[YEA] 07/05/2007: Marinette from Cleveland, U.S.A writes: "One of the best remedies for infections is strong chamomile tea. Our family has used this for many years. An elderly woman we knew years ago, fell down the stairs which resulted in an ugly infection in her hand. She was diabetic and the doctors could not heal her. My mom made a pan of strong chamomile tea and the woman soaked her hand in it for 15 minutes. Immediately you could see a difference. She continued doing this for a few days and was completely healed. It is best to make the tea fresh each time. Thank you for this excellent website!"

CHLOROPHYLL
05/18/2010: Anonymous from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Usa writes: "Chlorophyll said to help/prevent diabetes
From: http://grande.nal.usda.gov/ibids/index.php?mode2=detail&origin=ibids_references&therow=571492
Title: The chlorophyll metabolite phytanic acid is a natural rexinoid--potential for treatment and prevention of diabetes.
Abstract: "Synthetic ligands of the retinoid X receptor (RXR) have shown antidiabetic activity in mice, apparently owing to the fact that they stimulate the transcriptional activity of PPAR-gamma/RXR heterodimers, much like thiazolidinedione drugs. The chlorophyll metabolite phytanic acid has been shown to be a natural ligand for RXR, active in concentrations near its physiological levels. It is thus reasonable to suspect that phytanic acid may have utility for treatment and prevention of human type 2 diabetes. Phytanic acid may mimic or complement various effects of conjugated linoleic acids, which have been shown to activate PPAR-gamma/RXR and prevent rodent diabetes. Administration of hydrolyzed chlorophyll may represent the most cost-effective strategy for raising human tissue levels of phytanic acid."

COLD SHOWERS

[YEA] 02/01/2009: Sushan from London, UK writes: "cold shower therapy to reduce blood sugar:
cold shower therapy to reduce blood glucose, and get lots of other health benefits. as someone with type 2 diabetes i have been experimenting off and on over 2 years or so with cold showers. they definitely work to reduce blood sugar, by encouraging the cells to utilise the glucose.
some tips :
1. for sustained benefit, its necessary to habituate to cold water( colder temperature is better, ideally around 10 degree centigrade , so it helps to live in a cold climate). It will probably take about a month to habituate. You know this has occurred when you dont really feel the cold after a minute or so of the cold shower, but instead feel quite deatached from consideration of the temperature- you dont really mind it; infact you rather enjoy the sensation.
2. duration: best results occur when the duration of the shower is upwards of 3 minutes ( it takes 3 minutes for blood to make a complete circuit of the system )to 15 minutes. I personally aim for 2 cold showers a day, 11 minutes each time. morning and evening. self- massage your body during the shower to stimulate circulation, and warm the body. Peripheral circulation (PC) is an issue with diabetes - i have found my practice has significantly improved my own PC- but the self massage is essential especially where the body feels cold.
3. wrap up well after the shower, incl thick socks and if you take longer showers (over 6 minutes) ensure the body temperature has returned to homeostasis before venturing out.
4. caution - if you have diabetes with uncontrolled HBP or atherosclerosis , dont try this approch . At the start it can spike BP up , although its final effect on BP is benign and beneficial."

