<description>[YEA] Jessica from Oceanside, Ca writes: "I have had some success. I had a large stone 2.1 cm in 2011 and the Dr said it was up to me if I wanted to get my gb removed. He said a large stone only puts pressure on the duct, but wont get stuck in it. I already knew I would opt for surgery anyway since the gb is very important! I called my naturopath up and she suggested I drink a very warm glass of water with the juice of a yellow lemon every morning on an empty stomach. This thins the bile. A few days later my pain was gone. I then did a liver flush with some herbs, cascara sagrada and beet root formula. Followed with olive oil and gIrapefruit juice. Didn\'t notice too much difference from that, but I\'m sure it helped. I changed my diet to include plenty of fats (i eat eggs over easy, avocados, cheese, meat, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. ) and eliminated grains and most sugars. I supplemented daily with sunflower lethicin, magnesium, vitamins, and drank my lemon water every morning. In 2012 I had a second ultrasound done on my gallbladder and the stone was 40% dissolved. My doctor was in disbelief to say the least! He told me he had really doubted me in going a natural route but that he is happy I have done so well. I no longer have pain so I\'m anxiously awaiting my upcoming scan this summer to see what\'s left!

<description>[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] Gbgirl from Tabernash, Co writes: "Most of the large visible \"stones\" from these olive oil flushes have been proven to be saponified fat from ingesting all that olive oil; it\'s likely smaller, actual gall stones could be flushed out too, but my N.D. warned me these flushes could be very dangerous for people with stones experiencing attacks as they trigger the spasming of the GB and could cause stones to release and become stuck. She advised me to eat an 80% pesco-vegan diet, and take peppermint, vit. C, fish oil, and lecithin capsules 3x daily to help prevent, soften, and dissolve stones. Also to reduce or cut alcohol intake, and drink LOTS of water to keep bile flow moving. So far I have been attack-free for 3 months, only some twinges now and then when I am stressed, dehydrated, or not eating well.

<description> Rei from Venice, Fl, Usa writes: "Stevenson &amp; Carole: I found a very interesting website and hope you\'ll have some time to take a look. It\'s a journey that one man took to save his gallbladder as well. While he has not had a follow up scan, he states that he is completely symptom free. I may incorporate some of his suggestions while keeping up with my bean consumption.
http://keepingmygallby.wordpress.com/
I don\'t know about how you both handled this, but I\'m finding it extremely hard to eat anything more than these beans! Other than my morning coffee and cream which I absolutely can not give up. That is my drug of choice! I grind my beans every morning and when I want true decedance, I enjoy my cream and espresso\'s with my Nespresso machine. Granted, I cut my consuption down to 2 cups a day, but I refuse to give it up. :-)
Carole, I\'m a bit concerned about the tamarind. Although I actually have tamarind paste in my pantry as I type, I did a very brief search and found that while it helps the liver, it is not so good for one that has gallstone issues. Here are 2 links that I stumbled across. Perhaps I\'m reading it incorrectly? http://www.botanical-online.com/english/tamarind_properties.htm &amp; http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16041099
I did however come across some unnerving info in regards to legumes and gallbladder, which I would like some input/opinioins. I will continue this regimen knowing what Stevenson has experienced, but still somewhat concerned.

Thanks, Rei :-)

I am enjoying tamarind - so worth looking at that for gb support.
- And I like dandelion root coffee (good for bile support).
- Also, coconut is a good source of protein.
- Chia seed is also a good source of protein/fibre. a tiny seed packed full of goodness.
- I am loving my bean soup; avocado, beetroot and bean salads and salmon, rice and beans.  It is so rewarding to be able to eat and not be fearful of what might happen.... as we know the pain can be very scary!
Good luck

<description> Rei from Venice, Fl, Usa writes: "To Stevenson from Vancouver:

I want to thank you very much for your posting about Kathy Hurd and the legume regimen. I have suffered with gallstone/gallbladder issues most of my adult life. I am now 44 years old. I used to do flushes to help my situation, but allowed far too much time to lapse and am now very uncomfortable and in pain much of the time. I fear that my liver is also damaged due to years of unhealthy life choices, via food, drink and stress. And as a person without insurance or means to be treated by a doctor, I am left to my own devices.

