[YEA]  11/09/2008: Miss M from Cincinnati, Ohio writes: "Just 2 days ago, I had a very nasty boil in my bikini area that literally grew to the size of an egg--it was so painful and large that it scared me. I had boils in this area before, but never this big. This one was not going away anytime soon. I finally I went to the doc and even he was shocked to see its size. He gave me a script for 2 different antibiotics and sent me home on restricted activity and told me to take lots of sitz baths. That just wasn't good enough for me because I knew there was probably something natural out there that I could take to help get rid of it. So I googled "boil" and eventually found this website. In addition to what the doc told me to do, I tried some turmeric powder in warm water(nasty), I drank some ACV tea and put an onion on it overnight to draw it out. I felt the need to attack it from all sides because it was so painful and was making me so sick, I felt like I was dying. In the middle of the night (early Saturday), I got up to take another hot bath and it had already came to a head and was very close to bursting-it was so painful, I helped it along just a little--I know you're not supposed to, but I couldn't wait anymore. The drainage was so foul and disgusting, not like anything I had ever seen (or smelled)before. Long story short, the area remained very very swollen, but I felt some relief and spent all day Saturday recuperating. My hubby got me the turmeric pills 500mg rexall brand from Walmart and I took 4 of the capsules in the early afternoon and then so far, 4 more today. The swelling has gone way down, and virtually no pain. Also, as soon as it popped, I started putting the triple antibiotic ointment with the pain reliever on it and kept a gauze pad on it which I change about 3 times a day. I feel well enough to go to work tomorrow and it's all because of this website. My doc will try to take some of the credit, but without that turmeric to speed things up, I would still be miserable. Thanks a million--I'll be back many many times. The turmeric works."

[YEA]  10/18/2008: A.M. from Chicago, IL / USA writes: "I never had boils or acne before until after the birth of my first child after age 30! The first pea sized one on my bikini line went away with a hot soak/compresse as advised by my doctor. Then I had another a few months later. In both cases they reabsorbed into my body within a day. Haven't had any for 6 months. This third one grew with the hot soak to the size of a grape in the first day. Very painful. Then I found this website. I applied Camphophenique which helped relieve the pain & throbbing immediately. The next day I purchased Tumeric from Walmart for $6.25, 500 mg capsules by Rexall. I took two and the boil shrank within hours. The second day I took two more and it shrank to the size of a small pimple. Day three it completely reabsorbed back into my body. I'm going to take the tumeric for a few more days and also at the start of my menses, as that has been when they appear."

Thank you all!"

[YEA]  10/14/2008: D Montgomery from mountain view, ca writes: "Staph infection boils

I read about using Tumeric a few days ago to help with boils. (2 teaspoons in warm water every three hours during the day) I immediately started taking it. I didn't see results for about a day, but it is working. I had two boils, one that came a day or two before the other. The one that appeared later started to drain earlier. And just like others have written, the tumeric caused the boil to come to a head and drain. The tumeric also helped with the fluid build up around the infection. I've taken antibiotics before to treat boils, but they left me feeling drained and sick. Taking tumeric has kept me feeling energetic.

I have also been using apple cider vinegar to help my body regain a more alkaline state, Kyolic (aged garlic extract), and barley grass powder to help my body cleanse itself."

[YEA]  09/29/2008: Elizabeth from Barnesville, OH writes: "I just finished (or so I thought) my second battle with MRSA in 3 months. I have been off the anitbiotic (Bactrim) for about 10 days. I still had hard tissue surrounding the incision where it was lanced. I was told at the doctor's office that this was probably scar tissue. I took one 500mg capsule of Turmeric last night (mainly for prevention purposes) after reading this website. This morning, the incision began to drain profusely and the hard tissue surrounding the incision is nearly gone. It may be coincidence, but I find it doubtful! You've made a believer out of me. Will keep you posted if it continues to work."

09/26/2008: Steph from Mississauga, Canada writes: "Just wondering if anyone knows if Turmeric Force-Full Spectrum Turmeric is a good capsule. It doesn't seem to be working for me. It has been almost 2 weeks. Each tablet is 400mg. Is there any capsule that is recommended???"

EC: What fillers does this brand contain? Turmeric powder bought in the grocery store in the spice section (or a large bag bought for a few dollars at an Indian grocer) is quite potent.