CORN SYRUP AND CHROMIUM DEFICIENCIES, DIABETES LINK

[YEA] 01/17/2008: Jasmina from Old Greenwich, CT writes: "Wanted to follow up with you re the last 2 posts I sent in December re heart palpitations, faintness, glucose intolerance and self diagnosed chromium deficiency. Since sending those posts, I have been to a naturopathic doctor in Los Angeles who diagnosed me as being pre-diabetic. A blood test run by my local physician here in CT has also revealed high glucose levels. Well, my family has no history of diabetes nor am I over weight. However, upon further research, I concluded that this change in my system may have come about over the past year after I moved in with my boyfriend and started going out to more restaurants and drinking horchatas (Mexican rice milk drink with cinnamon), sodas, sweet tea, all beverages that contain corn syrup. I think in the last year that I have greatly increased my consumption of high fructose corn syrup to my diet whereas when I lived alone, I rarely went out to eat and infrequently ate or drank anything with corn syrup. Here is some research that I wanted to share that back up my findings:
http://www.newstarget.com/009333.html
"Earl Mindell and Virginia Hopkins, authors of "Prescription Alternatives," blame our nation's sharp rise in diabetes on increased consumption of high-fructose corn syrup and the resulting depletion of chromium in the body. Chromium is important in helping glucose pass from the bloodstream into the cells. Mindell and Hopkins say that studies done at the US Department of Agriculture's Human Nutrition Resource Center reveal that consuming fructose in this form causes chromium levels to drop, in turn raising LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and impairing immune system function. "As our consumption of high fructose corn syrup has risen 250 percent in the past 15 years, our rate of diabetes has increased approximately 45 percent in about the same time period," said Mindell."
I no longer believe that my pre-diabetic condition was caused by the apple cider vinegar and baking soda, but, as I mentioned above, most likely the new addition of high fructose corn syrup to my diet. I will keep updating you as I learn more information. I hope this is helpful to people going through some of the same symptoms as I. PLEASE WATCH YOUR DIETS FOR CORN SYRUP!!!"

DIABETES MEDICATION WARNING
Ratings:
|
[WARNING!] 04/06/2008: C.R. writes: "Death by fatal heart attacks is a common side effect of diabetic medication. Even Glucophage product literature and the Physician's Desk Reference say that Glucophage can cause fatal heart attacks. Personally, I have known several diabetics who have died after taking Glucotrol and Glucophage.
After the last one died, I called my doctor. He said that the way that Glucophage and Gluoctrol kill is by progressive dehydration. As the body dries out, the blood gets thicker, he said. Thick blood gets harder and harder for the blood to pump. Eventually the heart gives out in a fatal heart attack.
Heart disease is now the second leading cause of death in the USA. Heart disase is also a complication of diabetes. Obviously, drugs that are known to cause heart attacks should never be prescribed, particularly to diabetics.
Saddest part: diabetic medication and insulin are totally unnecessary for Type II diabetics, according to Hungarian-born biologist Michael Somogyi. He advised the use of diet and exercise for the management of Type II diabetes. He also believed that Type I diabetics were overmedicated with insulin, which caused the now famous Somogyi or Rebound Effect. In the case of Type I diabetics, he felt that insulin could be reduced by 38%.
There are safer ways to lower blood sugar, such as using lquid chlorophyll (alfalfa extract), honey, cayenne peper, or apple cider vinegar. Some have been completely cured of diabetes by using honey or liquid chlorophyll. That means they no longer have to take any treatment because their body has returned to normal.
The dosage with liquid chlorophyll is one ounce, or shot glassful, in water twice daily. Alfalfa is a diuretic and should not be taken with the evening meal. Otherwise you ill be up all night running to the bathroom. It is said that liquid chlorophyll can cure diabetes in 3 months.
If that doesn't work, cayenne pepper is known to lower blood sugar. It can also cause vomiting in large doses. To avoid nausea after taking cayenne, you must build a tolerance to it. Start by taking a pinch of cayenne in water with each meal. Double the dose each day until you reach one teaspoon of cayenne in water with each meal. Peppermint and ginger can stop the nausea induced by cayenne if it is still a problem. In addition, cayenne is a laxative. Once your body adapts to cayenne, the laxative effect will stop.
Over time, you will build a tolerance to any medication, herb, or even exercise. Once you build a tolerance, the treatment will no longer work unless by then you have developed the placebo effect. In any event, it is wise to take a weeklong rest from every treatment once you have done it for 2 months or so. Then you can return to the treatment. During the rest, use something else.
Or you could use apple cider vinegar to lower blood sugar. There was a European study demonstrating that eating pickles with a meal lowered blood sugar in diabetics. Arizona State University then tested the effect of ACV with meals and found the same thing. The dosage is 2 tablespoons of ACV in water with each meal. The participants in this study also reported some weight loss.
Finally, scientists have known for years that the body makes its own inositol and that diabetics excrete a lot of it everyday. They also know that a deficiency of inositol causes diabetic neuropathy. Give it a shot.
P.S. Shirley Robinson says that Natural Transfer Factor cures diabetes. It is a derivative of colostrum, the liquid produced by mammals in the first few days after birth. Have read some amazing cures from people drinking raw colostrum - IF you can get access to a cow that has recently calved.
Additionally, the Weston Price site has an article by a medical doctor who researched the effect of raw cow's milk on diabetes at the Mayo Foundation, which was the predecessor of the Mayo Clinic. They obtained good results from a raw milk fast.
Stevia the herbal sweetener is also used as a medical treatment to lower blood pressure and sugar in South America. Assuming it is prescribed 3 times a day like most other herbal meds, the question is: how much? Although stevia is harmless, it is pricey at $43 a pound for stevia extract."
Replies04/21/2008: Alan Truly from Vista, CA, USA replies: "I saw the mention of stevia in the treatment of diabetes and just wanted to put some perspective on the price. Stevia extract can be up to 300 times sweeter than sugar, so you only use a tiny amount and it lasts a very long time. This makes it inexpensive compared to sugar.Anyone trying it should be aware that stevia is a good sweetener for beverages and supplemental sweetener for baking, but is not an exact replacement for sugar. It adds no bulk to a recipe, so you might want to use a combination of stevia and other sweeteners in baking."

