<description> Light Bulb from Ny writes: "Hello, I am a long time sufferer of boils, ingrown hair, and eczema. I have tried evrything u can think of to cure my ailments. Over the counter, scripts. U name it I have tried. I used to get boils mainly in the pubic area, and under my arms, and on my inner upper thighs, buttocks. Ugh. It was driving me crazy. First off what I did to try and cure it was stop taking the antibiotics. Now do not negate the fact that if you have a bad infection you need antibiotics to ward off the infections. What does the damage is the continuous intake of the drug because you build an immunity to it. Therefore it gets harder for you to the fight the infection off. It is crucial that you only use anti bacterial ointments or soaps on the place of infection. You lessen the depletion of the natural flora (good bacteria) that your body is supposed to have. Next stop shaving. It is better to cut down hair in the most sensitive areas of your body because they get the least exposure therefore are more prone to developing infections.

Did manage to have bacon in place for a couple of hours. Awoke next morning and boil had started to discharge small and scab began to form. Pain almost completely gone. Next day boil incredibily itchy. Put some betadine ointment on and this eased itching. Day 4 and boil is healing well. Still a little redness and swelling but definately... this boil has been defeated.

<description>[YEA] Jesuslover from Minneapolis, Minnesota Usa writes: "Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for the individual testimonials and great information on this site! I contracted a staph infection shortly after surgery and also a bad cut on my finger, not sure exactly which was the cause. The infection resulted in a boil which my doctor prescribed antibiotics to treat. I was on the antibiotics for almost the full course of treatment, and while there was some improvement, it did not quickly cure or alleviate the uncomfortable condition. I started taking two capsules of oil of oregano a day, which I just happened to have in the cupboard since a friend gave them to me. The same day I began taking these my condition began to improve much more rapidly! I know it was because of the oil of oregano and I thank God for this "miracle herb". I have never really been one who put much stock in herbal remedies but I will definitely do more research in the future before only depending on presciption medications for every affliction. Thanks again for sharing this valuable information! God bless :)

<description>[YEA] Karyn from Charlotte, Nc writes: "I first noticed a 'pinch' on my butt on Friday. It was hard to look at the exact spot because it was kind of between the cheeks, but each day it became more and more sore.

By Monday, it was a full-blown boil, the worst one I've ever had and having to sit on it all day at work was absolute agony. I came over to Earth Clinic for help, always my first source for home remedies.

I should have started the turmeric much earlier; I bought a large bag of it last year when I had a small outbreak of boils.

Monday night after work, I mixed a teaspoon of turmeric into warm water and drank it. That was rough; not the best method for me. Before bed, I took a second teaspoon mixed into about 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil (after reading fat is important for the turmeric to work best). I also spread a small amount of oil onto a bandage, sprinkled turmeric over the top of it, and slept with that on the boil.

Tuesday morning, the bandage was soaked, so I knew the boil had begun to drain. It felt smaller (due to its location on my body, it is hard to look at it) but was still quite painful. I washed it thoroughly and started my Tuesday with a half teaspon of turmeric (the full teaspoon gave me brief heart palpitations) in coconut oil and headed to work. Before the day had ended, it began to drain again, this time with much blood.

Home again, I took my turmeric/coconut oil and added black pepper after reading on EC that the pepper increased the bioavailability of turmeric. I took a dose at 5:30 and again at 8:30 before bed. Also, I again slept with a poultice of coconut oil and turmeric taped over the boil.

Today is Wednesday; the drainage seems to be nearly complete and the pain is nearly gone! It's absolutely amazing; when I have had boils in the past, and have not used turmeric, it seems to take 10 or more days to fully get rid of them.

I intend to continue with my 3x per day dosing until there is no pain or swelling there at all and then I think I'll just add a half teaspoon with black pepper and coconut oil to my morning routine for maintenance.

Thank you Earth Clinic!

<description>[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] It's Rough from Sault Ste Marie, On writes: "I started using the ACV in September, and found it's only worked (and has done so fast) when I have applied it on a cotton ball and held it there tight with a bandaid (waterproof ones are bad, as they leave the glue on you for days after and are harder to get off). So for the first two months, I'd basically just swab them and it didn't work very well. Over November they had all but disappeared, with just a few new ones showing up on my inner thighs (problem area was the scrotum at first). But one thing, after doing this for awhile the non-affected skin has been, well, pickled it seems. It is brown around the area and looks unappealing. Has anyone encountered this and know of a cream or something to return the skin to normal?

One more note: green tea. It heals your skin up nice and fast after; should have been downing 3 cups a day when I started this business. (But it's not really doing much for the darker spots of skin mentioned above).

Good luck

A big thank you for your existence and support for usage of natural remedies.

As a healthcare worker I have been dealing with unpleasant boils (very likely, but hard to accept MRSA boils) on my body especially buttocks area for the last two months. Two days ago I began drinking turmeric mixed in warm water twice a day - morning and evening. What a difference it has made. The boils are dissapearing, and I must give all the credit to turmeric as I have not done any other dietary changes.

<description> Tonina from Whanganui, New Zealand writes: "Hi, I'm on my 3rd day treating a boil break out using the Tumeric spice - AMAZING RESULTS!!! Boils are drying out, they're not as painful and my body has stopped breaking out as a result of the Tumeric working to clean my blood.

I'm at my wits end, these things have been a problem since I had a major op about 2 years ago after having my son where we both contracted MRSA, they've been ongoing causing me to feel depressed, anti social, irritable and just real sad. Maintaining my health has been a real challenge and when it comes to Boils, Staf infections and MRSA - antibiotics are the worst treatment. Going natural is the only option and I'm so grateful to have found this site which informed me about the spice Tumeric.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.

