[YEA] 01/08/2010: Barry from Shawnigan Lake Bc, Canada: "Dear Earth Clinic, thank you so much for posting so many positive comments regarding Apple Cider Vinegar! I recently had my first bout with Gout, and ACV scored an impressive knockout! I had been taking a diuretic for high blood pressure and in my initial research I learned that my medication could be contributing to my gout. It was new years eve and I couldn't get out to see my doctor until the following monday (4 days later) I found your website and learned about ACV. I knew we had some as my wife had asked me to purchase some for home made salad dressings. It wasn't organic with "mother" but rather a typical commercial brand "pure" ACV. Beggars can't be choosers and with nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions on your website and began to take 2 tbsp with water, tomato juice, etc. Within 12 hours the swelling crested and within 36 hours I was about 80% better. I was completely cured within 5 days. My Doctor confirmed that my medication could contribute to gout and was very impressed with ACV as a remedy. I decided to read up a little more about the benefits of ACV for my high blood pressure. Well, it's been 9 days now and with my doctors blessing, I've weaned myself off my medication. I've purchased an organic brand with the "mother" (available at most specialty grocery and health food stores) and I'm happy to report that my blood pressure is steady in the 122/80 range and is lower now that when I was on the medication (135/88). Thanks again! Like the oldtimers, I've started to take it straight up (with an apple juice chaser) I have more energy and am continuing my daily routine of 1/2 shot glass 2-3 times a day as I attempt to shed 40 lbs over the next 6 months. It's the miracle I've been looking for and I'm telling the world! Cheers!"
Replies01/11/2010: Barry from Shawnigan Lake Bc, Canada replies: "Hello Phoenix, I've been using the organic ACV with mother for the last week now. Prior to that I was using store brand pure apple cider vinegar, and not distilled pure vinegar. My first 2 gout treatments were 2tbsp store brand acv, 1 tbsp honey and 1 cup warm water. Then I moved on to canned vegetable cocktail (I referred to this as tomato juice) 8oz with 2 tbsp heinz acv. I used this combination for approx 4 treatments. Feeling much better and with improved mobility, I went out on Jan 2 and purchased organic acv with mother. At this point I moved onto approx 1/2 shot glass (2 tbsp) acv with 2 oz apple juice chaser and have continued this treatment 2-3 times daily for maintaining my newly lower BP. I am approx 40 lbs overweight with most of the weight around my belly. I find the acv helps with my digestion and curbs my appetite. I'm excited about this new discovery and all the side benefits. I don't have sweet cravings, I've just been a little undisciplined about serving sizes and the weight has slowly built up over the last 10-15 years. My wife is a gourmet cook and she's vowed to cut back on the salt in preparing our meals and I've vowed to reduce my portions and eliminate fast food, soda and prepared desserts. Thanks for the encouragement.
Barry"
[NAY] 12/30/2009: Ken from Jerusalem, Israel: "I had been borderline high B.P. (145/85)for a number of years. Recently my B.P. really shot up (170/95) -could be because I haven't been feeling well for the last few weeks. Based on what I read on this website, 10 days ago, I started taking 2tbs of ACV 3 times a day. I've been taking organic, unpasteurized, naturally filtered ACV (it doesn't say "with mother" on the bottle but its got that cloudy look with the stuff floating in it). I've been taking it with 8oz of lemonade because I can't stand the taste.(Is it OK to mix ACV with lemonade?) Unfortunately, I haven't seen any improvement. I was wondering if I should give up or give it more time. Other people seem to get immediate results. I was also wondering if it's ok to take it with lemonade. Lastly, I want to know if it makes a difference if you take the ACV after you eat or is it better to take b4 a meal/on an empty stomach. Any advice would be greatly appreciated."
Replies01/28/2010: Nickieb from Ruislip, Middlesex Uk replies: "I started using Apple Cider Vinegar with mother two weeks ago for arthritis. Four times a day I take 1/3 mug apple juice, 2/3 hot water with 1 tabsp vinegar. Tastes very acceptable rather like lemonade. You could make with cold water but it's winter here and this is comforting. In the last few days I've also tried adding a teaspoon of Blackstrap Molasses. Put that in mug first and then 2/3 fill with hot water to dissolve before adding apllejuice and vinegar. It's really nice and more importantly it has helped the arthritis no end. Scarcely any hip or knee pain after the first couple of days; still have some stiffness but haven't really started exercising yet so that could be the reason and solution.
Also I have dabbed ACV neat on skin irritation which stopped after a few minutes. This occurs from time to time and I can't figure what causes it except maybe chlorinated water.
