<description>[YEA] Tony from Sydney, Australia writes: "Hi my name is Tony and I am 22 years old. I have been suffering from things like hayfever, sinusitis and digestive problems for around 8-9 years. I cannot remember the exact date or year but have been suffering as far as I remember. But now I believe I am cured and I believe finally I have found cure for all these ailments. I will tell the exact cure later but firstly I will say but I had for treatment for last 6- 7 years and what I did to get rid of all my problems. Firstly the doctors prescribed me all those usual hayfever sprays and tablets such as Beconase and Zyertac etc. I started using these intially I got better but the things got worse by time. I will cut it short so I tried all the pills but later got rid of it, later used Neti pot also have been exercising for 4-5 years. Also have been taking vitamin C ans zinc tablet to strengthn my immmune system. All these things did work and really improved my condition but I still would suffer from allergy symtoms specially sinusitis. I would feel pain in my sinusis every single day and I would ask myself that what in the world would it take to cure this damn thing. Forgot to mention I also tried detoxing, some garlic tablets and some natural hayfever tablets and other stuff. All these things would work in the short run but I would never ever totally feel better. I would also mention I tried apple cider vinegar with cayene and honey for a past month, it helped but not as much. Even after trying all these things I was determined to cure my allergies. I would even google like cure for allergies to find any cures.

If there was one thing that I was convinced about was that my sinusitis was related to my digestive system. Then I also read on many places that allergies may be caused by not enough digestive enzymes in the digestive system. I donot know for sure If I have low digestive enzymes or what ever because there are no tests to confirm.

But 4-5 days ago accidently I discovered something. I was watching tennis at night Australian open and was eating grapes. I consumed around say like a cup of grapes and I felt so much better. I felt like the dinner I had like an hour ago digested rather quickly and I was feeling really hungry again.

I had found the misssing link for myself it were grapes I mean not just grapes but fruits. Then I just googled for benefits of grapes I was surprised to see the many benefits included asthma, heart disease, digestion etc. Since then I have been eating friuits like grapes and blueberries after every single meal I have. I start eating fruits during the breakfast and ends with dessert at night. And I have never felt better in my life. I would recommend any one with allergies hay fever or what ever problem you have to eat lots of fruits and vegetables every day and get rid of any sugar stuff you eat and see the result for your self.

I know this may seem like a long story but I just want to help everyone who is suffering like I used to, so they could get rid of all these ailments and be healthy. I wish I had done this 7-8 years ago just eat more fruits and I would not have had go through all the sufferings I did. How simple it sound eat more fruits. I would recommend every one to google benefits of grapes or benefits of blueberries or other fruits you will be amazed by the health benefits they provide. I just want to share my experiences and hope it will help others.

thanks for being patient and be healthy.

You could email me at tonywilliam_420[at]hotmail[dot]com if you want to ask any questions.

<description> Kalki from Mumbai, India writes: "Many things like lime, tomato, many food juices cause dermatitis on my fingers and palms, when I touch it while preparing food for cooking. However, I never thought till now that I could be allergic to ingesting these.

I noticed recently that VCO or ordinary coconut oil, increases the itching and consequent hives, on parts of my skin affected earlier especially face, particularly if I perspire. I had tried it for extremely dry skin following a flare up. Then it struck me that I had shifted to a coconut based food - oil and otherwise, when my allergies first started in my early twenties. (It went the whole route from sneezing, to colds and coughs, bronchitis, episodic asthma, then now constant asthma along with many skin problems. The last has been with me for decades. Except medication for asthma which I cannot avoid, I am managing with life style changes and natural choices and a lot of experimentation! )

The question in short is: Can my skin be allergic to something but my body accept it as a food? Or vice versa, can a food not be tolerated but work applied topically?

Also, coconut is one of the best oils/foods in the world, for a number of reasons. I've never heard of anyone having an allergy to coconut. It's native to me. We switched in between to other oils for many years as my father had a heart condition and was advised against it. Can a person like me who grew up on internal and external use of coconut be allergic to it? Could it have triggered my allergies leading to asthma?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

<description>[YEA] Unapiccolina from Irvine, Ca writes: "I have had horrible allergies for 20 years and have taken just about everything. At the health food store I came across Quercetin &amp; Bromelain. The Quercetin helps with histamine production. The Bromelain (comes from pineapple) helps with sinus swelling. If you are allergic to pineapple you shouldn't take this. Also Vitamin C helps the immune system.

I just wish someone had shared this with me 20 years ago. It took about a week to work for me, but I now wake up every morning without headaches, grogginess, stuffy nose, or puffy eyes. This is what I have been taking and it has been life changing!

