Allergy and Hay Fever Remedies

Ah yes, allergies... Thanks to the constantly degrading condition of the environment, more and more people are getting chronic allergies. The good news: there are many home remedy cures for chronic allergies! The bad news: they don't all taste yummy.

But first... Earth Clinic's observations: If you are prone to getting allergies, be careful of over-the-counter and prescription medications. This list can include pain relievers with Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen and allergy medications. We have discovered that these sinus medications can stress the liver unduly, creating more mucus in the body as the liver fights to detox from the medications. Instead of helping with sinus conditions, these sinus prescriptions actually exacerbate them!

One sign of a stressed immune system is that your mucus may thicken, becoming more yellow in color. A test you can do to monitor whether your body is having a hard time processing an allergy medication or pain reliever is to note the color of your mucus before you take the medication and then after. (Note: you can only do this if you aren't already on a pain reliever or allergy medication.) If your mucus is clear, you have allergies. (Note: clear mucus can also be indicative of a virus.) If, within 12 hours of taking a medication you notice that your mucus is getting thicker, then your body is having a difficult time processing the medication you just took. Moreover, if you are prone to getting sinus infections, be forewarned this is an early warning signal of an impending sinus infection. The time frame from allergy to sinus infection is a very quick one, so you must take action quickly.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: RECIPES AND DOSAGE

"Apple Cider Vinegar is hands down our favorite remedy for stopping most allergies like pollen, dander, dust, animals food, etc. We aren't kidding! We wish more people knew about this amazing home remedy for allergies.

We have found that when apple cider vinegar is taken either as a daily tonic or at the first sign of an allergy (i.e., sinus headache, stuffy nose, watery eyes), one can completely stop the histamine response or allergic reaction.

There are a couple ways you can drink apple cider vinegar. One way is to put 1/8th cup ACV in 16 oz of water and sip it throughout the day. The other method is to gulp the mixture at once. Depends on your preference, really. Sometimes you just have to take this dosage once to stop the allergy and sometimes you need to take it up to three times a day. If taken at the onset of symptoms, allergies will usually disappear between 1 -3 hours after taking the first dose of Apple Cider Vinegar. If you've been experiencing allergies for a day or more, your symptoms will disappear after about 24 hours. If they don't, make sure you continue to take water/vinegar mixture for several days! The great thing about apple cider vinegar is that it appears to repair the immune system over time. So while you may take it every day for a month or two to begin with, you can taper off it and then only take as needed.

Is there any harm in doing this? Or is there any harm in dilluting it in less water so you can get it down in just a couple of gulps? I have had seasonal allergies for 13 years and the OTC meds are no longer working so I am giving this a try. I also use a netti pot, which helps but does not resolve all the allergy symptoms."

TED'S REMEDIES

08/13/2006: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "In response to a private email:

You are NOT going to find answers by going from one diet to another. Most fad diets don't work, and besides your body is not functioning properly anyway.

You are going to have a reaction until you found out you can eat no more than three different foods that you don't have a reaction. This is what I have found in one parents trying to treatment with one child. I resolved this problem simply by doing the following:

Just eat the foods as you always do, but stay away from foods that is obviously bad for you such as sugar, fructose, glucose, fried foods, monosodium glutamate, fast food, restaurant foods, microwave cooked foods, gluten, white bread, white flour, milk, bakery, pastries, aspartame, and preserved meats for example.

Eat variety and eat more vegetables and sometimes fruits are o.k. Eating seeds are important, especially for your case is pumpkin seeds, apricot seeds, whole apples, etc.

The most important point is keep your diet simple, while focusing on higher fiber and nutrient rich foods.

You are going to have a reaction regardless of what foods you are eating anyway. This comes to the second issue: you need to take the supplements immediately without having to wait for proper diets, since your diets is going to be simple anyway, you can now concentrate on the supplements.

The key biochemistry issue in your body that is messed up pretty badly is your body's immune system is out of order due to invading fungus and other pathogens. As a result the body is going to produce excess histamine regardless.

