<description> Tyler from Chicago, Illinois, United States writes: "Hello, all. I am a young woman (21) and was diagnosed with Fibrosis last year. All years prior to my diagnosis, I'd experienced sharp pains in my abdomen and noticed that I had a permanent pudgy belly, as if I were pregnant. Of course, I knew that could not be the case. Well one day when I went to the doctor because of pains, I received the news about the fibroids that had formed outside my womb. Apparently there were quite a few, b/c the doctor was surprised when I told him I knew nothing of it before that moment.

The summer of 2011, I experienced the downfall of Fibrosis in the worst way. I'd always had a heavy flowing menstrual cycle, and it was always 7days.

This summer though, I bled for 31 consecutive days, ruined clothes because of accidents, and spent days in bed because I could not move due to the excruciating pain. I have other health issues, such as asthma/bronchitis, heart murmur, and iron deficiency anemia, so sickness is no stranger to me, neither is pain. However this was the worst predicament I'd ever been in. I am not able to have the surgical procedure as of yet. So I am seeking remedies for someone such as myself that has other health restraints, but wants to treat the fibroids as best I can, naturally. Any suggestions, aside from the Apple cider vinegar and baking soda? I've heard green vegetables and seaweed are good as well... Please help. Thank you.

<description> Melody from Harare, Zimbabwe writes: "Hello. Thanks for the informative website which revives hope. I've got fibroids and now 37 and wish to have a baby- don't know where I can find help in Zimbabwe or somewhere near for affordable prices. I'm so motivated to win my battle and hopes to get responses from all friends and other women who have gone through the pain which I go through almost everyday. Been told that the bigger fibroid is almost the size of a tennis ball so need to ask if dissolving tablets will work on these big ones.

<description> Victoria from Morris, Illinois, Usa writes: "I'm 43 and found out about 5/6 years ago I had a 1" cm tumor in my uterus and every year I had my physical and complained of heavy bleeding and abdominal pain. And my doctor never ordered anymore test ultra sounds ect. So this last summer I insisted and she had her nurse call to tell me it grew and to see the gynecolgist she reffered and do whatever he says. The gynecologist himself called me and said it grew and there were now multiple tumors and my uterus is enlarged becasue of it. So we're trying to reduce the size with birth control pills but he's almost positive they can't just be removed I may need a hysterectomy.

Now I'm furious because my own doctor could have watched them and I could have caught them in time for just the tumor to be removed now it's too late.

I wanted to know if this is medical neglect or not?

<description> Ed from Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa writes: "Hi I live in Pretoria South Africa and aged 46. Iam generally healthy though I have high blood pressure and medication daily. I started taking unfermented soya porridge every morning since january 2011. I went for my gyno examinations including pap smear in jan 2011 and all was clear. To my surprise, about 4 months ago I started getting urinary tract infections that would not respond to 3 types of medication. My periods became painful and I would feel a lot of pressure and discomfort in my pelvic area. I would keep running to the toilet.

I went to see my doctor 3 weeks ago and he said I had 3 fibroids 3cmx4cm and 4cmx3cm.

1. My question is this the cause of the pain I feel?? Is the size of the fibroids too big??

2. I have read that Blackstrap Molasses helps. I have gone to health shops and all I see is nature's choice sweet mollasses de-sulphured , and nature's choice bsm, I have asked the shop owner if the BSM is desulphured and he doesn't know!!!!!!!! What brand is desulphured as I am allergic to sulphur?

3. Could the soya have made the fibroids grow??

4. I really like it as my breakfast cereal- can I ferment the flour myself??

Blessings to you all.

The link you sent to Maria Treben's site was a wealth of information. Horsetail is not something I would have gravitated to but am definitely going to give it a try. <description> Patricia from Hanover, Ontario Canada writes: "Thanks for your speedy response Baldev, it is highly appreciated. I am very willing to try your suggestion of the poultice and am wondering if it is to be used cold or if heat should be applied and how long to leave it on for. I currently am using a castor oil pack that I apply heat to for pain reduction and increased circulation. Also there was another posting in which a woman stated that the rapid growth of her tumor was associated with a compromised liver (causing reduced metabolism of estrogen). I also have fairly rapid growth of my tumor and was told by a past accupuncturist that I have a hot underfunctioning liver. I already drink dandelion and stinging nettle tea daily as well as eating liver supporting foods and am trying to deal with suppressed anger issues. Any other suggestions for a hot liver?

I am very grateful for this forum and its participants and feel much less cornered into choosing an allopathic route for treatment of this concern. So thanks again everyone :)

<description> Patricia from Hanover, Ontario, Canada writes: "Hello there. I have a bit of a strange post contribution but am hoping I will still get feedback. I have been diagnosed with Fibromatosis which is an aggressive benign tumor. I was told it is the same as uterine fibroids but I am an extremely rare case that has developed this tumour on the right side of my right knee. Odd I know, but there you have it. I was told this tumor (as with uterine fibroids) is estrogen dependent and will reduce in size with menopause. The complication is that is surrounding a nerve in my leg and is now to a size that is causing me fairly constant pain. I had massage done to increase the lymph drainage and with every treatment I woud start spotting and bleeding no matter where I was in my cycle.... Hmmm I said.