I try to eat light on the carbs, no white sugar, I stick my finger 3 or 4 times aday. I do use insuline injections, in moderation, and when I have ate a high carb meal. The insulin will bring down the blood sugar, and so will the ACV. I tested one mourning at 200, then I took 2Tablespoons of ACV and 1/4 teaspoons of backing soda, let it fizz then added some water, about 1/2 cup, and chucked it all down. Then about an hour later I rememberd my high blood sugar,,I stuck my finger and it was 170, down 30 points!!!! So eat smart,,get out side and do something and sweat, I am 62 YO, I do my own yard work, work 40 hours a week on a night job, have a very small garden, and I read Earth Clinic and practice it. 09/22/2009: Julie from Ellwood City, Pa, Usa replies: "Gymnema Sylvestre is used successfully to keep blood sugars lower. It prevents the peaks occurring after eating. Also helps with insulin resistance. My father in law takes this herb once per day (400mg) in the morning. He was taking his oral medication and insulin injections twice per day -- AM and PM -- number of units dependent upon blood sugar readings. He usually always run around 350 to 400 in his readings. Since taking Gymnema Sylvestre, his blood sugar is now in the 145 to 155 range; he has stopped his AM and PM insulin injections. His Alc is also down slightly below 7. *** IF YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE GYMNEMA SYLVESTRE PLEASE MONITOR YOUR BLOOD SUGAR READINGS CLOSELY TO PREVENT HYPOGLYCEMIC EPISODES. As with my father in law, his medications have had to be adjusted."
09/19/2011: Wellspruce from Juneau, Ak, Usa replies: "Oh Dear God I thank those on this thread who post life-saving self-tested advice--my first post ever to say THANK YOU for the heads-up on Metformin. Dr. started me on one tab nightly six weeks ago and in followup even told me I could take two or three nightly if my blood sugars didn't come down--been ranging 90-150 or so. I've stuck with the one tab--just had a feeling I shouldn't increase. Thank You God for the prompt. I started 1.5T raw ACV 10 minutes just before eating two days ago, kept carbs under 100/da. and my four counts daily are a steady-on 120--EVERY TIME--waking and two hours after eating. I increased the ACV to 2T this morning and am eager to take count an hour from now. I PROMISE to report to you periodically my regimen and results. Thanks to whomever posted we need every two months to go off every supplement for a week to reset our bodies for the most effective use of them--I'll stagger time off of the different supps. I'll be doing that also and will replace ACV with one of the many remedies posted on EarthClinic."

