[YEA] 03/09/2008: Steve from Hartford, US: "Have had recurring mrsa boils on my trunk area for the last 7years (2-3 episodes per year with 2-12 boils at once). Used minocyclene the first year with some results.Through out the years I have tried almost all the home remedies with very little relief. The tumric gave short term relief. Now I think I have it pretty well under control. My success was mostly due to the info I got from this site. Here's whats working for me: Get lots of sleep and take a good sleep remedy if you have to but you must get that full night of sleep every night. The Hibiclens wash 1 to 2 times a day along' with the tee tree oil and ky lubricant mix for your nose 1-2 times per day. Some echinacia, neem and lots of good veggies, less dairy and the alkaline fixes mentioned here. And you will beat the ^%$# out the mrsa in your body."

[WARNING!] 11/13/2007: Asha from Oklahoma City, OK: "... As far as MRSA goes, I wouldn't be surprised if the boils were MRSA. I have worked in hospitals for a few years now, and the scary truth is EVERY hospital of any size has a patient with MRSA at least once a month. They expect it, and really don't do much to keep others from walking into these patients rooms without gowning-up, masks, gloves, etc. The only way I know that a patient has MRSA is if I happen to see it in their chart, or if they have parked a gown cart outside the patient's room. Bottom line: Don't go to a hospital if you don't want to be exposed to MRSA. If you have a friend or relative that works in a hospital or other health care setting, know that they are more than likely carriers of MRSA."
[WARNING!] 06/10/2007: Kelly from Virginia Beach, VA: "Please be careful at your Drs' Appointments. My child had a small scratch, went to a normal doctor's appt where he put the stethascope over the scratch. A couple of days later I noticed what looked like a pimple. I tried to squeeze it. It got bigger like a bug bite, but didn't go away. It tested positive for MRSA, the community acquired version. I had seen before that stethascopes are crawling with germs. How I wished I would have asked the doctor to use an alcohol wipe on it before examining her. Septra and Bactraban finally cleared it up. But now I have to worry about every condition being an outcome from MRSA. Once you have it, you are considered MRSA susceptible. Good luck out there, may you never get this menace!"
[WARNING!] 04/24/2007: Carolyn from Holllywood, FL: "This is what you have been saying in this forum. Hospitals try to keep the lid of secrecy on MRSA cases. Presumably, so that future patients will not be aware of the problem and will unknowingly subject themselves to surgery at this hospital. I learned that there is at least one case of MRSA at this large local hospital, but there is no mention of it in the news. The hospitals obviously fear financial losses more than the deaths of their patients. I find this disgusting, what about you? I should mention that the hospital in question is NOT located in Hollywood, Florida."
Replies[YEA] 01/31/2011: Mykl from Vancouver, Wa replies: "One of the biggest contributors to digestive problems is that most people tend to swallow their food too soon, meaning, not chewing it enough/long enough. Chew more swallow less. That said, I've been using apple cider vinegar (ACV) for quite some time now and I suffered with very bad heartburn/acid reflux for years. Then I came across ACV therapy while researching H2o2 therapy. There's another therapy that will amaze you. H2o2 and ACV therapy make a good pair to draw too.As for ACV and mixing it with something try about 6 oz of Pomegranate green tea and a table spoon of ACV. I personally use 2 about tablespoons. Mornings and late afternoons. When I first tried apple cider vinegar to combat my acid reflux (and don't let anyone tell you acid reflux is a disease, big pharma pushes this) I would take it straight. If this is new for you be ready to think you've made a mistake. Why? It will heat you up from your sinuses through your throat, esophagus into the belly. The vapors will make it feel like it's taking your breath away. Steel yourself and muscle through it, do not breath. Don't fret the heat you feel from it, it dissipates rapidly and you'll be amazed. This is my personal experience. I have had no acid reflux in 2 years. One slight case due to, guess what? "diet". I lost 25 lbs and I've kept it off for a year and a half now.
note: your liver/kidneys love apple cider vinegar. Every cell in your body loves H2o2. Research hydrogen peroxide. Food grade!"