Quercetin - 500 mg or more

Bromelain - 250 mg or more

Vitamin C - 1,000 mg

In researching Quercetin, I also found that it's naturally occuring in foods like black/green tea, red onion, apples, red grapes, tomato, cranberries, spinach, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, blueberries and pears. I have also been eating more of these items as well.

Hope this helps,

Does anyone know how to stop this swelling or why this is happening? This had not happened before with dogs. This once happened a few years ago when a plant bloomed near his window of his bedroom.

I would hate to have to give our dogs away or make their yard way in the back of our property as we really love these dogs.

Any advice would be appreciated!

<description> Sb21 from San Antonio, Tx writes: "I was having a seasonal allergy to our local Texas Mountain Cedar. Some call it Mountain Cedar Fever. I already take apple cider vinegar (ACV), coconut oil, and acidophilus (probiotics) daily. When the Mountain Cedar allergies hit, I started taking locally grown honey.

I decided to got to my local health food store and I picked up a homeopathic remedy. There were a couple to choose from, but I picked the most popular one that happened to be on sale called Allergena. It may not matter which one you get, though. I got relief within 15 minutes. It says to take 12 drops 3X a day for adults. I took the 2nd dose and I feel 90-95% better already even with the pollen count being ridiculously high. I will probably be at 100% within the next day or 2 at the most. I guess I will stop then. Usually Mountain Cedar only lasts a month anyway, but you really don't want to have it at all.

<description> Sylviag from Vista, Ca/usa writes: "Hello all and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I have been faithfully reading and working at my problems but not posting due to time constraints--until today! Situation is MUCH calmer--rash on face- to be specific and have slacked off of all of the previously mentioned remedies and products as I have been getting an uncomfortable ache in my upper left abdomen that is troublesome and also some bloody stool. Thought cutting back for a few days to a week might help.

Anyway- a friend recommended a local chiropractor who is working in the allergy area--free consultation and testing on a "BAX 3000-Laser Allergy System" (700 allergens with the potential to test over 6000) showed many problems-and to name a few- corn silk, pepsinogen, coniferal (or coniferyl) alcohol, butylated hydroxyanisole and sodium chloride mix. It is a very expensive treatment program (based on the NAET type), is totally digitized and works with lasers to correct your bodies response to these stressors. Says they could treat me with 20 visits and correct this chronic condition of inflammation where my body sees these and apparently many other substances and reacts negatively.

Does anyone know about this program and or the afore mentioned "things" that I reacted to and where/how these are in foods, airborne, beauty products -etc. Thanks!

<description>[YEA] Carolyn from Milford, Ct writes: "Ted's Remedy for seasonal/food allergies and asthma absolutely worked for my ten year-old son!

At five years old, he began to get seasonal allergies in the spring. Next came a few food allergies. Each year, the hayfever became progressively worse until, two years ago, it turned into full blown asthma. Worse still, he became alergic to wheat (but NOT the gluten... the wheat itself), all corn and corn by-products, mushrooms, shellfish (not the iodine, but the shellfish itself), all nuts and seeds and their respective oils, and on and on.

In desperation, I tried Ted's remedy for seasonal allergies, as I did NOT want my son to stay on all those steroids each spring. I noticed that Ted kept talking about excess copper and the need for zinc. So, I looked down the long list of my son's food allergies and compared it to a list of taboo foods for people with Wilson's Disease, a disorder that prevents affected people from processing copper at all. Lo and behold... My son's food allergies had one thing in common; they were all foods loaded with copper. So, I began Ted's remedy and, I swear, within three days my son woke up in the morning and didn't wheeze or need a single pill or inhaler ever again. Interesting to note, however, as soon as I thought it was "safe" to take him off the remedy, all his symptoms came back the next day. Thus, I continue to give him the suppliments and he is doing amazingly well. Oh, and his food allergies after 12 months....gone!!!!!

Here is the protocol that I continue to follow:

I mix into a glass of juice EVERY MORNING: 1,000 mg powdered Sodium Ascorbate, 3 drops liquid vitamin D3 (1,000mg), 2 drops liquid molybdenum (50 mcg). He can't taste a bit of it in the juice, so there are no complaints.

With breakfast, he takes 25mg zinc gluconate every day.

TWICE A WEEK he takes 100mcg selenium (L-selenomethionine) with the zinc in the morning. I give it on Saturdays and and Wednesdays, because its easy for me to remember.

After school, when his stomach is empty, I give him 10 mg manganese gluconate with a bottled water, because Ted says this should be taken alone.

