APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND IODINE

04/01/2008: Paula from Goodyear, AZ USA writes: "I was browsing through your site and found where someone had posted that taking ACV will deplete the iodine in your body. For someone such as myself with Hypothyroidism this is a problem. I love reading all of the wonderful things that ACV can do for you and was all set to get started on taking it daily. I am new to this site and am not sure how to go about asking questions and where to find the replies and answers to them? I would greatly appreciate anyone who knows factual info on this iodine depletion issue to respond.

I love this site and tell everyone I know to look at it!! thanks for your help. paula"

SEEKING NATURAL REMEDIES

08/17/2007: J writes: "Hello Dear Parhat! My name is Jessica. I have been reading this website and I faund it very good. Can somebody help me with thyroid problem? Hashimoto thyroiditis. Some natural remedy. Is AVC a good remedy for this problem? Thank you for your help. Love and Light"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Hashimoto thyroiditis is an inflammation of the thyroid where autoimmunity can initially cause the hyperthyroid, or in a longer term one results in also hypothyroid condition. Most people I know with autoimmunity regardless of the kinds of autoimmunity often the heavy metals and fungus or candida issues can sometimes be noted.

A simplest remedy in my opinion, but not necessarily resolve the real cause is the use of lavender oil applied topically around the neck area to reduce that inflammation of the thyroid and also lavender have certain antifungal properties which is useful against such condition if those are the cause. Lavender oil works by transdermal absorption, goes through the skin and goes directly to the offending inflammed glands, in this case the thyroid glands. Certain antibiotics potential of clove oil is a possibility added about 1 drops in a one liter drinking water, well shaken can also help at least for me in some reduction of weaknesses and lack of energy, which is common inhypothyroid individuals or perhaps some sickness where weaknesses is seen. Clove oil is warming as well as it having antibiotics potential that may also rid of the offending microbes causing the said condition.

As to the lavender oil, it can be applied three times or four times a day. Certain hospital medication may worsen the condition and may worsen hashimoto thyroiditis from frequent antibiotics, frequent vaccination, sugar diet, and oily food. Those results in the body to become acidic (antibiotics causes the body to become more acid), initiating either a fungus, mycoplasma to grow around the glandular areas initiating a condition of inflammation.

Basically the body's terrain is what is causing those microbes to grow in the first place (its a fertile round and our bad dietary habits make good fertilizers for them), and in some cases vaccinations (which are the source of mycoplasma living and heavy metals) as they generally grow in acidic conditions also.

Oily dietary foods block normal hormone function, sugar provides foods for mycoplasma and other yeast condition, while it is the accumulation of heavy metals from frequent antibiotics use makes an ideal food for mycoplasma and fungus like organism. Our modern diets actually are high in sugar, acid forming (bleached flour, common table salt, etc.), chemical toxins and heavy metals, and oily vegetables if we compared to a diets our original ancestors ate which are comprised of non-processed food.

Heavy metals are retained much more whenever a diet is excess in oily food (heavy metals are hydrophobic), mycobacterium are anaerobes so they use sugar as a nutrient and heavy metals to protect themselves. Antibiotic get destroyed easily in presence of heavy metal by oxidation and hence the "antibiotic resistance" from such use, but in this case from excess heavy metals making antibiotics less effective. Hence, reduction of accumulated heavy metals in people can reduce the resistance of antibiotics, but the antibiotics itself is somewhat acid forming.

Common supplements used are anti-fungals supplements such as vitamin D3 or D4, vitamin K2 (immune system, antifungal), magnesium, zinc, selenium, iodine, vitamin B3 niacinamide, artemisinin, chinese parsley, kelp, soy, and isoflavones.

However other supplements that are synergistic with iodine are quite necessary such as natural vitamin A and vitamin E as well. Vitamin E may lower the inflammation, however selenium has antifungal properties, but yet are also a necessary nutrition. My own observation if niacinamide B3 also have certain cleansing properties in itself which might reduce inflammation of the thyroid.

However it must not be forgotten that in the cases of those I am aware of are due to mycoplasma in nature and hence are fungus.

In which case, two remedies are antifungals are the 1/8 teaspoon (woman's dose) borax diluted in one liter of drinking water usually done between once a week to three times a week, and baking soda 1/4 teaspoon plus potassium bicarbonate 1/4 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water. In event potassium bicarbonate is notobtainable, then potassium citrate. In event potassium cannot be found, then the remedy has to be altered to 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (NEVER baking powder) in 1/2 glass of water two times a day on an empty stomach once in the morning and once before bedtime. Normal bowel movements such as three times a day, equivalent to the number of meals in a day, can also reduce the symptoms are severity of the condition, by reducing the toxins in the body. However most people won't have normal 3 times a day bowel movements which creates toxin overload, resulting in easier inflammation.

Magnesium has often been ignored of having antibiotics potentials when we compared against zinc for example, And some magnesium supplements but I prefer magnesium citrate while magnesium bicarbonates are harder to use (its magnesium carbonate in bubbling carbon dioxide or carbonated water) as it is alkalizing, while the most alkaline magnesium, magnesium hydroxide are relatively difficult to absorb.

