<title>INCREASING WATER CONSUMPTION</title>

Almost two months ago I had a knee injury. I'm 26 years old and a few days after I noticed swelling and bubbles on my right index finger (most used joint in my body since I'm a computer user). I discovered I had gout initially and, as a believer in natural healing, I researched this and was lead to ACV. After several days of ACV I noticed the bubbles went away but the swelling remained. It would would rise and shrink over time with the continued intake of ACV (&gt;~2 TBSP a day), and it began spreading to other joints.

I tried milk of magnesia, as suggested in the Bursitis section, and that didn't show any improvement either. But it led me to this discovery: when I am dehydrated the swelling gets worse. It was especially bad when I wake up the morning (since we lose a lot of water during sleep this made sense). I remember someone telling me once something about a sudden increase in water intake having an effect on the body. And thats what I decided to try.

I began taking 1-2 cups of water over 15 minutes (or less) every 2 hours. The results were astonishing: within a few hours 60% of the swelling had disappeared. And now, after 2 days of excessive water intake most of joints are 95% healthy and my index finger is still at about 80% and getting better. My joints feel great and I feel my knee injury is doing so much better.

My recommendations to anyone suffering from joint pains are: - if you're taking in a lot of salt, make sure you drink sufficient water to flush your system out. Those salts might end up in your joints and further progress bursitis. - drink sufficient water to offset the effects of caffeine (especially in coffee and pop). - drink a lot of water in the morning and before going to bed (1-2liters).

The water will cause you to visit the bathroom more frequently, but a small price to pay for healing stiff joints. Life was unbearable with aching joints, and being young and active I just don't know how people do it. Thank God I did not have to resort to poisons (chemical drugs).

I can't imagine a more heathy diet and reasonable supplementation. I rotate foods and supplementation. I have no pain with this. I have for many years off and on again finger numbeness and blockages, due to having done massage for over 30 years, but quit massage work 15 years ago. I don't think I have missed anything you have mentioned. I am also a hypnotist, so I think I will use my self hypnosis and "talking" to my Inner Physician, and not put too much attention to it since there is no pain involved.

Please would someone answer this question ASAP.

I have been using organic ACV with the mother, dosage at 1 tbsp to about 10 ozs alkaline water with 1 tbsp of unsulphered organic molasses in the morning on an empty stomach and then the same again, 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar 10 ozs alkaline water only 1 tsp of raw honey late at night just before bed. Been doing this for a few weeks, nearly finished my second 32 oz bottle. Taken a couple of 2 day breaks from the ACV, but not done that for about 2 weeks now.

I am now every day waking up with achy joints, usually the hips and maybe the feet, the odd twinge in ths shoulders, but never the knees, plus just feeling achy, at times all over during the day.

I drink a lot of commercially "made" alkaline water during the day plus some herbal tea made with alkaline water. I started doing the ACV because after I had tennis/computer elbow for a few months, which has now complete healed, my left elbow began getting stiff and achy. The elbow aching has largely gone, but some stiffness/pain is still there, but it's slightly reduced after the ACV and other natural remedies. Like magnesium oil. I have just obtained some quality Oil of Wild Oregano for inflammation.

I have had a very ocasional touch of gout, just really one bad attack several years ago when I started on an rx BP medicine, but now it seems to only come on once a year in mid December, when it first gets really cold here. Copious amounts of water seem to get rid of it, and mercifully I have found ACV seems to instantly stop any attack. Cherries don't work for me.

I fully realise that the uric acid and calcified deposits etc have built up over the years. I check my urine during the day with PH strips. The achy joints in the morning seems to coincide with more acidic urine @ 6.0/6.2. And this slowly gets more alkaline - usually back up to 6.8/7.0 during the day as I drink the alkaline water ... And after the ACV drink. But the achiness comes and goes all day.

MY QUESTION IS THIS ... Should I endure the achiness for a while longer, as the ACV leaches out the years of deposits, or should I take a break for a day or more every week? Or should I dilute the ACV a bit more? I'd rather not take the baking soda because of the high salt content. My BP is completely normal with the BP pills with not even a hint of any side effects.

