"The spine is designed to provide strength and protection to the sensitive spinal cord and nerve roots, while also allowing for flexibility and movement in all directions. There are many parts of the spine that can produce back pain: nerves, nerve roots, muscles, discs, bones, joints, and ligaments.

"Back pain is one of the most common causes of pain, and has various causes. Acute back pain is characterized as pain that comes on suddenly and usually lasts anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Back pain that continues for more than three months is characterized as chronic back pain.

"Whether the pain is due to muscle strain or a more serious condition, there are a wide variety of treatments available. The most common treatments are non-surgical and include pain medication, heat or ice therapy, manual manipulation, massage therapy, exercise, or epidural steroid injections. Prior to starting any type of treatment, it is advisable to see a spine specialist to develop an appropriate treatment plan."

BETTER BUT NOT CURED

05/26/2010: Peter from Chicago, Il writes: "TO BILL FROM SAN FERNANDO

Can you explain Ted's formula on back pain, 4/18 post just take 8 caps on empty stomach, however older post just one cap and drink with glass of water. How many caps equal to one teaapoon ?

Thanks Bill for your expertise. You always able to explain that I could understand.

Ted 4/18/2010
My formula that works is as follows: 500 mg of Hyaluronic acid powder (sodium hyaluronate) plus 9 grams of sea salt in 500 cc of water. Store in refrigerator when not in used. The dose is about 8 caps three times a day empty stomach. It takes about 2 weeks to completely remove all back pain and the joint affected area in extremities may take a little longer. I have a couple of cases with severe spinal degeneration of cartilage and gets fully restored upon taking of HA.

OLDER POST 2009
Prepare 500 mg of pure Sodium Hyaluronate using cold water in 500 cc of clean water, add 6 grams of sea salt. This will get you 0.1% concentration of sodium hyaluronate in saline solution. Take about one capful mixed in a full glass of water at least twice a day. It takes between 2-3 weeks to fully see the dramatic improvements, at the very least."

05/26/2010: Bill from San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines replies: "Hi Peter...Always take the most recent remedy from Ted as the best remedy, since Ted's remedies never remain static and are always evolving. I've studied his remedies for some years now and this is the way he works. Although confusing, I find this completely understandable, because Ted is a very careful man.

So the one to follow is the 4/18/2010 remedy, here is my translation of that remedy:

Take 500mg of hyaluronic acid plus 9 gms(two teaspoons approx) of sea salt in 500 cc of water and refridgerate. Take 8 capfuls of this liquid every day in a full glass of water...

The term 'caps' or 'capfuls' means the cap from the bottle you are storing the mixture in. Do not worry about EXACT measurements here, since both ingredients are not poisonous.

Also, all his remedies are approximately based on a human being weighing about 150 lbs. So if you weigh more, take a capful or two more and if you weigh less than 150 lbs, take less. Ted will expect you to do this, since even he admits that all his remedies may take a little adjustment. And the worst than can happen here is that you get loose stools from, perhaps, taking too much sea salt."
05/27/2010: Peter from Chicago, Il replies: "Bill,

Should I take 8 caps with cup of water (3) times per day, total of 24 caps each day ? Thanks."

05/27/2010: Bill from San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines replies: "Hi Peter...Yes, take 8 caps 3 times a day. If it gives a reaction like loose stools, then cut down the dose to 2 times a day."
09/14/2010: Victoria from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Hi Ted, I absolutely love your remedies, but now that I am 6 months pregnant I am wondering whether it would be safe to use the hyaluronic acid? Or do I need to wait until after I have the baby. I have never had back pain before now! Thanks for any assistance."
10/26/2010: Stephen from Brisbane, Qeensland Australia replies: "How much liquid hyaluronic acid is eqevilant to 500mg of hyaluronic acid in Ted's back pain remedies?"
01/03/2011: Worriedwife from Manistique, Mi replies: "I am looking for HA powder. I can only find liquid or capsules... Ted says to use 500mg of HA powder... To get the powder from the capsules will cost more than we have, at least from the sources I have been able to locate. My husband needs something to help rebuild cartilage. He is in constant pain and says he can feel the bones rubbing on each other. He misses out on so much with our young children.. He can't go build snowmen or throw the ball for them. He can't even hold our 7 month old for more than a few minutes.