09/26/2008: Steph from Mississauga, Canada replies: "Turmeric force. new chapter. other ingred include extra virgin, maltodextrin, silica, and yellow beeswax. turmeric 400mg-80mg supercritical extract and 320 mg of ethanolic extract. I have read that maltodextrin can cause headaches. i have been fine but boil not going away. it is very very difficult for me to just take spice. I can't stand taste or texture. Thanks your your help. really appreciate this forum."

EC: Try reading up on Ted's remedies for boils and MRSA. You might find something helpful there.

09/26/2008: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "to Steph from Messauga, Ca. Hello Steph, Did you know that you can purchase empty capsules and put the turmeric (Or any other substance) in them yourself, if you can't stand the taste otherwise. The little device for filling empty caps runs about $l3.00. You can find both on line. Probably be less than what you paid for that turmeric that isn't working. Another thing you can do for boils (& other infections) is good old epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). Just mix about l/4 cup of epsom salts to i pint of water as hot as you can stand to wring a wash cloth out in. Apply the epsom salts soaked wash cloth to the boil. Do this about 4 times a day and you will see it making a big difference about the second day. You will need to continue this until all redness (inflammation) & soreness is gone."

[YEA]10/06/2008: Steph from Mississauga, Canada replies: "Looks like the Home-made turmeric capsules worked. I couldn't stand the taste of turmeric so I made my own. So far, so good!! Thanks for all the help and advice!"

[YEA]  09/13/2008: Josh from Miami, FL writes: "Tumeric works... I have been getting boils - usually on my leg...and once in a while on my neck. I got a nasty one on my face for the first time. I was going to see a Dr. for some antibiotics, but I drank the tumeric mixture along with heating the boil. It only took about a day for it to drain massively. Already it has flattened out and is healing. This really works! Thanks for your website!!!"

I went to wal-mart and bought Tumeric and started by taking 1 capsule with each meal. By the end of the day... i had forgotten that i even had a boil, the pain was completely gone and the boil is disappearing. Thank you all so much for suggesting tumeric."

[YEA]  08/22/2008: J from Redlands, California USA writes: "About a month ago i came across this site. for the last 25 years i have had cystic acne probably genitic...I also suffered from boils around the nose. possibly MRSA or a staph infection! Anyways i read the forum and decided to apply some of the treatments. I first tried turmeric capsules and most recently turmeric powder with milk. I think the simple powder with milk is more effective...I also mixed a few drops of tea tree oil in vaseline and applied it to my nostrils with a cotton swab. At this point i still get the acne but the inflammation that goes along with the acne...has been reduced dramaticaly...thank you so much for providing this information!!!!"

[MAYBE]  08/08/2008: Rochelle from Houston, Texas writes: "I tried the turmeric rememdy for boils. I just tried it for the first time yesterday, 8/7/08. I purchased the capsules from walmart. They are rapid release capsules, 500 mg, 95% curcumoid (that may be spelled incorrectly) extract. Manufacturer Rexall. Cost approx. $7. Well Rexall recommends taking 1-2 capsules a day preferrable with a meal. Well I took a total of 4 capsules. Two at a time. One for lunch and one for dinner. I have a small boil on my inner thigh. Before taking the capsules my boil was very hard and round yet not painful or itchy. Today at approx. 3 p.m. CST, my boil is smaller in size. I can't say that this is directly due to the turmeric but it is smaller in size. Does not hurt to try. I will continue to take the capsules for up to a week. I will give more feedback then."

[YEA]  08/06/2008: Havilah from Auburn, CA writes: "I have had boils and severe acne since I was ten years old. I'm twenty five now. The boils spread from my face to my back and arms, and then to my thighs and other areas in that region. I was unable to find a remedy. It was very frustrating and painful. I discovered this website last year and have used several remedies successfully for other issues. One day I discovered the section on boils and saw that many people recomended turmeric. I started taking app. 7 capsules of turmeric every day. I purchased the capsules from Wal-Mart. They are very inexpensive. Within two weeks my face cleared up. It's been four weeks now and no new boils have appeared at any place on my body. I get compliments from friends and family asking what I did to clear my face up. The turmeric not only cleared up the boils but the acne as well."

[YEA]  08/01/2008: Jean (sunnygirl8000/@/yahoo.com) from Moberly, Missouri writes: "I have suffered from boils for the first time in my life about a year ago. I was bitten by a spider on my back. The resulting infection caused me to run a fever, and it was several weeks before it finally went a away with the help of antibiotics and the doctor lancing it.