The next step I intend to take is to buy the book MRSA Secrets Revealed by Microbioligist and Scientist Michelle Moore.

<description> Mantics from Westchester, United States writes: "I have a boil on my nether regions... Sucks I know! Since garlic really helped with the ones in my armpit, it was my first choice... Bad choice! It burned the skin off the top of it and I've been trying to get it to heal for at least 3 days now and its not getting any better. I think that might be because the boil is still there so the skin wont heal. I've been putting turmeric mixed with baking soda, vitamin e oil, honey into a paste and putting a bandaid over it. Every morning it's just slimy like new skin isn't forming.

So, it's slimy and sore on top and a hard boil under it. I've also been doing the hot compress to try and bring it out but not working either. Should I concentrate on draining the boil first and then healing the skin? Or the other way around? And how?! Thanks for your time.

I left it for a few days to monitor it and decided I had to do something. I decided that if drinking turmeric in water was good for a boil; then, a paste would be even better. I mixed some turmeric in distilled water to make a paste which I then applied liberally to the boil and surrounding area. Everything came to a head within hours and the boil is draining nicely. <description> Anne from Brooklyn, Ny writes: "A year ago I started suffering from boils in my armpits. I got one on the right side, which finally resolved after antibiotics and compresses, and it was a traumatic experience. Nine months later, when it started getting hot out again, I noticed tiny little whitehead type things appearing in my pits, and two of them developed into boils on the left side. I had to take two rounds of antibiotics because the first did not kill the staph infection and I had to get one lanced. They hurt terribly and look awful, and since I keep getting them I feel like antibiotics are not the answer.

Last week I notcied a tender spot in my left pit but couldn't see anything, but two days later a boil was clearly developing and it was extremely painful. Went to the doc who gave me a prescription, but I was determined not to take more antibiotics. After all, the doc thought that taking antibiotics after I had surgery last year may have lowered my immune system in the first place.

I am currently trying several remedies and having success. I started taking turmeric in warm milk at the first sign (2x a day) and applying tea tree oil, but this did not stop the boil from getting huge. I've also been hot compressing it and I bought some Prid homeopathic drawing salve (it looks like black tar) from the pharmacy and applied that. Both things helped draw it to a head. The boil seemed ready to pop, so I sterilized a needle and just opened the tiny little white head to help it along and get it to start draining. It was draining slowly so I alternately applied hot compresses (with salt in them) and then applying the drawing salve and covering it with a bandage. Yesterday it drained a lot and is much less painful now (not waking me up at night), though still nasty looking.

I feel like I can beat it without the antibiotics, which I'm really happy about. However, I've noticed that I still have tiny little white heads on the other armpits so I do think that somehow my system is messed up and perhaps toxic.... Why else would I keep getting these? I am thinking I need to do a detox/cleanse and I have started taking probiotics to help boost my immune system. I will report back if I do the cleanse.

<description> Janet from Hanalei, Hi writes: "A small scratch on my ear became infected with staph and now my ear is almost completely swollen. In addition, I have painful sores on my face and inside my mouth. All the little cuts on my body are full of pus and my lymph node in my neck is swollen. I don't want to take antibiotics so I went to a naturopath and he gave me arsenicum album homeopathics to take under my tongue. He said I should feel better in a day but it's been over a day and I still feel bad.

I'm wondering if I should try colloidal silver and if so, should I stop the aresnicum album or take both. I'm using ACV on the actual sores, gargling with it and other home remedies including noni, garlic, lysine, etc. Should I take colloidal silver in addition to all these other things or should I just stick to one remedy? Please advise. It's been 3 days and I am miserable enough to just take the antibiolics!

<description> Mantics from Westchester, United States writes: "I got my first boil about a month ago and used this site to help me get rid of it. Mostly with baking soda, salt, garlic and finally apple cider vinegar. It was located under my right armpit and when it started I got shoulder pain in my left arm! Lifting my shoulder in a certain direction was excrutiating like I hard torn a ligament. The boil got worse and so did my body. The pain kind of spread to my other shoulder and my entire body was in pain (like you would after an extremely hard workout and your muscles are drained). This continued for about a week then the boil drained and I was pain free. I got two other tiny boils that were quickly healed after a week. Now I just got another one thats as deep as the first (all boils were under the same armpit) but I'm hoping it wont escalate to the painfullness of the first because I caught it early. Now im doing tumeric and ACV but I have that same intense shoulder pain.

Does anyone know if they could be related or if its just a coincidence that they occur at the same time?? I've never had a shoulder injury before nor do I do much with it to make it hurt this much. Any feedback would be great!

<description>[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] Ginkobiloba from New York, Usa writes: "After reading about garlic as a strong antibiotic I put crushed garlic on a staph boil (I think that's what it was. I had one many years ago in the same place and went to the doctor and that's what he called it- he gave me antibiotics)

I would hold the garlic in place with a sterile pad and an ace bandage, leaving it on for hours at a time. WELL, the boil opened but it also spread! It got worse! I switched to drinking vinegar and tumeric and also rubbbing Caledula oil on it. Immediate improvement. I even did the baking soda a couple times which was cooling. I made a Shea butter salve with Calendula, Usnea, Wormwood and Comfrey. Large red inflamed area almost gone, but it has been almost 10 days (since the garlic). Thanks everyone...

<description> Randy from Jersey City, Nj, Usa writes: "hi everyone.... I started taking turmeric 2x a day, about 1 tsp, for a boil. I've read up a bit on it, and it seems to have a lot of benefits. Can I take it everyday, for an extended time?