This comes to what supplements should you take? Without the thousands of dollars of blood tests, and other unnecessary diagnosis, most experienced and honest practitioners (very few today) will know right of the bat that your body is deficient in zinc, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin B deficient. On the other hand your body has excess copper. So the following supplements is going to help you:

1. Vitamin B complex, B1, B2, B3, ... B6 at 100 mg. each per day. While B12 is taken at 100 mcg per day.

2. Zinc supplements, in form of zinc acetate (or zinc gluconate) at 50 mg. per day. Taken only for one week. Then stop then continue again. For about 1-2 months. From then on, you decided how much dose and interval dose is needed for maintenance. My maintenance dose is only 50 mg. every 2-3 weeks, once the body has sufficient manganese levels.

3. Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate please!) at 2000 mg - 3000 mg. per day. You may give yourself 500 mg. at 4 times, or perhaps 6 times per day to get it up to 3000 mg/day.

4. Selenium (selenium methionine) 200 mcg.

5. Molybdenum (sodium molybdate) 50 mg.

6. Manganese. Based on my own experiments so far, Manganese sulfate is the preferred form, at 10 mg./day -20 mg./day. Taken only for one week. Manganese is best absorbed ONLY ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. Most supplements tend to block absorption, so we keep this simple. Some say certain supplements are synergistic, yes, but not when you are consuming them at the same time! Take it after several hours that you take vitamin C.

7. Magnesium. Never forget magnesium! They play an important role in your recovery. Just take 250 mg of Magnesium chloride or magnesium citrate or magnesium ascorbate.

Taking lots of zinc will reduce the copper and at the same time improve the zinc to copper ratio in your body.

Before bed time, take 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, pls 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid in one half glass of water. The optimum dose, I have calculated for most people (if they are sick, but not very sick) is to be taken twice a day on an empty stomach. One before bed time and one in the morning.

If you are following my directions, you should get better the next day without any major food reactions. It is IMPORTANT that you drink, mineral water. Never drink distilled water as it is deficient in buffers and will cause your body's pH to be unstable.

Continue to take vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) for the next 2-3 months along with zinc (intermitently), manganese (intermitently) and both your sinus and your gray hair should go away, especially on the third month. It really helps that you buy a good fulvic acid to help balance all those messed up mineral imbalance if possible. However, if you can find a sodium thiosulfate somewhere, just add a couple of drops to your drinking water. It will detox whatever poisons you have in your body. We keep it simple and stupid first, otherwise you are going to make your life unusually complicated for yourself. Just remember the baking soda and citric acid, you can add a little more citric acid, if you wish (for taste reasons) however, whatever you do with this the resultant chemical, sodium citrate is anti-inflammatory, as well as a good detoxifier for your body anyway.

You should be almost completely normal (sinus is going to take about 3 months), on the second week, but you should feel better the very next day, you will feel better when you wake up.

If you are in a hurry to relieve your sinus, just buy Sinusbuster, which is really a pepper solution to kill the fungus. By the way, your litmus paper is almost useless. You need a pH meter since it is often not that accurate. Take note that if you are "knocked out" or sleep much more then usual, take this to mean that your body is trying to recover."

06/16/2009: Tia from Detroit,MI replies: "I realize this post is a few years old, but I am reading conflicting reports of to drink or not drink distilled water. Here, Ted says not to. Other posts say it's the cleanest bottled water to drink, so I am wondering is there something you can add to the distilled water to make it more beneficial? Or should we really just avoid distilled water?"
06/17/2009: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Tia:

In regards to distilled water, If I do use it, I will always reconstituted them by adding sea salt. The typical addition of a sea salt is 1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt. The problem about normal tap water is the chlorine and fluorine. Most are eliminated with the reverse osmosis water without having to use the distilled water. A distilled water is contraindicated with metabolic acidosis, magnesium deficiency and allergy issues, such as a runny nose. That's because whenever the body's electrolyte run low, the body tries to maintain balance by sweating more, or getting more runny nose on even the slightest irritation. This is why a sea salt solution put into a nose will usually worsen the condition, but has the exact opposite in stopping a runny nose within five minutes with a standard dose of 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in a cup of warm water. A distilled water is acid as it does not have enough buffer. Try a simple experiment, leave distilled water in open air for an hour. The pH will quickly drop to less than 7, even though normal pH for water is 7. It lacks bicarbonates and is also contraindicated for people with hair loss issues. If the person wants to detox, the best way is not the distilled water, but perhaps a reconstituted reverse osmosis water with the added sea salt, or perhaps a sea salt added to the mineral water. Haven't anyone ever wondered why doctors always give people a saline water for nearly all conditions? The saline water detoxes the body of toxins in the simplest way possible. Originally this practice was used in homeopathy before its success caused the conventional medicine to accept the use of IV saline solution. In research studies they found that whether you take Saline IV or even oral sea salt solution, the positive effects are almost exactly the same. The major difference is the cost and the dangers of setpticemia that tends to occur in the course of any I.V. Hence babies generally have allergies simply because their diets are virtually zero of any natural sea salt added to their diets, plus homogenized and pasteurized milk is what I considered to be "dead milk" because all the active biological components in the milk gets denatured or destroyed and babies have little chance of really being getting full nutrition of a milk. Hence, a sea salt adeded woul restore many of the associated skin problem. I am doubtful any wise parents will feed a child of distilled waters to babies in any milk formula. Where's the mineral, and the pH buffers that stabilizes a drinking water when you prepare a milk formula? It's likely from this reasoning that sea salt is not likely to be in a diet of a baby and hence their allergies. I even got urinary tract infection from drinking the "recommended water dose" until I fond out I was actually seriously depleting my body of electrolytes. When the body's salinity is reduced bacteria tends to infect the bladder, and hence, adding sea salt almost instanteously stopped my urinaty tract infection as well. I seriously doubt that a distilled water would cure my urinary tract infection, at the same time no doctors in their right mind will put a distilled water intravenously either. Since taken anything internally is the similar in effect as intravenous IV, its likely that a water with some sea salt makes a lot more sense, whether we drink distilled water, or even some mineral water. Most of our sickness is not the salt, it comes from the common table salt, which it's is virtually depleted of minerals as well as aluminum silicate added, and its pH is an unnatural 5, instead of the sea salt's average pH of 7- 7.5. I therefore doubt any use of distilled water given that reason. At the very least I would consider a baby drinking distilled water unhealthy and deadly if I give anyone an intravenous distilled water instead of saline water.

11/11/2009: Sri from NYC, NY replies: "Ted may want to correct the amount of molybdenum in the above suggestion. 50Mg/day is a lot of it. Also sodium molybdate appears to be a volatile compound. Thankfully, it is not available for consumption."
01/25/2011: Enjoi from Los Angeles, Ca replies: "Ted please help. I have had a severe allergic reaction to something and I'm not sure how to treat it and don't have insurance. I wish there was a way I could email you a picture of my face. My eyes a swollen practically shut and there are these tiny bumps all over my lids and now all over my face. This has only happened one time before and the only commonality is that I had corn puff products the night before in both cases. I don't know however if it is the corn puff or a new product I am using on my face that is the culprit. I assumed the first time this happened that it was the corn puff product that was the problem because it was a brand I had never eated before. This time I had cheetos puffs that I have eaten all my life (seldomly).

Now I'm trying to deal with the aftermath and don't know how to treat this. I thought maybe it was blepharitis, but I'm leaning now towards an allergic reaction because the bumps are all over my face and not just my lids. Can you please advise. I tried hot water on a washcloth and elevating my head, but this is so bad I can't leave the house. Thank you in advance."

04/20/2011: Marjorie from Singapore replies: "Hi Ted,

Thanks for your invaluable advice on so many areas of health. I hope you can help me with regards to my 16 month old son, Sam, who has numerous food allergies - tuna, beans, chicken, dairy (cow, goat), several fishes, oats, almonds, sesame etc etc... I do not think he is digesting his food well as he is way below average in terms of weight and height. He does not enjoy eating nor sleeping. Recently, his saliva is really smelly which makes me wonder whether he has some gut problems. Doubt it's teething as he's got all his teeth out already. He is still fully on breastmilk which I hope improves his condition.

What would you recommend to cure his condition? and in what doses?

Thanks very much, Marjorie."

08/29/2011: Karenina from Southampton, United Kingdom replies: "Allergy and Hay Fever: Ted's Remedies and what supplements and minerals to take for treatment.

