OIL PULLING AND GALLBLADDER ISSUES

09/22/2007: S writes: "I know and I wish I had known then what I know now. Sometimes I think our Dr's just remove it to make money and don't try to fix it. They told me my gallbladder was not funcioning at all. So what type of diet would you prescribe for a person without a gallbladder trying to lose weight. I WILL not hold you in anyway responsible it just an opinion. P.S. The ACV with Baking soda seems to be doing the trick no stomach cramps."

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Doctors will remain in control of how the treatment is to be performed and they will have the upper hand, even if their treatments are wrong. One area that might be helpful is to get the word out. Gall bladder basically does the critical fat emulsification, without sufficient amount, the liver buildup excess fat, or the body acquires obesity with excess fat. Therefore I would try to regularly use at least 1/2 tablespoon to 1 tablespoon of granulated lecithin with every meal of food I eat. The lecithin does the emulsification part that the gall bladder does. The other issue is that gall bladder also manages different salts, and bicarbonates necessary for the body to maintain an even pH otherwise, the body can't simply function. In that event, 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in one liter of drinking water should help partly that problem. The other thing that it does is the pH, which baking soda plus (sometimes) some potassium bicarbonates, Apple cider vinegar plus baking soda regularly should handle most of those problem. The detoxification done by gall bladder is difficult since a large amounts of the body's toxins are processed through the gall bladder, which I haven't yet fully resolve. However the addition of some sodium thiosulfate 10% drops in the drinking water added, such as 5 drops to 10 drops per liter would help. Sodium thiosulfate basically detoxifies oxidative chemicals that accumulates in the body where gall bladder does some of those quite indirectly. Apple cider vinegar has acetates, which is part of the process the liver does to detoxify toxins as well. I can't cover every detoxification the gall bladder performs but one other thing that may be helpful sometimes is the use of hydrogen peroxide 3-6 drops 3% in one glass of water first thing in the morning. Peroxide generally detoxifies certain toxins by oxidation. Those can be done whenever sodium thiosulfate is not used (both are antagonistic and should not be done at the same time, but at least 3 hours apart if it is to be done on the same day. Sodium thiosulfate can be generally obtained from fish aquarium shops available as a dechlorinator where it is clearly labeled as sodium thiosulfate. The reason why they don't label it is to discourage competition so the competitors won't know what is used, or to discourage do it yourself people. However, people who are more knowledgeable will likely buy the ones that are clearly labeled with the ingredients. The color should be clear white and smell somewhat like rotten eggs (sulfur smell) or smells like hot mineral watersprings with sulfur smells."

OIL PULLING AND GALLBLADDER ISSUES

09/21/2007: S writes: "Ted, I probably should have mentioned I do not have a gallbladder. Could this be why I maybe cannot process the oil and I do not eat alot of fried or greasy foods anymore."

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The gallbladder is a vital organ to allow the body to process oils. Without this the body cannot function as the liver gets congested of fatty liver much easier. As such granulated lecithin of at least 1/2 to 1 tablespoon should be mixed with all food and foods should generally be minimum oils otherwise the liver will get damaged and become fatty and non-functional. The reason why gallbladder becomes a problem and have to be removed is in my personal opinion is from excess oily foods, as well as lack of bicarbonates. The gallbladder performs these functions as well and it is why baking soda (and some potassium bicarbonate) and lecithin should be added to reduce gall bladder damages. Excess calcium in our food can also lead to problems too. The gallbladder issue as to why it is damaged is usually due to improper diets and removal of it is not a really a good long term solution. Therefore, oil pulling may be CONTRAINDICATED in event the person does not have a gallbladder."

CURE FOR GALL BLADDER OUT

09/04/2007: Alison from Brisbane, Australia writes: "Wondering id anyone can help with this one. My mother has suffered for YEARS with a weird set of symptoms. Basically she calls it indigestion? She starts off with pains in her gums or jaw. She then knows "IT's" about to start. The pain also can radiate to her back. She can have terrible stabbing pains in her back that are unbearable. This can last 15 minutes or much longer. Sometimes she feels terribly sick with it. It's so weird because it happens every 2 weeks-without fail! I feel so sorry for her as no doctor has been able to help her. She's had her gall bladder out and had every test known to man to get to the bottom of it. Has anyone else had this or something like it? Does anyone know of any cure or something that could relieve her symptoms? She's had this about 30 yrs!!!"

TERRIBLE CRAMPING AND LOWER ABDOMIN PAIN

08/22/2007: Shelli writes: "Ted, I have been OP for about a week and also started ACV and drink Aloe Vera (6oz) every morning. I have had TERRIBLE cramping and lower abdomin pain and gas. What is the case of this is OP or AVC? I have GERD and I'm 45 weight 288lbs. Thank you, Shelli .. Ted, I probably should have mentioned I do not have a gallbladder. Could this be why I maybe cannot process the oil and I do not eat alot of fried or greasy foods anymore."

