[YEA] 08/18/2013: Nancy from Missouri: "I occasionally have bouts of arrythmia: weak, rapid, irregular heartbeats. I've found that a dose of magnesium taurate will get the heart rate back on track in an amazingly short time."
[YEA] 05/20/2013: Galaxy from Boston, Ma, Usa: "A magnesium complex containing magnesium oxide, magnesium citrate and magnesium aspartate cured my heart palpitations and arrythmias. I take one 400 mg capsule every day at bedtime. I am so thankful for this website."
02/14/2011: Patty from Newport Beach, Ca: "I thought it was the best to use magnesium taurate to cure cardiac arrhythmia? Can anyone verify the best magnesium to take for this problem?"Replies
04/14/2011: Nevada Smith from Smithfield Township, Pa replies: "According to the book, The Magnesium Miracle, one of the most absorbable forms of magnesium [after an IV of magnesium] is magnesium oil [magnesium chloride] which is absorbed through the skin. Next would be magnesium glycinate, magnesium taurate & magnesium orotate. Magnesium citrate is fourth which is most popular due to it's cost. Magnesium oxide is a distant fifth and is poorly absorbed."
[YEA] 08/18/2012: Gemstatemom from Grangeville, Id replies: "I have had mild arrhythmia for many years, but it had gotten very bad a couple of months ago, enough to scare me and send me to the doctor. They basically said not much they could do, and that there is medicine but sometimes the side effects are not worth it. I started taking the Super Magnesium (2 tablets daily) from _____ and have not had a single episode since then."
08/19/2012: Geneva from Paragould, Ar replies: "When my heart gets out of ryhthm I take cayenne pepper tea and in a few minutes it is back to normal and I feel better."
[YEA] 12/01/2011: Alan from Toooomba, Qld Australia: "Hi every one just a quick word to let everyone it's been 2 months to the day since I posted I was taking Magnesium and COQ10 so therefore I have been taking these supplements for 3 months now and guess what? Still no Arrythmia. I don't think about when the next time it may happen now, this a great site to gain knowledge for your health and wellbeing. I hope this helps someone."
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 10/01/2011: Alan from Toowoomba, Australia: "I have been suffering from Cardio Arrythmia for about thirteen years about once or twice a month, sometimes more I have been to a few doctors and they have said that no one has died fom it yet BUT it is very scary, the longest time period it has lasted is five hours so I went straight to the Doctor while it was still happening so he could properly diagnose the condition I HAVE BEEN ON PRESCRIPTION ASPIRIN SINCE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF STROKE also a prescription drug for the control of the rhythym but it still happened.
Five weeks ago I went to a Naturopath and he put me on Magnesium and Co-enzyme Q10. Since starting on these natural medications I have had one short burst of Cardio Arythmia for about fifteen seconds and that's all in five weeks, I will keep posting of this improvement if there is anymore improvement."
[YEA] 02/22/2014: Nancy from Missouri: "Blackstrap molasses! Sometimes--not often--I suffer from arrhythmia. Happened last night, still had it this morning. Tried Mag and ACV/baking soda without effect. Downed a big spoonful of blackstrap molasses, and my pulse became steady within a short time. Amazing!"
[YEA] 02/09/2009: Bill from Sterling Heights, MI: "arrythmia: I had a heart attack when I was 52; I am 63 now. I have kept my diet to a minimum of saturated fats although I believe in using butter and olive oil instead of margarine. I take supplements that included: fish oil, spirulina, flaxseed oil, garlic, glucosamine, msm, chondroitin, co-q 10,men's mega multiple, green source multiple, and a few others now for the past 11 years. In mid November 08, I started heart palputations that have been coming on more frequently. Some of my blood work over the years have indicated low potassium and I have been suspecting now that it is causing the arrythmia. Lately now I have been taking an occasional spoonful of sorghum or molasses, which has seemed to help. Last night (2/8/09) as I tried to sleep I had the arrythmia fairly heavily. Deep breathing did not help me. Finally I got up at midnight and took a .025 mg. xanax and a tablespoon of dark sorghum to wash it down. Within 1/2 hour the arrthymia went away and I got a good night's sleep."
EC: "Sweet sorghum is any of the many varieties of sorghum which have a high sugar content. Sweet sorghum will thrive under drier and warmer conditions than many other crops and is grown primarily for forage, silage, and sugar production."