DIETARY CHANGES

I'm 40 year old, 5.11ft height and 185Lbs(not overweight at all). I never ate junk food, I don't eat neither sugar or salt (in fact I don't even have any sugar nor salt in my house). I don't eat byt fat free food. I eat a handfull of almond, peanut and walnut (been eating it for the last 10 years), and I'm ver healthy physically. Except I'm addicted to pita bread. I eat almost 700g every day unitl I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I immediatly knew the culprit: it's the Pita bread. I stopped it immediatly, preparing my own flax and almond bread, and I don't have the diabete anymore."
Replies07/01/2011: Dove from South, Usa replies: "Pita bread is fine within reason. Any kind of bread or cereal is high in carbs (aka "sugar"). Because you ate no other type of sugar, it's understandable your body craved it, and consequently over did the pita bread. Also, in my experience with blood sugar issues, it helps to always try to balance your carbs/fats/protein. I never eat any carb without protein and a little fat. A turning point for me (also did without sugar and salt for way too many years) was to begin using raw honey (preferably local) and lots of sea salt. I bodies need sea salt (not refined table salt), and good healthy types of unrefined "sugar" (especially our brain), like whole grains and raw honey. In reasonable amounts, of course :-)

DIETARY RECOMMENDATIONS

[YEA] 04/30/2009: Jim from Peoria, IL writes: "I read about a remedy for diabetes. It has been suggested one should use apple cider vinegar. (Usually a teaspoon in an 8 ounce glass of water). Not only is this very nasty to drink, but it doesn't work, and here's why.
Diabetes, like cancer and other "nasty diseases" require an acid environment to survive. Vinegar, in ANY capacity, is an acid.
I had diabetes, and got rid of it in 6 weeks. I could give a long drawn out explaination, but you would probably just skip over it, and look for the meat of the answer, so in a nutshell, here it is.
There are essentially 4 things you need to get rid of diabetes. Try them... you have nothing to lose and it can take as little as 3 weeks.
They are:
Eat foods rich in fiber (beans (not canned), etc...) and low in carbs.
Cut out the soda, cakes, pies and candies! (Especially the DIET stuff.) The diet stuff is worse, as they contain aspertame, a known carcinogenic... remember the first 3 letters in diet...
D I E!
Exercise... even if it's just walking (I walk about 2 miles a day).
Questions? Feel free to write me.
Thanks,
-Jim"

07/10/2010: Dezi from San Jose, Ca, Usa replies: "As for dietary recommendations, I've found what seems to be such an easy remedy! My dietician told me I needed to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Wrong. I've been doing this for so many years. All I did was switch to different timing based on the time clock of the hormone leptin. There's lots on the internet about this, and I've read a book called "The Leptin Diet," and it contains such detailed information about how it works. Basically, all you need to do is eat three moderate meals a day, allow 3-5 hours between meals, no snacking, and especially no food before bed. If you must, you can do 4 meals a day, leaving about 3 hours between meals. Leave as long a period before bedtime without eating. E voila! Blood sugar has normalized!"
07/11/2010: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Would you maybe like to post your review of the book in the book review section? It will be easier to find if anyone needs it. I have an aunt struggling with diabetes and with all the small meals a day, maybe it will help her."