About 2 months later I started getting boils under my arms. since I had never had one before I didn't know what it was. I ended up going to the doctor and was put on meds once again. Funny thing is I didn't get them in the winter, only when the weather got warmer they came back. They didn't tell me there was a core that needed to come out before it would heal. Finally I decided the meds were a waste of time and money, so this spring the boils started showing up again. This time I decided to look for some different way of treating them. I found your site, I tried the tummeric and egg shell lining. It worked wonderfully, it has been 2 months now and it is still gone. Usually when one would open and drain , another one would immediately start to form somewhere else. This has not been the case. I am very pleased! Thank You!"

[YEA]  07/31/2008: Cathy from New York, NY writes: "I'm on my second day of the regimen and although the taste is a little gag inducing the first time around, my boil has reduced in size and the inflammation is slowly subsiding. My boil didn't burst yet and I don't think it's going to. Either way I can finally sit comfortably after 5 days. Thank you!!!!"

08/07/2008: Chris (chris/@/cmtest204/@/mac.com) from San Pedro, CA replies: "i have had many boils in my life & about 2 yrs ago it started going through my grandkids like a house on fire, my youngest almost died from it, spent 8 days in intensive care.........i ended up getting it again from them, thus starting a huge cycle again, which i hadn't had to deal with in quite a while.......& because my health is not as good as it used to b, i caught the germ again...........it's a staff infection...........i have since then ran across this web site & with other investigation, found that candida surrounds staff & makes it very hard to get rid off.........anti-boitics may be able to help u get over the boil itself, but the staff stays in the body.........& since u said that sometimes u feel as if u r getting one again & the turmeric helps it stop, u probably still have the stuff floating around, waiting for a weak point in ur body, to attack u again...........well, if u fight candida, this site has great info about that, then killing the candida, or controlling it, will help u stop have those times where it starts again.........i think it's the body's way of trying to protect u from the ravages of staff, that can kill...............and then an over growth of candida has it's own special horrors...........after my own outbreak of boils, with many cycles of antibiotics, i had a number of times where it felt like i was getting more.........but since i started controlling the candida, i don't have them anymore..........i do take turmeric & it is a really strong anti-inflamitory & anti-oxident...............which is probably why it has helped u............try working on the candida, check out the symptoms of it, u might b surprised, i sure was.................it's pretty awful, in & of itself...........hope this helps, chris....."

[YEA]  07/31/2008: Jay from Laurel, MD writes: "I am a 24yr old black male. I have suffered from minor to severe boils for 3+ years now. I've been to the emergency room almost 10 times and was hospitalized for 3 days and given antibiotics through IV due to a large boil that covered most of my jaw area. I've had boils pretty much everywhere...inner thigh, inner buttocks, underarms, beard area. I've taken several antibiotics which have mostly helped with healing but no prevention (dicloxacillin, cephlex, ciprfloxacilin etc..). I was scared and ran tests (aids, cancer etc.) The doctors came to the conclusion that a have a chronic case of folliculitis. I could have saved thousands of dollars and extreme pain if I had found this site a long time ago. TURMERIC WORKS! I can't believe it, what are the doctors doing and why havent they picked up on it because I have seen 3 dermatologists and 3 different doctors...all had the same responses and recommendations for medication, which never successfully supressed my outbreaks. Never mentioning turmeric. I started taking the spice with water (which is the most disgusting f**king thing) then went to walmart and got the pills. Since i've been taking the pills i havent had 1 boil and I am amazed. Even when i do feel a sensitive area trying to form it usually goes away in 24-48 WITHOUT swelling and opening!!! If there's anyone that has experienced remotely to what I have with boils know how painful they are and how big they can get. Words cannot explain how happy I am that i found a SPICE that in my book has damn near cured my situation. Even scarring on my face from past boils is going away. Words cannot explain how happy I am. Also, in my case, i no longer eat spicy foods because I realized that after eating too much I would feel boils trying to form. If you've yet to try turmeric or have a boil right now and cant deal with the pain. I've found that taking alleve helps the most (muscle relaxer/pain reliever). WAY better than aspirin. So until I find this i dont need to take turmeric to prevent boils...I will be taking them forever.