"Sweet sorghum syrup is called "molasses" or "sorghum molasses" in some regions of the U.S., but the term molasses more properly refers to a different sweet syrup, made as a byproduct of the sugarcane or sugar beet production."
09/29/2010: Bohnney from Bakersfield, Ca, Usa replies: "I'm going to purchase some molasses shortly so I can have the potassium ready when I am out of bananas and/or veggie juice. For a few days I had been having A-Fib symptoms and then earlier today I ended having a serve A-Fib attack. It was bad enough that I thought I was going to end up in the hospital again. But then, I got to thinking about the chips I ate yesterday and the fact that I hadn't been eating my daily banana or two for about a week. So, I opened a bottle of veggie juice and downed 12 ounces. After about 15 minutes I poured another glass of juice and started eating a banana. Within 25 minutes of drinking the first glass of veggie juice I could feel my heart go into a more regular rhythm. RELIEF! I finished off the second glass of juice and banana and drank a third glass of veggie juice over the course of about two hours. I ended up ingesting between 1800 to 2000 mgs of potassium. I feel great now."
[YEA] 06/07/2007: Renee from El Dorado, Kansas: "I too found Molasses an instant treatment for my heart problem. Every night my heart has a delayed beat (confirmed with overnight monitor) but doctor gave me no treatment beyond giving up caffiene. While that helps, it doesn't totally eliminate it and I admit no caffiene is difficult for me. After the first day of 2 Tbls Molasses, I sleep through the night with no problems. And this is such a relief as it really is extremely scarey to awaken to no heart beat, over and over and over. This also cured my extremely heavy menustration"
[YEA] 10/11/2006: Peg from Omaha, NE: "I was low on potassium, and having heart arrhythmia because of it. 1 tbs each morning, and occasionally another tsp in the early evening keeps it away!"
12/12/2011: Ronbn56 from Tavernier, Fl: "for some years i have been sending in reports of my experience with arrhythmia. i have been hospitalized three times been given coumiden and told i need to stay on it for life as well as some other drugs for rapid heart beat. i have searched and searched and they do not make things easy for those searching for answers.
thank goodness for the internet. i have tried with some improvement juicing, fasting, diet, exercise, sea salt, and more but really got to the bottom of it when i discovered most things are digestive related. i found out i had symptoms of candida. i once had a white tongue, itchy anus constantly, sinus congestion, massive amounts of mucous after eating, and other seemily unrelated symptoms. it was then with all the stomach mucous i discovered was undigested protein and that was a result of lack of stomach acid and poor protein digestion. i put this all together and realized candida was in my stomach and my colon as well as the sinuses.
i started treating that and soon found my digestive problems were also my heart problems. when i first started taking hcl stomach acid there was massive die off of candida in my stomach and my intestines. finally i started to feel something with the die off. as unpleasant as it was, it was progress things that did not belong were dying. i also started taking systemic enzymes, and digestive enzymes and my digestion improved 100% as well as my a fib.
my theory is my colon was so full of toxic waste from undigested food it was poisoning my body and the heart was beating fast and out of rhythm in response to that poisoning. clean the liver and clean the blood with enzymes and juicing and many of the things bothering you will disappear. not right away but in time. try hcl and if one pill does not seem to give you any response of being too acid try two and up until you find the right amount. i gave one to a friend and he could not take one without feeling a burn. i take four and feel nothing. i had almost no stomach acid. if your stomach is not acid then your blood will be and that's a disease waiting to happen. you need the stomach acid strong and the blood to be alkaline for good health. i had just the opposite.
so here is what i did and i think i may have found the cure. i have taken no drugs for two years and am not dead yet. in fact i get healthier every day at age 66. rebounder, weights and running
hcl- three or four with each meal
digestive enzymes -three with each meal
juicing- carrot, apple beet celery cucumber every single day
mineral supplements TJ Clark"Replies
12/13/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Also good for you would be chlorella and spirulina. Read the free ebook at chlorellafactor.com. They clean the blood and detox the body and are very alkaline.