My elbow, the reason I started with ACV, is still stiff. BUT obviously I don't want to damage my joints using ACV. I have read many "testimonials" and other posts on EC and other sites, but very few seem to explicitly cover this area. I obviously understand that everyone's biochemistry is different, and that the leaching out takes a while. I also take krill oil capsules late at night too, which is the best time to maximise the effects.

I understand there is NO "set period" to be free of this, but normally after the ACV leaches out the deposits one is supposed to feel much better - right?

Does one usually need to persevere over a few weeks, or can it take months for some people? No one ever seems to be specific about this on the web sites. You usually just read, it worked for me - or not.

I first felt a looseness in my right hip 8 years ago while on an ellyptical machine. It felt like my hip came out of the socket, then back in.

A G.P. Dr. laughed, said a dislocation was impossible-concluded I had arthritis and prescribed lots of painkillers and said to wait "til I was a bit older (I was 44) to get a hip replacement! I ignored him-but soon developed issues with my left hip also. Then-4 years ago both hips completely cramped/seized up-and I began using a cane-and doing almost nothing due to the pain and weakness. After lots of wasted visits to chiro's, acupuncturists etc. I discovered an egoscue therapist last year-who observed that both my femurs were rotated to 4 and 8 oclock rather than pointing straight at 12 oclock. Many of my muscles (glutes etc.) had ceased to function properly-and my hip flexors were shortened into permanent tension.

After six months-I am close to straightened out-but still experience severe pain after a therapy session-and am still dealing with weakened muscles-although I can now walk without a cane-after only about 50 yards I cramp up, have pain and need to sit and rest-I have a lot of cracking etc. still-I assume from loose/lax ligaments. Do you have any suggestions to eliminate/reduce pain, develop strength, tighten ligaments/hip etc?

Ok, I've finally gotten up the nerve to make a post on EC. I stumbled across EC in my desparation to relieve a really bad flare up of joint pain &amp; inflammation a couple of months ago and I haven't had my nose out of this site much since! I started with adding a splash of ACV to my drinking water (I try to get my 8 glasses a day). Thought it can't hurt to try it. Was really surprised at how much relief it provided. Don't think I'll ever be without it now. Wish I had some idea what causes these flare ups. I suspect food allergies and have eliminated things like wheat and corn. I don't have what I call 'stressers' in my diet because I don't have processed food, don't eat out unless we're on vacation. Been pretty much a health nut my whole life. I enjoy cooking. Have one meal a day that is raw food, the rest consist of grains, nuts, fruits &amp; vegies, organic chicken, fresh eggs and raw milk cheeses and well I think you get the picture. Really don't understand why I have the health problems that I do and I have a host of problems. I'll spare you the details on these till another time. For now though, I think every 'body' needs a little ACV daily! Good health to YOU!

It made me feel young again, except for my shoulder. However, I found it to be too expensive for me, so when I read about ACV on this website, I decided to try it. I only take 1 tablespoon a day with a glass of water, but that is enough for my joints to feel ok. Sometimes I add 1/4 t. baking soda, esp. if I feel like I'm "coming down" with something. Then I might make a tonic of a couple of tablespoons ACV, lemon joice, and honey, mixed in a mug of hot water. Every week I skip a day or two, as that was recommended somewhere on here.

Since December I have been taking a teaspoon in the morning and another in the afternoon. I sort of cup my tongue and place a teaspoonful there and then take a swig of water or coke or anything else I have and swallow both together. My objective here is to try to keep the straight ACV off my teeth and off my throat. ACV has been a total failure for weight loss but a miracle in curing my joint pain. It used to be so painful for me to stand up after sitting in front of a computer screen for 20 minutes. Now I can sit for a couple hours with no pain upon rising from a chair. (It works much better than MSM without the side effects and doesn't cost $30 a month.) I use Trader Joe's brand.

I also have iron-like toenails that require all my strength to cut them. It is hereditary I think as my mother has the same problem. I soak my feet in a solution of 2 or 3 parts water to one part white vinegar. This vinegar is about $2 for a gallon and lasts a long time. It doesn't matter what kind you use, buy the cheapest. Soak your feet in this solution for 10-20 minutes, then trim. We were amazed, you will be too.