OIL PULLING AND GALLBLADDER ISSUES

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear S: Quite often oil pulling are improperly done, the newer remedy requires that oil pulling is done between brushing of teeth. That means brushing teeth, oil pulling, then brush teeth again to remove the remaining oils. Quite often the peppermint oil is ADDED to the oil pulling to reduce the toxins as peppermint oil neutralizes them. However in the condition of GERD, it would make more sense to use just baking soda alone, or baking soda with apple cider vinegar. The remedy for baking soda alone, considering the average above weight would likely be more like 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day on an empty stomach. Or 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day on an empty stomach, once in the morning and once in the evening. As to the condition of the cramps, this would indicate the body's inability to cope with excess oils or oily food so it really helps to reduce dietary oily foods especially during dinner, and if oil pulling is suspected to at least do the alkalizing remedy for a couple of weeks. It is might be suspected somewhat that trace oil pulling toxins is what causing it. However, a more LIKELY scenario appears to be that ONLY apple cider vinegar were used, and whenever the body is already acidosis (most people do acidosis problem due to common western diet), the body's bicarbonate is lacking and bicarbonate is an alkaline substance. With sufficient alkalinity is what protects dangerous pathogenic bacteria from forming since they tend to grow better in acidic medium, such as between pH of 5 to 6.0, while baking soda is about 8, and the intestinal tract is actually generally alkaline in nature. It has to be that way to neutralize the acid coming from digested food done by the stomach. In event the body cannot neutralize the acid from digested food from the stomach due to insufficient alkalinity, the acid will burn the intestinal tract causing an abdominal cramps. In this case a simple baking soda would have resolve this problem. However a quick remedy but not necessarily a long term solution is a small dose of milk of magnesia, to neutralize the excess acidity too. However the amount I used always are less than what the bottles recommend such as one teaspoon of milk of magnesia (without the aluminum please!) in one half glass of water and drink that. However, I always will need to take the baking soda nevertheless, for a long term solution and take them (ideally) 5 days out of a week. Some magnesium citrate or magnesium supplements (I don't like epsom salt that much) is the one I think has the least problems and the dose appears to be about 250 mg/day. I prefer to dissolve it with 1/4 teaspoon (approx 250 mg) of magnesium citrate in 1/2 glass of water instead of using the capsules or tablets since it is less destructive to the intestinal tract using a diluted formula instead of a concentrated tablet along the intestinal tract. In some cases these tablet forms don't even dissolve in a glass of water after 15 minutes, which is why I make a habit to chew, grind, or anything so that I get the substance such as dissolving them in a glass of water completely. Finally most Aloe vera drinks have a problem in itself because of the sugar that was added. The sugar tends to fuel GERD bacterium which makes it worse also. So to get the body more acid, more sugar, oily food, are some of the things which fuels GERD problem therefore doing the opposite would be helpful in relieving such a problem."

QUESTIONS FOR TED

Shelli writes: "Ok Ted first let me thank you for always replying so quickly. I will try not to bother you so much.....but a few more questions.

1. Being I have no gallbladder, and I am oil pulling (newer remedy do I put the pepermint oil in the sunflower oil?) I have just be adding a dab on my toothbrush after I rinse my mouth from OP.

2. Since I have no gallbladder I will get some granulated lecithin for my meals.

3. I am doing ACV with baking soda morning and evening(good results so far)

4. I have even added taking cold showers to help my body.

5. I drink non sugared Aloe Vera 4 oz each day.

6. CAN I ADD VCoconut oil to my routine??????

7. What do you think about 1/2 lemon & 1 tbsp. of Sea Salt each day with 8 oz. of warm water. This lemon/sea salt drink is a natural cleanser for your liver & digestive tract. Ok that should be enough for now. Thanks in advance for all your knowledge. "

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "1. Being I have no gallbladder, and I am oil pulling(newer remedy do I put the pepermint oil in the sunflower oil?) I have just be adding a dab on my toothbrush after I rinse my mouth from OP.

Always helps to put peppermint oil to the amount that warming effect is no longer felt. The reason is the antibacterial properties of peppermint oil is quite powerful in itself, especially the viruses, but not really given the recognition it deserves in aromatherapy, especially its anti inflammatory properties.

2. Since I have no gallbladder I will get some granulated lecithin for my meals.

Yes, it helps emulsify the foods aiding digesting and does some function of the gallbladder.

3. I am doing ACV with baking soda morning and evening (good results so far)

It's done usually 5 days out of a week so that the body can operate in cycles. That means I do nothing for 2 days, allowing the body a rest and some detoxification time.

4. I have even added taking cold showers to help my body.

It it helps, then it's generally o.k.

5. I drink non sugared Aloe Vera 4 oz each day.

That's o.k.

6. CAN I ADD Coconut oil to my routine??????

If I have to add coconut oil, I will always mixed with equal portions of granulated lecithin. For example, if I plan to take 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil, I will add 1/2 teaspoon of granulated lecithin. The lecithin will emulsify the coconut oil, so that the body won't have trouble processing them, especially less the gallbladder.

7. What do you think about 1/2 lemon & 1 tbsp. of Sea Salt each day with 8 oz. of warm water. This lemon/sea salt drink is a natural cleanser for your liver & digestive tract.

The lemon and baking soda does more than cleansing. It corrects the pH, corrects the antioxidant (ORP) of the blood, balances the electrolytes and removes the excess serum calcium so common in people who are past puberty. I usually prefer the use of lemon and baking soda, than lemon alone. I get complaints all the time from using lemon exclusively or apple cider vinegar exclusively. Sea salt is used separately added into a drinking water and cleanses the system, but yet it also remineralizes the micromineral imbalances so common amongst us "land creatures" who eat land borne food.