Also Ann Wigmore also recommended wheatgrass implants as a good way to clean the bowel but also get nutrients back into the bowel. Her book "The Wheatgrass Book" is excellent."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 07/01/2007: Lise from Wailuku, Hawaii: "I have used virgin olive oil (3 tablespoons a day with food)from Iherb online store. After about one week I felt my heart racing. I thought it was only hydrogenated coconut oil that would cause problems like that. Can anyone explain that please?"Replies
[SIDE EFFECTS] 01/01/2009: Floriana from Dallas, TX replies: "I think you're making a point here. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux so I am trying to watch what I eat. So I recently started to use only extra virgin olive oil, to cook or in salads. I buy the Walmart brand, probably no more than a small bottle a month. This because I heard on a TV show what the other oils can do to our health... Now I realize that I started having palpitations and trouble breathing about 2 months ago, kind of the time since I switched to extra virgin olive oil. Because I don't use this oil daily, maybe this is why I have days when I feel great and days when I have palpitations. Probably we'll find an answer here.
The fact is, my doctor recommended - of course! - Alprozalam and then Valium. Oh, boy! I didn't take any of them. I started taking Multivitamins, Omega3, Magnesium Chloride and St. John's Wort, instead, for about 2 weeks. I also felt a strange urge to eat a lot of lemons or limes, like never! I carried them in my purse. Whenever the palpitations or the trouble breathing started, a few bites of lemon calmed down everything. Then I didn't use the oil for a while, as I said, I rarely use it in food... I also slowed down on lemons. Few days after I finished the bottle of St. John's Wort, I had palpitations again. I thought that interrupting St. John's Wort was the cause, so I started taking it again. But it didn't work. Now I start to make the connection. Both after I interrupted St. John's Wort and after I restarted using it, I used some of the olive oil. I noticed that I have a weird reaction after eating something with that oil, either raw or cooked, several times. Though, I blamed it on the other ingredients or some bad food combination I might have made. Now I'll definitely stay away from that oil, and I'll also make some research on it, to see what is going on. Thanks for mentioning it!"
12/08/2013: Jeong from Auburn, Wa replies: "Please be aware that over 90% of the extra virgin olive oil sold in the US is adulterated with cheap vegetable oils like soy, canola, corn, etc. That is probably why you are having reactions when consuming the olive oil. There is an excellent book called, Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil by Tom Mueller. Your best bet is to go with virgin palm oil or virgin coconut oil."
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 03/18/2011: Wendy from Sydney, Australia: "Hi, I stumbled accross this site and just want to say a big thankyou for the helpful info. I am 49 and have had a dual chamber pacemaker (several) since I was 27. I have suffered with a multitude of different types of arrhythmias which the doctors just label sick sinus syndrome. More recently I have had episodes of VT. They tried several meds that my body just rejected and nearly killed me. Wanted to try burning my heart & if that didn't work - try putting a defribulator in. Providing I survive an op to take out all the current leads in there. That sent me on a path to find my own answers.
I would like to share with all the women sufferers out there not to discount the benefits of natural progesterone. Have to import it as in my country it is not available. (they just want to kill you with chemicals) I learnt a lot from reading the book 'what your doctor may not tell you about menopause' by John R Lee MD.
I also have been taking herbal medicine prescribed for me by a authentic Chinese doctor.
The combination of these has helped 50%. Im still not out of the woods yet which prompted my search.
I have followed the links and intend to start trying the vitamin methods as well. So thanks again I had started to give up. I knew there must be another way."
04/10/2012: Denise from Waxahachie, Texas, Us: "Six years ago was my first visit to the ER. No fast or racing heart, but abnormal beats that scared me beyond the worst horror flick every could! It felt as though someone was inside my chest hitting at my heart with their fist causing abnormal beats. This would last for seconds at a time. And then of course once I made it to the ER, nothing.
I then had several cardiologist visits and stress tests over the next 2-3 yrs. All was well. I wore the holter monitor twice. Nothing. But still I would have light "flutters" or heavy hits of abnormalcy. I would also have "tingling" in my hands. I was told by the Dr. it was Mountain Sickness having moved recently to Colorado. I was tired ALL the time and just could not function nor did I care to at this point.
A visit to a Denver naturopath suggested I was anemic. I was able to talk my MD into ordering an iron ferritin level test and sure enough, I was terribly deficient. The ND (naturopath dr) put me on iron, BSM, organ meats (organic) and to cook in an iron skillet.
Several more visits to MD's looking for answers provided nothing except one checked my Free T3 and Free t4 at my urging and found I was Hypothyroid. He placed me on Synthroid and I noticed some improvement but nothing superior.
