HOW TO CALM CHILD W/ CEREBRAL PALSY
11/26/2011: Anonymous from Anonymous writes: "Please, I am desperately in need of help for my son with mild cerebral palsy. I have started using Ted's remedy. I started giving my son 2-3 drops of magnesium citrate dissolved in water (couldn't find magnesium chloride anywhere) but I have MANY doubts and questions for the following weeks of treatment. My son's aggressiveness isn't reducing. His biting / head banging is just increasing in spite of giving him magnesium baths and mag citrate."
11/24/2011: Anonymous replies: "Good morning Ted, I am facing a problem and hope that you could help me with it. My son is 4 yrs , diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. His right hand and right leg have stiff muscles, which makes his wrists and hands go limp. His leg turns inward, making him walk in a scissor gait. He has a speech delay, drools alot and cannot chew food properly. in fact, he cant eat at all unless i put him in front of the TV to gulp his food down.He tends to bite, scratch, beat kids. He has been removed from school. His immunity is very low and he constantly has runny nose and mucous in the throat. He gets aggressive very easily and at the same time wants to kiss and love children.
Please help my baby. I feel i am losing him each day. The neurologist gave him Sirdalud medicine for reducing spasm, but once the meds were over, his condition went back to square one.
I went through all your posts on cerebral palsy, but found some things confusing. Can you please give me the latest update on what i can give my 4 yr old son? is it safe to give those doses to this young child?
I am really praying that you reply to me doctor, i am very desperate for help. thank you and god bless!"
11/30/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Well I would concentrate on just a few things. If he's not calm the B3 niacinamide is the standard, it is both antifungal and has calming effects, it is usually the standard of first line treatment. The next thing is cerebral palsy patients has the presence of virus or other microorganism in the brain, the same is true for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other conditions. The infections come from during term pregnancy and the fetus was infected while in the womb. So the clearing up of this depends on the condition of cerebral palsy to treat. If the child has bad smelling stool or diarrhea, or constipated, it indicates that digestive enzymes and vitamin B complex is the starting point, usually a B50 will do or at least a B6 to help improve digestion, usually once a day for kids in general, except for kids below 3. If the child has ammonia smell in the urine, the pH of urine is way too alkaline and ammonia actually becomes the neurotoxin. Then you will acidify them with vitamin C ascorbic acid, to neutralized that, initially.
The spastic conditions may often be reduced with acetyl carnitine by increasing the mitochondrial energy in the cells. Glycine is considered an inhibitory amino acid, and threonine does the same as glycine and also helps the immune system, as most cerebral palsy patients have immune problems especially in the brain and neural systems. I also use N acetyl cysteine, to help detox the body, and this also works in improving the liver function--same as acetyl L carnitine.

12/01/2011: Anonymous replies: "Alhumdulila! thank you thank you thank you for your posts! May god bless you and your efforts for helping thousands of people like us :) As I read your previous protocols on CP, i had done the following things with my son since last friday:
1 - gave Magnesium citrate (a really tiny dose 2-3 times as i didn't know exact amount, also didn't find mag. chloride). the first 3 days on Magnesium, he was really calm, the 4th day he became very aggressive and also had a massive amt of mucous in nose n throat.
2- Avoided milk products as much as i could.
I have the following questions based on your email.
1. I found B 50 supplement (for adults, didn't find anything for kids), and vit c with rose hip (250 mg ). Can i start giving these and at what doses? Can i give it everyday for a week or more? Also, b3 n b6 aren't present at 50 mg each in this. should i buy extra and give it to him?
2. I started giving lysine (as per ur protocol) 400 mg divided for 4 hours, since yesterday. Is this dose alright? i am worried it may cause heart problems or other issues.
3. I have searched for supplements you mentioned at the last part of your email, but only found threonine and N acetyl cysteine. Can these help with his spasm in right hand n leg ? Will this also reduce his drooling? How many times should i give these 2 supplements along with b-50, vitamin c, lysine?
4. The place where i live has salty, hard water and we use mineral water only for drinking purposes. Also the climate is extremely humid and dusty. Do you think this causes more problems for my son ? how can i go about helping his immunity in this regard, as i would love to leave this place and go back to India (he is always better there in that tropical climate), but we have too many financial problems.
i can't believe you replied. :) PLs help me, i know your meds will help.
thank you."
12/1/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Magnesium citrate if it has that behavior appears to be performing a metal detox, which is why he is worse on the fourth day. Apparently the magnesium citrate has to be given 2 days on 3 days off, which will help detox the metals. The body's ability to excrete heavy metals is limited.
The massive mucous on the nose displays his detox system is lacking in N acetyl cysteine, which internally forms glutathione internally to help detox the body that is causing his cerebral palsy. Therefore the massive mucous may be reduced with two things, N acetyl cysteine, perhaps 100 mg x 1 first, before giving more later on and once a day sea salt, in a liter of water, such as 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt per liter of water. Glycine will help support some functions of glutathione synthesis in liver.
The B3 will help calm him down such as 250 to 500 mg of B3 niacinamide, but NOT niacin.
If lysine has you worried about other issues, it can be reduced to 100 mg every hour for four hours.
Threonine helps reduce spastic behavior, his drooling means the body somehow needs more N acetyl cysteine to detox. Check his urine, if ammonia smell, must acidify it with ascorbic acid vitamin C, this may be the problem associated with magnesium citrate, being a bit alkaline is not good, so we give him perhaps vitamin C, 500 x 3 ascorbic acid.
This is the basics of the treatment and it should help. The most expensive is the N acetyl cysteine. Get the powdered form or capsule form, do not get effervescent form. This effervescent form is toxic as they usually add aspartame in these effervescent products.
Ted"
11/30/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "You have to start him with B3 niacinamide 500 mg first. Then, get an amino supplement to help calm him down. With the magnesium citrate, you have to be careful about commercial sources as they tend to add other fillers to the mix to taste better, such as aspartame. That is one of the ingredients that is harmful and I would tend to carefully look at the labels.Chlorinated water he must avoid. You can use sodium thiosulfate, one crystal in a glass of water, to generally calm him usually within 30 minutes.