I am embarking on this regimen tomorrow and have spent the entire day researching and preparing my beans. :-) I don\'t know if there are any \"no-no\'s\" with this diet, but I just prepared a Mexican Bean Salad that I do like very much and intend to eat other variations of beans recipes as well. It includes a total of 10. 5 cups of beans (kidney, cannellini &amp; black), 6 cups total of diced green &amp; red peppers, 2 red onions minced, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup red wine vinegar, 2 TBL lemon and 4 TBL lime juice, 1 TBL cumin, 1 TSP chili pepper, 1 1/2 TBL salt, 1 TBL pepper, 4 cloves fresh mashed garlic, and 1-1/2 TBL of sugar. Are there any ingredients in here that I should steer clear from? I figure this is about 3 days worth of beans!

I am VERY interested in what your test results will show after your appointment with the doctor. Please do keep us informed! It\'s people like you who are willing to share their experiences that enrich this community.

Thank you!

<description> Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa writes: "Stevenson: You may want to also consider supplementing Lecithin as it is beneficial to the digestive, bilary, circulatory, and nervous systems; an allround whole body health promoter.

Another item worth mentioning here is the amino acid Methionine which is found in abundance in legumes. Methionine, like choline (methionine actually makes choline), is a superior fat burner. After having made some inroads on hepatitis, and fungal infection in the gut, I restarted using methionine 1grm daily with profound results. My fatty liver is regressing to healthy cells and I can definitely feel this improvement. Extra methyl donors like B-6, B-12, and Folic Acid are recommended when supplementing extra Methionine.

<description> Stevenson from Vancouver, Bc writes: "I have a better way that requires no flushing. I could go on and on how it has saved me from continous terrible pains from gallstones, but here is the link to where I found the information.

http://www.karenhurd.com/pages/healthtopics/specifichealthconcerns/ht-shc-gallbladderdisease.html

If you have or suspect gallstones, please give it a read as it is only one page long and for me the results were so stunning that I just want to pass this info on. It covers things that you may not find anywhere else and just involves taking soluble fiber 6 times a day (I did it every two hours using kidney or navy beans) to bind to the old bile and stones and after several weeks all the old bile and stones are flushed out of your body and your liver produces new bile and disolves everything else there after.

<description> Liz from Hollywood, Ca. writes: "I was doing very well prior to slipping back into eating out. Little by little it seems to build and bam, attack!! The Stone has been released!

I noticed that table bread for me in any amount should be avoided at all cost. I also noticed that excessive fat content in one or two meals in a day will bring it on.

I am doing a flush now with Organic Apple Juice. I drink warm/hot water in the morning with Lemon Juice. I am sticking to mostly vegi\'s and rice during the Flush. I am doing this Flush with the help of a Dr and a Nutritionist. I am taking a bile thining supplement. I am tying to eat healthy fat and do not have an issue with Real Organic Butter or Salt in moderation with vegi\'s. I did this flush before and flushed many Stones. Yet, it dawned on me after eating a slightly escallating amount of trigger foods which I am probably also alergic to, I was passing a stone. The Apple Juice is a miracle disolvent for Stones. After an attack rest your body because there is so much going on with the Bile Duct. Drink Apple Juice and try to stay stress free. Eat carefully.

If I have to have surgery but with more disapline and time, MAYBE I can avoid it because I also contemplate the what if\'s. You know, what if it the start of hospital surgeries. I have read that if your healthy and your bloodwork shows high levels resulting from an attack then you may be able to heal by eating a better diet. Potatoes (Gold) seem to also be a miracle food for some reason. Good luck with your health.

