GOLDEN GRAPES SOAKED IN GIN

[YEA]  07/06/2011: Lorik24 from Newcastle, Va writes: "Hi, I hope this remedy is posted, even though it requires Gin (alcohol). I have researched this and recently tried it myself.

Soak a cup or more of yellow/golden/white raisins in about 1/2 cup of Gin. Make sure it's not the least expensive gin, or the most expensive. It is suppose to have something to do with the Juniper berries used to make the gin. Anyway you soak the raisin in a tightly covered container for at least a week. Then you take 9 a day, 3 in the morning, 3 mid day, 3 in the evening.

I have been bothered by arthritis pain not only in my right knee, but had tennis elbow or tendonitis in my left elbow. Also since my arthritis was very painful, I began walking strangely. After seeing my own MD then a sports medicine specialist, who wanted to 'inject' the site. I went to my holistic acupuncturist. After his treatment my knee felt much better, but my calf muscles began to hurt tremendously. My good friend and massage therapist said she thought it might be a ripped/torn calf muscle. It felt like a very tight charlie horse anytime weight was put on it.

My boss had been telling me about the gin soaked raisins, but I never bought the ingredients to make it up. After this July 4th holiday weekend, she brought me in a cured bottle. After just 2 days of 9 raisins, both my calf and elbow feel so much better. I will continue to use what she gave me and then replenish as necessary.

I do hope this gets posted. It works!

Thanks so much for this site.. Because of ACV I have not been sick in almost 3 years, or had a headache in the same time frame. Thanks to all!!

HOMEOPATHIC HYPERICUM

[YEA]  01/29/2010: Bc from Fair Lawn, Nj writes: "My mom, who is elderly, had bad osteoarthritis in one knee, with pain, swelling, and limited range of motion. It would be severe at times. She started taking homeopathic Hypericum 30c 2 pellets twice a day for something totally unrelated.

The same day she started it, she was surprised to find that the swelling and pain in her knee was very much reduced, and she now had full range of motion. That night, she told me she got into bed bending that knee for the first time in years!

At first we thought it was just the change in weather, but it continued getting better so that she no longer needs a cane. She stopped taking it after two weeks, and the pain started to creep back, so she has started it again, with improvement again.

It was startling how fast the improvement was. We consider it a miracle, since we weren't even treating arthritis. It's nice to have a positive side effect for a change."

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  09/24/2009: Lee773 from Chicago, Illinois, United States writes: "I have been reading and researching for the last few weeks about the many cures of Hydrogen Peroxide 35% Food Grade. I purchased a bottle from ____, and had my mother start with the treatment 1 drop in an 8 ounce glass of water 3 times a day, increasing the drops by one drop each day. She is now up to 5 drops as of today, and will be on her 6th drop tomorrow morning. My mother has been suffering from severe artritis for many years, but over the last year it has gotten to the point where she could barely walk. So let me tell you that as of today 9-24-2009, since starting this therapy of oral ingestion 5 days ago, she is not complaining at all of the pain in her lower back, left shoulder, wrist or leg areas. My mother said the only thing she feels now is stiffness in the back of her leg (knee area), but its starting to loosen up. I can tell by looking at how she walks now compared to last week, that it is working for real, It is still early, but I have to say that I am shocked!

Today as I was talking to her, she told me that the feeling in her toes have returned, she didn't bother to mention this to any of my siblings or myself until I was asking her how she has been feeling, since I got her started on the Hydrogen Peroxide 35% diluted with the dropper in 8 ounces of water. By the way my mother is 85 years old. I don't know what to expect as we continue with this therapy, but I have to say I'm thankful for a site like this, and all the information that I have read online here, and all the readily available information on the internet. I will update as I continue to watch my mother's progress. Thank you again!

