extracts of this herb have shown promise in treating a wide range of human diseases. Some of the medicinal properties suggested by numerous preclinical trials are anti-hepatotoxic, anti-lithic, anti-hypertensive, anti-HIV and anti-hepatitis B.[1][2] However, human trials are yet to show efficacy against Hepatitis B virus. [3]
The plant has long been used in Brazil as an herbal remedy for Kidney stones. Reseach among sufferers of Kidney stones has shown that, while intake of Phyllanthus niruri didn't lead to a significant difference in either stone voiding or pain levels, it may reduce urinary calcium, a contributing factor to stone growth.[4] In addition, one study conducted on rats showed that an aqueous solution of Phyllanthus niruri may inhibit kidney stone growth and formation in animals who already have stones.[5]
09/27/2009: Kathy from Dubois, Pa replies: "For everyone's information, kidney stones are composed of 4 different types of material: uric acid stones, calcium oxalate stones, cystine stones and struvite stones."

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 04/21/2009: Aicha from Bedford, Beds UK writes: "I am a first time sufferer of kidney stones. My problem started at end of January. I was diagnosed with a kidney stone in my left kidney. My consultant after checking my scan again, then wrote to me to tell me i had in fact another stone also in my utherer. I have gone through hell to say the least the most pain of which semed to be coming from the "stent" and the continuous infections and always bleeding every time i passed urine. I have other medical conditions so used to dealing with pain and so have a very high pain threshold but this has truly been unbearable. I have been hospitalized 3 times so far! Recently someone mentioned chancy piedra so i rushed to order online and at the same time also saw this website for the first time.
This morning I have taken 3 cups of chancy piedra so far (and also the lemon juice and olive oil method for good measure). It is too soon to say whether i will pass the stones etc but i know one thing already..the excruciating pain i have suffered since end of January has actually gone for the first time!
My surgery is scheduled for tommorrow to remove the stone from my utherer and when i recover from the surgery i have been told i will need at least 2 lots of lithotripsy to remove the other stone as it is so big...
I wish i had seen this several weeks ago and i am 100% sure if i continue to take the piedra i will not need the lithotripsy...Have had so much time off work already and of course i will need another 4-6 weeks to recover from the op..There has been so much wasted time and all the hospital does is give you painkillers and antibiotics which in the end stopped working. I ended up having to take morphine as the pain was so bad!...I also suffered from acid reflux/reflux disease which developed into barratts esophegus so i will also be trying the aloe vera and also magnesium..Many thanks to all readers for their immensely helpful comments."
04/23/2009: Aicha from Bedford, Beds UK replies: "I have just had my surgery (yesterday) which was successful but the amazing thing is my consultant, during surgery, tried to locate my other extremely large stone in my kidney but couldnt find it.. I have a scan scheduled for 2 weeks time to make sure it has gone so needless to say, i will continue to take the piedra ...will keep readers posted as to the final outcome..."
05/30/2009: Connie from Manila, Philippines replies: "where to buy the chancy piedra? what is this medicine made of? thanks"
11/10/2009: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Connie...I live in Ilocos Sur in the Philippines and Chanca piedra grows like a weed in my area. Just go to Google Image and search for "chanca piedra" or "Phyllanthus niruri" and the images will show you what plant to look for.
Chanca piedra is also used widely in Ayurvedic medicine and is sold at Indian Deli stores in Manila. In Manila, if you go down United Nations Ave away from Roxas Bld you will come to the Unilever building on your left. Directly opposite is a line of Indian stores including Agad which sells Indian spices. At one of the other delis there I have bought two prepared indian condiments -- called Triphala and Caywanprash. Both contain chanca piedra. These condiments are both prepared in the natural ayurvedic way, with no chemical processing and no use of preservatives, colourings etc. You normally take just a spoonful or two a day of the Triphala or Chaywanprash and is regarded as beneficial food in India."

If you have suffered repeated episodes of renal calculi buildup and passing kidney stones, it is advisable that you have your doctor run a simple blood test for hyperparathyroidism, an until recently little known condition that causes high blood calcium and a myriad of other symptoms including, but not limited to, depression, hypertension, loss of energy and interest, short temper, and even emotional instability. Many people suffer from this condition and do not know it, and many doctors are still unaware of it."

06/24/2008: Elaine from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA writes: "I see many of the folks in the Kidney stones area are reocurring sufferers. Some of them should ask their doctors to check them for Hyperparathyroid. You have four to six small rice size glands that sit close to the thyroid. These glands regulate calcium in the blood. Primay hyperparathyroid is caused by a tumor. Secondary hyperparathyroid is caused by a lack of vitamin D. Ask your physician to check your PTH (parathyroid hormone) and blood calcium. Sometimes you have to have a tumor removed and sometims all you need is extra vitamin D."

10/02/2009: Gypsy85 from Coolidge, Tx/USA replies: "About 4 years ago I started having kidney stones. My blood calcium was out of wack. After the surgery my PTH levels returned to normal with the other 3 gland going back on line (so to speak). The doctors kept monitoring me for stones and until last Wednesday (09/24/2009) I had not suffered an attack for two years. X-rays had been clear for over a year. I have not had a chance to try some of the remedies yet but will be doing so in the hope of dissolving the one blocking my left kidney. Doctors put a stent in on 09/28/2009. Thanks for the information and suggestions."

EC: Each bottle of coke has 43g of sugar, so you're talking about 258g of sugar flooding the system -- dangerous!!!

On a couple of occasions on the way to the hospital to get a pain killer, knowing what was ahead of me I was drinking water and then I discovered a can of coke in the car, it was fluid so down it went. Some one told me that the acid in the coke would help relax the kidney muscle and make it easier for the stone to pass. In this case the stone passed. A ct scan recently showed multiple stones so I finally took one in last week to get analyzed to see what type it is."

Prepare otherwise in the same way you would for the olive oil flush.
Instead of drinking the olive oil/lemon whatever combo (I tried one that included garlic) do the following:
Into your blender put
1/4 to 1/2 cup unrefined virgin coconut oil
1 or 2 peeled bananas
2 to 4 whole organic lemons - cut them into slices/chunks, leave the skin and all on
Blend it all together
Add some water to make it drinkable"
EC: Warning!
Drinking that much coconut oil might make someone very, very sick. While it is said that a therapeutic dosage of coconut oil is 3 to 4 tablespoons a day, side effects are typically experienced at the 1 teaspoon dosage!!