I read last night that it takes years for stones to develope. If you have cleaned up your diet and you go back to eating something you are not use too you will trigger a potential stone release. You have to dissolve the stones and you have to eat healthy fat. The Gallbladder needs good fat.. That\'s it\'s job. I underworked mine. I didn\'t eat good or bad fat just refined breads and sugar over the years and minimal vegtables. I love carb\'s.

<description>[NAY] Carole from Bury Village, West Sussex, England writes: "An update on my situation. I have just had another scan which shows that the only change in my gallstone is that it has got bigger! It is now measuring 3.1cms. For the past three months I have been on an intensive protocol to help dissolve? break up the stone? However.... There has been no indication that the herbs have done anything! I have been using Gold Coin Grass as a tea and also a tincture. I have also been using Chanca Piedra as a tincture and also a tea and have just started a herbal supplement. Other things to help the situation.... Drinking lots of chamomile tea/lemon juice (helps to dissolve gallstones); dandelion coffee/beetroot (helps improve bile flow). Tamarind for gallbladder support.

Has anybody actually had any success with dissolving large gallstones using herbs? And how much of anything does one need to take for it to be effective. The Chanca Piedra (for instance) suggests just one 500mg capsule per day.

I did do one gb/liver flush a few weeks\' ago and it was fine and the discomfort was better for a little while. However, I keep being advised not to attempt any flushes with such a large stone. Surgery would seem to be my only option.... which is sad when I have put so much effort into trying to keep the gb.

I\'d appreciate any help.

<description>[NAY] Brenda from New York , New York writes: "Hi, I was diagnosed with a gallstone 2 yrs ago. Just 1 1.5cm approx and opted not to have the gall bladder out. It doesn\'t makes sense to me. However, I don\'t really know what I\'m doing and I may be causing more problems. I have never eaten fried food or any sweets since. Meat is mainly salmon, chicken, turkey or occasionally lamb No animal stocks, only vege. I get some olive oil or avocado daily for fat. I make all of my own meals. I recently I had my first major attack in 2years, but I did not have any fat at all. I made a pizza with fat free cheese for dinner and about 2hrs later it started, lasted the typical 4hrs and subsided. That was really confusing. And since then, I have constant irritation. Maybe it\'s alot of gases, however, Otherwise I eat mainly organic diet, with a good amount of fresh veges and fruit, and sip water throughout the day. I am commited to keeping the gallbladder, but, I don\'t know how to keep from having problems.

I recently started Lecithin gel capsules with olive leaf before I go to bed. I take vit D3 and calcium in the am. Also, my weakness is occasional creme in my coffee and on the weekends a couple glasses of wine. Can some one explain why the wine is bad? When it was originally diagnosed, by a gastro he wanted to take it out becaue as he said that\'s what they do. The U/S showed the 1 stone and multiple calculi that were so small they could not be measured. Beyond surgery he would not assist me, so I\'m in the dark. I took acupuncture for about 6 months and chinese herbs which caused me to PAINLESSLY pass the calculi. It had no effect on the larger stone. I lost my job and could not afford to continue. I will start the Chanca Piedra this week, but can someone advise me on navigating this alone? I don\'t want to hold onto the gallbladder and and damage other areas.