02/04/2011: Firegirl from Austin, Tx replies: "I am interested in the ACV for weightloss for my husbsnd and I both... He also suffers from acid reflux so I am hoping it helps him too. How will the hydrogen peroxide help?"
[WARNING!] 11/23/2006: Kimberly from Sequin, TX: "I got several staph infections, but was never tested for MRSA. January of 2004, I got one on my forehead and one on the hairline near my neck. I chose to lance them at home, which was the biggest mistake I could have made. The infection on my neck got into my bloodstream, traveled into my spinal cord and festered for nearly three months. When my back pain began, doctors could find no cause for it, so they admitted me to the local hospital after three trips to the ER in agonizing pain, and treated me for five days for Kidney infection and Kidney stones. Turned out it was MRSA in my lungs, blood, spinal cord, pneumonia and bronchitis. By the time they realized this my blood pressure was dangerously low, as well as my blood oxygen level. I had about six hours to live at this point. Thankfully a rather risky back surgery saved my life, as well as 2 months of severe antibiotic treatments, where I was given Vancomyacin through a groshong catheter directly into my aorta. Lesson here, if you get more than one staph infection, get tested for MRSA. I didn't, and the result is life long pain. My son was only six months old when this happened. He is two now and I can still barely carry him for long."
Ted's Remedies
11/19/2006: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand: "MRSA outbreaks in Thailand? Possibly it comes from the pollutants and birds (excellent carriers for many diseases, bugs, etc) here in my home. However, boils outbreak I think is difficult but they tend to occur during the "vegetarian festivities" here in Thailand.
The reason why is really simple, most white flour which is used in cooking during the festivities is used in the food, so people consume more.
They are very acid forming food, next to soda pop that is banned in schools in U.S. at least, but not here. Some milk actually added fluoride, so that doesn't help either. These acid forming food, especially flour, do get easily contaminated quite easily with fungus, etc. The body's immune system simply stops for about 2 hours in presence of sugar, the fact that some cola adds phosphoric acid simply make things worse.
The outbreak, therefore is more tied to the diets which lowers your immune system, such as sugar, and white flour found in bread being the worse offender of these MRSA and an outbreak as well as weight gain often occur or coincide during and after the vegetarian festivities.
I am not a pro meat or a pro vegetarian either. What I am saying is white flour is one of the worse offenders of acid forming food (next to soda pop) and the rise in use of sugar often rises to coincide with the vegetarian festivities. I once got a terrible boils in the buttocks similar to Kathryn, but the source of it i knew to be ice cream, but chocolate or cocoa strangely enough causes pimples but not boils.
So the way to stop boils at least for me was taking plenty of zinc, chromium, vanadium and baking soda to alkalize my body. Drain whatever pus that occurs in the boils to dry them.
Being especially careful to avoid both sugar AND acid forming food is the best way to remove these antibiotic resistant out of the body. You don't have to buy an elaborate lists of kinds of acid forming list, just remember to simply stay away from sugar and flour. They are easier to remember, getting too particular can confuse you. Certain supplements, you need to be wary if you take too much as they too are acid forming, whose supplements name have the words "hydrochloride", such as pyridoxine hydrochloride, a vitamin B6. A better substitute is pyridoxal 5 phosphate.
Antibiotics no longer works with me, actually it had not work for at least 10 years now, regardless of the kinds of antibiotics I use. And this is why I have remedies to get around this issue for at least 10 years now. Ted"
Replies12/02/2008: Rich from Boca Raton, FL replies: "Niacin(B3) converts triglycerides and LDL to HDL... basically starving the staph. Higher Sodium Ascorbate content won't hurt either. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) might help as well. Ted's got the right idea.New Strategy Cracks Staph Bacterium's "Golden Armor," Making It Vulnerable To Treatment -- 15 Feb 2008
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/97423.php
"Researchers have exploited a structural vulnerability in the "superbug" Staphylococcus aureus that in laboratory experiments and a mouse study opened the bacterium to treatment with an anti-cholesterol medication. This follows the 2005 discovery that a pigment provides a "golden armor" that enables staph to evade the immune system. An article published Feb.14 in the online version of Science (Science Express) describes the study, which was conducted by researchers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the National Taiwan University in Taipei, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of California, San Diego.