I am desperate for some help for him! We have tried so many things, Ginger & turmeric for inflammation, shark cartilage for rebuilding cartilage, Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda... We are waiting for 35% H2O2 in the mail right now as we have read some wonderful things on that too, but we want to hammer it hard and get him back to the way he used to be! Please help! "

01/03/2011: Lanos from So.california, Usa replies: "I have not tried it myself but someone spoke about using Knox geletin over a period of time to rebuild osteoarthritic knees. Hope this an answer for your husband. May God bless you."
01/03/2011: Mmsg from Somewhere, Europe replies: "There has been talk here about gelatin for such things."
01/05/2011: Kathleen from San Antonio, Texas, United States replies: "Try http://purebulk.com for HA. It's been mentioned a few times on this site. I think it was mentioned by Ted."
01/06/2011: Lisa from Lafayette, La replies: "Worried wife, did someone answer you? I get mine from purebulk.com. I buy the package that cost around 70.00 and it has lasted me several months so far. I still have half of it left. I mix it up according to the recipe on the website, in a bottle of filtered or store bought water. Don't put anything but the HA powder in it. My method is on this website, I am sure you can find it if you put in Hyaluronic Acid and look for the posts by Lisa regarding this product. It has really really! Helped my husband, his mom and his dad. They are all benefitting greatly by way of less pain in knees, elbows, backs, more energy, feeling quite younger (parents are 80 and 82). You will, I feel, benefit from it, as will your husband. Just mix up 1 1/2 teasp. Of the powder in 16 ounces of (COLD) water. Just add the HA powder straight to the water, after pouring a bit off the top so the powder will fit. Give a shake, put back in fridge, shake every 4 hours or so. In 12 hours, it's thick and ready to go. We have been using this method since the beginning. I even have been giving it to my 11 year old dachsund baby, and she has began (very quickly) acting half her age! We were so thrilled with her increase of energy, and she is running around like a young dog. Good luck, and God bless you and your husband. I will say a prayer of healing for him. God answers ALL prayers. Trust Him."
01/06/2011: Lisa from Lafayette, La replies: "To worried wife, I forgot to tell you, purebulk also has smaller packages starting at $20.00. This will last your husband maybe 2 months. That is your best starting point, just in case he just doesn't want to use it, you won't have excess just sitting around going to waste."
01/16/2011: Dg from Rosemead, Ca replies: "Ebay have Hyaluronic acid 5 grams for less than $ 15 including shipping. I don't know if the quality is the same with purebulk.com or not though."
01/19/2011: Worriedwife from Manistique, Mi replies: "I am thankful for all your help and prayers!! I did find it on purebulk.com and also lots of good info on the supplements page here on EC. We haven't started the HA yet, as we are waiting for it in the mail. We did recieve the food grade hydrogen peroxide. It is helping a little, he says. I will keep everyone posted. Keep on praying. We have been praying for years, and The Lord has revealed so many things to us! This site is one of those things. SO MANY wonderful things we can do for our bodies! He said, "My people perish for lack of knowledge... " We have gained LOTS of knowledge from all of you here! THANK YOU!!!!"
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  02/28/2011: Worriedwife from Manistique, Mi, Usa replies: "Actually, I'm not so worried anymore! The HA seems to be working pretty good. He notices that there is much less creaking in his neck now and he has had LOTS less pain!!! Yay! At a prayer service last week, he was prayed for and the huge knot in his back was taken away and has not returned! God is good! I think the HA. is filling in the cartilage too, where it seemed like there was calcification before. I can now feel individual vertebrae instead of one big, hard lump. Just wanted to drop a line and fill you in as to what is going on here... Thanks for everything!"
05/17/2011: Terese from Terranora, Nsw, Australia replies: "Does anyone know where you can buy HA in Australia? I have been on ACV and baking soda, Mini Beetroot Protocol which has been working just fine and now would like to take it one step further and get rid of my back pain and body pain. Thanks earthclinic, I am now addicted to the simple things in life!!"
05/17/2011: Gavin from Manganui, Northland, New Zealand replies: "Why not try.. Ginger.. Cayenne and tumeric?.. The ginger acts like a Cortico steroid without any side effects.. its relative Tumeric compliments the Ginger, and the Cayenne opens up the blood vessels so all the goodies get to where they are suposed too.