12/01/2011: Anonymous replies: "Dear Ted, Thank you so much for your response. you have no idea how much of a help this is to me. We have visited over 17 doctors over the past 2 years in dubai and india and NOBODY has provided us with appropriate meds or advice. Sorry to bother you with more questions, but I just wanted to clarify the following as per your email before i buy the other supplements:
- How many days do i give Acetyl cysteine, lysine, threonine, vit c, b3? maybe 4 days on and 3 days off?
- Can i give vitamin c and b3 along with the other supplements or during diff parts of the day? and maybe on the OFF days, should i continue with mg citrate?
- As of today, i have given him the second dose of lysine (as per the protocol). DO i finish lysine for this week and start all the other supplements next week or can i just start using them tomorrow? i ask, as i am worried about side effects from starting everything altogether.
- So far, i feel my son's spasticity has reduced in the right leg, a BIG achievement :) only after 4 days Mag citrate n 1 day of Lysine.
- I will continue the treatments as per your advice, as i really want his mouth/jaw muscles to start working, so that he can speak clearly. He has speech issues too.
Thank you fro everything. you have made such a difference in many lives and it will surely make a difference in ours, inshallah :)"
12/01/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "In response to your questions:
1. Magnesium used 2 days on and 4 days off is the best schedule for you. But vit C, if ascorbic acid, has to be continued every day, so is acetyl cysteine, and threonine for sure. B3 can also be continued. The only days off is probably the lysine, such as 3 days on and 4 days off, or 4 days on and 3 days off.
2. You can figure out very easy by giving separately, and then combine to test effect.
3. You can start, I doubt it will have any side effects.
4. Well you should see further improvement with threonine.
5. The magnesium and threonine will likely help. But as you know magnesium citrate for CP, preferred is chloride, so give it with ascorbic acid and magnesium citrate, to reduce alkalinity because I suspect there is ammonia in his urine.

12/03/2011: Anonymous replies: "Ted, my son is experiencing cramps... he is crying n unable to sleep, i rubbed coconut oil on his stomach to relieve him. he's constantly clutching his pelvic area... what should i do? should i stop treatment for one day? i am scared that he may need hospitalization if it increases too much, also, he has passed alott of gas since morning n loose stools (just once). but at least 4-5 times urine.
pls help, its 2 am here in dubai n he's crying, i hope its jus a passing phase and nothing serious. pls advice."
12/03/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "What are you giving? B3 500 mg will help. His stool is important if it smells it needs digestive enzymes or at least vitamin C. Is he responding to vitamin C ascorbic acid?
Ted"
12/03/2011: Anonymous replies: "am really sorry for yesterday's response... my son was crying and i was so scared if it were due to the meds i was givin him...
thank you for your prompt response. i really appreciate it.my son eventually went to sleep n woke up early today with very soft stools. i gave him lysine, started threonine, acetyl cysteine, vit c, n b50. yesterday. today, stopped lysine, tried to give him the above doses but he spat it out. will try again in evening. his spasm in his right leg n hand seems to have reduced since yesterday, but maybe its too soon to tell... will chk again tomorrow. I am just scared of him having cramps.
Another unusual thing he has started doing, is touching his hand on diff surfaces and then LICKING his hand. i scolded him, but it seems involuntary! Also, he keeps touching his teeth over n over, maybe experiencing some sensitivity.
Are these normal things to happen once the treatments are started? pls advice. also i cudnt find B3 without di calcium phosphate, have called up 5 pharmacies so far. everyone is giving me epsom salts instead of mag chloride. what do i do?"
12/03/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I don't think magnesium sulfate works well, for stool I prefer sennakot as they are easier to find. The reason why it does not work is that the supplements were given in the day, which is fine, but the lysine, threonine, and N acetyl cysteine, vitamin C was not given at night, the supplements' effects usually have positive effect for about 4 to 8 hours. But that means it is given hourly for four hours, in my experience. So if the duration is too long the effects wear off. That's what I have experienced. You have to monitor his urine smell, if it is ammonia then he needs at the very least, vitamin C ascorbic acid and he needs to get a stool not smelling, usually the B50 will help. To stop some of the effects of B3 and sodium thiosulfate (1 grain per liter) will help calm things down. Thiosufates detox a lot of chemicals that are toxic. Watch out for soap, and other things as it has bad reaction to these people.
Ted"
12/03/2011: Anonymous replies: "thank you again!
1. is vit B3 ( with di calcium phosphate ) ok 2 give my son ? it SOLGER brand. this is the only B3 available. will also give Sea salt in water 1L.
2 . also, i found this water de-clorinator for fish, but couldn't find sodium thiosulphate. Principle Ingredients: sodium hydroxymethane sulfinate, polyvinyl pyrrolidones, organic hydrocolloids, organic chelating compounds
3- So i should give him all supplements in the morning? will surely remember to do this.
4- I wanted to ask regarding ascorbic acid. i have a brand with rose hips. will this be too harsh on his stomach lining (cause of ulcers? sorry for this silly question)
5- his urine n stool do have a smell, but not sure if it's ammonia. He passed very loose stools today.
will surely keep you updated of his progress..."
12/03/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "It will be ok for now B3.
dechorinator will do, i would put a couple of drops in drinking water. It should calm things down, but in the long run sodium thiosulfate is available in camera shops and chemical supply stores.
Ted"
12/03/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The N acetyl cysteine can be sour, and some people don't like it, but you can add a little baking soda, which makes it easier to take. I think adding 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda will make it taste better or you can mix with some orange juice, which will make it taste better too.You cannot use EPSON salt. Sulfur doesn't agree with the system. If you want to leave out, one or two you can. It induces vomiting in some people.
B3 can be given with dicalcium phosphate for now, they don't add a lot in B3.
You cannot give D3 with dicalcium phosphate. Get the softgel, they don't have dicalcium phosphate. This is because D3 raises calcium levels.