I have terrible pain in both knees ( left is injured so it's worse ). I keep a ( garden) spray bottle that holds 32 oz. of liquid. I fill it w/ 2or 3 oz.'s of drug store H202 hydrogen peroxide and 20 oz.'s of distilled water (various strengths can be tried depending on how sensative one's skin is to drying out. I keep this by my bed and shake and spray myself all over, especially knees and hips. It is not automatic like a pain pill but once you get that concentration to the joint IT DOES WORK. I'm 49 and have just experienced this pain in the last 5 years. If you can run around in shorts, spray the concoction on joints 4,5,6x's a day you will feel the difference. There are nights that I would not be able to sleep from the hip pain if I didn't spray."

Don't take calcium, evening primrose and glucosamine if you have any of the above conditions. Just try to eat less meat and plenty of fruit and vegetables. Fresh vege juice is very good also try 1 clove of fresh garlic a day. Tyrosine stops the shakes of Parkinson's very quickly. You will feel so much better."

Can you please explain why this is? I have had exteme pain in my foot for the last nine months and they have just arrived at the possible conclusion that it's osteoartritis in the outside of the navicular joint. I am currently in a cas and having laser treatment twice a week. I have been taking OEP for the last 5 months as it has really helped with menstrual cramping (from which I have suffered my whole life). I thought OEP reduced swelling/inflammation through the prostagladins. So I would really appreciate your reasoning behind saying that OEP should not be taken with artritis?

Many thanks, and very best wishes, Tandi"

MAGNETS

[YEA]  07/21/2007: John from Brunswick, Ohio writes: "I repaired my arthritis that was causing three bad discs in my lower back. My surgeon told me I was to full of arthritis and there was nothing they could do for me and sent me to the pain clinic. A friend of mine called me to tell me about a meeting on using permanent magnets to repair my arthritis problem. I went to the school and learned how to use magnets. I bought a few magnet pads, and experimented with my problem, the one that made me believe in the magnets was what happened when I went to the hospital to have my pacemaker replaced, they took the pacemaker out, but held me for a few days while they run me throw an MRI to better see what was going on with my back and put a new pacemaker in on the other side of my chest a few days later. That night after they removed the old pacemaker, the incision from cutting out the old pacemaker swelled up, so I put one of my magnet pads over the swelling, and to my surprise after forty-five minutes the swelling was down to nothing. After what the magnets did for the swelling made me want to make my own magnet pads, I wanted something to penetrate deeper into my back so I made my own magnet pads using 12,000 gauss magnets to reach deeper into my body. I placed the pads on my side of the bed and slept on them for a year, and during the day I would put a pad over my lower back were I had the bad discs. I also started taking coral calcium to rebuild the discs that was eaten out from the arthritis, I needed to get a lot of exercise to bring the mussels back that I lost to support my body, but it was all worth it to be able to enjoy life again."

MULTIPLE REMEDIES FOR ARTHRITIS

QUESTION

[YEA]  02/07/2012: Regina from Marietta, Ga writes: "First I'd like to thank everyone for their input. This site is a life saver.

So, I came down with terrible pain in my wrist, fingers, right hip, knee, foot and lower back. It became so unbearable at times that I could not walk or get out of the chair, and I thought that this is no life. If I had to live like this forever I'd rather be dead. However, I prayed and found the answers. Since I don't have insurance anymore - which is a blessing not a curse - I had to self diagnose and realized that I have Osteo Arthritis.

I spent many hours in researching on the internet and found that there are several things I could do to not only stop the pain but also to reverse bone cartilage decay. And this is for all forms of Arthritis. To stop the pain: 3, 4, or 5 thin slices of Organic Ginger, 8-10 oz. of hot good water, 2 teaspoons of each Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey. Place the Ginger in a cup and pour the boiling water over it. Put a lid (Not plastic) or a small plate over it to cover. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Then add the ACV and Honey and drink this 3 times a day. It controls the pain to the point where I forget it is there. But for the long run do also exercise and eat undenatured Type II chicken cartilage and Gelatine. (I'll get to this later). Another important thing is to get all your trace minerals back into your body.