ELIMINATE WHITE FLOUR

[YEA] 03/03/2007: Mir Ar from Montréal, Canada writes: "Do you want to quit being diabetic?
If yes, then do what I did to get rid of that horrible, unwanted, and man-made so-called disease, before you will become insulin-dependant.
More than three years ago, I was diagnosed diabetic class 2 by my family doctor- after he received the result of my blood test. He told me my blood glucose was around 9mmol/L and I should take medication to keep it normal. He wrote for me Metformen and I bought that and the blood tester Bayer Elite, started taking Metformen 1 tab twice a day and two blood test as well. I was worried and started testing all sorts of food items, cutting this and adding that. The glucose level staid in the morning around 6.8; 6.5; 7.5mmol/L and so on. Two years passed like this and I never managed to bring the glucose down to between 4 and 6mmol/L, although I reduced my weight to normal level as advised by my doctor. I decided to go to an Endocrinologist, a known diabetes specialist. He had my blood tested for him and found it over 7mmol/L and approved that I am diabetic class 2. I have been going to my specialist each three months with test results of different levels. This Metformen that he also said to continue, I took it regularly and irregularly fearing its side effects. Meanwhile, I have been visiting many Internet sites concerning diabetes and making copies of their suggestions and ideas for how to survive with the disease. I was confused with all the information that I was collecting and slowly started abandoning myself to this so-called diabetes type2.
Only about four months ago, amongst my fluctuating depression, I got a new hope and saw a light at the end of the tunnel. And that -after I read articles on the Internet about the types of grains and breads available on the market. Facts, like miss-labeling breads as 100% whole wheat written on its package while the content is not really . and so on, created a lot of doubt in the bread which I have been eating for years. I started questioning the round flat pita bread with its label 100% whole wheat to which I was addicted and eating three of it per day -one with each meal. Under the recent influence, I also started questioning my other food items. Immediately, I stopped buying pita bread and instead, I bought other types of bread from a store with so-called organic products and elsewhere with labels on them saying 100% whole grain. These bread being dark, harder and heavy and some of them cost more than four times the round pita bread. It was a disaster for me who was addicted to the taste of the pita bread and these new breads did not taste good with any thing that I combined them. I also introduced brown basmati rice and potatoes to my regular diet. Unfortunately, unlike European cities where all sorts of good and whole grain breads are available everywhere in all big food stores, I have to drive 6KM to another small town on the South Shore of Montreal to buy the right bread in a limited organic products' store and for a lot more - compared with European circumstances.
From the day when I started eating dark and heavy whole grain wheat bread, my blood glucose level, fasting in the morning, measured to my surprise around 5,4mmol/L and sometimes closer down to 4mmol/L. I started doubting in the results and counter-tested my blood immediately with my second tester which showed the same result or slightly lower. I could not believe all this, became excited and started talking to my surrounding and friends that I am healed and that diabetes is a big lie and a man-made disease. When I go back to the Internet sites that I was often visiting or seeking advice and see again the world of medicine in total confusion regarding diabetes type 2, I am falling automatically into the conclusion that this disease is created by the industry having manipulated the mother nature's perfect grains. And has created the so-called White Enriched Flower from which is made the bread and other confectionery products of the majority of people in North America and around the world.
I also started thinking to save my sister who is already an insulin-dependant type2 diabetic person. But that seems a very difficult thing to do, for the time being, as I have to study more and understand to what degree her pancreas is still functioning.
I am not a medical professional- only a layman. But my intuitive relation with my own body and the close consultation with my sister drive me to say that human beings are pushed into a disastrous situation where the capacity of the metabolism of the human biological machine is overwhelmingly exceeded by the over-manipulated food products; especially by the impoverished white flour combined with the excessive use of refined sugar in the confectionery products.