My back cleared up in about a week, and even after some heavy work dosn't play up like it used too. I 've got used to taking it everday and the benifits are an all round increase in health.

Their was a three year trial.. after three years all the Sciatica Lumbago and osteo arthurits patients reported a 100% decrease in pain and the Rhumatoid Arthuritis patients reported a 75% decrease so its well worth a trial."

05/17/2011: Gail Symons from Wheelers Hill, Vict. Australia replies: "Australians can purchase powered ha from

www.nikitanaturals.com. cheers, gail symons"

05/24/2011: Terese from Terranora, Nsw Australia replies: "Hi Gavin,

Is there an amount of ginger, cayenne and tumeric you should take per day? I was going ok until I started working outside again, killer pain! Every day is like the second day at the gym for me."

05/24/2011: Gavin from Manganui, Northland, New Zealand replies: "You can take as much Ginger as you like, their have been no reported side effects. The equivalent of a cubic centimetre of the raw root should be enough to build it up in the body over a few days. Its at least as effective as Ibophrophen but without side effects. If you google "Ginger and backpain" you'll get more information. After a while it binds with the "Cox inhibitor"... I know if I let the back recover by taking it easy it clears the aches up nicely. The problem with cartilege is its lack of blood supply I think thats where the cayenne comes in.. By giving extra blood supply so it can grow back where its needed. I did my back in many years ago but this definiatly helps."
05/24/2011: Mike from Montreal, Quebc replies: "Ted or Bill, 2 questions: (1) why do you use Sea Salt with your backache formula (2) MSM has no side effect so why not recommend MSM instead it also works fro joint pain ? Thanks"
[YEA]  06/10/2011: Not Worried Anymore!! from Manistique, Mi replies: "My husband is SO much better!! After about 6 months of taking HA he is a new man! He used to be going to the chiropractor 2x weekly, now hardly ever! No more headaches (he used to live with a headache), he can garden without his legs stiffening up and falling asleep, he can play with the kids, and hold the baby... Yay! We took down an old house on the property next door to us and he lifted heavy beams and loaded a big trailer full. He could never have done any of that before. He says he is 90% pain free! What a miracle! The only thing he has done is taking ginger and turmeric (50/50 mix- heaping TBSP 3x a day), and the HA powder from purebulk.com -1TB 2x a day in water. He had never dreamed of feeling this good ever in his life! Every month he notices more and more benefits.

Thanks to the suggestions above, he is going to try mixing cayenne pepper in the ginger and turmeric too. At 40 years old, he says this is the best he ever remembers feeling. He has had pain from his childhood and now he knows how to live without pain! Thanks everyone for all your feedback and help! May God bless you richly"