12/10/2011: Anonymous replies: "good evening ted, I stopped all medication on wednesday (i thought maybe my son's body needed a break f 3 days at least before i re-start, for detox). Today i took him to physiotherapist as i was concerned about his arms and legs turning more inward after starting your protocol.i am happy to report that my son's arms have NO MORE SPASTICITY!!! alhumdulila hirabilla alameen (Thanks and praise to god, who is the Creator of all Mankind). His legs, especially pelvic area and hips still have spasticity, and the doctor recommended hot baths and swimming to be a good exercise. the doctor said his arms still look 'inward' because his body is trying to balance his unstable hip and legs.
I will restart protocol tomorrow, give it for 5 days and have a break for 2 days. Lets see if it brings more improvement inshallah. i cant tell you how happy i am, after so many doubts and lots of confusion, i can tell your remedies have worked very well so far :)
a big THANKYOU for your help and support :) God bless you"
12/11/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "It's nice to see his improvement. The important part is to carefully schedule the days on and days off. This is critical towards the healing. The body needs to detox the heavy metals and other chemicals from inside the body during the off period.
Ted"
12/13/2011: Ananamous from Riverdale, Ga replies: "I was to use pure magnesium citrate, would I still need magnesium chloride? I was thinking about buying 99% pure magnesium chloride that is use for fish tanks."
12/14/2011: Anonymous replies: "Hi Ted, With regards to my son, i have the following feedback:
1. Have started the protocol for the past 2 days. He has become very very calm and tries to reason out things now. His 'grabbing' of people to show his affection towards them still hasn't reduced yet, though.
2. I tested the tip of his tongue as he has started LICKING everything from the walls of the house, to the toilet, to dusty things to his fingers. His tongue has become extremely grainy (was very smooth before). Do you think i should reduce the dosage of Vit C? or is there some other cause? Also, his breath has started smelling very bad.
3. How much of Vit D would you recommend per day ? it is very cold here for a month, without much sunshine. SO i kno he's missing out alot on his Vit D. Is there any particular brand that you could kindly recommend?
please advise. I am very grateful to you for taking time out just to help people like us."
12/17/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "For your son:
1. It needs more time.
2. This behavior could cause grainy tongue. Zinc acetate or zinc gluconate should reduced the pica symptoms. Say 20 mg a day until he reduces the pica symptoms (the licking behavior).
3. About 5000 iu is a reasonable dose for children I think.Ted"
12/15/2011: Barbara from Oxford, In replies: "I think you would get good results by using Magnesium Chloride crystals (I buy them cheaply by the pound from Swanson's online) mixed with pure water to the point of saturation. Apply it liberally two or three times a day with a very fine mist spray bottle. This is the easiest way to absorb, and the easiest form for the body to use. Under my arms works well - I usually do about 6-8 pumps under each arm morning and night, and more often if I am having a bad day. I have a condition which gives me terrible muscle cramps and spasms, and as long as I apply this every day, my muscles are able to relax and I am mostly free of problems. I got my information from "Magnesium Miracle" by Carolyn Dean, where she talks more specifically about how much to use. Even though it is called "oil", it is really not oily. Some people experience a slight burning (I do not), and I read that you can wash it off after 15 minutes or so. I hope this helps. Good Luck."