My options I was told are surgery (which usually makes it come back worse), radiation and chemo. None of these are options I want to take and so have been searching for other answers. I found this site and am hoping someone out there has some ideas. Does the ACV/baking soda and BSM just help with periods or does it reduce tumor size? I'm really impressed with the thoughtful, helpful posts on this site and am hoping someone has ideas for me. Thanks in advance for any input.

<description> Teegal from Lagos, Nigeria writes: "Hi Ted,

I read with a lot of encouragement your comments on the various health issues, particularly as affecting women's health/fertility.

I have been married for 8 yrs never been pregnant. I had a lap. Surgery for adhesiolysis 2 yrs ago, during which the Dr. Diagnose hydrosalpingx on both tubes &amp; uterine intramural fibroids, later scan showed 1 or 2 of them are calcified. Also I went for a selective HSG afterwards, the one that catheterize the tubes and it was discovered one of the tube is partially blocked. I have been searching for herbal/natural ways of curing my fertility problems, and I stumble on your sight.

I took the ACV/BSM for about a month, and it helped greatly with menstrual cramping &amp; bleeding, but I have been noticing pain and feeling of numbness on my left leg, the fibroid is mostly felt bulging solidly on my lower left, could be its blocking some veins or nerve? Please advise.

I desperately need your help on what can remove my fibroids and restore my fertility, I don't wanna go under the knife, and I want to have kids.

Also please provide answers to the following:

1. Are calcified fibroids dangerous?

2. Can it become cancer?

3. I read somewhere on the net that calcification is the body's way of getting rid of the fibroids, is this true? If yes do I need to do anything about it?

Please help with natural remedies I can take to cure my ailment and help me achieve pregnancy.

Thanks,

<title>BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES</title>

<description>[YEA] Mary Ellen from Chicago, Il writes: "I had good luck with blackstrap molasses for my 11cm uterine fibroid for the first couple months that I took it--noticeable decrease in size, better energy, more regular bowel movements. Then suddenly I noticed dramatic changes--marked increase in the size of my fibroid, overall body swelling, skin changes, constipation, hemorroids. I was taking birth control pills at the time and would track these changes according to the week on the pill--week 1 I looked 2 mos pregnant; week 2 I looked 3 mos pregnant; week 3 I looked 5 mos pregnant, and then I'd get my period and all would go back to baseline. After some months of this I noticed that my body stopped going back to baseline and that these changes just seemed to move in and stay. My clothes were no longer fitting, no longer could do yoga, too hard with all that swelling. My MD said that bcp's would not make a fibroid bigger but I thought otherwise.

One month ago I discontinued the bcp's. Guess what happened? My fibroid is GONE! My body is back to normal--the way I remember my body looking and feeling before all this shenanigans started. I see my MD in 3wks and I bet she will be shocked by this outcome. If you're taking bcp's along with any other natural regimen (i.e. Black strap molasses), consider that it may be more foe than friend in your efforts to manage your fibroid. I couldn't be happier to have my old body back! Thanks for reading and good luck to all.

After I had surgery, my doctor advised that she found my fibroids were much smaller than she thought. Her words were "It wasn't as bad as she thought. <description> Miss Diane from London, England, United Kingdom writes: "Heres a question that I would love Ted from Bangkok to answer for me. How do I shrink huge fibroids that are pressing on the veins to my legs and put me at high risk of deep vein thrombosis.

According to a vascular surgeon and radiographer, a venogram shows "compression of the illiac venous system" and both he and my gynaecologist reccomend a hysterectomy. My symptoms include leg swelling and cram-like feelings. Other than that, I feel perfectly healthy and am a 'normal', slim 42 year old of afro-caribean ancestry, who wishes to keep her uterus.

5 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple huge fibroids. Other than very heavy periods, I had no real symptoms until 2 years ago when they started causing leg swelling, the diagnosis being compression of veins in my pelvis. As I was at risk of deep vein thrombosis (with 3 emergency hospital admissions), I had uterine artery embolisation a year ago. I can even feel the shrinkage and my fibroids are now the size of a 16 week pregnancy - which is huge, but still smaller than previously.

I live in England and have private health insurance and so have had multiple MRI and CT scans as well as other expensive diagnostic tests to confirm all of the above, and have seen some of the 'best' specialists in England.

I have been trying the sodium bicarbonate and apple cider vinegar remedy (also blackstrap molasses) for 3 months and have far less pain in the legs as a direct result, but I need to shrink the fibroids as I am still at serious risk of deep vein thrombosis. DVT can lead to a sudden death - so this is serious!

