[YEA]  07/19/2007: Luis from Bklyn NY, NY: "I do suffer from diabetes for several years. Several weeks ago I went to the doctor and they told me that my cholesterol was quite high 210. I began taking ACV once a day 2 tablespoons a day. In about a month time my cholesterol went down to 160 and blood pressure to 1about 120/80. I noticed that it is suggested to take at least to take the ACV twice to three times a day. Also is the unfiltered product is being used. Has anyone used the capsules? Two tablets do contain 600 mg of ACV. What have been the results of using the capsules? Appreciate comments. Thank you"

My cholesterol has been consistently around 260-278 for the past three years, up from 220-230's. Should I take more? I don't want to go on medication. and my 'good' count is too low now. It all worries me."
02/24/2011: Peter from Hampton, Va. Usa replies: "You may need to take a look at your diet as well. Don't rely on one fix, but look at your overall health. Include exercise when possible. You may be one of the people that needs the meds afterall, but try some other fixs first."

[YEA]  05/27/2007: Raymond from Woodbridge, VA: "Benefits of ACV lowering Cholestoral: Very simple! I have been taking 2 tablespoons per day (morning and evening) and LDL has dropped from 218 to 199!"

[YEA]  03/17/2007: Linda from Upper Darby, Pa: "ACV is helping to bring down my high cholesterol. I am amazed how ACV is working for me,it's only been 3 months that I have tried this and my cholesterol came down from 231 to 222. I came across your site doing a search because somone told me how ACV worked for them. I started taking 2Tbs in the AM followed by a small glass of grape jucie. The grape juice helps with the bitter taste of the Vinegar. I am now increasing my ACV to 2X a day because I am so impressed. I had my blood work done this week and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it came down without even changing my diet! Now I am going to carefully watch my cholesterol intake and continue to drink the ACV and go back to my Dr. in 6 mo. and test it again. ACV is a great alternative to traditional medinations and I am now a true believer in it! I hope this helps someone else who is thinking of trying ACV! Continued Success to all!"

[YEA]  03/06/2007: Amela from Southport, USA: "After reading a lot of articles about dealing with gallstones in the USA, I found out that a little is mentioned, or not at all, about laser surgery that has been for long time in practice in european countries for removing gallstones. Ask your doctor about it... Also, a very good remedy for lowering or getting rid of a bad cholesterol is a homemade apple vinegar. It tastes like an apple cider, just it's very sour. If you have a chance to come across a book of bosnian homemade remedies, get it! Also, dates are very good fruit for the women who cannot get pregnant."

[YEA]  01/07/2007: Nicholas from Cibolo, TX: "2 TBS of ACV, 12 ounces of grape juice and 2 TBS of pure honey... I'm not cured yet, but I believe this is going to work for my high cholesterol. 'I'm a 46 y/o black man with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm currently taking plendil for high blood pressure. About a month ago I had my cholesterol checked and it was 282. My LDL is 199. I looked at your website today and immediately went to the store to get some grape juice, honey and ACV. In about 30 minutes of drinking this recipe I started felling better. My head is clear and I got a little pep in my step. I'm going to continue taking this remedy and have my cholesterol checked in a month. I know it's going to be better. God makes the simplest things to fix our big problems."

[YEA]  11/27/2006: Jennifer from New York: "I ran across this site recently. I've been looking for natural ways to lower my cholesterol and blood pressure without having to take a lot of pills every day. It never occurred to me that my fathers remedy to cure his children's illnesses would also prevent high blood pressure. My father drank 12 ounce mug of honey and apple cider vinegar in hot water every day for as long as I can remember. His cholesterol levels and blood pressure was never high. It was always normal. He did pass away several years ago due to a heart attack. However, this was not brought on by cholesterol or blood pressure. This was due to pneumonia, which he got every year for about 15 years. Still today, when I've feeling slightly ill, I make myself a cup of honey and vinegar. I made this for an ex about 3-4 years ago. He couldn't believe how much better he felt within 45 minutes after drinking honey and acv. He didn't believe me that it would work. He was amazed."

It's such a pleasure to be able to pass on such good news. God bless you all."