Three times a week, at dinner, I give him a "raw" B-complex, as several of the B-vitamins are aparently needed to aid the other supplements. Plus, I mix an additional 1, 000 mg of powdered sodium ascorbate into whatever he is drinking at dinnertime.

My son's pediatrician, who is open to alternative treatments, was so shocked at the allergy blood results, not to mention the vanishing asthma, that he wrote all of this down to try on other young patients!

<description> Sheila from Cork, Ireland writes: "I have used nettles as an allergy cure for many years.

In "The Healing Power Of Rainforest Herbs" By Leslie Taylor ( the book is online ) nettles are the number one cure for allergies.

Fresh is best. I put mine in salt water for a minute to kill any insects. They can be used as a salad vegetable, added to soup or made into a tea.

For emergencies I keep dried nettle leaves in store. These can be purchased cheaply at most health food stores.

I searched online for the list of vitamins and minerals and came across Dr. Christopher's Herbal Legacy: www.herballegacy.com

He lists nettles as containing:

Vitamins A C D E F K P B complexes, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B6, selenium, zinc, iron, magnesium, boron, sodium, iodine, chromium, copper and sulfur.

Good Luck and God Bless You

<description> Gretchen from Fargo, Nd, Usa writes: "I am in a quandry. For 1 month I have suffered from a tight chest and intermittent cough--it was better following a good rain, but then returned. We have had a beautiful Indian Summer, but late harvest and hot, windy weather seems to be my downfall this year.

The chest tightness is felt under my collarbone, throughout my windpipe and in my upper back. My cough is deep and "tracheal" sounding--and not very productive. When something is coughed up, it is gray, opaque.

2 weeks ago, I was tested for asthma at an Allergy and Asthma clinic (gold standard tests), and it was clear to the dr that I did NOT have asthma--relieved, yes!! But now my symptoms have returned, after taking about a week-long hiatus.

I have seen a bit of an upswing in my upper resp allergies (runny nose, red eyes, post nasal drainage). I have been taking guaifenesin in case it is chest congestion, and the allergist prescribed me Nasonex and a prednisone burst to try get rid of the inflammation. The most relief I feel is after I take a nebulized ipratroprium bromide to reduce the inflammation. Also makes me super shaky...

I feel like I'm the only one dealing with something this wacky, and it's been disconcerting.

Has anyone dealt with this, and was there ever any conclusive diagnosis or treatment that was helpful for you?

Thanks &amp; best.

<title>HYDROGEN PEROXIDE INHALATION FOR HAY FEVER</title>

<description>[YEA] Lilydy from Alice Springs, Australia writes: "I did not find much remedies here for hay fever. I was suffering from hay fever badly this year from bush fire, climate changing to spring and a lot of people around me getting viral and bacterial infection. With the hay fever I started sneezing every so often that my lower back pain was triggered by it, my nose, eyes and throat itch and my nose got so sore from constantly blowing my nose from all the sneezes I tried antihistamine but it only made me very sluggish so I only took it once and stopped. I decided to try one of those supermarket's herbal supplement for hay fever and still no relief. The last stroke was I started coughing and I didn't lke the sound of that as my workmate just got worse from flu infections. I was constantly gargling with ACV before drinking it and it soothes my itchy throat and gargling with Hydrogen peroxide also helps get out the phlegm.

Anyway as a last resort and fear of the cough worsening I decided to give the hydrogen peroxide inhalation a try. I have previously tried it but can't seem to work it out properly without wanting to gag. Anyway as soon as I spray it directly into my throat, within minutes I stopped coughing. It was after an hour or so that I realized it also took care of my hay fever symptoms. My nose and eyes stop itching and I stop sneezing which was a huge relief. I immediately felt much better and not sluggish. God is good.. All of nature's problem can be remedied by natural healing provided for free.. Or at least cheaply by our heavenly Father. It is good to do the inhalation every hour or so initially and then I only do it now as needed specially when the air is getting smoky around here from all the bush fire.

<description> Ravyn_wolf from Calgary, Alberta Canada writes: "Having just found out I am allergic to cats, dogs, mold and dust, I am on antihistamines and eye drops, which are not working, and the allergist wants to start me on serum, which I don't really want to do and can't afford. My symptoms aren't typical of allergies, I have no nasal issues, and no congestion, only a more topical reaction around my eyes, swollen skin, dry, flaky, red, irritated and very itchy, I will add this is only on the skin, my eyeballs themselves have no issues, so I am thinking of starting to take ACV orally but am wondering if you have any suggestions for a topical ointment? I have tried various creams (unfraganced) and steroid with nothing working, any help anyone can offer would be great.

