Have just finished reading an old book on molasses and it contains not only most minerals our body needs but also all Vit.B complex properties and it is B2 to stop graying hair. Extremely beneficial for good health.

I have been coloring my gray hair for over 20 years. Decided to stop and try something natural. I went with the 1 Tb. molasses and 1 Tb. brewers yeast twice a day. Started about a month ago and not much change. I read that you need copper and my brewers yeast did not have copper in it. I changed to a different brand that had copper and now I am seeing more and more brown hair. I never would have believed it if I wasn't seeing if for myself. I am 52 years old and started getting some gray in my hair while still in my early 20s.

It works.

No..no..no. all you need is chlorophyll!! Ive been coloring../highlighting my hair for several years. Im in my late 50s. But I've also been into healthy eating. I always knew chlorophyll was a good thing. About 3 or more months ago I faithfully began drinking chlorophyll everyday. I drink bottled water at all day...which means I pretty much drink chlorophyll all day long as I add it to my water. I swear everytime I drink the stuff..I feel like my skin is tightening up..strange but true. I don't crave sweets, no more constipation, not always hungry...and the best thing of all that I noticed this morning is my hair! I had it colored with blonde highlights (i am brunette) on July 7th. So I have almost an inch of new growth which is about 95% dark...usually I can easily see the grey! I cannot believe it...it has to be the chlorophyll! I've recently..about 2 weeks ago added Biotin to my herbal intake..but I know it's the chlorophyll...amazing and am so happy.! It must be doing other great things as well :)

Hello,

Most people don't know that chlorophyll supplements contain copper. It's usually stated in the ingredients list as chlorophyllin copper complex. Since it has been repeated multiple times that copper supplementation can help reduce gray hair, this might be the reason why chlorophyll helps as well.

I am a bit confused over the apple cider vinegar and baking soda. At the moment i am taking blackstrap molasses and brewers yeast to reverse grey hair , it seems to be working very well so far, but i also take acv. I have been told that baking soda robs the body of b-vitamins and so if i do put this in my acv, would it take away all the b vitamins i am taking from brewers yeast and bsm? I would be gratefull if anyone can answer this one for me as i would like to add baking soda to my acv but will hold off for now untill i get some advice.

In response to the use of baking soda with apple cider vinegar, that combination is more for weight loss. I have two daughters who were born with white hair and they have slowly added more, I have no way near the white hair they have. The organic molasses we have is unsulphered - blackstrap...but does not have copper in its ingredients...is this the wrong one?

I am 34 now but started going silver when I was 18. Taking chlorella and spirulina have both reduced my grey hair dramatically. I tend to only take it in the warmer months in my smoothies. My hairdresser didn't believe me, was adamant that nothing reverses silvers, but I plucked one off my head and showed him the proof from the strand that was dark at the root and silver on the end, and he knows I don't dye my hair, and he was amazed! Says I am "a miracle of science."

Took organic unsulphered BSM for months and did not notice any difference, in fact, more gray hairs than ever seemed to be coming in. Purchased some chlorophyll just to try out, and my gray hairs are all but gone. And now my hair is a deep, shiny chocolate brown, healthier than it ever was before. I take one to two tablespoons a day. I believe it is the copper that is helping me. I use Nature's Way Chlorofresh, in case anyone is interested. Have been taking this for about two months. This may not work for everyone, but it sure has for me.

Gary Null says to drink chlorophyll every day. That's what he does and doesn't seem to have a gray strand of hair on his head. I'm going to do that and I let you know how it works.

It's worth a try. I may add chlorophyll to my anti gray hair regimen, which for now consists of blackstrap molasses, biotin, and 100 mgs of zinc. I just started this regimen 2 days ago, so it's much too early to gauge how it works. I haven't tried the Brewer's yeast yet as so many others have. I'm still up in the air as to whether I'll incorporate that as well, first I want to see how the above mentioned works before choking down Brewers yeast and orange juice. Regarding Gary Null, I've seen him in person several times, and while he has a good full head of hair, it's kind of a weird looking color when you see him up close. If I had to guess, I would think he uses some kind of dye. On the other hand, he certainly has plenty of hair for a guy whose age I estimated at around 67.

I am a big believer in chlorophyll to keep the hair from turning gray. I have been a user of green juices for about 7 years. I notice that if I stop taking them for a week or so, a white hair will pop in. As soon as I start the green drinks again, the white hair will literally change back to its normal brown within days. Chlorophyll drinks carry lots of oxygen to the cells removing toxins. They also have lots of minerals so they will bring the copper and zinc in also.

The other thing I notice is that if you have a very stressful life, you will need a higher amount of these juices. So for me, I need to up my green juice quantity when really stressed. Another good side effect of the chlorophyll is that my skin is radiant with literally no wrinkles at all and I have lots of energy. I'm in my mid 50's and most people think that I am at least 10 years younger.