Due to the fatigue, I gained about 12 lbs mostly around the belly. I spent thousands of dollars to travel to Texas to see a bioidentical hormone specialist. He put me on natural thyroid, progesterone, testosterone, zinc, Vit C. I stayed on iron as well and he also added D3.
I felt no improvement. The Dr. then put me on Estrogen cream. Within hours my heart fluttered and girated. I was frightened beyond belief. I called him and he told me to go to the ER, but he suspected it was the Estrogen cream and to go off of it.
Another ER visit showed nothing. Upon arrival my heart went normal.
Three years later, I am on Progesterone Cream for Heavy Cycles, Vit C in high doses(6000 per day down from 10000, was diagnosed with skin Melanoma), Iron (2x day), Chromium, Magnesium (3x day or 1200mg), DIM for Estrogen Metabolism, Milk Thistle for Liver, Resveratrol, Ubiquinol (CoQ10), Selenium, Potassium, Vit E, Iordoral. I am no longer on Synthroid as my levels were showing I didn't need them and my heart was pounding so the I went off of it. I had bloodwork that identified my levels too high so I knew I didn't need it anymore. I believe the dosage of Progesterone was beneficial in balancing or unblocking my hormones to the point that my thyroid hormones were "getting through".
I currently have noticed that after I eat I might or might not have heart "issues". I can be feeling wonderful and then when I eat a meal, I have arrhythmia. I also can have it when I lay down and so I have to sit up or stand up. Especially difficult when you want to go to bed at nite. I also have feelings of pressure below my sternum and I sometimes feel as though my heart is being "squeezed".
Breathing sometimes can be very difficult. But I have had pulmonary testing and I test in the normal ranges. I have had a sleep study done and all is ok. It simply feels as though I can't get any "air".
I have started the ACV and I notice it helps my heartburn. If I take HCL, my heartburn gets worse. No notice that the heart problems are improved by this though.
I have had metal analysis done which showed I had somewhat high levels of strontium, barium tin, , but nothing more. I have had all my crowns, root canaled teeth removed. It was shown I had some infection in them and a thermogram revealed this infection.
Also upon this analysis, my calcium level was 2140 out of a range of 600-800. I do not take calcium supplements. My Magnesium was 140 out of a range of 60-80. These tests were done 2 yrs ago and I would like to get them re-done to see what the numbers are considering I'm not any better.
So, any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated as I am at a loss at this point for answers."Replies
04/10/2012: Norm from Portland, Texas Usa replies: "You sound about like my simptoms for over 20 yrs. I started taking 30 mgs of CO Q10 with B1 or flush free niacin. I quit perscription drugs after great results. excuse my spelling.......Norm"
04/10/2012: Mike from Montreal, Quebec replies: "Have you ever heard of Hawthorn? It is a supplement that naturally REGULATES your heartbeat and lowers blood pressure.Whenever I feel a slight discomfort to the hearth, I take 6 capsules of Hawthorn and the pain usually goes away in matter of minutes.
Before I began taking this supplement I very often always had pain to the heart. After several years of taking it, I now rarely have any more episodes of heart problem unless I am exceptionally stressed out which happens quite rarely. I cannot believe that the doctors you visited never even suggested trying this herb which by the way has no side effects.
Just Google it and read more about this herb. Taking it in capsule form is quite effective as you don't need to consume it raw. By the way the brand I use is "Nature's way" in capsule form."
04/10/2012: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "If you look on the "Ailments" section of this website and look up Arrythmia.. Many people have had success. Also under Ailments if you look up "Tachycardia".. Scroll down to where it says Motherwort and Hawthorn and read that, it may help you."
04/10/2012: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Denise... Here are some suggestions for you:
No fast or racing heart, but abnormal beats that scared me beyond the worst horror flick ever could!
...Breathing sometimes can be very difficult.
This seems to confirm a lack of iodine in the body. See this research evidence. I had arrythmia and sudden racing heart and dizziness problems which, in my own case, were completely cured by taking both magnesium and oral lugol's iodine. Lugol's Iodine also contains potassium -- in the form of potassium iodide -- which would help you if you had a lack of potassium issues. Arrythmias can also be caused by diets containing aspartame and MSG. Allergies can also cause heart problems -- so have an allergy test to be sure. You could also just try eliminating dairy(lactose) and bread(gluten) from your diet to see if this helps your heart problem.
I have had metal analysis done which showed I had somewhat high levels of strontium, barium tin...