<description>[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] Carole from Bury Village, West Sussex, England writes: "Hi again.... After much research including the helpful information given on this site.... I am at least forming a plan to try and dissolve my large 2.8cms calcified gallstone. It would seem to me to be best to follow the protocol in Adreas Moritz book.... At least I am happy with the supplements etc he suggests!
If anybody has time... I would appreciate looking at what I am doing and see if there is anything else to add/do. Currently I am thinking of staying on this dissolving protocol until May (one year from when I had the initial diagnosis). If no joy after that period then surgery. I know of several people who have had surgery and they are fine. And I do not think I am wise to continue keeping my body under stress because of a gallstone! ?! Yesterday was a \'bad\' day and I have no idea why....
Background....I am diagnosed with an enlarged multi-noduled goitre with isolated T3 toxicosis. In March is flipped hyper and Bugleweed helped but not enough and I was advised to start anti-thyroid meds... Which had a bad affect on my liver.... And after much mis-diagnosis I was found to have the large calcified gallstone. Surgery was not recommended by my Endo because of the thyroid problems. Long story - short..... Thyroid now ok and many of the problems because of the hyper status are o.k. Again.... PH levels all over the place and blood sugar levels.... Candida, anxiety, panic attacks, massive weight loss, muscle wastage!
So...doing all sorts of things to get healthy again and would so love to keep the gallbladder. Yes, I am still having anxiety issues and one being a gallbladder flush! I love Epsom Salts and bathe in them which helps any gb soreness. I am also having acupuncture and my Chinese doctor now says he will prescribe \'some herbs\' for the gallstone... In the new year. I see him next week.... taking more research material from online.
Comments on advice (from different sources)...
I am unable to find Tamarind fruit... But can easily get the paste and see that there are many health benefits for the gb in particular. Would this paste form be useful?
Juvaflex/Endoflex - again I can see the benefits... Difficult to get in the U. K. And expensive! However, I have enquired from the U. K. stockist and hope to hear from them in the New Year.
Apple Juice I love and yet am avoiding at the moment whilst I continue to treat Candida.
Carrot Juice.... again I love carrots but avoid this goitrogenic food raw.
I love lemon juice, grapefruit juice. I also drink Dandelion coffee (increase bile flow) and take Lecisun granules (help break up fats). I eat lots of beetroot - raw/cooked/juice (again helps with bile flow.
I am on a low-fat diet, no red meats, very little dairy, no gluten, very little yeast.
I have just finished one bottle of Keela Nelli (stonebreaker) herbal capsules. I seemed to be able to tolerate it well - although gave me very smelly flatulence!
I drink Gold Coin Grass tea and have just started to also take it in tincture form.
I am waiting for Chanca Piedra tincture just ordered.
I can get a bity confused about what to take on an empty stomach etc. At the moment I start the day with some oil pulling which I have been doing for some time now. A tablespoon of undiluted lemon juice/grated rind. Then a large mug of fresh lemon tea. Fruit and veggie smoothie. I drink lots of filtered water throughout the day. Drink the Danelion coffee three times a day before meals. Take enteric peppermint oil capsules three times a day after meals. Drink Gold coin grass tea throughout the day. The tincture I thought just before a main meal?
Am I going to win.... dissolve the stone enough to flush?
If anybody knows of anybody/clinic/colonic irrigation specialist in England (West Sussex) who offers help re gb cleansing - can they let me know. I still feel I need somebody to hold my hand through this. Heaven only know why I feel I need the courage.... just the fall-out from a body out of control and the fear of it all perhaps - during the past nine months.
Thank you. Carole

I have other factors stacked against this too. All women on my mother\'s side (including her) have had their gallbladders removed due to stones. I\'m also overweight; have lost a lot of weight; am an ex-smoker; ate poor diet for the first 80% of my life; have Native American genetics; have magnesium deficiency and slightly low running thyroid.

Since improving my health by exercise, choosing fresh and homemade foods, and taking magnesium supplement, my frequency of \"attacks\" (what I think are gallblader attacks) is very low to what it used to be. Ocassionally I\'ll still indulge. Unfortunately when I do, it still triggers an attack about 20% of the time. Usually after eating fast food, red meat, or something dairy-rich.

My definition of attacks is: a horrible pain in my upper stomach that can become so intense, I can barely manage to straighten my torso. I\'m doubled over constantly, walking hunched if I can muster the will to walk around. The pain radiates up my sternum and into my upper back between the shoulder blades. It feels like a gigantic pair of fists are shoved into my chest and stomach, squeezing and twisting in opposite directions so that nothing can go further in or out. My upper stomach will feel a little hard or rigid too - like it\'s all tensed up.