After treatment with the drug - which had progressed through preclinical testing in rats and two early clinical trials in humans as a cholesterol-fighting medication - staph bacteria were about 15 times more susceptible to killing by hydrogen peroxide and were four-fold less able to survive in human blood, according to George Y. Liu, M.D., Ph.D., one of the article's co-first authors.""

01/06/2011: Tracy from Ft Pierce, Florida replies: "Trying to diagnose an ongoing problem. It started with one of my breast and what I thought was an abscess. I was told I had a clogged milk duct and needed surgery but with no money no one would do it so it finally healed but now it is returning in the other breast and I have done some research and think maybe I have MRSA but not sure because they did blood work and they told me there wasn't any bacteria. I am desperate for a way to stop this from continueing and would love a home remedy that could help. Another problem is I have no money for expensive remedies I am very poor."
04/19/2011: Marty from Mars, PA replies: "I will tell u the only way to get rid of this is to put 2 cups of bleach in a tub of water and soak in it for 15 to 20 minutes everyday for 1 week then do it once a week for six months in really bad cases u might have to do the once a week thing for the rest of your life this really works and works fast I doubted it to tried a lot of other things and finally tried this and it does the job"
12/20/2011: Elle from Cc, Florida replies: "MRSA control for a normally healthy person requires decolonization of skin and nostrils. MRSA typically hides out in the membrane inside the nostrils so you must treat all areas of the skin and both nostrils at the same time:The decolonization procedure often recommended includes both of the following measures:
Apply 2% mupirocin ointment generously throughout the inside of both nostrils with a cotton swab ( but don't overdo and dig too deep inside the nostril) twice daily for 10 days and
Bathe with liquid chlorhexidene soap, washing all skin surfaces daily for five days. Daily bathing or showering using an antibacterial agent such as chlorhexidine gluconate is recommended during mupirocin treatment to improve chances of eradication. Alternative treatment with tea tree oil body lotion and shampoo have been shown effective in achieving decolonization, and have the benefit of being less harsh on the skin. Use a pharmaceutical grade Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash."
01/16/2012: Elle from Cc, Fl replies: "In addition to the previously described strategy to decolonize the MRSA bacteria on skin and in nostrils, you should also at the same time take internally dietary supplements of probiotics containing a variety of strains of acidophilus like lactobacilus acidophilus and lactobacillus rhamosus. Make sure the brand you buy has a guarantee of true potency. This product will be in the refridgerated part of a health food store and you should keep it refridgerated at home. Also youghert with live probiotic cultures and buttermilk also have lactobacilus acidophilus. Eat plenty of these. Feed youghert, kefir, buttermilk to your kids to strengthen their immune system. Eliminate sugar, gluten, alcohol, beer, wine, as much as possible. Drink lots of water cause as the MRSA bacteria dies, you need water to flush out the dead bacteria. May God help us all to achieve good health and to praise Him."

08/14/2012: Camar from Hamburg, Pa Usa replies: "Essential Oils for MRSA--Just want to share my experience with the skin infection. I got it a month ago after travelling. First, my skin was itchy, thaen I got boils that were spreding to my but. I did not know what it was and in such cases I apply grinded garlic to the area. This time garlic was helping with iching, but the infection was not healing.Eucalyptus oil
>I started using Eucalyptus oil twice a day and saw the difference in about 2 days. Most of the boils disapeared. I kept applying the oil until I could not see the pimples (about 3 more days). Then I made the following mixture and applied it ti the area once or twice a day just to make sure the problem does not come back: 1/2 tsp of basic oil (olive or avocado for example) 5 drops of high quality Tea Tree oil 1 to 2 drops of Eucalyptus oil.It is important to purchase high quality oils. I got mine from Switerland as I was staying abroad at that time. Swiss oils are the best oils in my experiance. In the USA there is a distributor of Swiss oils - essential oil collection.