[YEA]  06/04/2007: Mimmer from LONDON, ENGLAND writes: "Hi all, I was chatting with a lady at work who suggested BSM and ACV [apple cider vinegar]. For a year I have suffered with constipation, bad back and general tighness of muscles in the neck area. For 20 yrs i have had trouble with fibroids (had surgery but too multiple to remove all). On 26-5-07, I bought BSM and ACV. I took it right away, doses-2 large spoons of BSM in warm water, followed by 3 tablespoons of ACV in warm water. I done this morning b4 breakfast and last thing at night. The second day on it I had a very easy bowel movement and have done everyday since. My constipation is now a thing of the past. My back (which I had to get medication from the doctors for-didnt help) was cured during the week, along with the muscle ache. I sleep deeper and dont seem to eat as much. I totally know that this 'tonic' as I like to call it will clear my fibriods eventually. I also want to see after 3months how i do as I want to give it to my Auntie for her Arthritis. I thank you all for posting your experiences as this has given me constant strength and encouragement. I look forward to this journey and please if you are having or have had VICTORY over fibriods with 'The Tonic' then please post so I can read it. I am a big beliver in foods for healing and this sure is a testament to God's produce. smiles "

I was in so much pain for many many years with severe back problems, and then 2 years ago was diagnosed with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The dr. prescribed steroids, and 2 different immuno suppressant drugs and the side effects were horrible. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning, my joints and muscles hurt so bad, i also have fibromyalgia. I started this regimen about a month ago and saw immediate results. In January, 2006 I was diagnosed with acid reflux, which resulted with pills every day. Since taking the AVC I haven't had to take any medication for the acid reflux. [YEA]  10/21/2005: George from Fairfield, CA writes: "I have a back problem and it got even worse when an employee that I work with pushed me from behind and I found myself on the floor in pain. Good thing there was nothing broken but it left me with a terrible back pain. I could hardly walk and if I do, it would be like a slow motion picture. I was downing anti-inflammatory 3x a day, but the doctor only recommends 2x a day. I really don't care at that time. I was also taking tylenol around 12 tabs a day plus a muscle relaxant. None of it work or if it did, it would only provide very little relief which is close to nothing. Then a friend of mine mentioned ACV and I remembered my mom telling me about that about 2 and a half decades ago. I went to the internet and found this site. I thought I would give it a try. Nothing to lose on my part, but everything to gain. The first couple of days of taking ACV, it really didn't do anything for me. But on the third day, I felt a tremendous change. My pain was almost gone. I want to mention that on the second day, I didn't stick to the 3x a day regimen for ACV. I think I drank ACV at least 7 times (3 tablespoons each dose) for the second day. When I felt my pain was almost gone, I went back to my 3 times a day. And up to now, I am still taking ACV. And I am only taking half a pill of my medication for the whole day. This miracle happen in a span of 3 days. It was like a birthday present to me because the third day was my actual birthday and I was able to entertain friends that came over. ACV is a true natural miracle. Thanks to ACV I once again have my life back. Thanks to my mom also for just being mom."

ATLAS ALIGNMENT, ROLFING

10/24/2011: Cateye from Melbourne, Vic., Australia writes: "My mother, aunt, great-aunt, sister and I have this issue. My mother calls it her witches hump.

I thought I was stuck with it, I always stood and sat with my neck jutting forward as if unable to straighten. It looked gross, 'slovenly' in photos.

I suspect it is a physiological problem caused by injury, fluoride/excess calcium-on-a-genetic-pattern combo and other damage compounded by psychology.

For the last ten years I've been trying to manage and cure my back pain, and I've recently made huge *HUGE* leaps towards cure. I've never felt so strong or so pain-free (and mentally calm) as the last six months or so since I had my atlas aligned. I wrote the speil under the 'scoliosis' heading too, because it seems to have corrected the twist between my shoulders.

But the hump has disappeared altogether. I'm 38 and really thought I'd turn in to the classic, brittle, wisp of a British Lady Crone figure by 55-60yrs... And was well on the way. Now I see myself as a staunch old lady with an imposing presence. : )

The most dramatic change was having my atlas aligned. SUCH a dramatic thing I can't stress it enough. The other is to find a genuine 'Rolfer', also known as 'structural integration' practioner, who essentially looks at where your body is going wrong and irons out the issues over ten sessions. I heard it was called 'The Rolls Royce of Massage' before I'd tried it, and I certainly agree now. I can't go back to budget massage. Too annoying realising these people don't know what they're doing and you're paying them to do it.