Unfortunately, my exposure to dogs and cats cannot be limited as I live with both and work in a vet clinic, and I'm looking into molds and dust in my home. Thanks!

I've read the site and I'm really hoping this works. I'm nervous in case of gagging and the worsening of the symptoms but the doctors remedies only served to destroy the lining of my nose more. I did this for the whole season. After a few days my nose and sinus dried up. I had to use honey to stop the throat itch. Success after the season of drinking the ACV I no longer suffer with hay fever and the best part I have not had any asthma either. This was 3 years ago. <description>[WORKED TEMPORARILY] Stacieann from Springfield, Tennessee Usa writes: "Hi!!! I suffer from very bad allergies and bronchitis and asthma. I have tried every antibiotic and over the counters meds and none worked. Just eased the symptoms for a bit. I tried Braggs ACV for the first time last Thursday. I filled a shot glass and downed it. About a hour later I felt great!!! My sinus pressure eased up a lot and they started to drain. My chest wasnt nearly as weezy and I felt full of energy. I did three shots a day and felt wonderful. My allergies never went away but there was a huge improvement. One that I could live with.

After the third day I started getting really bad gas pressure ending in terrible belches and resulting in upset stomach so I diluted the ACV by pouring the shot in a 20 oz bottle of water three times a day. That didnt help so I did it twice a day. Then my sinus problems started coming back. I havent taken any in a couple of days and my allergies are back full force. Please can you offer any suggestions?

I had asthma (cleared this at age 32), alopecia, (hair never grew back) and now have some angry adrenal glands and hypothryoidism (hashi's, but I believe it blew out my thyroid finally and now its always low, or so I think, I need to get some labs checked.)

I am currently only taking Naturethyroid, and cortef (about 30mg per day) which is what my body would make on its own if it could.

Years ago, I changed my diet to predominant whole foods, went vegetarian except for fish. I felt better, but still something was wrong. I recently only discovered that it was food allergies. Milk, gluten, LOTS of veggies, and eggs all wipe me out.

When eliminating all of those, I feel well, but my huge concern now is that I am losing too much weight. I actually (and sadly in my opionion, as I have read the China Study and deeply resonate with the information, as do I gain much insight from Paul Pitchford's Healing with Whole Foods) have gone on to eat few meats, for the protein content, as I can NO longer tolerate the Harmonized Protein Powder I was taking (made from Happy Cows in New Zealand I believe).

Dairy truly does me in right now. I get hives all over my face and eyelids, can't concentrate, and have no energy. I break out in the itchy plaque like things on my forehead if I eat a simple spice that I am allergic to. Obviously, avoid what I know, and I am, but my goodness it has become nearly all things I eat. I live with this itchy forehead the majority of the time. But worse for me, as I work from home and its on a computer all day, is when I am in a reaction, I then also have a cerebral reaction, where it becomes hard to focus, type correctly ect.

I really would like to NOT eat meat. I have started working with a aryuveda practitioner and started taking VERY good probiotics. I have spent more money than I care to mention on doing things like NAET, (which I do believe in but have not found right practitioner yet, and will probably treat myself as it is EXPENSIVE over the long run for those who have many allergies), supplements, and energy treatments. I do self acupressure, as I have studied it, and energy medicine on myself. I am also currently looking into detoxing for heavy metals.

I feel like right now my body doesnt want to absorb the nutrients. Its so weird to me, because years ago, when I ate all kinds of crap, it seemed to absorb well then. Or maybe my body is just going thru the healing process and this all has to come out and be experienced. I don't know. What I do know is that I need to maintain a decent weight, be able to focus clearly and have good energy. I am very concerned. I dont feel that I tolerate most fat, like flaxseed or olive right now, but do use coconut oil. I even have a great juicer, but sadly I am allergic to carrots and most veggies and react to it right now.

Any insight would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Maybe I need to give the probiotics more time to work. But honestly, I am feeling like I react to everything right now.

I did try a liver flush a few months ago without much result. My aryuvedic doc wants me to avoid it right now as she feels my liver is too hot.

Thanks again!

<description> Shota from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada writes: "I have an 11 year with allergies with symptoms that can go from not too bad to very uncomfortable. Most of the time she has a plugged nose, usually one side plugged the other not, and the occasional red eyes, with some sneezing.

This last week she has both sinuses plugged/running which in turn is causing post nasal drip with that really annoying clearing your throat cough that she is doing all day, red/itchy eyes, chest congestion. She basically looks like crap and no doubt feels like it.