ADVICE NEEDED FOR DAUGHTER W/ CEREBRAL PALSY
10/29/2011: Nicoletenner from Langley, Bc Canada writes: "Ted's remedies for cerebral palsy
My daughter is three with cerebral palsy... Spastic high tone quad.... I have a few questions if u could help? Her brain injury or cerebral palsy was caused by lack of oxygen just after birth, not an infection, do u recommend treating it the same? She was born premature with a twin.
She won't take pills."
11/29/2011: Zia from Dubai, Uae replies: "Dear Dr. Ted, my son is 4 yrs with mild cerebral palsy. His right leg turns inward, has flat feet and right hand is limp. His muscles are spastic and he drools alot. His immunity is very low and he constantly has colds, congestion, fever etc. He bites, has speech delay and is aggressive.I have started your protocol. I couldn't find mag chloride here, so I started giving mag citrate, crushed the tablets and let them dissolve in water. 3 days he was going great, but 4th day he became out of control, more aggressiveness with hitting, biting etc.
Should I start with B 50, Vit c ( he has leaky gut, I have ascorbic acid, should I buffer it to make it mild on his tummy?). Should I start with Lysine and threonine simultaneously or wait for Vit B n C to have effect on him? Also, am little confused with regards to how many times Lysine and thronine should be given the first week : is it 4 days and 3 days off or 4 days n rest 3 days lower dose? I hope the white blood cells do not overload his system. Please advise as I am looking forward to you valuable advice for several days. I know you are very busy, pls help me and my beautiful son."

YOUNG DAUGHTER WITH CEREBRAL PALSY, SUPPLEMENTS
09/16/2011: Anonymous from Anonymous writes: "Dear Ted, My daughter 7 yrs old has Cerebral Palsy. She can't sit/walk on her own but with support can sit. Her understanding is good. I have seen your remedy and started giving Vit C and ACV. But I find it very difficult in getting magnesium chloride, lysine, L threonine. since there is no branded tablets/capsules/syrup available readily. I don't fine any smell in her Urine but we found smell on her stool. Do we need to give magnesium chloride 70% solution? My question is:
1. Whether magnesium chloride procured as raw material and can be diluted with water to make 70% solution.
2. Likewise Lysine, L Threonine, EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Potassium citrate also prepared with water- Is it OK?
Your expert opinion in this regard sought. Thanks in advance."
09/26/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I suspect that a lot of cases of cerebral palsy are due to infection of mother during her pregnancy. While the placenta is a barrier to most bacteria, the nanobacteria and virus may infect the baby and live their life in the neurological system of the newly born. The method of treatment is to restore this, but I suspect you need a type of supplement that penetrates the blood brain barrier, such as sulbuthiamine, ascorbyl palmitate, which is oil soluble, but current chemical industries for lysine which penetrate blood brain barriers do not exist. But enough for the theories, based on her smelly stools it indicates faulty digestive enzymes, and this can be easily corrected by vitamin B complex, the ones I prefer is B50, which is more or less 50 mg of B1, B2, B3, B6, B7, B8, B9 except for B12 which is 50 mcg, taken for a week or two. This should improve her a lot. As to lysine, threonine, etc. you don't need branded tablets, but I prefer powder or capsule forms. India is well known for producing these but is not known for exporting to foreign countries, but China does. So you should be able to find them in India.

MOLD EXACERBATING SPASTIC DIPLEGIA?
09/11/2011: Anonymous from Anonymous writes: "Dear Ted, I have been reading your advice on the internet with great interest. Our son is aged 2 and has spastic diplegia (Little's Disease). The MRI has shown nothing out of the ordinary in his brain and he is a bright boy with full use of his upper body and intellect. I have started to wonder if he has a metabolic condition. This morning I was breastfeeding him and kept getting a whiff of a smell on his breath which I think is acetone but I am not sure. I have asked our doctor if we can get blood, urine and breath tests done as soon as possible so that we can try to diagnose what is happening. I have seen that you talk about neurotoxins. As I have been plagued by a persistent fungal infection of the feet which came on when I was pregnant with my first child (aged 5) and has persisted ever since. Also we live in an unhealthy house which has all kinds of molds which I understand create neurotoxins. I would love to move from here for that reason but we are strapped financially.
I have been reading through your recommendations for diet and supplements. I still breastfeed Archie and that is his main food source. If I follow your recommendations myself will this get into his body by my breastmilk? Or should I be getting Archie to take the foods and supplements himself? I am not sure how to put this request onto the website but am happy for you to paste it there so that it and your response may help others.
Thank you so very much."
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Certainly molds can produce neurotoxins, but acetone is also found very high in diabetes type I, which I suspect is from a virus invading the pancreas, causing pancreatitis, which can be stopped in most cases with lysine. The acetone production most likely from ketosis production of too much fats could also be a problem too. If the baby has as you suspected, acetone, it may mean the child has diabetes type I, from the infection of the mother due to fungus and virus (especially) during term pregnancy. Since the placenta contains high amounts of virus anyway (in fact it is in our genes, called endogenous retrovirus, such as HERV-K), it makes them easy to enter the baby, but it must weaken the immune system with a known fungus condition, to help enter the baby. It might be suspected, and you can check hospitals for this, pancreatitis in the baby and diabetes type I, or high sugar if you want. If so the typical remedy I used (the simplest, I have more), is lysine. If so, that is good news as spasticity may be caused by some sort of pancreatitis, but if not, it may mean other bacteria and fungus at work, or some sort of blood clots which is harder to treat.Ted"