Hi, I was reading about the minerals and vitamin C I can take to relieve Sinus and hayfever and I believe reverses grey hair as well? You say to take for these over 3 months and I will feel better but would I not need to continue taking these supplements for the rest of my life to keep the severe allergies and sinus under control and to avoid grey hairs coming back?

Secondly, I have allergic asthma as well. Will this treatment you suggested help with this problem as well? If not is there anything else you can suggest which may help with the allergic asthma? Many thanks Ted."

08/29/2011: T from Houston, Usa replies: "Hi Karenina,

10/09/2011: Emma from Sydney, Nsw, Australia replies: "Ted, Sea salt does not contain the same ratios of dissolved salts as our bodies. Furthermore, by dissolving virtually unknown quantities of salts in varying quantities of water, you do not know the concentration of ions in the water. If the water contains more ions than your body's cells, you will become dehydrated - it is worse than drinking nothing at all. Our diets tend to be high in salts. Unless you are very physically active, or are suffering from conditions such as diarrhoea or vomiting, you probably are not losing too many electrolytes. If you do feel the need to replenish these electrolytes, it is best to use a product designed for the purpose, such as gastrolyte or hydralyte, or another electrolyte drink. These contain minerals and salts in similar ratios to those in our body's cells - sea salt does not. It is likely to contain higher levels of salts such as sodium chloride and not enough of others. Too much salt (specifically sodium chloride) can be harmful.

Lastly, distilled water is not acidic. The reason it becomes acidic if left in the air is because carbon dioxide dissolves in it forming carbonic acid. This makes it acidic, but by then it cannot be considered 'distilled' any more - it has been contaminated. Honestly, our bodies contain so many buffers, the pH of what you consume really is not massively important, as long as it is not hugely acidic or alkaline. The difference in something you consume having a pH of 5 or 9 is negligible. Do you not eat citrus fruits because they contain high amounts of citric acid? What about the remedy described above, Apple cider vinegar - that contains large amounts of acetic acid (why do you think it can cause minor irritation of the throat?) Distilled water will not kill you, but it probably will not help either. Mineral water is best, but use caution if you intend to dissolve sea salt in your water."

11/21/2011: Snowman from Davison, Mi, Usa replies: "Hi this fall of 2011 in Michigan I began to get a rash on my eyelids and itchy rash on my neck plus found it was hard to breathe. I thought it was a weird reaction to my ragweed allergies. Well after the first frost it went away and has returned a few weeks later. I'm now thinking it is a reaction to some type of mold or fungus outside. The doctors just gave me a steroid cream that has done nothing to help. Would the ACV help with this. I'm at my wits ends trying to get rid of this. My eyelids are beet red, very sore and itchy and now my lips are tingly like. Never had a reaction like this before. Any help out there??"
12/18/2011: Coley from Apex, N.C. replies: "Ted,

12/19/2011: Linda from Clinton, Ut replies: "Regarding distilled water: It is my understanding that you may consume it safely for a while but after months of use your body will suffer from lack of minerals in the distilled water."
01/15/2012: Penny from Wind Gap, Pa replies: "Coley, doctores will tell you anything to KEEP you from being healthy. They will help you to FEEL better, but NOT truly alleviate your issues. They cannot make money off healthy people. THINK about that, seriously. Do research on these medicines (poisons I feel) the doctors prescribe. Have you not noticed HOW MANY lawsuits are out there due to these synthetic medicines? And how many people are suffering from their side effects? The medical industry is using chemicals to alleviate our symptoms by trying to replicate the ORGANIC, ALL NATURAL products. But unfortunately by doing so, there are consequences....... side effects. We are all guinea pigs for doctors and pharmaceutical industries. Ted is trying to help us to use more natural ways that are known to help alleviate/cure the underlying issues rather than just masking them like these synthetic medicines do. I have been researching natural vs synthetics for decades so I do know a lot about this. I may not know everything, but I sure do know a lot. I am just trying to let you know, do not trust everything your doctor tells you, do your research and find out every thing possible. You will not regret it. There is another website you can check out called naturalnews that has a lot of information about anything and everything that even some top doctors recommend but don't tell you. Hope this helped."