Exercise as often as you can. Every 2 minutes count. It does not have to be exhausting and you don't have to buy anything. Get something that has weight (a can of vetable, a plastic bag with sugar, or buy exercise weights). Start low, and do about 20 gentle reps. The pull on the bones strengthens them and you can feel a difference in a short period of time. Start with maybe 3-5 minutes several times a day, and build up. My favorte exercise is this: stand on your toes for a few seconds (maybe 5-10) and go back down. Do 20 repetitions, many times a day, and/or walk on your tippy toes for several steps keeping your neck up like a giraffe. There is no wrong way of doing it. Do this is as often as you can. I even do the toe up and down when standing in line for the cashier. These exercises are very powerful - don't under estimate them. Another good one is to stand with your feet a little bit apart, then bend your knees and go down a little bit but keep your back straight, like you have a broomstick along your spine. Never force anything that does not feel good to you.

Type II Undenatured Chicken Cartilage. This is so powerful that the Harvard University patented it. Undenatured means raw and it is the cartilage from the chicken's sternum. I personally would not eat that from a non-organic chicken because of the risk of contamination. There are many supplements on the market but many of them have been heat and/or chemically treated which destroys the effect. You need to do your own research on that. Tip: Dr. Joel D. Wallach is a Vet who has treated Arthiritis successfully in animals and people. I have red only an exerpt that was published online but I will get one of his books. He has used Chicken Cartilage and Gelatine, but I recommend to get only Organic Gelatine since the regular one is treated with heat and chemicals.

And last but not least: Minerals. If you have been eating non organic (conventionell) fruits and vegetables, or even worse - packeged stuff, you are definitely deficient in essential trace minerals. Your body cannot do without them or you get all kinds of diseases. The cheapest and quickest way to remedy this is to get Organic Blackstrap Molasses. Take about 1-2 teaspoons a day. Indefinitely if you want. In addition to this I have also taken Boron supplement. I take 2-3 capsules a day, each capsule containing 3mg. The late Dr. Rex E. Newnham has cured his own arthiritis with it.

So this is my contribution to this website. Everything I have stated here has helped me to control my arthritis to the point where I sometimes forget it is there. I have just started this regimen about a week ago and it has helped very quickly, almost instantly, especially the ACV/Honey/Ginger Tea. However, I am not a doctor or healthcare professional. Do your own research and before starting anything new consult your doctor first.

Good luck and all the best to all of you."

[QUESTION]  01/27/2009: Katie from Philadelphia, PA writes: "Hi all, I absolutely love this site. I've used many of the cures (tea tree oil to avoid headlice in 5yr old daughter, turmeric and ginger tea for MRSA) and have come away with perfect results. However, I've been diagnosed with arthritis in my hip and it has been suggested to me the only way to relieve my pain is to have my hip replaced. I'm 30 yrs young, I do not want to resort to surgery just yet so naturally I've come to earthclinic for advice. I've been drinking 2tbs of raw, unfiltered ACV with 1tsp of organic honey or Agave Nectar in 8oz hot water every night for the last 3 weeks and it has done nothing for my pain. I decided to add 1 spoonful of blackstrap molasses every morning to my regime (just started this yesterday) and also added 1/2 tsp of turmeric to my ACV tonic. I was hoping for some relief this morning, but I'm still in pain and limping around. I'm going to continue with all of the above, but wanted to see if anyone had any other advice or perhaps just some words of assurance that this could eventually reduce my pain. Sincerely, Katie"