Although Coconut oil is wonderful, and great for your health and so many ailments, it will not turn your hair back to it's orginial color. The only thing that will do this is restoring your body with minerals. You need to have all your minerals topped up by supplying it with kelp and redstar flake yeast. Both are very high in minerals, but kelp has the added addition of iodine which is so important to health. I take 1/2 tsp of kelp in my diet every day plus I substitute redstar flake yeast for cheese. I got to tell you that my hair, skin, and health have never looked and felt better. Try this as you will not be disappointed. The hair is a barometer of your health. If you have a lot of minerals your hair will not have gray in it and it will be soft and supple and shiny. If you are not supplying your diet with minerals, then you will have gray hair prematurely and the hair shaft will be rough and dry and dull. Believe me, I went from dull to shiny in about 6 months by supplementing my diet with minerals, and not from supplements either as I took none - only minerals from a high brix diet (look this up) and Laminaria digitata kelp, plus the redstar flake yeast. Good luck, Ellen

I have no idea Keith, I wish I knew because I have the same problem but if you are man, I have to say that from a woman's point of view gray hair can be quite attractive! I met my husband when he was already gray and to be honest I find that he looks a lot more distinguished than when he was young. Unfortunately I am a woman and gray hair only makes us look old!

Human hair grows at a rate of approxiately one half inch per month. If you are following any natural product use that is supposed to return your hair to its natural color, you should see your hair roots in your natural hair color in five to six weeks. I did not use Coconut Oil for that purpose but it does have many beneficial effects. Jay

I am a 70 year old grand and great grand mother with absolutely not a single grey hair ! My secret... Coconut oil which I had applied daily in my youth on my hair (though I haven't used it for sometime now ). My son's head is almost entirely grey . He doesn't listen... Try it .It's cheap because I never used the expensive organic or extra virgin variety . It beats the expensive supplements! I've recommended to many very happy friends.

Coconut oil does NOT turn hair grey. It infact makes black hair look jet black. I am 35 years old, and have been using coconut oil on my hair since childhood (as is traditional in South India), and my hair is jet black with not a single grey strand. My dad is 70 years old and uses coconut oil on his hair daily since his childhood, and he has black hair, not grey. I repeat, coconut oil is good for hair and maintains it dark.

Coconut Oil is the best for hair. Not only for gray hair, but everything for hair. It prevents and controls hair loss, it conditions the hair, it stimulates hair growth, helps to grow long hair, helps the scalp issues and what not. Coconut Oil scalp massages are very common in India and prevelent in almost all homes.

The most simple way is - Warm some coconut oil, add a few drops of limejuice, 3-4 curry leaves. Apply on scalp while its still warm.

It will instantly relieve your head, and help your hair.
Hope this helps.
God Bless

I started a few days ago rubbing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) on my scalp and massaging for 30-40 minutes, then letting it sit for 2 hrs, then washing it out. That evening, I noticed that not all the oil washed off, but it didn't bother me. Oil is difficult to wash off completely, but it is a good thing for hair, because it gave it nutrition.

The next day I noticed that my hair felt thicker and blacker. I saw one of my roommates who is 40 with complete gray hair and he said, what did I do with my hair. He said it looks black. He said it wasn't as black before and that I must be getting younger. I just looked at him and smiled, not telling what I did. As I write, I got the VCO on my head for 1 more hr before I wash it out.

I also take it internally too!

Copper Supplementation

Hi, I have another possible reason for grey/white hair. You MIGHT have a copper deficiency. Supplemental copper may help.

My husband has served as the guinea pig for this experiment. He used to be teased a lot by family for his white-haired resemblance to wild and hairy Einstein photos. When I started reseaching causes of white hair, I found lack of copper in the diet is one. Then, I looked up foods high in copper, and discovered that my spouse didn't like ANY of them, and rarely ate any copper-containing foods. So, I got him a 2 mg. copper supplement, and he takes it daily.

His hair is no longer white, but it is not that close to his natural color either yet, but it is getting there. I would estimate it to be about 70% grey yet, but it is improved enough to notice, his nape is quite a bit darker, his eyebrows are free of grey, his arm hair is darker than it was, and he told me just this morning that his chest hair is also starting to darken now. Supplemental copper is also apparently good for elasticity of the arteries to the heart---that makes you wonder if its lack might contribute to heart problems, but I haven't been able to find any indication of that online really. Still, we will take the bonus.

Thanks Dott for your feedback about copper supplements. I have waaaay too much grey hair to be just 43. I've suffered from it since I was 25. I just got a copper supplement with kelp and zinc today. I really hope to see results soon. Even though I color my hair with henna I see new white hairs just three days later! Ridiculous. I will post my results soon.

While it is TRUE that hair goes white and grey due to mineral deficiency and mineral imbalance could be the cause. Also, if you take kelp and you are hyperthyroid you will SUFFER. Copper toxicity causes liver problems and thyroid problems.

A healthier appoach would be to take a full spectrum mineral with supporting vitamins since minerals are only part of the orchestra. My grey hairs are going away with supplements and I use very little copper or zinc.

If you use the supplement you bought; try 1 every other day so you don't get overload and cause a deficiency in your other minerals

A progesterone deficiency can also cause grey hair.

You do your research. Lack of copper has been linked to aneurisms in a very real way not a we kind of think way like they do with Alzheimer's disease. Lack of copper also causes the skin to age faster and sag. Cornsyrup depletes copper and it's in practically everything. Raw Cacao and Molasses are both high in copper and good for you if you don't have sugar issues.