I don't eat, anymore, things made with white enriched flour, confectionery products, refined sugar, candies and thus I am not diabetic any longer. I eat large quantities of sweet fruits (fresh and dried ones) like apples, pears, oranges, a lot of sweet grapes and raisins, dates, figs and to my surprise maple syrup which I like so much and which I did not dare eating before my great discovery. I tested the pure maple syrup (those made in Quebec, Canada) twice and the next morning my glucose was normal. Now I use a tablespoon of it deliciously with my coffee. I am not a biochemist neither related to any maple syrup businesses of any kind, but my body says maple syrup is not a refined sugar. Once on a German health Website, I read an advice - diabetic person should not eat a lot of potatoes at once because it rapidly raises the blood sugar level. I had that in mind when I was a so-called diabetic. But now I eat as much potatoes as I like and it has no more bearing on my blood. My blood glucose level is normal everyday and every time I measure it. Do you want to see my test logbook? Only try to do what I have done and you will have your own good results and you will stop calling your self diabetic.
Before the appearance of the ''impoverished'' white flour, our mothers at home and the confectionery businesses on the market were sifting the whole intact wheat flour to get rid of some of its bran part only - in order to make it adaptable for their pastry use. But those confectionery products, then, did not drive us into diabetes type2- because the flour contained all of the rest of its natural composition. The present day poor white flour has driven us to diabetes type2- already to today's epidemic scale. I read some facts about the white flour on this site: http://choosetoprosper.com/enriched-white-flour.html What else will the industry do further to make more and more money? Is this happening inside a democratic world? No, it is happening under the circumstances of a rotten un-controllable corrupt capitalism, where it has been given sky as the limit. Does capitalism protect us? No, it does not. Did communism protect those who were claiming it was? No it did not and will not. Under the latter there was only one giant capitalist which was having everything for its self and hushing its victims. In our rotten capitalism on the contrary, we have unlimited number of capitalists on the free market who are not yet, luckily, capable of stopping us from thinking or expressing our thoughts. But they will not protect us, because their job is to make as much money as possible and that by any means possible. Whether we live, become sick or die they are ready to exploit all circumstances to make money and survive on the market. For example, take a private hospital run by one or a bunch of private owners. The best is if the hospital were full of patients whether they will be cured or die in it, it would not matter. Whatever the service provided, the most profit must be made. What if the people will be all healthy in the range of the said private hospital and there will be no more patients coming in- the hospital will go bankrupt, closed and soon out of the market.
But the industry is creating millions of patients by all sorts of manipulations in the Mother Nature's genuine products in order to make money and an order not to go out of business.
Are all the present rules, laws and millions of judges and lawyers capable of protecting us against this savage capitalism? Does the well spread and organized corruption allow anything to be changed toward the better? If we are able to look around us and see the ever-growing number of degenerated and fat human bodies barely displacing themselves - women, men and more and more children, we will understand that we cannot abandon ourselves to this kind of capitalism.
Then, in the name of God, who has given us wisdom and obligation to protect our families, and ourselves what is there that can protect us? I am convinced that only The Democracy can protect us. Now, where is The Democracy, that can protect us? That Democracy will have to be built by us, in the structure of which there will be at least three independent political parties and powerful and real opposition. From the platform of The Democracy it will not be possible to build an empire or go on wars against other peoples of this globe. And if all the peoples of this globe will be permitted and encouraged to build The Democracy by themselves and within their own culture and circumstances, then we will be all capable of defending our rights within it and be protected by it.
I wonder how many people are suffering from or dying of diabetes type 2 epidemic and its related cardio-vascular diseases, blindness, amputations. etc. per day on the world scale. And how many of those are on the verge of having their pancreas almost disabled under the impact of the impoverished white flour products and ready to become insulin-dependant.
A non-controllable capitalism drives the society toward a gradual and collective suicide in which the capitalists themselves are also victims. Only The Democracy will be capable of defining the limits and domain of free competition and be sensitive towards the importance and fragility of the Good Capitalism."