7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH CP
07/16/2011: Anonymous writes: "Hello Ted - in researching a possible move to Thailand which would include my 7 year old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy, I came across some of your commentary on earthclinic.com. I am very concerned about moving to Thailand and leaving behind the therapies we currently utilize for her (Anat Baniel Method is the main one). However, I've been pretty pleased to find there are some options for us there, one of which is Thai massage. I saw a very interesting study on how it helped CP patients (in this document: http://ajp.physiotherapy.asn.au/AJP/49-4/AustJPhysiotherv49i4Abstracts.pdf).
Anyway, in doing more research on that I found your work with supplements. I am very interested in hearing more and figuring out what might be a good route to take with my daughter. She has Ataxic CP - MRI shows an underdeveloped cerebellum, she does not have enough balance to stand but is fine sitting and she bottom scoots mostly to get around.
Any information you can pass along would be most appreciated!!"
07/16/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I think why Thai massage works is that it helps mostly circulation, but I think you should use bromelain enzyme which goes deeper into getting the blockages out of the circulation. You have to understand also that there is presence of bacteria and virus in most cerebral palsy patients and therefore need multiple, antiviral natural supplements and antibacterial natural supplements and which I think Thailand is especially abundant.

4 YEAR OLD SON JUST DIAGNOSED WITH CP
01/21/2011: J. from Jakarta, Indonesia writes: "Hi Ted I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I found your blog about cp method. I just found out that my son 4 years old has cp diplegia. Here in Jakarta they don't have proper remedy for it. Can you please please help me with ur method that I can do it at home.Thank you so much for your help"
03/06/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The basic supplements has to deal with the issue of autotoxicity. Basically vitamin C, ascorbic acid should neutralize that if taken for a couple of days and is the simplest of the CP protocol. Vitamin B complex, such as B50, is taken to neutralize the toxins and support liver function. Lysine maybe now accessible in some countries and this should get immune systems up to kill the unknown pathogens that are neurotoxins. Lysine is also the simples remedy that you might be able to find. There is lack of CP here in Thailand and hence, I wasn't able to have a more exacting protocol. However, the lysine is taken at for adult dose at 2000 mg, so if a child half the weight of a 150 pound person, then the dose is calculated accordingly. It is taken ideally four times a day, but first two or three dose, maybe taken hourly. Vitamin C, for adult dose is 1000 mg, so a child based on his weight is taken proportionally less, but is taken at 3 to 4 times a day. In conditions of a CP, it is required that a vitamin C ascorbic acid is used. I believe there is an underlying viral most likely, perhaps bacterial in the system that are of a neurotoxins. The best ones to kill the virus in the nerve cells or deep in there is the Threonine, at same dose as lysine, but is not absolutely required as the lysine, and is also hard to find. One overlooked numbers is to get blood test to see other neurotoxins, such as homocysteine. In my standards, if the numbers are above 7.5 I believe it is too high and homcysteine must be at a bare minimum so no further damage will cause neurological damage in a CP person. Finally I am beginning to use N acetyl Cysteine and MSM as a source for sulfur to detox heavy metals as all sulfur supplements including selenocysteine, and of course garlic, are very important in the detoxing of the system. However, this sulfur supplements are only taken separately to see if the person has positive or negative response. For sure the foundation of CP protocol for me, requires ascorbic acid vitamin C, lysine and vitamin B50 (if half the weight then likely half a tablet), as a start. If homocysteine is high, the supplements to take is betaine, or TMG (Trimethylglycine). Should the child respond positively to garlic, then there is the possibility of sulfur is needed to detox, and hence MSM, N acetyl Cysteine and selenocysteine is worth the try. Sulfur is chemically unique in that it is one of the few elements that detoxes the body of heavy metals, but also detoxes the system, as well as kill certain pathogens, especially the fungus and fungus bacteria, such as mycoplasma.
Therefore an easy home remedy that you can find locally is vitamin C, lysine and vitamin B complex for the CP treatment. The other one to help digestion is the lemon juice, three times a day, but no sugar and absolutely NO WHEAT PRODUCTS, these damage the body pancreas and may cause autoimmunity.

TED'S REMEDIES FOR INFANT WITH CEREBRAL PALSY REQUESTED
01/21/2011: R. writes: "Dear Ted:
Im specifically looking for remedies that will help an infant with cerebral palsy. I heard about the ammonia problem, the magnesium chloride and the methyline blue. Any specific recommendations for interventions with an infant or very young child? Thanks very much.
"
01/29/2011: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The simplest possible remedies to get rid of ammonia are vitamin c ascorbic acid, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar. I used vitamin c ascorbic acid. Of course this is the ones I prefer for infants. The theory is simple any acid neutralize ammonia, but hydrochloric acid in betaine HCl or just HCl does it faster, but ascorbic acid is more milder and better tolerated.

