08/17/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "You should have your mineral status checked, like hair mineral analysis. The one mineral that I have found to helped is magnesium, the other is the fungus issue or viral, is infecting your thyroid glands. The condition can swing easily from hyperthyroid to hypothyroid very easily it has to do with fungus and mineral imbalance. You're right in selenium supplements, but magnesium will slow down the heart rate. Too much phosphates in the diet can also do it. it is found in meats but also fungus loves phosphates and thrives, so you can get both racing heart and adrenal fatigue. Things that will slow down metabolism is 1 or 2 mg of lithium carbonate, B3 niacinamide and B1. Check you copper zinc ratio it is abnormal. The best I could say is to get hair mineral analysis. Too much selenium without vitamin E will create problems.

13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH GRAVES DISEASE FOR 5 YEARS

05/25/2009: R. writes: "Dear Ted, I wrote you before. My 13 yr. old daughter has Graves' disease for about 5 yrs now. She's on methimazole and is stabilized. However, she gets bad headaches and has wetting at night maybe 2 out of 7 nights. We work with a good natural practitioner. What has seemed to help the most was using a topical glutathione cream. After 2 weeks headaches and wetting stopped for about 3 1/2 weeks. Then resumed. We now use in addition a product that helps the body make its own glutathione. This product produced increase in tsh from .5 to 1.1. Still have headaches but not as bad. Also now trying bugleweed drops. How can we get her off medication? Thanks for your input."

05/26/2009: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear R:

Headaches are most often excessive calcium in the neural conduction, and lack of potassium and lack of magnesium. The level of common antioxidants such as vitamin C are also low. Usually these three major supplements wills top most of the headaches, assuming the issue is not high blood pressure. Foods high in calcium tends to worsen the condition and is found hidden in many supplements and food, especially potatoes. Typical dose for vitamin C at least a child of 8 was around 500 mg of sodium ascorbate, which is considered an antioxidant, but is a oxidant if the vitamin C is an ascorbic acid. No calcium should be added to them. If 500 mg of vitamin c is taken, it is taken twice a day, and quite often the headaches goes away within the next day. However, considering an autoimmunity such as Graves' disease, magnesium, preferably 250 mg, preferably in form of magnesium chloride or magnesium gluconate that has the least problem. Quite often I have seen Graves disease is due to fungus, that's causing the autoimmunity, where this can be proven or tested with a pH paper where the salivary pH for a normal person is 7.3 but for a person with that particular condition will have typical pH below 6.5, but more often below 6, which is even more sick. Therefore it is required that the pH of both urinary pH, assuming urinary pH is below 6.5 and salivary pH is below 7, then at least 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate 1/4 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water assuming a small person whose weight is about 40-60 pounds on that weight based dose. It takes about 2-3 weeks of supplements to reduce the autoimmunity, and sometimes addition of borax remedy, usually a pinch or two per glass, plus 30 drops of H2O2 3% food grade in one liter of water is drank as a water to help clear up the blood. Glutathione helps detox some of the problems, but not heavy metals or fungus where a peroxide can do a better job on fungus, and maybe cilantro for heavy metals. Neural control of urinary problems may restore with regular magnesium supplements and twice week b50 vitamin b complex."

05/14/2011: Patient50313 from Des Moines, Ia replies: "Give up aspartame and all other artificial sweetners. You might be surprised by the dramatic improvement in your condition. I know I did and as a result was able to go completely go off the 30 mg of methimazole that I was taking each day.

Also, start taking the plain L-Carnitine formula. It works great and recommended by my Endocrinologist."