Sometimes I get my boyfriend to pound his fist into my upper back, like he\'s punching back for me! I\'ll grind my fist into my back too and sometimes that pressure helps minimally but only while I\'m doing it. I know, totally bizarre of me. But it\'s what makes sense at the time. In the past for attacks, I\'ve taken carrot juice which I read helps digestion and/or a cup of my powdered magnesium supplement (called Natural Calm -it\'s amazing! ) which takes the edge off. Once, I chewed raw ginger I cut right off the root in pure desperaton. All these things have helped (although carrot juice stopped being as effective for some reason).

The attacks last an hour to several hours and can be mild or severe to where I\'m panting and squirming all over the bed, moaning in helpless pain. Sometimes there\'s oh so ladylike belching involved but if it\'s bad, it doesn\'t matter how much my body tries to do this, it doesn\'t alleviate anything.

I had an attack that woke me up very early this morning. :( It\'s my fault. I even thought it might be coming last night. I was SO tired last night I didn\'t want to cook, even though that little voice inside my head said I should do it. I didn\'t listen and got a chicken burrito from a taco shop on the way home thinking chicken is a mild choice. It didn\'t even end up being that good - it was gross and had unexpected amount of greasiness like it was cooked on an uncleaned surface that had been used for red meats. I only ate half feeling how heavy it was getting in my stomach. Less than 2 hours later, I could FEEL like this attack was coming. In preperation I found this page with all the great reviews about apple cider and apple juice working. I was hopeful and meant to go get apple juice and the apple cider from the store but fell asleep with my phone still on my chest, this page still on the screen when the attack woke me up.

It was a milder attack so I took the magnesium, then drove to the grocery store for the apple cider vinegar and apple juice. It got worse at the store but it\'s so close to my house that I made it. Like described here, I took the suggested 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (the Heinz brand) mixed with a glass of apple juice (Simply Apple brand). It took me 10-15 minutes to finish drinking it. I was a little taken aback a little at the burny feeling in my throat and through my stomach but I thought of that as working magic. The burn is nothing really unpleasant or harsh - nothing compared to the pain of the attack at least! :)

As I took the last few sips I had already started feeling the pain subside. My stomach softened to the touch and the little swell the rigidity creates sometime went away. About an hour later, the pain was pretty much all gone and just some minor discomfort and remnant soreness was all that was left! THIS is the best pain remedy for the attacks I\'ve EVER tried. I\'ve never had the pain go away as rapidly or as close to complete as this before. Now I DID start with the magnesium supplement but it\'s help was minimal (it\'s MUCH better for preventative than reactive purposes).

It\'s drained me though. These attacks take nearly everything out of me. I\'ve mustered the energy to write this post because I want it to be read by people looking for experiences of other people who go through it and what has worked for them. I\'m telling you it works! If you\'re having an attack, my say is try it.

Thank you to Earth Clinic and all who took the time to post their experiences too. I would not have turned to the apple cider/apple juice concoction and gotten my quick relief if not for you!!

<description>[YEA] Kk from Seattle, WA writes: "Have to post this! I am doing liver flush by H. Clark. I could not follow exactly how she recommended it like lye doing right after taking olive oil/lemon juice. I was up for about 4 hrs afterward because had a lot to do. This liver pain I had for months is something that worries me a lot, it is mild but annoying (have to say my USS liver was negative for stones or anything abnormal). I learned about liver flush and decided to proceed after antiparasitic treatment. This am I had bright green irregular shape forms come out, hard to touch, but smashable with gloved fingers. They were wax like texture. Green hard wax! They would not desolve in water, if to press them against sink surface they would stick to it and not get flushed with water. Such odd and ugly stuff! Looks like they were about to form into stones.