PS when using Eucalyptus oil alone, I was not delluting it, but I know it should be dilluted as they say it can burn the skin. I used one drop on a cotton pad and then tuched up the area with it. But it would be better to dillute it a little."
11/08/2012: Paramiti from Nashville, Tennessee replies: "MRSA Tools that will KILL this Monster which Refuses to die! Twice a Day.. Once in the morning and once before bed take 1 Tablespoon ACV with the mother in some tea of choice.. Add to that 1 half squeezed fresh lemon and as much cayenne pepper as one can stand.. And here is the MOST IMPORTANT add to that 1 Tablespoon MANUKA HONEY from NZ.. It must be UMF 18 or higher... 18 is usually powerful enough.. If there are also wounds or boils.. Clean them with cotton ball soaked in AVC then apply the 18 Manuka Honey on the wound or boil.. And a bandage...I have also had Great Success applying a sulfur "Refining" mask from a well known acne treatment company in place of the manuka honey on the boil or wound.. Or crushed garlic can be used.. If your doctor will prescribe for you the Mupirocin Ointment USP 2% this is also speeds the process.. Use it on a q tip and put it inside the nose.. Be careful not to inhale it into your lungs as this can cause complications... I Promise this will Kill the MRSA but if not careful you can get it again.. Be careful by Not eating sugar or white flour.. MRSA feeds off sugar and white flour.. It loves these products and gains strength from them.. We are exposed to MRSA all the time and especially in hospitals..
Its so easy to become infected with MRSA the main things to focus on are... Manuka Honey 18 or Higher and Sulphur to kill the beast.. And AVC with the mother for the PH issues... So the body is able to fight it... Take the tea mixture twice a day until well.. If the nose begins to bleed from being dried out... Discontinue the manuka honey for a few days.. But continue drinking everything else until the moisture returns then add the manuka honey back in... Drink plenty of fluids through out the treatment.. THIS WORKS!!"

[YEA] 02/12/2013: Jen from Portland, Or: "I've been suffering with several staph infections on my scalp for about a year and half. Took antiobiotic after antiobiotic, and saw three dermatologists. Even ended up in the emergency room because I couldn't take the pain anymore.
If you can't stand taking a teaspoon of Turmeric three times a day mixed in water, try making a paste with honey. Better tasting, plus the honey seems to also help. I noticed immediate relief after only one day on this. Wish I would have know about this earlier."
[YEA] 06/30/2012: Aisha from Vancouver, Canada: "I had mrsa breakout near pubic region. It was painful and I had been on antibiotics before. Antibiotics did treat the outbreak; however, I had stomach problems, rashes (not painful), and sunburn. After a year, I had another episode, and I didn't have healthcare/insurance to see the doctor again, and didn't have the guts to take antibiotics with all its side-effects. I looked up on google about natural remedies, and read about turmeric, garlic, manuka, and ACV on Earthclinic.
In the beginning, I would take turmeric 3 times a day, 1 tsp with milk, and put the garlic clove on the wound. It seemed like turmeric reduced the inflamation as well as the speed of occurence, however, it was not gone completely, there were still some. Garlic just felt too harsh/stinging on my skin.
As I was determined to treat this problem, I decided to increase my dosage of turmeric. I treated it like an antibiotic. Took 4 times a day --1tsp of turmeric with 1 tsp of ACV and 8oz of water to make it more drinkable. I had added turmeric to the milk before but it was slightly difficult to swallow. 10 days have passed, and by the grace of Allah/God, the infection has substantially reduced, and I am pleased to see the results. I also try to take 1tsp of Manuka honey 2X a day. I took bleach baths on regular basis.
Turmeric can also cause some stomach issues, so one has to be patient. It is difficult to take in then an antibiotic, and it takes longer time to affect than an antibiotic. However, it definitely works, and has less side effects, praise God. For those people whom 2 tsp a day of turmeric doesn't work, then they should definitely try to increase their dosage slowly.