I broke out in large boil like bumps all over my face when ever I ate any dairy products. Milk, ice cream, cheese and yogart was elimnated from mmy diet. I constantly had antibiotic prescriptions from doctors for whenever I broke out.I was looking for an allergy cure and started taking acidolphilus. It cured my food allergies and now I enjoy ice cream and milk again! It took about 30 days to completely clear my face and then I kept taking it for a year. And it's cheap! What I discovered after doing research is that when you take too many antibiotics, it kills all of your bad and GOOD BACTERIA. SO the acidolphilus restored my good bacteria to fight infections!!! HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE! Oh! I sugggested this to my young teenager daughter-in-law who had pimples and she said her face cleared up right away and now she is also using it regularly!! [WORKED TEMPORARILY]  08/30/2011: Stacieann from Springfield, Tennessee Usa writes: "Hi!!! I suffer from very bad allergies and bronchitis and asthma. I have tried every antibiotic and over the counters meds and none worked. Just eased the symptoms for a bit. I tried Braggs ACV for the first time last Thursday. I filled a shot glass and downed it. About a hour later I felt great!!! My sinus pressure eased up a lot and they started to drain. My chest wasnt nearly as weezy and I felt full of energy. I did three shots a day and felt wonderful. My allergies never went away but there was a huge improvement. One that I could live with.

After the third day I started getting really bad gas pressure ending in terrible belches and resulting in upset stomach so I diluted the ACV by pouring the shot in a 20 oz bottle of water three times a day. That didnt help so I did it twice a day. Then my sinus problems started coming back. I havent taken any in a couple of days and my allergies are back full force. Please can you offer any suggestions?"

Turmeric seems to work in the same fashoin. Read up on turmeric here at earth clinic and you can see that some people who took it got rid of there allergies. Turmeric also known as curcumin also increases glutathion in the body. Might be worth a try and you probably already have some in your pantry just waiting .

08/30/2011: Klraine from Memphis, Tn replies: "Hi,

I was wondering the same thing because I started taking it myself. I was looking through earlier posts on the subject and came across this. Perhaps this concentration would be easier to take? Just a thought!

For daily maintenance, weight loss and pH balancing, we now suggest the following:

2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar
16 ounces of water
Sip, don't chug!
We suggest 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 16 ounces of water that you'll sip throughout the day, rather than drinking the whole concoction at once 3 times a day. You will be keeping your pH in a constant, alkalized state by sipping this highly diluted dosage. Usually 1-2 tall glasses of the concoction are all you'll need each day.

If you drink a lot of water throughout the day, consider adding just a splash of apple cider vinegar to your glass/container each time you fill it up, rather than drinking the one, 16 oz glass of Apple Cider Vinegar and water mentioned above.

Hope this helps you tolerate it better!"

09/09/2011: Pamm from Birmingham, Alabama replies: "To Stacieann from Springfield,

The reason you started experiencing stomach problems, Reflux, Gerd is because of too much Stomach Acid. Apple Cider Vinegar is mostly used to replace people with Low Stomach Acid, However To Reverse The Problem You Take Baking Soda in Water. Then after your Gerd Is Better start back slowly add baking soda to your mix of Apple cider vinegar in more water. Years ago when I started this same thing happened to me, and since I have done extensive research on Low stomach acid and Gastritis (high stomach acid) So your allergies is due to the way you eat most everyone's is including mine & bad eating causes low stomach acid so that is why the ACV worked in the beginning however if taking too much you can actually get too much acid in your stomach & can cause more problems. You need to Akaline your body. I also found that taking a Digestive Enzyme before I eat helps my allergies. Look Up Hydrochloric Acid you will see Apple cider vinegar is used to raise your stomach acid. Too much and you will be miserable. ACV is a good remedy for lots of things got to take it slow and alternate days when you take it and sip it with lots of water throughout the day. Good Luck! "

08/18/2011: Shota from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada writes: "I have an 11 year with allergies with symptoms that can go from not too bad to very uncomfortable. Most of the time she has a plugged nose, usually one side plugged the other not, and the occasional red eyes, with some sneezing.

This last week she has both sinuses plugged/running which in turn is causing post nasal drip with that really annoying clearing your throat cough that she is doing all day, red/itchy eyes, chest congestion. She basically looks like crap and no doubt feels like it.