[YEA]  06/23/2006: John from Woodhaven, NY: "I was told by my doctor that my cholesterol was high (240). He put me on medication (lipitor.) I tried the medication for a couple of weeks but began to feel pain in my muscles, it felt like getting acupuncture, like if someone was inserting needles into my muscles. I called the doctor right away and he told me to stop taking the medication, he told me to try to diet and exercise. I did a little research and found info on apple cider vinegar . I also bought flax seed oil, fish oil, ester "C"and garlic supplements @ a local health food store i tried all of this for a couple of months along with exercise such as riding my bike. I recently did another blood test and found out from my doctor that my cholesterol was back to normal ranges! i was also suffering from acid reflux, which is also gone. I used to get pain in my chest which was from the acid reflux I used to think I was having a heart attack but it was the acid reflux which is also gone. the apple cider vinegar sure does work."

[YEA]  T Parker from Easley, South Carolina: "Apple Cider Vinegar Lowered Cholesterol Drastically! Found out about this site when i was looking for natural alternatives to lower my cholesterol, i was on Lescol Xl-80mg, but it was damaging my liver, so they put me on Zeta 10mg, but that only knocks the numbers down by around 30 points. My problem is that my cholesterol was well into the 300's, so i followed directions found within these forums, went on a diet and added apple cider vinegar to my routine. There were so many versions of how and when to take it, so i take 2 tablespoons in water 2x daily. After having only taken it for a little over a week i went back to the doctor for blood work and my cholesterol was at that reading 185, i'm sure its even lower now!One thing i would like to point out is that i take the organic vinegar, which has "not" been heated with the "mother" intact, also because of acid/teeth issues, i drink it through a straw and rinse my mouth with baking soda water before and after. So i really thank God for this site or i would NEVER have known about the miracle that is apple cider vinegar! Now, i'm off to find a remedy for the damage the Lescol XL 80mg did to my liver, but i am confident i'm gonna find it here!"

Sometimes it is also called Functional Medicine or Orthomolecular Medicine. If you use a chiropractor or other natural practicioner, your insurance probably won't pay for it. If you cannot afford insurance, use a naturopath or nutritionist. It is also not necesary to purchase your supplements from your practicioner. You will pay double for them. There are many quality brands but cheapest is probably not best quality. Check out Consumerlabs.com. I use iherb. Com, vitacost. Com, amazon. com, and luckyvitamin.com."

I went to the doctor three weeks ago(3/18/ 12).. They thought I had an artery blocked. I did the radio isatope(nuclear) test and everything came back perfect.. My blood pressure was 113/68(im 41yrs old).. I started working out doing interval training(AKA getting my heart rate up and down every 5min from 100 to 135 and back for 1 hour)this alone lowered my sugar every single time... Started the acv (1table spoon 3times a day)cocnut oil(1 tsp 3 times a day).. My new results--sugar avg is now in the low hundreds and even dips into the 90s (amazing considering im hypothyroid and pre diabetic).. My cholestrol as of today (4/15/ 12) total cholestrol is 158 (110 point drop)trygs 104 (63 point drop).. LDL is 101(59 point drop ) hdl 40 (2 point drop but was fine before.. I've only been taking the coconut oil and Apple Cider Vinegar for three weeks.. Amazing!!! Hope this can help someone.. Also.. No chest pains in the last 4 days.. I'm not saying that all this had anything to do with my chest pains nor the doctors but is kinda strange they suddenly stopped.. I'm still keeping up with the doctors just to make sure... Have a great day everyone.. Any people from houston or wherever want to contact me just reply here first and then we will see.."

Anyways, I've had high cholesterol for at least 10 years. Once, it was recorded as high as 350. Other times it's been 250 or 230... Anyways, I was put on Simbastatin.

I started waking up in the middle of the night feeling out of breath. My first few breaths would hurt my chest until my lungs became re-inflated. Finally, I put two and two together, and realized it was the Statin. so.... My blood test came in at 207, which is great for me..... 145ldl, 39hdl, 93 trig. BUT, breathing is a priority for me right now.

So, I told my doctor I'm not taking the drugs anymore. I now realize my hair loss, memory loss, etc.... could all be results of the statins I've been taking for nearly 5 years.

I'm going to try this ACV, and red rice yeast, and Lecithin...... and see what happens.

Wish me luck."