01/27/2009: Joyce from Joelton, Tn. replies: "Hello Katie: Sorry you are having so much pain and hope that you will try MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) to reduce or totally relieve it. It is some of the best stuff I have found for it, and don't be afraid to go above the l tsp. 3 times a day. My dosage usually ranges more like l Tbsp. 3 or 4 times per day. Of course, I am sure that good old pokeweed (poke sallet) grows in Pa. also and next fall you can also add taking poke berries along with the MSM, if you need to. Lots of luck and keep us posted. After all, we learn from each other."
01/28/2009: Katie from Philadelphia, Pa replies: "Joyce, thanks so much for the quick response! I would definetly be willing to try MSM. In what form does it come, or I should ask, what form do you find works best? I'll do some research on the net today, but I'm always apprehensive about purchasing products unless I have actual facts. Thanks again! I must say, I added fresh garlic to my nightly tonic last night and woke up this morning in less pain, which is awesome."
01/28/2009: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Hello Katie: You can buy it in capsules at places like the health food stores, drugstores, etc. Personally I find it runs cheaper by buying in dry (crystals) form. If you have a farmer's co-op close to you, check there first for a well packaged container of MSM (one not easily contaminated by prospective shoppers) and l00% pure MSM. It will probably be labeled with the dosage for your horse or other 4 legged's. but if it is l00% pure it is the same stuff you would be buying anywhere else. Matter of fact the first one I bought at a co-op here only stated 99.9% pure MSM but was also labeled food and pharmaceutical quality. After I started buying it in quantity for myself and friends, it still came in the same container with the same label, but after several years, it started arriving in the same container, same contents, but with a label & dosage for human consumption. They were giving this stuff to race horses for years before I read the article on "Breakthrough On Joint Pain" in Journal of Longevity and started using it myself. This little pearl of wisdom is what sent me to the co-op to search for it. When the co-op stopped carrying that particular one, I contacted the one who supplied it to them and bought it direct. It can also be found for sale on line. So can empty capsules and the little doo-hickeys to help you fill the capsules with the MSM."
01/28/2009: Candy from Fort Madison, IA replies: "for katie with the arthritis in her hip. you might try cod liver oil. it has gotten some bad press lately, but if you go to the weston price website, you will find some very valuable info. about cod liver oil. a lady from our church raved about how much it helped her knees. hope this helps."
01/28/2009: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, CA replies: "Hi I just wanted to say that I too have experienced a lot of physical pain, especially hip pain. Am always trying to find relief. MSM is amazing but I have tried ACV to some success. I started working with H2O2 about five days ago and am finding amazing relief. According to my Chinese medicine/ acupuncturist, all my pain is due to phlegm and dampness. The H2O2 is pulling so much out it's crazy. As a result, I feel amazing relief. Give it a try. Go to the H2O2 pages and read about it. I drink it according to the plan layed out in that section but, also gargle with it. I only use the 3% from the store."
01/28/2009: Robin from Rocky Ridge, Oh replies: "Oh please, please research your options before having joint replacement surgery! Check out a guy by the name of Pete Egoscue, I believe at www.egoscue.com. He is the author of several books as well. This guy started out as a physical therapist or something along that order. He started researching kinesiology and other movement methods and has come up with a way to overcome arthritic conditions.

You see, many cases of arthritis are alignment problems. Our muscles have memory and can loose that memory to do a specific job in a few days or less of bed rest from a cold, injury, etc. When you are back up and around, often times the wrong muscles start doing the wrong job. Over time, this pulls joints out of place and a rubbing of the cartilage starts. After awhile, the cartilage is worn to nothing and pain sets in. What most people don't know is, cartilage can regrow if the proper muscles are re-taught the proper job and joints are pulled back into place, eliminating the wearing away of the cartilage and a rejuvination of the joint takes place.

This guy helped Jack Nicholson (the famous golfer) when he was set to retire because of severe pain. One day he was to be in a tournament and was about to announce his retirement due to unbearable pain when an associate of his convinced him to try Egoscue out. He got an appointment that day and within a very short time on his first visit he had reduced his pain to the point that he made it to the tournament later that day. He then continued treatment with Egoscue until he made a complete recovery.

The last time I checked, you could find the simple movements meant to correct the alignment problems you suffer from on his website. I would suggest getting his books as a guide and for further research before you decide to go through with this surgery. All you would be out is some time and a few bucks for the books. It would be worth it if it saved you a complicated, painful surgery and rehabilitation if a simple movement plan could remedy the problem. Blessings, Robin"

I'm suffering from a knee injury due to my active lifestyle and since i'm not exactly young, i don't recover too easily. I've been having a bad knee for weeks now. But when i did my first oil pulling yesterday, i got IMMEDIATE results! My knee felt so light and i was able to do squats with no problems! I'm really a sceptic so i was finding ways to credit the improved knee flexibility to other 'health practices' of mine. But when my mom tried it later that night (she sufferes from acute arthritis), she too said that her joints felt remarkably better! i did it again this morning and later today, my heart was racing. Also, i feel a bit of discomfort in my private region. I don't know if it could be because i had an infection before and it was probably in the process of healing... i'll continue the OP and see what happens! I'm a convert!"