I have tried, I think, almost every homeo/herbal remedy under the sun with little to no effect. Don't even get me started on the side effects OTC's have caused. I have used the ACV when we start getting a sore throat, gargle when the throat acts up and the problem literally goes away after treating 2 times. When this child gets a scratchy throat she herself will ask for the ACV. The taste is revolting, but she says she doesn't care it works. We dilute it of course.

I would like to see if the ACV works for her allergies at all, as so many here have attested to. Like I mentioned, she is only 11, so can anyone suggest how much I should be giving her/how many times per day/how long. Seeing as her allergies are chronic and not seasonal can ACV be given all the time? School will be starting soon, so there is no way that she would take a bottle of water with her to drink thruout the day... School doesn't even allow the kids to have a bottle of water with them in class. It would have to be a dose taken once in the morning and once after school and maybe again at bed time if need be.

Thanx for any suggestions."

If you stop all foods containing gluten for even two weeks you will know after one week if gluten is a problem for you. Manufacturers put glucose in a lot of foods and often don't list if it comes from wheat or corn. I find I am very allergic to glucose from wheat. ACV does not like me either :( but may try the liver cleanse and see how that works for me. Good luck with your search."

[YEA]  08/16/2011: Dan from Myrtle Beach, Sc, Usa writes: "Here's a little update at just over a year... Throughout my entire life I have always had a miserable time with colds and allergies every single year. This past year, since I've learned about ACV, has easily been the best year of my life. I'd even go so far as to call it almost perfect. Allergies were a breeze. I don't think I noticed any at all, including my allergies to dogs and many other animals, dust, ragweed and a few other pollens.

4 random times over the past year, I had the very familiar feeling of my very typical post-nasal drip creeping in. I get those often, always starting with a nasty sore throat which ALWAYS meant I was about to be sick for a long time. Almost every time, this meant antibiotics, and maybe more than one kind. For the first year in as long as I can remember, I haven't taken a single antibiotic NOR a single decongestant. I never came close to needing them. I was always in danger of getting left back for attendance, and it has always been my Achilles' heal at work. This is huge for me.

The few times that sore throat DID come around this past year, were during times when I had run out of ACV or hadn't been keeping up with it. Then I would try the new ACV remedy I'd learned about off this site: 1/2 cup water & a single teaspoon of ACV. Gargle it 3 times every hour until the sore throat feels better. Each time I had the sore throat, I would do this remedy early on, and within 3 hours, or 9 mouthfuls, my sore throat was gone! Completely. A little Advil didn't hurt either, just to make those few hours passed comfortably.

That was it. They never became colds. They never lasted more than a few hours. I only took one sick call the entire year, and that was just because I was feeling lazy. My allergies were nothing. I didn't have my usual fall coughing marathons at night, nor my springtime scratchy throat. People I worked with and live with were sick all around me, and while I was always nervous of catching their germs, I never really did. The winter before I'd found out about ACV, I was miserably sick for more than 3 months straight.

Of course, anybody who has grown to swear by ACV knows how difficult it is to convince others to try or to continue with the ACV. The taste is tough to deal with, and it is so frustrating when you know it would help someone you love, but they will not so much as sniff it more than once. But as I've come to learn in life... You can only really fix yourself, and try to be a good example.

Does it work for the Cholesterol that I originally started taking it for? I'm not convinced. I'm due for a retest, but I don't expect anything there. But thanks to the amazing boost its given my immune system- This is way better than any vitamin or supplement I've ever taken!

I usually take 2 tablespoons of Bragg ACV in a shot glass topped off with water or apple juice, and then chase it with more water or juice (the colder the better). I usually take it for 2 weeks, and then skip it for 5 days or so. I've read several books on ACV over the past year, and it does a lot of good for your body. I'm sold!"

Even some wood floor products as well as carpet could have Formaldehyde or other chemicals "even glue" in their product YOU could be allergic to.

You would have to contact the store or the seller you purchased the product from about what their product is made of. Or be tested. The safest floor products in regard to allergies is Linoleum. (I read this) And keeping the floors clean of dust or dirt.

Eliminating pets or flooring worked for an acquaintance of mine who is way better now."

[SIDE EFFECTS]  03/23/2011: Chloe from East Greenwich, Rhode Island replies: "Hello Everyone! Just chiming in with something I've discovered. I'd always wondered why 'Apple Cider Vinegar' was not the miracle for me as it is has been for so many others.