Generally, I am healthy, eating a vegetarian diet for 11 years, little junk food, no coffee, exercise twice a week, weigh 58kg (9. 5 stone), usually I am less than 9 stone.

I would love to take my mother on holiday to her home country this summer, but this would mean an 8 hour flight. Long-haul flights and bad circulation do not mix and I have been warned not to do this on risk of DVT. My mother is not getting any younger though, so we may never get another chance to do this holiday together.

Can you give any advise, Ted?

Regards, Miss Diane

<description> Aquines from Philadelphia, Pa writes: "at first I took acv, molasses and baking soda.

until the baking soda made my skin grey it had aluminum in it. Then I just used Apple Cider Vinegar and molasses. For nearly a month now. Then I decided to make things quicker. By combining tumeric, molasses, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and apple cidar vinegar, flax seed powder, grape seed extract and spirulina. Today's my first trial run at this remedy. I'll keep you posted. I'm feeling better inside my stomach thats a good sign I can feel it working more.

apart from the usual mollases and Apple Cider Vinegar I think this double triple dose could be effective to shrink the fibroids. I dont eat anything with sugar, no meat, a little fish, water with lemon, or acv... No sodas, white breads, maybe whole wheat. No soy. Mainly almond milk, flax, fiber cereal.. Oatmeal.. My food intake is vary vary light. I'm training my body to survive off of little food intake to help this process more.

if I go out to dinner I'm ordfering fish and salad.

by the way if anypne has any other cures for fibroids or have tried ones close to this could you post your remedies. for fibroids and hair growth..

for hair growth I put a mixture of galric, acv, coconut oil, in my hair and I color it naturally with henna. Red henna mixed with lemon acv, coco nut oil, olive oil, tumeric I combine and leave in for about 2-4 hours. I'll keep you posted on that also. Oh by the way does anyone know how to properly make purple henna. I hear indigo mixed with black henna, and blackberries, cranberries, and lemon might be a good hair coloring for it. But if your familiar with it could you send meinfo on it thanks.. stay blessed...

I have read so much about your site. I just want to ask just one question. I have Adenomyosis,

(A 7CM Adneomyoma of the uterus). It was shown on the pelvic sono as a fibroid. I went to another doctor and took an MRI, shows that I have Adenomyosis, of course I do have few 1.4 cm fibroids. This is on the right side of me and never hurts. For years I have been having pain on my left side where a Adenomyosis was found. I took to a holistic ND, who said for me not to drink green tea, because green tea has caffeine and this makes fibroids grow more. She said to drink red raspberry tea. I am confused, because on your site, there are talks about green tea being good for fibroids. I used to drink decaffeinted with (4% caffeine). Ted Please let me know any suggestion to shrink Adenomyosis. This is a growth inside of the uterus, the opposite of Endometroisis. I was told that enzyme breaks up fibroids tissue. Please let me know your suggesttion of these growths on the uterus. Adenomyosis is a thickening of the uterus.

Thanks Ted.

<description>[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] Aquines Anderson from Philadelphia, Pa writes: "I've just started taking 2 Tbls's of BlackStrap(Unsulphured) Molasses with a Tbls of Braggs with mother Apple cidar vinegar.

at first I started taking Apple cidar vinegar with baking soda yet the baking soda must be the kind with no aluminun, not your everyday baking soda you can et from cvs or your local market.

you should get the one at whole foods or your local health food store with out alluminum.

I'm on a strict diet of

* No meat including chicken, beef never pork.

* No coffee it makes it worse

* no asparatime or splenda, nutra sweet they cause cancer.

* avoid all white sugar, chocolate, candies

ect. they make your situation of healing your self worse. yeah I knw oh its chocolate or gum or

sweets yet they make it worser for your body.

* No pastries, danish cakes, white flour,

white bread..

anything you eat such as pasta, ect should be eaten in moderation.

I act like I'm stuck on an island and all I have to eat or drink are coconut milk, water, baby coconut is really good to because theres more water in them. I find mine at the chinese market. But thats all I usually buy. I dont eat the fish, or noodles or other foods there because they smell weird to me just my opinion we all have them.

* No Ramen noodles with the spice pack thats MSG

* Chinese food its MSG

*NO SODAS, DIET GINGER ALE ECT.

maybe selter but with quinine. Not the flavored type. You can squeeze lemon for extra taste. or add a little gin..lol

I REALIZE THERES A LOT OF NO'S HERE YET YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL REWARD YOU 100 TIMES OVER FOR MAKING THESE WISE &amp; HEALTHLY LIVING CHOICES.

I make sage drinks with lemondae, honey and sage thats good your fibroids as well. (from back to eden book), or tumeric tea good for the bones.

there inexpensive cheap ways to heal yourself of fibroids.

I'll keep everyone posted on the fibroid remedy I'm trying. Yet my tummy feels a lot better and its shrinking. plus I go for walks everyday and stretch that helps.

Best of luck and a speedy recovery to everyone.