Anyhoo, my two cents. Atlas alignment is brilliant. So is Rolfing.

Best."

I take a pretty hot bath with Epsom Salt, A bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil in the bath and soak for 20-30 minutes. It helps alleviate the pain a great deal. You can also get on your hands and knees (all fours) and tilt your pelvis and this relieves pressure. I hope this helps."

BALL POINT PEN TECHNIQUE

Ratings:

YEA

[YEA]  06/16/2009: Redou from New Orleans, Louisiana writes: "I'm not a doctor, THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, I'm only telling you what happened to me. Consult you doctor before you try anything.
If you get hurt, don't waste your time suing me, you won't get much.

This post will probably be too long for most readers, but if you have LOWER BACK PAIN, I want you to know that I understand what you're going through.

I fixed my LOWER BACK PAIN with a BALL POINT PEN - no, I didn't write a check. First some background and then I'll get to the point.

I had back pain for 28 years - from age 17 to age 45. I'm 53 now and except for a couple of 'twinges' NO PAIN IN 8 YEARS.

I spent an average of 3 days a month on my back.

I had pain 75% of the time.

I used to pee in a jar because it hurt too bad to get up and go to the bathroom.

My wife had to put on my shoes and tie them for me.

To pick up something, I had to get down, slowly, on my knees and only if it wasn't heavy.

I used to pay $80 for a hotel room just to get out of the car. I never slept in the hotel bed. I slept on the hard floor.

I couldn't do a lot of things like camping or hiking or dancing.

I thought of myself as a cripple.

I lived in fear of that pain, like a knife in my lower back, making me go to the ground. I never knew when it was going to hit.

I went to doctors and chiropractors and spent a lot of money. Had a lot of X-Rays done. I'll probably die of cancer.

I was told that:

- one leg was longer than the other (chiropractor)
- I needed special shoes or lifts in my shoes (chiropractor)
- I had a herniated disc (doctor)
- I had soft tissue damage (doctor)
- I had cracked vertebrae (doctor)
- I needed surgery (at least 3 doctors)

I tried:

- heating pads (temporary relief)
- popping my own back (sometimes temporary relief, sometimes made it worse)
- bed rest - or on the floor rest (sometimes back to work the next day, sometimes 3 days to a week on my back)
- stretching exercizes prescribed by doctors (useless)
- very hot baths (temporary relief often followed by worse pain)
- TENS unit - electric stimulation - I bought one (temporary relief)
- heat, TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation)followed with 'manupulation' (back popping) by chiropractors (temporary relief, usually followed by pain shortly thereafter or the next day
- hard mattresses, soft mattresses, hard chairs, soft chairs (hard chairs worked better for me)

I never ate any pills except over-the-counter muscle relaxors. I won't eat a pain pill. Too easy to get addicted.

Ok. I'm getting to the point:

One day I'm lying on the floor, missing work. My girlfriend is looking at the computer and trying to help me. She is reading about a home remedy for back pain. I'm telling her don't waste yourtime, go in the bedroom, there's a stack of books in there about back pain. Some by a girl named Zimmerman, if memory serves. I think it was a British physical therapist that told me about this cure, but with the pain, and not thinking clearly I really can't remember. Whoever it was, they have my eternal gratitude.