My first clue begins with a sesame tahini sauce I like to make with apple cider vinegar, water, salt and cayenne pepper added to a big salad.

After eating this, I never connected my racing pulse to anything in particular.

Many times my cheeks would even flush! I've always used the Bragg's organic brand too.

Anyway, my intuition told me that maybe I should leave the vinegar out of my recipe next time and see what happens. Lo and behold, no racing pulse. I still did not connect this to an allergy though.

Then, today, I come across an e-book by Dr. Coca called the "The Pulse Test". In it, he explains that EVERY single time a person consumes something they are allergic to, their pulse will be higher than normal. This book was written in 1956! Why didn't I know about this method before?

Thinking back, I can clearly remember my pulse racing after certain meals... But who would have thought Apple Cider Vinegar could be one of the culprits!I do not eat dairy or wheat of any kind... but it might be time to also give up the Quinoa too, since ALL grains can expose you to cross-contamination issues.

This E-book is now considered public domain.

I have posted it online for all of you to read freely, where it describes the simple method to determine all of your food allergies once and for all and give your poor immune systems a break! :-)

I sincerely hope this helps someone out there!

Sinus problems started about 3 years ago and both of these have been getting me ill very frequently. I had taken 3 doses of antibiotics (500 mg per day / days) over the past 6 weeks as I kept having repeated flu, sore throat, allergy, sinus problem which did not seem to leave my body. To cut the story short, I ran into this website 5 days ago and started the ACV & Oil pulling (sesame oil) right away. The day I took the ACV, there were lumps of yellow stuff rolling out of my ached sinuses and jaws through my nose and mouth. The next morning I woke up with a clear nose. I have not had any allergy or sore throat for the past 5 days, which is a rarity in my adult life. I am able to breathe through my nose all the time and my voice is very clear. I have never felt so good in all these years & my constant craving for sugars is gone. I have recommended this to quite a few of my friends who are impressed with seeing a different me this week!!"

I have had an extreme case of allergies for over 5 years now that seem to occur out of the blue. I wake up to fits of sneezing, to which I have to scamper for TP at my bedside before my nose drips everywhere. My allergies are so bad the itchy head has drove me to madness with the threats of cutting off all my hair as this is just an extra nuance to my ittcy face and nose. Then I figured out that it was always when I was near my house plants, and the worst attacks would be the day after I watered them. It was the mold that was in the houseplant dirt. This might be one of your allergens. If so, and if you don't want to get rid of your plants, I've found that it helps a lot to add some tea trea oil to the plants' water before you pour it on them, and then water them as seldom as possible--only when they begin to look like they're missing water."

For the first 5 years, I just dealt with it, but as I've gotten older, it's gotten worse. I usually end up bed ridden with sinusitis, fever, terrible headaches, etc. before all is better. The last 5 years, I have taken an antibiotic virtually every time I had an outbreak (about every 2 months), and everyone knows how bad that is for our bodies. Since I found the ACV cure a year ago, I've had ONE outbreak. I cured both of my last outbreaks without antibiotics in a matter of 3 or 4 days. I now drink ACV daily. While I still occasionally have itchy eyes or headaches, I rarely feel bad at all. Additionally, I had laryngitis, and mixed cayenne pepper w/ the ACV mixture, and cured it instantly. Thank you all so much for giving my life back.

My daily dosage, 2 TSP w/ 8 oz of water several times throughout the day.

When I'm sick, 2 TBLSP w/ 8 oz of water and 1/8 TSP cayenne pepper (for sore throat) several times throughout the day."

I'd wake up sneezing, burn through toilet paper for wiping my nose. Basically, i was disgusting and I was completely bogged down for hay fever season. I started taking 3 shots of ACV a day. The first 10 days nothing and then all the sudden, on the 11th it was like a light switch. Everything stopped. I continued taking 3 shots a day for about a month and a half and am now down to 1 shot a day, which I am taking basically as a "just in case" shot. My allergies are completely eliminated. Not even a sniffle. I'm not sure how it works, but it 100% worked for me. Like a veil being lifted, a light turning on; it was a complete life change to be able to enjoy the seasons again :)"
