Liver Cirrhosis Remedies
"Cirrhosis... is a consequence of chronic liver disease characterized by replacement of liver tissue by fibrosis, scar tissue and regenerative nodules (lumps that occur as a result of a process in which damaged tissue is regenerated),... leading to loss of liver function. Cirrhosis is most commonly caused by alcoholism, hepatitis B and C, and fatty liver disease, but has many other possible causes. Some cases are idiopathic, i.e., of unknown cause."

REMEDIES NEEDED
03/22/2012: Elena from Katy, Tx, Usa: "This is my question for Ted, or anyone who can help. My brother is in the intensive care with the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis, internal bleeding from varicose veins (1-2 stage) in the oesophagus and ascites. He is very weak (borderline unconscious) and is not able to speak.
The doctor managed to stop internal bleeding. What can be done to save his life and make a recovery?
I would appreciate any help from wonderful people of this amazing website. I need your help urgently. Thank you!"

03/22/2012: Marilyn from Milpitas, Ca replies: "Cirrhosis liver means the person needs more hydrating water to drink. 8 glasses recommended daily.Cayenne is recommended by Dr Christopher to stop internal bleeding & external also. Make it like a tea.
1 teaspoon per cup boiled water. Let steep 5 -10 minutes & drink. For external bleeding shake powder on sore. Stops bleeding right away.
A friend of mine years ago had a bleeding stomach ulcer & drank the tea by the gallon & when he got into the drs office they told him it looked like the ulcer had been cauterized.
Hope you can help, your brother is my prayer.
Marilyn"
03/25/2012: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Bleeding may be helped with vitamin K1 100 mcg x 5, and vitamin K2 100 mcg x 5. Liver cirrhosis needs granulated lecithin 1 teaspoon tube fed, twice a day, and vitamin C 500 mg x 8 times a day. The best vitamin K is Glakay, 15 mg x 5 times a day, it is K2 M4, but it isn't available, generally speaking. The N Acetyl Cysteine non-effervescent is given 250 mg x 8 times a day, initally to detox as it is a precursor to glutathione.Ted"
03/28/2012: Elena from Katy, Tx replies: "Dear Ted, thank you for your answer, I have more questions for you regarding my brother condition. He is still bleeding, not much, but his stool is black. He is also suffering from brain and liver encephalopathia, pnemonia, ascites. He is in russian hospital. Doctors are using vit K3, vit C (less than you suggest), vit B complex, they refuse to use Acetylcystein because it can provoke more bleeding. They use of cause a bunch of other drugs. There is no tube because of possible bleeding, so no lecetin. We manage to find vit K1 here, no vit K2. What else can be done? Thank you. God bless you."

04/05/2012: Al from Montreal, Quebec/canada replies: "Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about the conditon.. My wife has been through this 2 years ago and also was treated for a bleed.. The vein must be tied to stop the blood flow.. She hasn't had a bleed for 2 years now.. However, she does take Nadalol once daily to prevent any bleeds.. She also had to change her nutrition.. She still has ascites and must be drained every 3 months now for a few liters.. Besides this she feels great.. Of course she must eliminate 2-3 times daily to prevent the toxins from building up.. She hasn't used Lactulose for a long time now.. There are alot of follow-up blood tests.. I feel for you and hang in there..."

Replies08/12/2011: Jay from Toronto, Ont, Canada replies: "To Janjan23 from Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines:Milk Thistle is one of the best herbs for protecting the liver.
However if there is already liver damage there are only 2 natural products that will provoke the liver into making new healthy tissue. One is tomato juice and the other is German Camomile. Drinking 3 cups of German Camomile tea each day has been shown in lab tests to cause a liver to regrow healthy liver tissue as required. In one lab test, part of a healthy liver was removed and grew back with regular ingestion of German Camomile tea."
08/12/2011: Paula from Denver, Colorado replies: "Hello - just wanted to tell you that I had a raging case of Hep C and was in need of a liver transplant. I did not take the drugs - I ate 80% organic instead - all juiced or blended foods, no meat, caffiene, no alcohol, only fresh juices and water for 3 months while taking high amounts of Milk Thistle and Alpha Lipoic Acid. I also had weekly colon-hydro-therapy (you can all do wheat grass enemas and take epsom salt baths) Within 3 months my liver started to repair and although some people call it "remission" - I have no symptoms of a cirrotic liver, no pain and no viral load when blood is tested... I continue to take the alpha and Milk Thistle and get massage and have regular colonics to de-worm and detox."
08/29/2011: Vincent from Boise, Idaho replies: "Would you please elaborate with regard to "juiced and blended foods"... I don't understand... Thank you"

02/11/2011: Raj from Princeton, Nj: "Any tips for those in early stages of liver cirrhosis?"
Replies02/11/2011: Karl from Vienna, Austria replies: "Hi Raj,
Try milk thistle and tumeric. Both herbs have great antioxidative effects. If they cannot cure your cirrhosis they might stop progression of the disease.
Best wishes,
Karl"
02/25/2012: Keith from Merced, California replies: "There's a product all over the internet called Liv-52 which claims to have 277 clinical trials and in some articles claims to cure liver disease. Myself, my brother and a friend have had good improvement within 3-4 weeks. The product is watered down some and called LiverCare for the US market. If you use the US version... I take a little more to bring it back up to the international dose. Google it and check it out. It's not exspensive either. Get the capsules not the pills."