-Jay"

[YEA]  07/29/2008: Tammy from Fort Worth, TX writes: "Ok....so I don't not believe in herbal remedies...but..... I really did not think the Tumeric would work for me. I had what I felt was staph and cystitis on my chin that would NOT go away..Literally for several months it would get a little better, then pop up again. It never went away.(didnt help that I kept picking at it!) Infection, weeping and scabbing. I bought 500mg Tumeric capsuules at Walmart. I started on Wednesday night. I cleaned my face real good, put neosporin on the areas and took a capsule. I took 3 the next day, B-L-D; and on Friday...SWEAR TO YOU, it was 75% better....Today is Tuesday...not even a full week later and I and 95% better! I did get a new spot come up...but I think it is just some leftover stuff that will get out quickly too!!!! TRY IT!!!! the capsules are tasteless and painless!!!!!"

[YEA]  07/25/2008: Ricko from SB, USA writes: "Turmeric for a boil... I had a boil that came back for the third time. Right on the rim of my a--. I mean deep in the crack right next to the rim. I thought it might be a hemroid the first time but realized it was a boil by the second. Each time is starts small but painful, and grows fast. Usually I have to wait for 4 or 5 days until it gets to a point where the pain is so bad I can barely move. I apply a hot compress for another day or so and finally when I think it i need to see the doc, it opens up and drains the foulest liquid on earth.

This time I researched on the web the 2nd day to see if there was something I could do at home to help. TURMERIC. I rushed to the market and got a $5 bottle of turmeric spice, powder form. Took a teaspoon at 8pm and another at midnight. didnt sleep much cause the boil growing like a volcano on steroids. Got worse all night, hot showers and hot compress. Another teaspoon at 9am and another at noon. 4 pm, I get up to heat some more water for my hot towel regiment and... Bamb... felt the instant relief drainage. I can only imagine the relief of a woman giving birth, but its close. I have never had a boil go through its cycle so fast, not even close. It did get worse for me until it came to a head but let me say that the amount of time, and pain, was soooo much faster. For me it accomplished in 24 hrs what has taken 3-6 days. 36 hours later, as I type this, I am pain free and feeling like a reborn soul. Thank You guys!!!

Make sure to take care of the boil post eruption. Antibacterial soap, neosporin or some king of antibacterial ointment, and a bandage. Keep doing this until it heals. This way you get a healing process from the inside out and will minimize the chances of reinfection.

My experience, my thoughts and my belief in turmeric... Hope you have the same results!!!!"

After taking 1 teaspoon of turmeric 3 times a day, the boil has just open up started draining like you wouldn't believe. [YEA]  07/18/2008: Jennie from Louisville, KY writes: "I should have written long ago but better late than never. I had a big boil that looked like a giant pimple on my middle finger just below the rim of the nail. It did look ugly and I'd put a bandaid over it when I went out. Sometimes it would kind of burst and leak some ugly stuff. I looked on this board and a lot of people were saying to use turmeric either as a pill or a make a compound. I was ready to try anything that sounded safe. So off to the store I went and bought a bottle of Turmeric and took 2 or 3 and followed the regime. I swear to God in 3 or 4 hours the boil was down to half the size by the next day it was almost gone. I kept taking the turmeric and still do. Now there is nothing to show there was ever a boil there at all. I did have a flat red spot for a long time but it finally went away too. I highly recommend turmeric and thank all the people here who tried it and talked about it. Now I'm going to try the pickle juice for leg cramps. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for a great cure. Jen"

I bought organic turmeric from Uncle Harry's in Redmond, Wa. I took 3 teaspoons a day before each meal in a glass of water. My boil was totally absorbed in three days!

Now, I have a question. My daughter has a cyst under her eye about the size of a large pea. Could a poultice of turmeric and emu oil help on the outside; and taking turmeric for the inside make it absorb into the body and go away? Thanks!"

I had a very nasty sty on my upper eyelid for some days before discovering the TURMERIC CURE here @ EARTH CLINIC. I immediately diluted a little in warm water in a liqueur glass & bathed my eye with this - holding the glass very close to my eye to prevent spillage. I kept it in place for a minute or less, and VOILA! within hours (can't recall how many) the sty reached a head & burst on its own. I helped to drain it using hot water on cotton wool & the little that remained disappeared within the next 24hrs. THANK YOU EARTH CLINIC & to everyone that has kindly contributed their testimonials as well! TURMERIC really works like MAGIC! Thanks GOD too for this AWESOME gift! :)
Love, light & healing ALL,

But I looked online one last time and found this site, went out and bought a bottle of turmeric at walgreens.