Tramadol has helped more than any other medication but users should be aware that it affects one's autonomic breathing and I have woken up unable to breathe in or out. This is probably when I have taken doses too close together. Anyway, other than Tramadol, nothing has helped my arthritis pain UNTIL I tried Hyaluronic Acid, in combination with Glucosamine/Chondroitin tablets. They say take 2 HA capsules, 100 mg. each, per day for 10 days and then drop off to 1 capsule a day. This dosage had no affect on my pain. I now take 5 HA capsules, 100 mg. each, and two Glucosamine tablets, 1.5 g each. My Glucosamine formulation also contains Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium, 1.2 g per tablet.

I had crippling rheumatoid arthritis in 1985, where all the joints in my right arm were locked up and would not move. I was in constant, horrible pain and got no sleep for over 3 months. I began drinking extremely dilute amounts of the 35% HP DROPS in PURE WATER (NOT Tap Water!!)I also had candida albicans, and my cholesterol level was 465 as tested by my MD friend. Within 1 week the pain in my joints on my right arm was GONE and I was sleeping like a baby! Within one month I had free range of motion in all joints--from my fingers to my shoulder. My cholesterol was down to 289 and the candida symptoms were greatly reduced. By the end of the second month, my cholesterol was 155 (normal and safe) and all symptoms of candida albicans infestation were GONE. That was 28 YEARS ago, and I have had NO reoccurances of any of the above problems. I call that a "CURE!"

H2O2 amounts taken: Begin first day with ONE DROP H2O2 in 8 oz. PURE WATER. Second day: two drops H2O2. Third day: three drops H2O2...and so on until you reach 10 drops per day. Now, if the taste is too bad, split the HP drops into 5 in the morning, and 5 in the evening--near bed time. Work back taking 10 drops twice a day, THEN split it into THIRDS, AND begin taking 7 drops THREE times a day, or whatever you can handle. Slowly work back up to taking 10 drops THREE times a day. Don't go much higher than that, or you might want to stay at 7 drops, three times a day. Let your body determine your amount.

ALSO, do NOT drink any H2O2 water 45 minutes BEFORE OR AFTER EATING A MEAL OR TAKING SUPPLIMENTS! You may throw up (vomit.)

ALSO, take 500 mg. of Vitamin C once a day to neutralize any free radical formations that may have occured. The oxygen in the H2O2 attacks the iron in the blood and causes that reaction. The Vitamin C will clean it up, and Selenium may also be substituted for the Vitamin C.

MY SKIN CANCER (Melanoma) "erased" with topical application of 35% Food Grade HP: I had several dark mole-like formations on my forearms come up after being out in the Texas sun a lot. They itched, and my doctor friend said they were Melanomas and that I should see a professional about them. I knew what HP would do for them, so I took a nail file and GENTLY abraded the surface of these dark bumps, and then I applied straight 35% Food Grade HP to the spots with a Q-Tip (cotton swab on a stick) UNTIL THEY TURNED WHITE IN COLOR. I did this 3 times a day for a week. By the end of the week, they had turned to powder or dust, and were FLAT and GONE! There was no itching, NO pain, and they left a slightly lightened spot on my arm where they used to be. They never came back again, and that was over 20 YEARS ago!

ARTHRITIS IN MY KNEES: 17 years ago, I developed rhumatoid arthritis in both knees. I began the HP method by washing my knees with soap and water to remove any body oil, then MISTED them with a 3% solution of HP that was diluted down from 35% Food Grade HP (12:1) with PURE WATER. I wore shorts and then misted my knees, then waited until they were dry, then misted them again while I watched Television or did Computer work. I did this for at least 30 minutes at a time, and I did 4 HP misting sessions a day. My knees were back to NORMAL WITH NO PAIN in ONE WEEK!! I was so happy! I told my friends who had similar problems, and they said that they tried SOAKING their finger and elbow joints in 3% Food Grade HP by pouring the 3% HP solution into a shallow bowl and soaking them for 30 minutes 3-4 times a day. When finished, they would pour the 3% HP solution back into a one gallon plastic jug. The last soaking, they put it in the refrigerator for safe keeping overnight. The next day, they would remove the HP jug from the refrigerator and let it sit out until it had warmed to room temperature, then use in in the bowl to soak their joints until the evening. Worked great!! If you make up one gallon of 3% solution and keep it in the refrigerator, it should last at least one month before you need to make another gallon of it.