I pray that all those who are suffering from this painful disease become healthy, and spend a productive and meaningful life. Best wishes."
Replies[YEA] 07/02/2012: Emma G. from Memphis, Tn replies: "Trust me, turmeric works on MRSA! You can drink it, but I also make a turmeric paste (directions can be found at http://phoebe1975.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-a-Turmeric-Paste) and place it directly on the infected area. The first time I used turmeric was when I had a MRSA infection on my leg. I started getting worried after nearing the end of my 2 week antibiotic treatment that the infection had still not drained (sorry, I know that is gross!! ). I searched the web, found this site and discovered the wonders of turmeric- about two hours after I drank it, the infection started to drain. That was two years ago and I am a huge fan of turmeric now (and an even bigger fan of EC)!!"
09/14/2011: Rn from Oscoda, Mi: "Being a nurse, I see firsthand the flawed medical model here in the United States. It seems the current trend is... Visit the doctor.... Get a prescription... If that doesn't work... Visit the doctor again... Get another prescription! If that fails... get a referral to a specialist....arrrgh!
We are our own best doctors and I am very grateful to people who know this and share their stories here at this wonderful website.
Ground turmeric 1 tsp twice a day worked to clear up my daughters' rash in only a weeks time! She has been suffering for 6 months from a bumpy flesh colored rash which started on her thighs and buttocks. She saw a doctor 3 times and was given several different prescriptions which didn't help, in fact the rash had spread to her abdomen, chest, arms and scalp. The intense itching was driving her crazy at night. She has tried, oral steroids, steroid creams, antibiotics and many over the counter creams. She swallowed benadryl to help with the itching. She was going to see a dermatologist for a possible biopsy when I discovered this site.
After some investigation and critical thinking, my daughter had suffered boils of her skin in the past few years. MRSA is what was diagnosed. I believe this itchy rash was a form of MRSA. In the medical field it is one of the fastest growing disorders and problems.
I am forever grateful to Earth Clinic and their very awesome homeopathic remedy of turmeric. You have renewed my faith in homeopathic medicine, thank you!!"
Replies[YEA] 06/13/2012: Robert1699 from Lincoln, Nebraska replies: "(yea) If I get stressed enough, I sometimes have a staph infection (MRSA??) that breaks out on my thighs. I have found that turmeric tea and turmeric paste really helped to clear everything up in about 5 days for me. I make a tea by making a turmeric paste. First I heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper in the microwave. Then stir in enough turmeric to make a paste. Let set, covered, for about an hour. Then to make the tea I use one teaspoon of paste in a 1/4 cup of hot Acai green tea, stir in the teaspoon into the turmeric paste, then add 1 teaspoon of honey stir until dissolved, and then 1/4 cup of soy milk. I like the woody taste of the turmeric.I would say to folks to start off with small (maybe only the tip of a teaspoon) amounts of turmeric and work your way up to whatever level you are interested in being at. One teaspoon of turmeric yields about 220 mg. (a 1/5 of a gram) of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric. The black pepper (active ingredient piperine) plus the oil (many folks use olive oil) greatly increase the bioavailabilty of the curcumin. I also use the paste directly on the sores, cover with a bandaid, however I pick clothes that I don't mind staining turmeric yellow."
[YEA] 06/01/2011: Ellie from Santee, Sc: "Thank you so much for this unbelievably simple and wholesome miracle of a treatment! It WORKS with such incredible healing speed that I could actually notice a difference in my MRSA sores within hours, just like was claimed. I've only had MRSA, as far as I know for a few weeks without any idea how I was infected--but I do work with money! The first sore I had, I thought was a pimple and I made the huge error of trying to break and drain it--never do this! It was a horrid, seeping thing and I was in tears... It was just above my collar bone and highly visible. Not only do I work with the public, but I have a wedding to attend this weekend and I was mortified to think I'd be seen by so many people with such an ugly wound on me. Within days of the first one appearing which i'd only been washing with cetaphil and treating with neosporin, a second one appeared on my forehead and I was again in emotional agony. I did not want to be treated by conventional methods--I understand that the treatment can be even more devastating than the infection in many cases--it tears up your immune system, basically.
