TED'S REMEDY FOR EYE FLOATERS
10/27/2011: Anonymous from Anonymous: "Ted, Can you recommend a remedy for eye floaters, I am having floaters in both eyes. (Please give me exact dosage.) Sometimes my eyes are a little light sensitive out in the sun even with sunglasses. I have noticed whenever I use wet sauna steam room, my floaters are more noticeable the following day."
10/27/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Floaters mean you have too much sugar in the blood or that your eyeball pressure is too high. Taurine is high in eyes and helps with eye pressure. Histidine amino acid also helps. I have one person who after eating sweet things reported floaters within minutes of it. The other thing is a hot atmosphere also has an effect on the eyes. Taurine is taken 1/4 teaspoon twice a day, histidine is taken 1/8 twice a day. Beta carotene, spinach, and B2 may protect the eyes from damages, but it takes time, about 1 month to see some results. Beta carotene 500 mg is fine, spinach (lutein) taken daily and B2 (riboflavin) may make your urine yellow, but is harmless and is taken 50 mg. All of these are ideally taken for 2 months to 3 months to have therapeutic value. The one thing that you don't require for 3 months is beta carotene, it's taken only for a month should be sufficient. Based on your feedback, it appears that you need taurine the most, it allows the eye to withstand pressure. If there is high blood pressure, as the cause, then additional potassium is needed, preferably potassium citrate. Sodium thiosulfate reduces blood pressure due to chloride and chlorine sensitivity that occurs with showers (from chlorinated water). Take 1 crystal a day before shower.

If so, can you take one 1000 mg capsule a day or should you take 1/4 teaspoon taurine powder twice a day? Is 1/8 teaspoon of Histidine equal to 250 mg? Thanks for confirming the mg doseage."