What the person on the net was recommending:

- wait until your pain gets better, don't start fixing it while you're having a lower back pain episode.
- Once your back gets back to 'normal' (for me that meant I was able to work around the pain, go to work, go somewhere)- Then
get a ball point pen.
- Drop your drawers, bend over until you just start to feel scared. (most back sufferers don't like to bend over, that's often when the pain hits you)
- Place your fingers on your thighs, flat in the front, and make a mark with the pen where your middle finger touches your thighs one mark on each leg. Don't bend below where you feel comfortable (meaning don't go below the mark)
- DON'T Wash the marks off.
- For the next week, BENDING ONLY AT THE HIPS, KEEPING YOUR
LOWER BACK STRAIGHT - TOUCH THOSE TWO MARKS 100 TIMES EVERY DAY.
- Don't do it all at once, ten here, twenty there, and only if you feel safe doing it.
- After a week , if you feel comfortable with it, make a mark 1/2 inch (THAT'S ONE HALF OF AN INCH) below the first marks and now
spend a week touching those new marks 100 times a day.
- You can see where this is going - All the way down to your toes.
- I took three months to do it.
- If you do it at 1/2 inch at a time it will probably take you a year, (I think the person who invented this was being overly cautious and trying to make sure no one got hurt)

Anyway, after 3 months of touching the slowly descending marks 100 times a day, I could touch my toes. Without fear. (But I would kind of work my way down each day) I had not bent over and touched my toes for 28 years. Now I could do it every day. And I still do it now. The lower back pain was (and is) GONE.

1) My theory - the reason this works - is that I had babied my back for years and the right muscles, the ones that are supposed to hold you up and aid in flexing and extending a person's back - were WEAK. I realized that all the treatments I had tried only treated the SYMPTOMS and did not solve the PROBLEM - my WEAK back. Also, I was able to function for many years with a bad back, but I believe I was using the WRONG MUSCLES. When my back was locked up, my spine was crooked, the wrong muscles were trying to do a job they were not intended for. Also, and this is important, I don't believe I had any real DAMAGE to my back, nothing broken or torn, that is why I think anyone who wants to try this should go to their doctor and make sure nothing is broken first.

I still touch my toes 100 times a day, twenty here, ten there. I keep a concrete block outside my back door and every now and then I bend down and lift it WITH MY BACK, not with my knees like the doctors say. DON'T TRY THIS YOURSELF. Now my back is strong, my muscles are flexible, and circulation in that area is good. Weak muscles are TENSE and have poor circulation. STRONG muscles are flexible and have good circulation.

Another thing I believe is that many back sufferers are stressed out people, their stress shows up in muscle tension. I don't think that is the only reason for back problems, but I believe stress is a major contributor.

GOOD LUCK

09/16/2009: Redou from Amite, Louisiana replies: "Hello Lita209

I apologize but I don't have a picture of this technique. Actually, I'm not sure a picture would help because all it would be is a person bending over and straightening up -again and again.

However, it's not complicated. My back pain was concentrated in my lower back so that's the area this exercize focuses on. If you bend over, your upper body is heavy. Raising and lowering your upper body will work your lower back. When people stand, they generally have a natural curve to their lower spine.

This curve points to the front, the way they are facing. (I have seen people who have poor posture have a backwards curve to the spine). Anyway, when you bend over, your body should bend like a folding knife, two straight lines at an angle to each other, and the natural curve of your lower back should now point downward.

Your legs should be straight and, when you bend, you should feela stretching all the way down the backs of your legs. When you lower your upper body (start to bend) you should feel it pull the muscles in your lower back which was a scary feeling - at the time - for a chronic back sufferer like me. That is why you only bend over just a little bit at a time.

Do not use the middle of your back to bend and do not round your back. Keep your back straight all the way from your butt to your neck. As you lower your upper body to touch the marks on your legs, you will feel the muscles in your LOWER BACK stretch as you move downward to the marks. This means you are using only your lower back muscles to lower your entire upper body.

Then as you raise your upper body back to an upright, erect posture, you will feel the muscles in your lower back contract. If you keep your entire back straight - all the work is being done by the muscles in your lower back. This felt strange to me when I first tried it and I realized that I had been avoiding using these muscles for years. In my case, when I used to have back problems, these muscles were constantly tense and I used the muscles in my middle back or sides to bend - if I did any bending at all.