I was very hopeful when I found your site and read so many encouraging testimonials about the fast results when taking tumeric three times daily for this monster of an infection. I bought ground turmeric right off the grocer's shelf and began taking it the minute I got home. Literally within hours the weeping sore on my collar bone was dry and the sore which hadn't broken the skin on my forehead was practically GONE; just THAT fast!!! I kept up a vigil of cleaning them with the cetaphil and tumeric three times a day disolved in warm water--ten days later, I cannot see where either of the MRSA sores were any longer. And not only did the tumeric work for those sores but it also annihilated a small outbreak of tenacious cystic acne that i'd been trying everything on the drug store shelves to rid myself of for months!!!!
I can't thank Earth Clinic and its contributors enough!!! I can attend my Nephew's wedding this weekend without a worry at all and I'm so grateful for your advice! I reccommend this treatment with the highest praise for Mother Nature herself!"
[YEA] 05/29/2011: Jeff from Kutztown, Pa: "I have been diagnosed as having mrsa and was having a serious problem w/ boils. regular medical help did nothing to alleviate the problem. in looking online, I found sites that suggested using turmeric as a remedy. I didn't have the instantaneous results that some people claim, but it did help. I started by taking a teaspoon in warm water 3 times a day, and as long as I continue to take a teaspoon in warm water each day, my boil problem has ended. thank god for turmeric!!!"

05/30/2011: Carly from Seattle, Wa Usa replies: "... I agree, add oil like coconut or some milk (for the fat) to the turmeric... But it is also important to add pepper - it helps you absorb it in the gut! :-)"
03/16/2011: Heather from New Castle, Indiana: "I have been getting mrsa spots for awhile... I've had a couple drained and been on antibiotics. I had a small one appear and started researching because I'm so sick of being on antibiotics. Well, I found this site and went out and bought some of the powder spice turmeric, I have tried to take it with everything... Mixing it in anything I can think of.. And it still makes me gag every time. I just can't stomach it. So, I was considering getting the capsules.
I read your warnings on them, I actually found some at walmart.. And they don't have any of the extra ingredients in them you mentioned. So, I was wondering if these are ok to use instead? I was going to start by taking one 500mg three times a day with meals. I'm fine with the extra cost, because I'd rather pay a few more dollars than gag everytime I try to drink or eat the stuff. So like I said, I'm just curious if this will be as effective as long as it doesn't have those extra ingredients? Also I'm using the actual powder I bought to make the paste to apply to the spots.
One more question, how long should it typically take for it to work? Especially on a smaller one?
Thanks so much!! "

He'd been having boils on, in, and around his ears for a year, and he kept asking me for a cure as he knows I am a real fan of alternative medicine.Unfortunately, it cleared them right up! I let my good nature get the better of me. He really deserved them. Lol"
03/17/2011: Heather from New Castle, In replies: "Thanks.. I'm glad to know it worked at least! I've been wondering.. I've been taking 4 500mg capsules.. Through out the day.. I can't take more than 1 at a time or it upsets my stomach too much. Not as bad as the powder mixed in water through. I take 1 with each meal and then 1 with a snack before bed. It still causes a bit of a stomach ache. But not as bad. And I drink a whole bottle of water after each one. So I'm wondering, how long should it take or does it normally take to notice a difference? The spot that had some stuff coming out of it, seems to be flat and painless.. But still every morning I see a tiny bit come out of it.. Is this normal? It itches though.. Does this mean it's healing?
I have another spot that is just a small hard knot under the skin.. It hasn't broken the skin or anything. It doesn't really seem smaller either though. It's not really painful, I just want to keep it from getting to that point. Yesterday was my first full day of taking it.