I've noticed quite a few people on this site snivelling about the taste of ACV. Maybe they're not hurting enough but they should find a recipe that works for them. Take less at a time and do more often, whatever, because it's brilliant. Can't remember how I found this site but I'm so glad I did and thank you all so much. Nickie"
[NAY] 03/12/2010: Dee from Oakvile, Ontario, Canada replies: "Did you continue with the acv? Has your bp come down and how did you do it? I'm desperate for a way to reduce my bp naturally. Have been taking 2tbsp 3x/day for one week now with no result. Does it take time in some cases?

11/08/2011: Rose from Psl, Fl replies: "I too like randso(at)hotmail(dot)com have not had any good results with ACV and BS. I just started leaving the BS out because I felt the sodium was making it worse. So far I have taken 1 1/2gal of ACV & BS over approx 6 mos 1-2TBS with 1/2 tsp BS... To my dismay BP 157/91 I was taking this home remedy for fibroids, but I also knew I had HBP. To my understanding there can be other deficiencies that cause this. I also have hyperthyroidism (not on meds) The HR was working great for the cysts/fibroid pain. Now I'm not sure what to do because of HB."
[YEA] 12/20/2009: Ben from Athens, Oh: "Hi Everyone,
I am 24 and was diagnosed with high blood pressure about a year ago. I haven't changed my diet but I did try meditation and breathing techniques which helped a little. My blood pressure was generally 135-155/90-70 with readings averaging to 145/85. I just drank 2 Tbs. of organic apple cider vinegar with 5% acidity straight. When I woke up this morning my blood pressure was 140/80, but 40 minutes after drinking the vinegar it was 116/70. I will have to check into the effects of ingesting so much acid if I am to do this regularly. I will also start diluting the vinegar so that it doesn't wear away at tooth enamel."
Replies12/29/2009: Matte from Kalamazoo, Mi replies: "I have recently started drinking the organic apple cider vinegar w/mother and have started to see results within a few weeks (numbers changing from 140/104 to 134/97) better, but not as good as others have seen (I am a vegetarian who eats pretty healthy and exercise regularly). My question is as to whether or not the ACV supplements works as well as the liquid, as I really do not enjoy the taste of the ACV, even with organic honey and juices for flavor. Is one better than the other or would a combination be best (alternating between the liquid and the supplements)?"
12/17/2009: Cardinalfan4life from St. Louis, Missouri: "I'm starting the ACV. I put 2 Tbps in 8oz water w/a little bit of honey. It's the one w/Mother,undisstilled. I'm in danger of losing my job due to high blood pressure neglect. I don't want my family to have to suffer for my stupidity. I have tried my 4th BP medication now, and I need a blessing right now. Please pray for me and my family. I will be doing the same for all of you. Thanks!"
Replies01/06/2010: Sharon from Wahiawa, Honolulu replies: "I too suffer with high blood pressure. However, i am taking medication from my doctor until i can find a remedy that really works!! i do believe that acv, garlic, cayenne pepper will work if you take them together reducing your sodium intake. Pls do more research. However, GET MEDICATION from a doctor in the meantime. high bl. pr. can lead to stroke or worse. Better to be safe than sorry."
[YEA] 12/05/2009: Celteyes from Pearland, Texas: "high blood pressure
I was diagnosed with exercise induced hypertension about a month ago. I am very lucky as the cardiologist told me he believes in natural medicine and he gave me until February to get better before he would put me on blood pressure meds.
The apple cider vinegar has worked. I love it so much I drink it at least 3 times daily. I put 1 tablespoon in about 8 oz.water. I add 3 packet of real lemon and 2 packets of truvia. I add ice and it tastes like a tangy lemonade.
Initially when I was worked up they had to stop the treadmill because I went in with normal BP and in 2 minutes it was 220/118. I was shocked. Never in my life have I had this problem.
Last week I was running many errands and walked back and forth across Target twice..I felt so tired I thought uh oh I better check my B/P. I went to the pharmacy and it read 130/80. That is still not my usual low BP but I think that is great after running around all day"
12/04/2009: Renate from Hilton, Ny: "I like the info I've read here regarding ACV in lowering blood pressure. Is it important to drink the ACV in water?I actually like the taste of ACV alone. Is there added health benefit to drinking it in water? Won't it work in lowering hbp if drinking the ACV alone without the water? Someone please reply. thank you, renate"
Replies12/31/2009: Annoval from Powder Springs, Ga replies: "I just started taking the ACV (2tsp in water twice a day). Are there those who are allergic to it? My sinuses are giving me fits today."