I have tried, I think, almost every homeo/herbal remedy under the sun with little to no effect. Don't even get me started on the side effects OTC's have caused. I have used the ACV when we start getting a sore throat, gargle when the throat acts up and the problem literally goes away after treating 2 times. When this child gets a scratchy throat she herself will ask for the ACV. The taste is revolting, but she says she doesn't care it works. We dilute it of course.

I would like to see if the ACV works for her allergies at all, as so many here have attested to. Like I mentioned, she is only 11, so can anyone suggest how much I should be giving her/how many times per day/how long. Seeing as her allergies are chronic and not seasonal can ACV be given all the time? School will be starting soon, so there is no way that she would take a bottle of water with her to drink thruout the day... School doesn't even allow the kids to have a bottle of water with them in class. It would have to be a dose taken once in the morning and once after school and maybe again at bed time if need be.

Thanx for any suggestions.

<description>[YEA] Dan from Myrtle Beach, Sc, Usa writes: "Here's a little update at just over a year... Throughout my entire life I have always had a miserable time with colds and allergies every single year. This past year, since I've learned about ACV, has easily been the best year of my life. I'd even go so far as to call it almost perfect. Allergies were a breeze. I don't think I noticed any at all, including my allergies to dogs and many other animals, dust, ragweed and a few other pollens.

4 random times over the past year, I had the very familiar feeling of my very typical post-nasal drip creeping in. I get those often, always starting with a nasty sore throat which ALWAYS meant I was about to be sick for a long time. Almost every time, this meant antibiotics, and maybe more than one kind. For the first year in as long as I can remember, I haven't taken a single antibiotic NOR a single decongestant. I never came close to needing them. I was always in danger of getting left back for attendance, and it has always been my Achilles' heal at work. This is huge for me.

The few times that sore throat DID come around this past year, were during times when I had run out of ACV or hadn't been keeping up with it. Then I would try the new ACV remedy I'd learned about off this site: 1/2 cup water &amp; a single teaspoon of ACV. Gargle it 3 times every hour until the sore throat feels better. Each time I had the sore throat, I would do this remedy early on, and within 3 hours, or 9 mouthfuls, my sore throat was gone! Completely. A little Advil didn't hurt either, just to make those few hours passed comfortably.

That was it. They never became colds. They never lasted more than a few hours. I only took one sick call the entire year, and that was just because I was feeling lazy. My allergies were nothing. I didn't have my usual fall coughing marathons at night, nor my springtime scratchy throat. People I worked with and live with were sick all around me, and while I was always nervous of catching their germs, I never really did. The winter before I'd found out about ACV, I was miserably sick for more than 3 months straight.

Of course, anybody who has grown to swear by ACV knows how difficult it is to convince others to try or to continue with the ACV. The taste is tough to deal with, and it is so frustrating when you know it would help someone you love, but they will not so much as sniff it more than once. But as I've come to learn in life... You can only really fix yourself, and try to be a good example.

Does it work for the Cholesterol that I originally started taking it for? I'm not convinced. I'm due for a retest, but I don't expect anything there. But thanks to the amazing boost its given my immune system- This is way better than any vitamin or supplement I've ever taken!

I usually take 2 tablespoons of Bragg ACV in a shot glass topped off with water or apple juice, and then chase it with more water or juice (the colder the better). I usually take it for 2 weeks, and then skip it for 5 days or so. I've read several books on ACV over the past year, and it does a lot of good for your body. I'm sold!

<description> Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France writes: "I am taking Evening Primrose Oil at the moment in the hope that it will help with my dry eyes and allergies. The capsules I bought recently don't come with Vitamin E and I worry because in one of my books they state that it should always be taken together or else the EPO oxydizes in the body. Is this correct? Should I indeed get some Vitamin E?

<description> Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France writes: "I often sneeze a lot in the morning when I wake up and my nose runs terribly. I always thought that this was part of my allergies although I never found out anything I am really allergic to other than wine which I rarely drink anyway. A few days ago someone told me that the morning sneezing has more to do with the liver than with allergies. Any ideas on that? Maybe I have been looking in the wrong place all the time and therefore I never managed to get rid of this! I do sneeze at other times too and sometimes my eyes and throat itch!

<description> Sunny from Havasu, Az, Usa writes: "I have recently been having an allergic reaction where my tongue and glands under my tongue and jawline swells. The first few times it happened was after I had drank some red wine with dinner- and I thought that possibly I had developed an allergy to wine. But then it happen one night when I had not had any wine- so I am not sure what is causing it. I have tried keeping a food/drink diary, but so far I have not seen any pattern.

I just found your site and read about the ACV and water for allergic reactions - I have been taking the ACV and water drink for a few years for gerd as needed but am thinking I will try it if I have another problem. I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have- by the way - I love this site! Thank You!