I'm nervous, because we leave for our anniversary vacation next Saturday.. and I don't want to be dealing with this."
12/28/2011: Healthymomglennvil from Glennville, Ga replies: "Although taking turmeric internally is great for, not only the infection, but your immune system, you can also apply it topically. Also, another option is to buy to powder from an ethnic store, very cheap, and put it in capsules yourself! Much cheaper!!"

[YEA] 02/09/2011: Beau from Norman, Ok, Usa: "Hi everyone I am a 29yr old 6'3" 225lb male who is healthy other than my 8yr battle with cultured and confirmed MRSA. I am in utter amazement at the effectiveness of Turmeric at clearing up my most recent outbreak of MRSA on my chin. I have had these outbreaks on and off since 2002. They began on the back of my head in the beggining, always treated with bactrim or ciphro.
Recently I have been getting them on my face and the antibiotics are taking up to 3 ten day rounds to get rid of them. I have been reluctant to move to vanco or anything stronger because of research I have done on this problem. I am afraid of getting immune to every antibiotic and having nowhere to turn if I ever got a possible fatal infection.
Anyway, I am not one to normally turn to herbs as a means of treating illness I guess because normally I have always been healthy and got over things. This battle however has really affected me mentally and phisically as you all know. I poured over these posts on MRSA for about a weekend after being refered by my mother in law. The first and most popular I found was Turmeric. The recent outbreak was a small one on my chin that came up fast from a spot it had previously been, that same night I could feel one starting in between my eyes as well as a sore spot on the side of my head. I knew exactly what was happening and was so sick of this. They are getting more and more networked at this point but not as huge, I guess because I run to the doc and treat them immeadiately now that I know what they are capable of. For me they seem to happen about four times a year mostly when I get worn down.
I began by mixing a tblsp of turmeric in a glass of warm water on Fri morning doing this three times a day. I didnt notice much until Sat afternoon. By Sun night it was apparent that they all were in retreat. Mon morning they were all drying up and going away. I really could not beleive this was working. Like I said eight years of mupriocin in the nose during and after outbreaks with antib's hot showers and compresses all the western med tricks. They would get rid of them but never as fast and they never obviously cured me. So as I set here tonight I am a firm believer in turmeric and will continue to take everyday prob in capsules (check warnings about capsules) for maintenance for the rest of my life. I will continue to update. There is no reason not to try it. I have no noticeable side effects from it. You do want to drink lots of water with it."
Replies02/14/2012: Gina from Troy, Ny replies: "Hi all! My dog(and best friend) was diagnosed with MRSA about a year ago. The vet has given him numerous drugs to no avail. After reading your posts, I think I may try Turmeric on him. Any advise about dosage? He's about 70 pounds."
[YEA] 03/03/2013: Kelli from Mooresville, Nc replies: "I had the same issue with my dog, but I had just been through it with my daughter. So I immediately knew what to do. I put turmeric in a tablespoon of peanut butter and within 20 minutes the sores would start draining. I continued until they were completely healed. It probably took a couple of weeks. I tried putting turneric on the sores, but that was a mess with a little white dog."
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 12/26/2010: Tlm from Kannapolis, Nc: "My husband and I were tested about 2 years ago, they did the nasal test and he actually tested positive for MRSA and I test negative but I had at that time already had one boil but I didn't know what it was. I have continued having these boils coming up on my body for about 2 years now and just like you all I have suffered through the pain and discomfort for weeks at the time. During which I am still trying to have a normal life, well go through the daily process anyway. The DOCTORS are little to no help with this, I don't think they know what to do for MRSA at all. They just want to give antibiotics and an ointment and send you on your way, or lance the damn thing and pack it with gauze which in and of it self is painful but I really don't know if they know how painful these boils actually are to begin with. So with this said I was willing to try anything especially when I woke up this past Monday with my left eye swollen almost shut. It was 5 days before Christmas I needed to work 3 of those days but I just wasn't comfortable going to work like this and with the economy the way it is, it's just not a good time for me to be missing work either.