11/19/2009: Stephanie from Burnaby, B.c., Canada: "Hi Thanks for this wonderful web site, I am your devote reader and supporter of most of your remedy. My father-in-law recently just have a big operation of removing the stomach and part of the esophgeals due to the cancer situation and also the lymph grand around his chest. He now depend on his duodenal and intestine to obsorb nutrients. He used to have a history of high blood pressure and slightly high blood suger level. His blood pressure has been really high (200/115)for the last few weeks and the doctor found him has edema too (swelling) Do you think I should let him try apple cider vinegar? and will that cause problem to his intestines because he has no stomach to neutralize the acid.
If I cannot add baking soda to the apple cider vinegar because of the sodium, do you think I can add other thing like magnesium and still can lower his BP? Thanks for the opportunity to post here. Hope that you can help him. He is 82 years now and its sad to see him suffer like this.
Thanks
Stephanie"
[YEA] 06/19/2011: Captain Jack from Englewood, Florida replies: "Just to clarify the ACV, I researched it and it is strange but in the bottle it is acid but when it goes into the body, it turns alkaline. I have an acid problem and HBP. After a week on ACV both problems have greatly improved."
[NAY] 11/15/2009: Tony from Monroe, Nj: "I read everyone's feedback on how ACV lowered their blood pressure and was so impressed I went out and bought 2 bottles. Took 2 tsp 3 times a day for 3 weeks and it did absolutely nothing to lower my blood pressure. My pressure is still approximately 150/95. I am so disappointed. I truely thought after reading everyone's comments that I finally found a natural remedy that would work. I would love to hear from others that also experinced the same as me and if there are any other natural remedies. Was it perhaps something I did wrong? Should I have given ACV more time to work?"
Replies11/15/2009: Benjamin from Newberg, Or replies: "The reason it didn't work is probably easily explainable. Did you buy Heinz "Distilled" Apple Cider Vinegar? If so, you bought the wrong product. The key to ACV working is a raw, undistilled product which contains a "mother". That is, a slurry of weird looking goo in the bottom of the bottle. It is a collection of long chain amino acids and other stuff which has all the healing effect. Think of it as bio-drugs."
12/02/2009: Xddy4u from Jacksonville, Florida, USA replies: "You can't take apple cider vinegar and expect it to do miracles. Stop eating all that high sodium foods, then take your ACV, and you will see a difference. You want something that will allow you to "pig out" on all foods, and lower your blood pressure, all at the same time, ACV is not for that."
[YEA] 10/22/2009: Ned from Atlanta, Ga: "I read your comments this morning and decided to try ACV out. I have had HBP since my mid teens. Been on medications for 15 years now. My last medication wasn't working. I have been averaging 155/108. I took ACV today all three times and checked it this evening, 120/82. I am amazed! Talk about impressive results! Thank you all for your helpful posts!"
Replies10/24/2009: Grace from Vancouver, Canada replies: "Seeing so many positive response for ACV dealing with high blood pressure, I am telling my husband that he should really give it a try. We do have a question regarding when to take the 2T of ACV, 3x/day, is it before or after meal? Or does it matters at all? Can anyone doing the ACV kindly reply. Thanks!"
11/02/2009: Megan from Warner Robins, Ga replies: "In response to Grace from Vancouver. On a routine basis you would use 2 teaspoons full up to 3 times a day. The 2 tablespoons would come in say if you were sick with the flu or trying to fight off something. As with any detox start out with low amounts and work up from there. Some people report taking it before a meal to aid in digestion/weight loss. I have read many times it is recommended in a 8oz glass of water that you sip through a straw throughout the day. I usually take 2 teaspoons in water and the last few days have started adding BSM in warm water with ACV once in the morning. Three weeks and I am starting to feel like a new woman! I have also had success with regular store brand ACV. Hope this helps."
02/15/2010: Teresa from Galax, Va replies: "Please tell me what "bsm" stands for : )"

[YEA] 10/22/2009: Lori from Laurel, Ms: "My blood pressure had gotten to be in the high 140/100 ...give or take a few fluctating points daily. I read your site because I didnt want to be put on medication. I wanted to try an alternative route to lower my blood pressure. I tried apple cider vinegar (regular type from grocery) and no change. I purchased a natural acv with the mother and my blood pressure was lower within days of using this. I drink 2tsp in a glass of water about 3x per day. It has also curbed my appetite for sweets and other junk foods. I have lost about 20 pounds in less than 3 months doing this. I have told everyone about the apple cider vinegar and encourage you to try it if you have high blood pressure. It tastes bad the first time or two but after you get used to the taste i actually like it."