TED'S ADVICE FOR 3 YEAR OLD SON WITH CP?
10/31/2010: Lotte from Malaga, Spain writes: "Dear Ted,
I just found the earthclinic-page and I am very excited about the cerebral palsy remedies.
My 3. son was born 3 weeks early 2,8 kg 9/10 apgar test, that is all perfectly normal, but when he was 2 weeks old he got very ill with apnea. What seems to have happened was that I had without knowing it had hooping cough which I passed on to my son who so young and a little premature couldn`t breathe; later after 2 weeks in hospital (1 of which he was attached to a breathing machine a respirator(?)) he also had meningitis, which gave him an epileptic crisis and in the hospital they gave him a too strong dosis of valium, so they almost killed him.
He was 2 months when we got him home again and I was lucky to be able to pick up breastfeeding him again continuing that untill he was 2 years old and I had his little brother.
Summing up it has been 21 years of fisiotherapy, speech-therapy, indian baby-massage with lukewarm oil, riding, swimming and even sailing for disabled, special sports like "race-running" (cpisra-sport); and for some years now dietetic suplements such as : phosforiserina (http://www.biovita.fi/index.php?page=products&id=23), e-epa (http://www.biovita.fi/index.php?page=products&id=21) and carnosine (http://www.biovita.fi/index.php?page=products&id=6)
These 3 product have made my son improve in various aspects such as speech, socialiability, maturity, intelligence. And that improvements makes me certain that things can be done by healtfood-suplements.
To describe my son now, he is a wheelchair user, he has epilepsia, he was blind untill 1 year old has now a usefull vision, he has spactic form of cerebreal palsy with a distonic component.
He took "Depakine" (valproic acid) untill 14 years old when he had been without seziures for 5 years so we stopped giving it to him; but this year he has had an epileptic attack and the doctors have ordered him Depakine 500mg 2 x day (I only give him 500 mg x day though) Lately I have read about magnesium clorid in one of those e-mail letters that is send around where it was told all the benefits you have from magnesium one of them being an epilepsia remedy, so I started giving him this magnesium pills from Biosym which contains magnesium in these 2 forms Magnesium-L-Pidolat and Magnesiumdioxid.
Now in that e-mail it also said that magnesium could cure cerebral palsy so I searched the internet and ended up finding earthclinic´s page.
I will start with your cerebral palsy remedy-cure, when I can afford it which will hopefully be by next month, by now I am starting up with 2 x 300 mg of the magnesium pills a day.
I will be keeping you informed of his progresses but I would like to ask you if you have any special indications in my sons case?
I have also tried to look up Edgar Cayce on cerebral palsy but was not able to find on the internet any specific recomendations about it.
The dietist recomended me to give him also b-vit-complex together with the magnesium but I understood that that comes in later, is it so?
Finally, I would like to thank you so very much for all your work helping so many people!

11/01/2010: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear Lotte:I believe most of the problems is the ammonia, there is some debate as to the toxic hydrogen sulfide, if it is in excess, usually evidenced from bad smelling stool, found in nearly all people with mental disability such as ADD, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and then some, has to do with this sort of gas. The good news Hydrogen sulfide, in the presence of hydrogen peroxide is converted into more safer sulfate form. This remedy was missing in my original cerebral palsy remedy and might be of further help also. The dose is not necessarily taken everyday, but is a 3% H2O2 one capful per one liter of drinking water. It's also not taken everyday, but once every three days should be sufficient.
Ammonium once they are gone will usually keep coming back for various reasons, but the dose can be taken in intervals if you think it's not needed or gone. However, in practice I will keep on giving them until it levels off, at which time I give at regular intervals such as twice or three times a week being the bare minimum for the betaine HCl, vinegar, apple juice and B complex. Those four things tend to neutralize the ammonium, by acidity, and if you don't have all of those, B complex and vinegar is required, unless it's severe, so you may need the HCl, which in my case was a severe one. Unfortunately the parents I treaded, the child can walk and everything, at which the parents of that child, started saying that they don't need these supplements anymore and the child just need exercise. At which case the child started deteriorating after discontinuing for about a month. Then they went to other things, such as exercise, and other things, but was not helpful.
As to your questions,
fish-oil 650mg of E-EPA
250mg vit. C
300mg Potasium
300mg l-carnosine
500mg l-lysineAs for the above supplements you are taking, I believe fish oils, you need once or twice a week. Human in general generally has a low tolerance to ANY oils, but they do take it much not sufficiently large, because liver's limited capacity to process them, with one peculiar exception to some extent is the coconut oils. They tend to benefit from these as liver concerts the coconut oil component, the Middle chain triglyceride into ketone bodies and is needed by the brain cells for energy. Hence coconut oil at the very least 1 tablespoon once a day to twice a day maybe helpful.
As for the vitamin C, I have found that a form of vitamin C most helpful is the ascorbic acid, rather then sodium ascorbate, as this too neutralize the ammonia and possibly hydrogen sulfide, that tend to exist in larger quantities for people with mental disability due to intoxication of these gases.
As for potassium, due to lack of cerebral palsy people here in Thailand, I haven't quite tested this idea yet, but is required in having some calming effects. The form of potassium I prefer is potassium citrate. Magnesium is absolutely required also, but the only form that is helpful, without ANY CALCIUM added to the supplements, is the magnesium chloride. If you can prepare your own magnesium chloride solution it is roughly 60 to 70% magnesium chloride and 30 to 40% water. It's given in drops, such as 10 drops mixed with the lysine and other things such as vinegar is fine. It's taken usually twice to three times a day.
As far as carnosine is concerned, its quite fine as it is a heavy metal chelator and 250 to 350 mg a day is roughly an optimum dose. Usually taken once a day.
Now my question to you is about l-lycine: should he take 1000mg 3 x day ? If it is so we will have spent the box in 10 days; will that be enough time to have eliminated the pathogen?
Lysine works best if taken hourly dose for 4 doses for a minimum of two or three days. The absolute minimum dose as a long term maintenance dose is taken at once a day or twice a day. The dose required is 1000 mg once a day, after the critical three days to kill the pathogens. Lysine IS required as part of human diets and 40 years ago in the U.S. they did request the FDA to be fortified in the human diets, which they didn't. So the manufacturers decided to give them to all the livestock animals, except humans. It costs less maintanance if lysine is added to livestock animals, but commercially it is more profitable to keep maintenance in human health as high as possible through susceptible diseases. You buy more pharma drugs.
I have asked the dietist about threonine, taurine (which seems to help against epilepsy) and glutamine and glycine; now my question when and how long and how much of these?
You don't need to take them very long for these. A month would do. Also glutamine must be taken together with taurine and glycine. Theronine increases glycine in the nerve cells and are neuroprotective and reduces spastic condition. If the cerebral palsy children DON'T HAVE spasticity, then they probably don't need this. If we want to reduce some costs of amino acid, to keep costs down, then whey concentrate, with NO sugar, NO sucralose, is taken instead, but never the recommended dose on the bottle or on package. The dose are way too high. I prefer a much smaller dose, such as 1 teaspoon only once in the morning, or perhaps twice a day. I DO NOT USE SCOOP dose that is recommended in the bottle. They tend to worsen the condition. The human digestion system is not a perfect system, it can't digest all that protein in one sitting. At any time, it may digest roughly 1 teaspoon per hour of whey. Again these are my estimates.
What is clearly missing in the supplements you mention that I use on frequent basis, in most mental disability that is very helpful is the hydergine and piracetam. Hydegine 2 mg a day and piracetam 800 mg a day. This is taken for 5 days out of a week with 2 days off. The 2 days off is absolutely require to toxins and metabolites don't build up. If they do they become auto toxic. I had a couple of cases like this and it occurs on the 8th day of the supplements and this prevents further improvement. Most centers that treat this may make a mistake by taking them continuously. In other case they take on one week and two week off which also take way too much time for improvement. They overlook the fact that hydergine and piracetam, if taken for too long the metabolites itself become neurotoxic and because the body's limited ability to detox requires on the average of 2 days after the accumulating substances for 5 days, requires 2 days clearance. The other thing not mentioned is the lecithin, which I see as helpful. I tend to use granulated lecithin.