As to the wormwood (artemisia or artemisinin), chinese parsley (coriander), 10% sodium thiosulfate solution, cod liver oil for example, those have heavy metal chelating properties which reduces the free heavy metals which obviously are free radicals that may cause such inflammation in itself, but also provides nutrtion or protection of the offending microbes, such as mycoplasma. By reducing the heavy metals, sugar and especially the fructose (corn syrup), the organism starves and the inflammation is reduced. In event of a boron deficiency as boron are antifungal in itself, those lack of it can also remotely cause thyroid inflammation as the offending mycobacterium grows from the lack of anti fungals, such as selenium or boron. The proper use of chinese parsley, depending on how much some people can tolerate it. The less the toleration, the greater is the heavy metals accumulated in the body. So it is likely that a child with ADHD (often due to heavy metals as the cause) can tolerat only 2-3 leaves at a time, while a normal person like me can easily eat 1/2 kilogram or a pound of chinese parsley without any ill effects. Generally therefore, we can assume most people who have problems, might also have heavy metals in which case a chinese parsley can be taken only less perhaps just a tablespoon of it with plenty of water.

Niacinamide B3 has certain interesting cleansing properties that I noticed, which prevents the microbials from attaching and forming colonies also. Niacinamide, I think I would likely take about 300 mg a day for 5 days out of a week, while the b complex I would take two days out of a week so prevent vitamin B imbalances.

Liver also plays an important role in detoxification in which event the acetate portion of vinegar (liver detoxes them by acetylation, so the process is somewhat similar) in which case 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 1/2 glass (at least) of water is used. That's taken twice a day on an empty stomach. Certain other interesting detoxification supplements, and hence with less toxins, less inflammation of the thyroid is also seen as helpful such as N Acetyl Cysteine, 500 mg, perhaps three times a week. Sodium thiosulfate 10% solution usually found in aquarium pet shops well labeled, no coloring, are sold as dechlorinators which can be added to drinking water to remove chlorine and especially neutralization of oxidizing chemical toxins buildup in the liver. The dose I would likely use is anywhere from 3 drops to a maximum of 12 drops in one glass of water, with a median dose of about 6 drops. The sodium thiosulfate removes free heavy metals. On the other hand, tannins also removes certain kinds of metals such as iron, and free metal iron are something microbes tend to flourish also or at least hide themselves against invading white blood cells or antibiotics.

Thus, green tea might be helpful, although the problem about green tea is the possibility of above average fluorides found in tea, in which case, chelating or removing fluorides using a small amount of borax may help.

However, other halogens which compete against iodine in the thyroid such as bromine, fluorine, and chlorine can also result in hypothyroid as they compete for the same place, and those should be removed from diets, or reduced, such as chlorinated water, fluoridated water, fluoridated toothpaste, excess insecticides use (which has fluorides)."

QUESTION FOR TED

05/09/2007: Michelle writes: "Hi Ted, I was medically discharged from the military with undifferentiated connective tissue disorder (positive ANA, low white blood cells, arthritis in finger joint): 3 of the 11 for Lupus, which I have been tested for and do not have, but I have other Autoimmue things going on. Also, I don't have the postive ANA anymore as well. I recived many vaccines upon entrance in the Army, and then given all of those same vaccines again plus some when I was deployed to Haiti (only 3 years after receiving my initial series). I also was given the Rhogam shot with 2 post pregnancies, and two major surgeries. (One D&C after a miscarriage, One C-Section with the birth of my daughter.) I now have hashimoto thyroiditis, cannot digest gluten or dairy, and have poured my heart and soul into studying alternative medicine since the medical doctors didn't have much to offer me.... Now, I have raised lymph nodes around the thryoid, goiter, and just want help. Please can you suggest what I can do? How can I get the vaccines out of my body? Do you have any advice for me? I have done colon and liver cleansing in the past, which has helped, but I still have the issues with thyroid. Here is what I am currently doing: Goat's Colostrum Clay Baths (every 6 weeks) No gluten Natural Bovine Thyroid (Although, I don't know how effective this is) Mega B-Stress (Although now I see it has Niacin as Niacinamide, which I think you said we should never take, ONLY IN THE FORM OF NICOTINIC ACID, Do you have a brand recommendation. RM-10 from Garden of Life Selenium Chromium (Not picolinate) I also rebound everyday. I used to juice everyday as well, but have gotten away from that. I also eat mostly vegan, but do consume eggs. I am open to Salmon, but have not done so as of yet. Any advice for me? Thanks so much!! Blessings"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "nd maybe 1 capsules a day, or twice a day for only 3-4 days out of the week would also be helpful.

Vitamin C sodium ascorbate will be helpful. One extra notes, that you need to pay attention, vitamin B complex is taken once a week or twice a week. Without getting into confusion, I prefer niacinamide vitamin B3 as part of the ingredient, any other names of B3 you risk possible confusion of names.

Chromium, at least for now should not be taken that often, and once a week or less is better. The reason is simple: you are removing heavy metals and putting them back in is not helpful

Should you want mineral balances, the safest route, I think would be just add sea salt (dead sea, and other places high in heavy minerals are o.k). The usual dose is 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in one liter of all your drinking water. This should help autoimmunity.

The second issue is alkalization, which removes heavy metals reduce inflammation and I have seen this alone can helped greatly in the improvement of autoimmunity by leaps and bounds. Usually autoimmunity requires somewhat larger does than most people of baking soda, which is often 1/2 teaspoon taken twice a day is added. You can also put in 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar also taken twice a day mixed with the 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.

Miscarriage, is often due to vitamin C deficiency, high heavy metals, which effects fetal development too. The reason I know is I wouldn't be alive right now if my mother weren't eating by the baskets of oranges, as she had previous cases of miscarriage before.

This is the simplest remedy that I can think of that would help you. If this is not helpful there is always a tiny pinch of borax added, to drinking water once a week. However, I don't think you need them here, unless the fungus like condition of autoimmunity does not respond to the simple remedies."