I have to follow instructions next time and get more of this out. Highly recommended!

thanks to this website, I would never get to this on my own

<description> Theherbwitch from Camden, Sc, Usa writes: "I used to own 3 herb stores, and I have assisted many, many, people (including myself), in removal of gallstones through diet/herb combinations. Not only is it highly probable that you can be successful doing this, you must also realize that rarely does one remove the stones from more than one bile duct at a time using a cleanse. Therefore, it is necessary (and most people do NOT like this) to REPEAT the cleanse once every other month for a few months, in order to get rid of the stones, then go on an herbal maintenance program to address the cholesterol issues one had to have in the first place for the stones to form. The bile ducts are like \"fingers\"between the liver and gall bladder. When the stones block this opening, this is when an \"attack\" occurs. Also, cleaning the colon FIRST is not optional, as you can get very sick if you don\'t. Ihaveseen many, many people do a cleanse, get rid of a JARFUL of stones, then go back to their old dietary habits and change nothing, then are shocked when they have to have a gall bladder removed, on an emergency basis, because it is diseased and dysfunctional.

<description> Singapore 87 from Singapore writes: "HELLO. I\'M from singapore. And i\'ve just treid my first liver/gallstone flush. omg what I did was just olive oil, epsom salt and apple juice. I first drink apple juice for the first 1 1/2 day. Then I dida colon cleanse at the same time. I mean way before that I did a cleanse already. I\'m so excited to do the cleanse! Omg. It taste nasty! FML.. I didn\'t follow the timing they set.. I just did my own. Lols. Anyway, yeah. I stop eating at 2pm. Was hungry but just drink one cup of apple juice. And waited. I mixed 4tbsp of epsom and 750ml of apple juice toghether. So 4pm I took first dose. And I went to sleep. At 6pm I took other dose.. And waited till 9. 45pm I took the freaking NASTY Olive oil! (about 180-200ml) I threw away abit. Omg.. I almosted vomited and gagged at the olive oil. It makes my stomach nauses.. :( and I coudn\';t sleep because of the olive oil. And I was burping olvie oil smell which I can\'t stand it. Lols. So yeah I lie down for 20 mins. Den change position. ( no difference for me. Lols. Even though I lie straight on my bed. Lols. But I did feel my gallbladder is what ur so call \"opening\" my stomach was grumbling, growling. Making alot of noise. After that I slept. Around 5am I had a firm yellow stinky stool (floating).. I thought it was gas. Coz before that my stomach was making alot of noise and alot of movement. Lols. And I went back to sleep. At 9am today (22/5/2012) I drank 3rd dose. I\'m having daireeha already. So I was camping in the toilet. Omg. Nasty foul smelling stool. I myself cant\' stand the smell too.

At 11am. I drank my last dose.. the last dose makes me [defecate] like mad! and i still can smell my diarrhea smell after so long. :( i think after a fews rounds of diareeha, suddenly there\' is really liquid diareeah ( like urinating. from rectcum lols) 2x and i pass out stones! is green pea size. first 2 rounds of that, i pass 10 other i dun know how many. lols. i think the first flush was about 60-80? but first round i saw there\'s 2 or 3 bigs and the rest like sand type. after 6pm i\'m still passing out stones but lesser. but still burning rectum.. like maybe 1 or 2 stones. mostly green/ yellow.. but after 3 or 4pm i start passing out. it makes my rectum burning! almost wanna shout.. i\'m so proud of myself. lols. i did not mix grapefruit juice and olive oil together. and still get results. lols. but my ass burns like hell. omg.. but 11. 35pm i\'m still having diarrhea. how long will this direaah last? is the direeah or toxic causing the burning or the green or yellow pea size causing the pain? but i supect mine is direeah causing the pain?coz before i was using pyllisum husk i did not hve any buring retcum but musty urnie. lols. now i dun have musty urine but having direeah odor! omg.. how to get rid of dierrah odor?

my main question: when i was having daieerah i was also passing out some white specks stuff. 1) is how many flush can we do within a month?

2) i\'m going to change my apple juice brand to marigold is 100%. is still apple juice right? lols.. the one i buy is $7.90.. so ex.. :( is much cheaper. and is 1 little. maybe i will buy a few packets.. i\'m so hungry.. i\'m going to eat bread tml. lolls.
anyone knows how to get rid of the anus odor?