Heavy metals can also cause heart problems. Taking chlorella and drinking green tea every day or raw cilantro in salads will help to remove heavy metals.
I was tired ALL the time and just could not function nor did I care to at this point.
This also indicates low body iodine, low thyroid with possible candida issues(together with associated pathogen problems). Another reason for supplementing lugol's iodine. Iodine also kills 90% - 95% of all pathogens incuding candida. This condition could also be caused by insufficient B12 or Methylcobolamin. So Supplementing with B50 Complex might therefore help your energy too.
...checked my Free T3 and Free T4 at my urging and found I was Hypothyroid.
Get your Reverse T3(RT3) and Reverse T4(RT4) checked as well to be sure. Too high amounts of RT3 and RT4 in the blood inhibits absrption of Free T3 and Free T4 and is also a cause for low thyroid. RT3 and RT4 are produced in the liver -- so excess amounts might indicate an insufficient or stressed liver and/or adrenals. Just taking Natural thyroid wont cure your hypothyroid -- because you are just treating the end symptom. The root cause of hypothyroidism is iodine insufficiency in both the thyroid and the body.
Also upon this analysis, my calcium level was 2140 out of a range of 600-800.
Excess uncontrolled calcium in the body can also cause heart issues as well as help to encourage candida and other pathogenic issues in the body. Eliminate all dairy -- milk cheese, yoghurt etc. -- from your diet. People are infatuated with only taking high amounts calcum in their diets and have little or no idea how excess calcium can adversely affect the body. All foods are over-fortified with calcium nowadays -- not just dairy -- especially processed foods.
Because you are on a Western diet and if you start taking oral lugols iodine you may well also get what's called a Herxheimer and/or Detox reaction whose effects can be particularly unpleasant. Here is something I recently wrote concerning these problems regarding both candida and taking oral iodine:
"It has been my own experience that people will always get an initial die-off reaction when moving onto an anti-candida protocol such as this one. A die-off or a detox reaction[from taking oral lugol's iodine] is due to either large amounts of candida debris or mycotoxins and/or heavy metals or halogens being released into the blood which will cause particular stress on the immune system, liver and kidneys. So liver/kidney and immune support may be necessary to help reduce or alleviate the die-off/detox symptoms(which is included in the protocol). A reduction in anti-candida dosages may also be required for a while to make the die-off bearable for the user as well. When people are infected with systemic candida and attempt a cure ÃÂ they should always expect an initial period of time during which they may feel considerably worse due to these die-off and detox reactions. This die-off reaction is actually a good sign and proves that the protocol is working against the candida. This die-off or Herx reaction will vary from person to person and its duration will completely depend on the extent of the candida infection and will also depend on the current health state of each individual at the time. This Detox or Herx reaction is completely normal and is medically recognized and will last unitil the candida debris and poisons are reduced and removed from the body and will also depend on when the immune system once more is able to dominate and control the body's health again."
If you you decide to take lugol's iodine then it is essential that the following companion nutrients should also be taken:
04/13/2012: Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa replies: "Denise, I suppose I often sound like a broken record here on E. C. By suggesting detox, but there are so many people that seem to need it. When your dietary, nutritional, and hormonal therapies don't stabilize or otherwise return vibrant health, it signals the need for detox. Here is a list of common methods: Ionic Foot Spa, Detox Foot Pads, Master Cleanse, Oil Pulling, Cilantro/Chlorella, Red Cover Combination, Steam or Sauna (preferably far infared) sweating, Clay (oral or bath) or Charcoal (oral), MMS. Some of these do alone while others in combination (research the methods)."
04/14/2012: Merle from Couva, Trinidad replies: "Dear Denise, Like you I suffered from this condition for many years. I too had the holter moniter test as well as ECGs, and other heart tests done. All were reported normal but after using Kelp tablets for a small goiter, I noticed that my heart beat became normal again. Hope this helps. Merle"
04/19/2012: Denise from Waxahachie, Texas, Us replies: "Thanks for all your responses, which by the way, were very enlightening. I have suspected iodine deficiency only recently.
I failed to mention I have had very short bouts of dizziness that might last seconds. I also noticed that on occasion when I would "breathe in" it was a strange tingling sensation similar to whenever you feel faint if that makes sense.
When I began on the Iodoral those two symptoms went away. However, I still have some odd heart situations.