FLAX SEED

[YEA] 01/26/2009: Lilian from Atlanta, Georgia writes: "At the beginning of the year (2009) my husband and I went on the famous cabbage diet (more as a cleansing mechanism than for weight loss). My husband was diagnosed with diabetes II 3 years ago. His starting fasting glucose was 260. We kept his sugar at the 130 range fasting over the past 3 years with medication. Well, a week after the diet his sugar had gone to 110 -fasting. Now 3 weeks later it has gone to 89-105 fasting. We thought the diet changes (we have been more careful about what we put in our mouth) made the difference. However we just realized that at the beginning of the year he also changed from fish oil cabs to Flax oil (2 in the morning, 2 at night). We believe the mix of cleansing our bodies of toxins and the use of flax has contributed to his low sugar levels. He continues to take his Metformin, but we hope to discontinue (or lower dose; from 2 a day to just 1) in the next month or so. P.S: because of his diabetes, while on the diet, he had a low sugar (1g) bowl of cereal in the morning and 1 at night if he felt hungry."

GREEN BANANAS

[YEA] 08/07/2008: Dennis from Dillingham, Alaska writes: "Ok I know this is not about lupus but in a way it is , iv always been interested in it .that is my sister died from it and I did a lot of research on it. I thought until I read here about it on this site. I hope this will help you what I have found out. I'm in the Philippines now . Iv been eating green bananas don't laugh, nobody here eats green bananas until I got here. its about Resistant Starch and green bananas are the best. Good bacteria eat it, then the bad bacteria and viruses are killed and pushed out. A lot of diseases come from our stomach. Well Marcia's brother Mitchie has diabetes type 2 for over a year. For the past 4 weeks his blood sugar remains normal with out medication and he does not eat a diabetic life style. he even drinks alcohol and his blood sugar remains normal. Yes he is eating green bananas. Now there's a guy next store that had his big toe amputated and the doctor wants to amputee his foot but he said no. it could not heal an open sore on his foot yes he is a diabetic 1 he takes shots. He could not work bed ridden So I got him on green bananas and his sore is healing and now is walking around and working. I have him using silver water for his foot too. Now that is something I think do some research on your own on the digestion system and especially on Resistant Starch."
Replies11/18/2008: Rhonda from Tallahassee, FL replies: "A few green bananas may be okay, but be warned that excessive consumption of green bananas has been previously linked to development of congestive heart failure due to heart fibrosis. It was speculated it to be due to heart valve disease/serotonin."
EC: Rhonda, would you kindly cite your source? We cannot find any documentation to validate this. Thanks.
11/19/2008: Pat from Birmingham, England replies: "As Earth Clinic requested - I am also curious to learn of any research regarding heavy consumption of green bananas. I am also curious to learn the following: in what eaten form can over- consumption affect one's health and in what form is it healing as used in the Phillipines? I am guessing that it must be cooked as eating green bananas is not likely.
Incidentally, in the Caribbean boiled green bananas is a staple in the diet. I cannot refer to any statistics but I am familiar with people who consume it a few almost daily and the live past 80 years.
I am very eager to learn more about this as well.
Thanks in advance.
Pat"

GREEN JUICE

[YEA] 12/23/2010: Ti from Houston, Tx, Usa writes: "My fasting blood sugar went from 128 to 84 in a matter of 6 months. I avoided all sugar, starchy vegetables and fruits, as well as white rice and flour. What helped me tremendously was drinking 1-2 pints of organic green vegetable juice daily. Main ingredients in this juice are celery, cucumbers, parsley, ginger, and occasionally I will throw in spinach, bok choy, and other green vegetables and herbs for different taste and flavor. Absolutely no fruits or root veggies like carrots, beets, etc in this juice. I experienced an amazing shift in energy levels, more stable blood sugar levels, which eliminated the high-low sugar spikes, which in turn led to more walking on my part to lead to a 50 lb weight loss. GREEN JUICE is an excellent remedy for unstable sugar levels, and host of other disorders. Google Gabriel Cousens, David Wolfe, Gerson Therapy for more detailed info on how it benefits the body."

[YEA] 08/24/2007: PAM from Kansas Ctiy, MO writes: "I LOVE THIS WEBSITE. THE THOUGHT OF LOSING SO MANY LOVED ONES RECENTLY MAKES ME VERY SAD. HAD I KNOWN ABOUT EARTH CLINIC, PERHAPS THEY WOULD STILL BE HERE. I HAVE BEEN USING SEVERAL DIFFERENT REMEDIES. I TRIED THE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE METHOD FIRST. I USE IT IN MY WATER MOSTLY, BUT SOMETIMES I USE THE SPRAY PUMP. I SMOKE HEAVILY AND MY BREATHING HAS CHANGED SO MUCH FOR THE BETTER. I HAVE MUCH MORE ENERGY AND OVERALL FEEL GOOD. I AM DIABETIC AND HAVE VERY DRY PEELING FEET. I SOAK MY FEET IN ENOUGH WATER TO COVER THE TOP OF MY FEET AND ADD ABOUT 1/2 C. PEROXIDE TO THE WATER AND SOAK ABOUT 30 MINUTES OR LONGER IF I HAVE THE TIME. AFTER 2 TIMES, I COULD SEE MY FEET START TO HEAL. ALSO, I FOUND 3% PEROXIDE WITHOUT STABALIZERS AT THE FAMILY DOLLAR. I CAN TASTE THE DIFFERENCE. THANK YOU SO MUCH."