I heard that if you take it on a full stomach it acts as a digestive enzyme, if on an empty stomach, it acts as an anti-inflamatory and that's how it helps with the arthritis. (Hope I don't have that backwards!) MAG"

Bromelain, derived from the pineapple plant, is one of a group of proteolytic enzymes (enzymes capable of digesting protein)."

POKE BERRIES

03/03/2011: Kathryn from Tulsa, Ok writes: "Hello! My dad called me the other day to ask me to check online for poke berries to help him with severe arthritus pain he's been suffering with even with medication. I had never heard of such a thing being taken for that. And, like most everyone else, we had always been taught that they were poisonus! So, I started digging and came across this page. In my search I noticed that, even though it is available in the wild, no one mentioned where it might be purchased. Since we are not currently in a growing season, where might one PURCHASE poke berries to take till he can harvest his own? Alos, are there any pointers on harvesting?

Thank you so much for offering this thread and opportunity to reply!
Kathryn"

There will probably not be any in the wild until mid to late summer. My late husband knew what Poke Salad (as he called it) was. I was a bit reluctant to eat something growing in the wild, especially if you had to boil it 3 times to get it tamed down enough to eat. I like my boiled Poke Salad best scrambled with eggs! It tastes much like strong spinach.

His father was born in the Oklahoma Territory and that is who he learned about Poke Salad from.

We lived in the country near Baton Rouge, LA when my husband spotted some growing wild behind the house. I live in Waco, TX now and there was some growing on a vacant lot down the street from me last summer so it grows quite prolifically in the central US for sure. Perhaps you can find some seeds online and plant them for plants and berries this summer.

If the powers that be have their way we will have laws passed banning all except very weak prescription vitamins (Codex Ailamentarium). We are going to have to learn how to survive with what we know about medicines from Mother Nature. People survived before synthetic drugs came on the scene, we may have to go back to natural cures.

I found this reference online"This plant contains chemicals called the "pokeweed mitogens" that are being studied for use in treatments of autoimmune diseases including AIDS and rheumatoid arthritis". Another site mentions using the pokeberry dye in their solar power units. Another site mentions making pokeberry wine for arthritis. I did not find any mention of seeds for sale but the best site I did find is by a herbalist and has a lot of comments from other people that use the berries for gout, children's medicine made as a tincture for a cold, assorted other things. That site was www.wisewomantradition.com/about.html. Google said there was over 50, 000 references to poke berries so you may find seeds online with some reading. Good luck in your quest."

01/04/2012: Atlantiswaites from Phoenix, Az, Usa writes: "Hi, I'm surprised to not see the remedy of golden raisins soaked in gin for arthritis on this site. I learned of this from my aunt, who has arthritis in her neck (creating headaches) and knees, so her doctor actually told her to try soaking golden (they MUST be golden! ) raisins in any juniper berry gin. I gave some jars to my grandmother with rheumatoid arthritis and to my mother who has osteoarthritis for Christmas this year... it hasn't been long enough to get feedback from them so far, but my aunt swears this has helped her arthritis in her knees and neck.

Pour the gin to a level just above the level of the raisins in your jar.

Soak them for a week, which basically reconstitutes the raisins.

After that week, take anywhere between 5-10 raisins a day, whatever works for you.

Do yourself a favor and get two jars so that you can start your next jar as you start to run out of the first jar, otherwise, you'll have a week of no raisins."

First I tried all kinds of medications, none helped. While away on a 7 day cruise, I took no medications and had to suffer everyday. Upon returning, I found in my mail, a writing about remedies for arthritis. I sure was interested in it right away, someone claimed, by soaking raisins in gin and after a few days taking a spoon full of this would take away my pains. Sure enough I had these ingredients on hand, the next day after taking a table spoon of this, my pains were no longer around, I take this moderate in the morning and at bed time, 5 days have passed and no more nagging pains.