DAUGHTER WITH SPASTIC DIPLEGIA
07/28/2010: Debbie writes: "Hi Ted,
I have read your remedy on earthclinic.com. My daughter is 10-1/2 years old and has spastic diplegia (CP) mostly affecting her legs. Someone posted an "easy to follow" plan after reading what you posted. Is this information correct for me to follow? What you wrote about the ammonia in the urine was very interesting as my daughter's urine smells very strong. Does she need a urine test to see where she is at, etc.? Can I do this or do I have to take her to the doctor's? I just really do not know where to start and would appreciate any help you can give. I know you are extremely, extremely busy, but I would so appreciate your help. The doctors keep recommending botox and/or surgery. We are against the botox and would like to try any nonsurgical ways that we can. She is so, so tight (even with stretching and physical therapy) and seems to be getting more so the older that she gets. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration."
08/01/2010: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "DebbieReducing ammonia is important as they go to the blood and is a neurotoxin. So a child can have a toxic blood as part of the cause. Two thing will reduce this sodium acetate and hydrochloride found in betaine. Tight muscles is a spastic condition caused by neurotoxins that are excitoxins as in aspartate and excess intracelular calcium helped with magnesium chloride and sodium citrate. I won't use another neurotoxin as in botox to kill nerve cells. A better remedy maybe inhibitory amino acid such as glycine, GABA, threonine and taurine which protects spastic causing excitoxins. A bacterium producing spastic maybe helped with three times a day dose of lysine for a couple of days to see results.