08/19/2010: Caroline from Americus, Ga. replies: "Also interested in the use of peroxide. What is the significance of unstabilized form? I've been told by a doctor not to use peroxide to clean cuts, etc. Because it continues to degrade tissue."

H2O2
02/22/2011: Tpaul126 from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada writes: "Hi, I am type 2 diabetic. No matter what drugs I take my suger level is still very high. The next is to take insulin which I am wary about. I am exploring H2O2 on sugar levels. Had anybody got their sugar levels under control using H2O2? If so, would be be kind enough to share what dosage you used and how long did it take to control it.
Thanks a million in advance. I love this site.. Thomas"
02/24/2011: Terry from Qulin, Mo replies: "H202 is great but for type 2 diabetes or more correctly metabolic disorder what you need is niacin bound chromium and chelated vandium one is needed to make insulin the other is needed to take it into your cells another problem is the insulin cannot get into the cells because the cells are coated with fibirin and the cell walls are very rigid caused by cross linking from eating transfat oils such as margerine to clear away the fibirin take nattozimes or pancreatic enzymes at night on a empty stomach to soften the cell walls take dha and epa as in fish oils also lecithan and walnuts work also. Then walk 20 minutes a day non stop at a good pace preferably in morning and do not eat any food that is white. two weeks of this your blood sugar will be down in safe range also eat as much raw food as possible."

HOMEOPATHY
12/26/2010: C.visweswara Rao from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India writes: "I am a Diabetes Patient since 16 years. Over the years, all symptoms crept in. I am using Homoeopathy. But, no relief. Luckily, someone has suggested using Homeo Drug LACHESIS. I have started using it and got relief from all the symptoms but for a limited period. Then I have increased the dose : 30, 200, 1M, 10M. Surprisingly, all my symptoms vanished and I got so much of relief. But the duration of relief is directly proportionate to the power I have used that is, 4 months of relief when used 10M and then all the symptoms resurfaced.
Now, my request is, as per the policy of Homoeopathy LIKE CURES LIKE, what is the correct Power that I should go for to be relieved permanently of the symptoms? Also, I request to confirm whether the LACHESIS has got the record of curing all Diabetic symptoms? Shall I go for more power or is it detrimental in the long run? I shall be grateful if you could throw some light on these aspects please."

HONEY

[YEA] 02/23/2008: Omar from Khobar, Saudi Arabia writes: "Hello, My name is Omar, and I am from Saudi Arabia. First of all I'd like to express my appreciation for such valuable rich site. What I want to share with you is about using honey on the skin of a diabetic. As you know, an injury could be very fatal for a diabetic. My father developed a very late stage of diabetes. Once he had an injury in his hand, and the wound developed very badly. The doctor put him under a very strict diet with daily dressing for the wound, by water and salt. We know from our relegion that Honey is a cure, in general, and for specific health problems like dierea. So we tried to apply honey, after washing the wound and surrounding area with water and salt, on the wound(externally on the skin) that had 1.5 cm height full of buzz. We did this every day, continously for 10 or 15 days. We were amazed to see the wound noticably decreased in height and buzz material started to disappear from the first day of application. The wound was completely healed with no scars or a trace that there was a wound in that area.Thank you for readig and hope this was useful. Omar, Saudi Arabia."

[YEA] 01/24/2008: Brenda from Albertville, AL writes: "i had surgery in Nov.,2007 to remove damaged breast tissue caused from a car accident. a couple weeks after surgery, I had what looked to be a blood blister. It proceded to open up, drain and cause considerable pain and redness accross almost the entire breast. The cream the Dr. gave me seemed to keep the area too moist and it kept oozing. After talking and research I decided to try honey. The area which had started to look like a diabetic ulcer or bedsore, looked better the next morning , I continued to use about 1/4 tsp of raw honey on a cotton pad, I just placed it so the honey would be sure to get completely into the wound. It has been a little over a week and my Dr. was amazed at how well it is now healing."