The 'ball point pen method' is pretty much exactly what the doctors tell you not to do when they advise 'pick up something by bending your knees and not your knees - not your back'. Well, I agree with them that if you are picking up something really heavy then you don't want to overload your back but, excuse me, your upper body is definately supposed to be lifted by healthy strong and flexible lower back muscles.

One more way of looking at the exercize is this: Think of the natural curve of your lower back pointing downward as
you bend. You will feel this curve increase as you raise your upper body. You will feel this curve flatten as you lower your upper body. You will feel your lower back muscles expand and contract. You should not feel the muscles in your middle or upper back doing anything.

I hope this helps, good luck, Redou."

05/12/2010: Teresa from St Louis, Mo replies: "The reason why this works is because you are doing a flush on your lymphatics, taping the sides inside and out of your legs(tender points) this gets rid of junk in your trunk!"
02/04/2012: Anonymous from Wroclaw, Dolnoslaskie, Poland replies: "I don't believe that it's because of muscles, they don't suddenly become strong. As Teresa said, it's because of unlocking lymphatics, or because of fixing misplaced disks."

COCCYX PAIN

Also, have you considered using castor oil packs? I have been using castor oil packs, in part for what I feel may be a dysfunctional liver and a tailbone area that from time to time becomes so hurtful, it feels like it was just injured. Difficult to touch, as if the skin were torn away (a site for Fibromyalgia pain, too). In any event, the castor oil packs are miracles. Try them."
02/04/2012: Anonymous from Wroclaw, Dolnoslaskie, Poland replies: "I healed my tailbone pain (or was it pain of the disk between the tailbone and spine) with McKenzie method, but this exercize is also popular in many systems of stretching. You lie on your belly, place your palms on the floor or bed at the level of your head, and you rise your body using your hands. You will feel lower back area straightening. You can adjust your hands to reach painful spot precisely.

If it's too strong for you, start lightly. After some practice you can add one move to strenghten this - when you are in upmost position, breath air out of your stomach and lungs.

Do it 10 times every 2 hours for 2 weeks, than allow some time for regeneration."

I was just looking through ec and ran across coconut oil for back pain. Mine is constant enough I toss and turn all night, and can't sit in same position for more than few minutes. I thought why not try the co even though I was skeptical I really had nothing to lose. I applied to my lower back before bed and sure enough pain eased off tremendously, probably 70-80%, I couldn't believe it. Next three nights I applied coconut oil before bed and I haven't tossed and turned at all. I don't know why it worked for me and am curious as to how. I don't know long term results but am definitley satisfied with the short term."

I tried using the heating pad, the massager, taking some ibuprofren (my last resort), but nothing helped. A few hours later, I gave my dog a treat with coconut oil on it (which she loves) and as I was scooping it out, I took a bit of the coconut oil for myself. About 10 minutes later, I felt almost no pain and I began to wonder why. Could it be the coconut oil? I checked it out online and found some people who said they had success with it for back pain, so I took more. I am so pleased with how good I feel and how quickly it worked! I am taking it on my trip with me now and will always do so in the future!"

In fact my dad makes jewelry and after he discovered that copper helped him with his bad back pain he started making copper bracelets for sale. He has been selling them for over 15 years and the personal testimonials he's heard are remarkable. The amount that it helps is individual of course and varies but most people feel at least SOME improvement while others say they experience DRAMATIC improvement. In any case it's cheap to try and can't do any harm. I'm surprised copper wasn't posted before and curious to read other people's experiences with this."

It made work very difficult, but I figured it would eventually go away on it's own. No dice. One day, after a week of back pain, I took about 1/2 teaspoon of DMSO to help my immune system recover after Lyme. I didn't realize it at first, but the back pain was gone within hours (probably sooner), and it NEVER came back! I even slept on that bad mattress again! lol not smart...

I should also add that some people are very sensitive to the smell of DMSO, and I "offended" at least one person."