08/02/2010: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Debbie:A correction to the previous email that mentions spastic condition (tightening of muscles to arms or legs) as being bacterium cause. In practice most spastic conditions are viral causes, as in rabies for example, some are much slower growing or live like parasites (as in Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer or ALS) which leads to lack of control as it attacks the motor neuron. Some are more excitatory, as in rabies, or a more generalized condition referred to as tropical spastic paraparesis which effects the central nervous system, particular the leg area. If they are viral cause, the treatment is relatively a simple one and the approach I used is similar to the ALS protocol using the the hourly dose of lysine and threonine in equal amounts hourly for at least four hours for only a week (usually), whereby with improvement in condition, the lysine and threonine is reduced to just once or twice a day, and perhaps less depending on white blood cells count (so they can't be too high). One relatively overlooked piece of information is to increase your white blood cells count is just to take the lysine and threonine, particularly the lysine. Whereby we reduce the dose once the virus are taken care off, which usually require a week. In my one week period, it is actually shorter, such as 5 days. The maintenance dose is continued perhaps for another week and then reduced to just once a day. Since children doses varies depending on their weight. the dose for a 7 year old is anywhere between 100-500 mg depending on their weight, with likely dose of 250 mg to be median dose taken hourly for only four doses. The threonine is similarly. The acidity of the hydrochlorides such as betaine Hydrochloride, taken with meals, 1/8 teaspoon during meals will neutralize the toxic ammonia gases. In a few cases bad smelling stool can lead to excessive hydrogen sulfide gases, at which case whether ammonia or hydrogen sulfide (sewer gas smell) comes from urine ammonia or hydrogen sulfide stool, the hydrochlorides (HCL, betaine, sodium acetate) will tend to neutralize that. In whichever cases we look at, bad smelling stool, ammonia smelling urine, or spastic viral bacteria we can easily see that the invading pathogens have taken ransom of the child's body through suppression of immune system, otherwise these pathogens can't be found in ammonia producing bacteria, hydrogen producing bacteria of the stool, or the excitatory virus causing spastic condition, in which case I view cerebral palsy as a global immunity issue as a likely remedy to fix the condition. Once the pathogens are out or reduced, then I may consider rebuilding of damage neurons. Obviously sugar, Splenda, Equal, aspartame, bananas, ice cream, and other sweet fruits will be counter productive in shutting down the immune system. So I guess besides dealing with ammonia, and obvious other toxins, it's maybe about killing these bugs also, in particular is the spastic virus, most dramatically seen in rabies.

08/04/2010: Debbie replies: "Ted,
Thanks for all of your e-mails. I so appreciate them. Do you think I can do all of this on my own with my daughter or would it be better for her to be under the care of a homepathic doctor? If you get a chance to look at earthclinic.com, can you let me know if the poster who posted the "easy to follow plan" is correct in her summary of what you are talking about? My daughter is 10 and weighs around 58-60 lbs. Again, I thank you so, so much for taking the time to e-mail me and help me. I sooooooooooooo want to help my daughter and what I read and understood from you just makes so much sense.

08/07/2010: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Debbie:The problem may not be the administration, it's trying to get the supplies. A homeopath may likely recommend a homeopathic medicine. A naturopath may recommend his. Usually the supplements I used need not be complicated. Acidifying the urine pH can be neutralized with ascorbic vitamin C, apple cider vinegar, sodium acetate, and hydrochloride as in Betaine. A simpler way is just vitamin C ascorbic acid, such as 100-250 mg three or four times a day. This will neutralize the extreme alkaline ammonia which are neural toxic. Once the urine smell is reduced the blood chemistry is corrected and ammonia is neutralized, we can then check for stool smell, which in a few cases becomes hydrogen sulfide, those are usually neutralized with the said vitamin C, but in some cases is corrected (if diarrhea) with charcoal or humic acid. The dose is modest for humic acid such as 1/16 teaspoon of humic acid powder, a charcoal for children may be just one or two tablets. As far a resolving the spastic, this may be more challenging, but magnesium chloride is my favorite, as it is also protective of heavy metal poisoning, is a calcium antagonist, also helps muscles relax, as oppose to excess calcium. As for viral cause a lysine is taken hourly dose for four doses, with same dose at the same time for threonine. Both doses are 500 mg each in general, and should be effective in killing most of the viruses within the third day, and on fourth day an extra dose is given as precautionary. Thereafter a maintenance dose to just once or twice a day for lysine and threonine maybe more then enough. The spastic condition should reduce, before the week is out, if the cause is viral in nature as lysine and threonine will effectively deal with viral issues. It should be noted that this is just the basic remedy I might use, but it always depend on certain symptoms from individual to individual. Some tweaking maybe needed. If there is improvement from this remedy then it's rebuilding of damaged neurons which may be as simple as taking hydergine 1-2 mg and piracetam 400 mg, for 5 days. In the long run the general approach is to monitor the toxic urine and stool issues as clues to blood chemistry and the issue of virus in the system. Nearly everyone who has cerebral palsy always have some sort of infection during term pregnancy so it is with my experience that these bugs may have gotten infected on the baby once given the birth, and hospital procedures and antiseptic are generally effective with bacteria, but hardly with virus, and once they get into a nervous system, viruses tend to stay there for a very long time, as in herpes simplex, HPV, and other viruses, such as adenoviruses in ALS and an unknown flu viruses in Parkinson's disease (a.k.a. Michael J. Fox, with the Parkinson's disease are viral in nature hence stem cells won't work because the viruses will infect the new cells!)
The interesting part is the lysine/threonine amino acid seems to be effective enough even with viruses hidden in the nervous system, hence is treatable.

HAS TED UPDATED HIS CEREBRAL PALSY REMEDIES?
02/21/2010: Gemini from Los Angeles, California, Usa writes: "Dear Ted,
Do you have any new updates to your Cerebral Palsy remedy? Do you feel that the nootropil was a major factor in the improvement of those you have helped with Cerebral Palsy? There are some studies showing that nootropil (piracetam) caused an improvement in children with Cerebral Palsy, by alleviating spasticity. I have not found any studies where hydergine has been used to treat Cerebral Palsy. I do know that hydergine and nootropil (piracetam) work synergistically. Have you had any recent exceptional successes treating children with Cerebral Palsy?
Thanks"