I contacted my alternative Dr. This week and he put me on Ubiquinol 3x day, Taurine 2 at 3x day and increased my Mag. To 1000mg per day (which I am already on 1200 per day now). I had already started Ubiquinol prior, and had taken Taurine in the past with no results. He has also ordered bloodwork to include an RBC Magnesium test.
I have been on Iodoral for about 3 weeks or so now and decided to start on the iodine drops. I have Nascent not Lugol's. I started taking 4 drops of iodine in water and discontinued the Iodoral tabs.
Is that the correct thing to do? Should I take more?
The more I have read on iodine, the more I believe it could be the cause of many ailments as it is in every organ of the body.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the advice and I plan to try it all, Denise"
01/02/2013: Diana Nv from Las Vegas, Nv replies: "My irregular heart beat goes away if I strictly avoid all caffeine and soy. Even oily vitamin E or CoQ10 can have soy oil. Food producers are not required to list soy oil if it is refined. Great. Almost everything has soy in it, so you have to cook all your own meals. Even 2nd hand soy in eggs from chickens fed soy can have an affect on me.
I was really bewildered with my last round of heart beat skipping, but I found the culprit. Whole Foods was adding soy flour to the macaroni and cheese and I was eating it regularly while we were moving to NV. I never thought to check the ingredients for mac and cheese.
The difficult part of diagnosing this is that the beat skipping happened sometimes 2 days after eating something with soy in it.
Chocolate contains soy lecithin, so that's no good either. :-(
Soy is a goitrogen, so maybe the iodine will help. I really would like to eat out once in awhile.
BTW, my saliva test did not show a soy allergy.
My suggestion is to try for just 4 or 5 days to avoid ALL soy. Just eat home cooked vegetables and some turkey or grass-fed beef--no supplements either. Almost all salad dressings contain soy and bread does too. Use only olive oil or real butter for those few days."
12/26/2010: Kolin from Nottingham, Notts, England: "Thanks for your reply Lilly, unfortunately no improvement. This has gone on for 3 years now, a long time without a complete nights sleep! Happy new year to all, god bless,
08/28/2009: Margaret from Chicago, Il: "57 yr old female. does anyone know where i can get more info on effects of chemo i took 20 years ago for breast cancer (methotrexate and 5fu) on cardiac arrhythmia and what i can do to help myself? i posted a few days ago regarding the fact that i felt faint and had palpitations after i began exercising more (walking) 2 mos ago. i had one 26 beat run of ventribular tachycardia at 128 bpm found on 48 hrs holter monitor, but mostly supra tachycardia (3 runs, longest at 22 beats at 172 bpm). i have added molasses, magnesium, apple cider vinegar, and excluded yogurt per info gained here. i feel better, tho am also taking 25 mg of toprol daily. have also gone in for sleep apnea test, as i was told years ago i had mild apnea. cardiac mri showed no structural damage and i passed echo stress test. cardiologist said if my heart weren't so strong, my situation would be a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being most dangerous; i'm at 6 because of strong heart. still scary."Replies
04/12/2010: Ron from Tavernier, Fl replies: "For years now I have had a racing heart. Atrial fib with a high heart rate and tried everything to cure myself. I was reading an article from a health web site that I subscribe to about dirty electricity. Electricity in the air all around us. Things such a a home wireless telephone, a tv set,a wireless cell phone. Wireless computers with wireless keyboards and wireless mouse. Then it hit me, with all this electricity in the air some of us are more sensitive to it than others. I am thinking that may be the source of my problem. My problem started about the time I got into computers and cell phones. I am on the computer many hours a day, and am constantly being exposed to this dirty electricity. Atrial fib is epidemic today and there has to be a reason for it and this may be it. Disconnect the wireless home phone, put in old fashioned land lines. Keep your cell away from you using it only when necessary and back off the computer, and get your face away from the idiot box know as a TV especially if it is satellite. Try these things and see if it helps. I think it is starting to help me but time will tell, and I think thirty days will be a minimum time to find out if it is the source of the problems. Those that have tinitis (which I have)may also be at risk and it is a proven fact that sugar goes up when exposed to this electricity. It has been called diabetes type 3."
04/12/2010: Janice from Coloma, Mi replies: "I was just looking in my Back to Eden herb book for something and happened to come across Valerian. It states that it is "an excellent nerve tonic - very quieting and soothing." and it "relieves palpitations of the heart." Thought I would pass that on."
