Your theories or comments: just prior to Fibro, I was working out of town in St. Louis.for several months. I had come down with an extreme sinus infection. Very painful, the worst I ever had. I ended up going to a doctor for antibiotics. I do not recall what they were.

Describe your experience with doctors: very good, they have tried to find medication that helped. I had one bad experience when the doctor told me this pain isnt doing anything serious to me, its just a chemical in my brain making me more sensitive to pain & everybody at 46 has pain
What remedies or medications have you tried: chiropratic care, physical therapy, anti depressants, pain meds, water therapy, 20 or so natural rememdies
What makes you feel better: if I can sleep deep, supplement colostrum, pain med ultracet, swimming in very warm water, low stress
What makes you feel worse: physical activiy is painful, any stress, in activiy is as bad as too much activity

Describe your experience with doctors: Horrible. For the most part they don't acknowledge fibro, and only really treat the disk pain in my cervical and lumbar disk problems.
What remedies or medications have you tried: accupuncture, epidurals, meditation, NSAIDS, steriods, anti-convulsants, de-tox diet, all that I can think of right off hand..memory not that great.
What makes you feel better: Extremely hot shower, Hot tub (when I can use one), and not sure if it is the fentynal patches helping the fibro and or the disk problems I have.
What makes you feel worse: Cold, Rain, changes in barametric pressure, excessive touching, having blood pressure taken, bumping any part of my body, some excercises.

Describe the extent of your brain fog: Loss of focus, can't remember things long term and short term, ADD symptoms, can't focus on things for too long.

Do your doctors tend to focus on all your Fibro symptoms: I have just been diagnosed with this, and I am resisting to believe it as I think it is a catch all diagnosis (easy way out for a doctor)
Do your doctors treat your symptoms individually or collectively: Currently taking anti-inflammatory which is helping significantly and that is it for now. I don't feel depressed although the 2nd doctor would like for me to go under a light anti-depressant. I would prefer to see therapist and work it out that way. I am very healthy conscious, prefer less drugs in my system and would rather do something holistically.
Describe your experience with doctors: Fair, as they are typically all too busy and working too many hours to make the big bucks and have lost focus of what is important. They are very hard to reach and sometimes do not call you back for days after you have left four messages for them four days in a row. Not how it should be.
What remedies or medications have you tried: Just anti-inflammatory Like Advil 3 times daily 4 tablets each time
What makes you feel better: Advil
What makes you feel worse: less activity once I have started taking Advil

If so, which sources of fluoride: I didn't know that this was a contributing element to Fibromyalgia... over the past 4 months I have been using a new toothpaste and I wonder if this has any contributing factors to how I feel??

Your theories or comments: I think there is something else going on than just a catch all name Fibromyalgia, I am seeking further professional opinions and look to find out what is really going on.

My attendance at work was questioned by outsiders and I almost lost my job over it. I struggle with feeling weak. My mond knows what needs to be done to do what some people call weekend warriors, and I used to be able to do all that on weekends plus do more than anyone could ever imagine at work
What were your first symptoms: pain. a car accident gave me whiplash, and the pain never went away.... before the accident I had periods of tiredness over the last 9 years but since the car wreck it is much worse.

I do not like taking RX sometimes I need to, but am now weening off of Cymbalta due to the bladder probrlems it is causing, I did not know it was the meds, until recently. If I took all they gave me I would be a zombie on the couch.
What remedies or medications have you tried: DOCs gave me: Cymbalata Many different muscle relaxers naproxen so many pain meds I cannot keep track. I do not take them I try: chiropractic accupuncture PH balancing cayenne detoxifying healthy eating 5 HTP

How has Fibro affected your ability to work: not sure if this is Fibro. Have unexplained illness with neurological efffects/balance problems/pain/burning/difficulty walking, standing.
How has Fibro affected your life: My life has been restricted a great deal.I used to go camping,rafting, travelling on vacations with my husband, worked hard with no problem.
What were your first symptoms: pain in both legs, beginning in lower legs/ankles, with tingling,burning...travelling up both legs over a 7 year period to mid-thigh. An increase in muscle stiffness as the day goes on.

How fast was your rate of decline: gradual over 7 years.Symptoms helped with Wellbutrin, Lexapro and Lyrica.

Do your doctors tend to focus on all your Fibro symptoms: I've seen my regular internist and my osteopath Gyn MD. They have tried to figure out what the symptoms mean.
Do your doctors treat your symptoms individually or collectively: Collectively.
Describe your experience with doctors: So far, my dxs. have included fibromyalgia, post-herpetic neuropathy, Reflexive Dystrophy Syndrome. My oeteopathic MD tested my vitamin levels and found some low levels in B vitamins, D, and some other vitamins. The Lyrica prescribed by my internist alleviated some of the pain, etc. but caused terrible bruising, vision changes. The terrible stiffness continues despite everything.The muscles in my legs tighten until the knee is not able to bend. I'm at my wit's end. They are good doctors, but we don't have the answer yet.
What remedies or medications have you tried: Lyrica, Lexapro, Wellbutrin.
What makes you feel better: Felt better on all 3, but could not stay awake, and was very foggy. Lyrica works, but side effects bad.
What makes you feel worse: Stress