10/12/2009: Osiris from Beverly Hills, Ca: "I was diagnosed a few days ago with High Blood Pressure. Last year I was in a terrible accident with a bus, whoich left me with a few multiple anxiety disorders. Since I was 19, I have practiced Yoga and vegetarianism, I am 57 years of age presently. I tried the blood pressure mediceine once and felt like I was going to die. After speaking with a few friends including a 33, 52 and 43 year old, whom each had been diagnosed with high blood pressure, hypertension, etc. they suggested I not take the medicine. I not only planned to not take it, I told the doctor that if anyone was to prescribe anything for me, it would have to be me. I have beefed up my Yoga routine, I have no weight issues, or had a background, other than before I became a vegetarian, I beleive that I can get my bp down. I had ACV in my cabinet, and wanted to remind myself of what a marvelous home remedy it is. I would love to report, my findings in a week. Presently my bp is 180/100. I am learning to relax in an unrelaxed society."
Replies01/23/2010: Bill from Prescott, Arizona replies: "Osiris, just saw your e-mail on Earth Clinic. B/P is 184/87 at 1am. Is the ACV working for you? I'm asking you because yours is or was as high as mine. Hope it came down. Thanks

[YEA] 09/26/2009: Lourdes from Covina, California: "I started taking an 8oz cup of hot water with 1 tbs of acv before breakfast for three days and my blood pressure went down from 138/89 to 111/66, that is amazing, I have been taking medicine for the last 8 years and never experienced any thing like that, except with my green juice that I drink every day; consisting of spinach, celery, cucumber and banana. I started drinking this because I heard it was good to lose weight but I never though it was good for high blood pressure. I just happened to be inquiring about the benefits of ACV when I found you site and I think is fantastic. Thanks very much for all the information. Sincerely, Lourdes"
[YEA] 09/23/2009: Pretzle from Greenville, Sc: "I'm 39 a smoker and recently discovered that my blood pressure was 166/105. I had taken a reading a couple months ago and it was 143/95. I started taking ACV with Mother in it just last Thursday. By Saturday I was getting readings back around 140/90. By Monday I had readings of 125/83 and 130/84. I was taking it at different times throughout the day with a cuff a friend loaned me. I'm really glad I found this site as I was able to pass a physical I had to take in order to renew my license. I'm of course continuing to take ACV at 2 tbs 3x a day. I'm not exactly sure why it works but have heard that ACV was good for detoxifying your body anyway so I figure it can't hurt."
Replies10/25/2009: Hpagan from Hoboken, New Jersey replies: "I keep reading all the benefits regarding ACV with mother? Which ACV is best? And what is Mother? I keep reading drink ACV with Mother in it??? Please help?"
10/28/2009: Karin from Escondido, Ca replies: "the brand of the acv you want you will find at whole food stores. We cannot post the actual name but the name has a mother in it."
10/28/2009: Babs from Altoona, Pa replies: ""the mother" is the natural slimy stuff in the vinegar that gets filtered out in most apple cider vinegar sold in grocery stores. What you want is organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar as it has most of the natural properties. You can find it in health food stores and sometimes the organic sections of grocery stores. It is much more cloudy than the filtered kind, and there is stuff floating in it when you shake it up."
08/21/2009: Dordor from Singapore: "My dad suffers from hypertension for more than a decade and has been on prescribed medication that caused so much side effect, one of which is insomnia. I stumbled on this great website and most importantly, blessed by your advice, he is now taking apple cider vinegar with honey twice a day, do you recommend to add baking soda to the drink? What about giving him sea salt water on regular basis? Please give us your valuable advice, my mum's acid reflux was healed after taking your advice of taking ACV plus baking soda. Thank you!"
Replies[YEA] 04/27/2010: Monica from Minneapolis, Mn, Usa replies: "Hello,When my blood pressure gets high, I take 30 drops of olive leaf extract mixed with water, then I take a glass of water with 2 table spoons of ACV. It works wonders for me. The horrible headache and nausea immediately disappear. Hope it helps. You can get the olive leaf extract online."
08/14/2009: Jim from New Hope, Alabama: "I have been taking bloodpressure medicine for fifteen years and want to get off of it by taking vinegar. Does anyone know how to accomplish this without endangering myself by quiting my prescription too abruptly. thanks Jim"
Replies02/10/2010: Maydell from Terre Haute, In, Us replies: "How has anyone stopped their medication? Do you continue with it while taking acv or stop taking your medication and just monitor your blood pressure? Also, the research I've done says acv contains e.coli. Is acv dangerous? Please help me with my concerns. I am a mother and I'm trying to lower my blood pressure. Thank you."