My husband researched MRSA HOME REMEDY and found all the good things you all were saying about TURMERIC, so he went to the grocery store and got me some in powder form and I started drinking it. The best way I have found for me to take is to mix with Lipton green tea: I put 1 teaspoon in a shot glass with the green tea, I have been doing this 3 times a day since Monday. My eye was swollen bad Monday and Tuesday, not so bad Wednesday, then Thursday not real noticeably at all, Friday just a little swollen where the bump is, and Saturday if there wasn't a small sore you would not even know it was there. Don't want anyone whom is just now reading about this stuff to think it will instantly get rid of these boils but it really does help BIG TIME. All of the other MRSA boils I have had in the last 2 years, for the most part I have popped because that is what I thought needed to be done and they last for at least 2 or more weeks, and when I say they last I mean I am in pain for the better part of 2 weeks, so for the one on my eye to be better in 3 to 4 days it was truly wonderful to me. I will continue drinking TURMERIC, everything I have read says it is good for you, and the benefits of helping with the boils, there is no reason not to. I would Sincerely like to THANK everyone whom posted there comments about TURMERIC, this has helped me and let me know that there are people in this world whom really want to help others."
Replies11/02/2012: B from Raleigh, North Carolina replies: "I have been suffering from staph boils for just under a year now. Like many (I'm sure.... ), I too thought my initial boil was a spider bite. The wound got progressively worse before I finally went to a doctor who swabbed it and confirmed staph- not MRSA, thankfully. I have yet to try drinking turmeric, but I have used grated fresh rhizome mixed in coconut oil and pepper on toast every day for two weeks with no noticable effects. However, I now use TURMERIC ESSENTIAL OIL directly on boils with great results! At the first notice of one, I'll put a few drops on a band aid and keep the boil covered 24/7 until it's gone. For me, depending on what stage I've discovered the boil, it will take about 2-3 days. I change the bandage about every 12 hours and wash the wound with a mixture of Dr. Bronner's soap, apple cider vinegar, and tea tree oil. I highly recommend this, as the oil is quite inexpensive and takes away the pain/pressure of the boil within hours. Quick and cheap fix- but not a cure for recurrent outbreaks. I will update after having experimented with drinking powdered turmeric in milk/water with pepper. Good luck!"
[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 01/07/2013: B from Raleigh, Nc replies: "Update: I started take 3 "00" sized capsules of turmeric and pepper with a spoonful of olive oil a day for about one week. Had to stop, because it brought on menstrual bleeding! Sure enough, turmeric is a natural emmenagogue used in Ayurvedic medicine. I made these pills myself, so they were not packed very tightly, but I would guess I was taking about 2400mg/day. I started taking one pill per day (800mg) because it absolutely worked for staph! I would definitely warn women to be careful. Especially if you're taking turmeric/pepper/olive oil because you will most likely be absorbing all of that."
12/22/2010: Irisheyes from Des Moines, Iowa: "I am attempting the use of Tumeric for my MRSA boils and am finding it very hard to swallow, pun intended. I have a very sensitive stomach and this stuff is just plain gross. Are there any suggestions as to making it a bit easier to take?"
Replies12/22/2010: Donna from Drexel Hill, Pa replies: "Hi Irisheyes, I make a turmeric tea using 1 teaspoon turmeric, a teaspoon of honey, 1/8th teaspoon of cayenne pepper and either some half and half or coconut milk. I then add hot water and stir. I love drinking this tea. Not only is it healthy but also delicious."
12/23/2010: Elizabeth from Nashville, Tn replies: "You can buy empty capsules and take turmeric that way. That's the only way I can take it."
12/23/2010: Diane from Berkeley, Ca replies: "Heck - just eat a lot of curries. I think that's the best way to take turmeric. I eat turmeric probably 2x a day at least, averaging around 1 tsp a day. Besan chillas make a great breakfast for example, and it can easily be added to those. Aside from taking it in warm milk when I have a cold, I cannot imagine swallowing it plain."
12/23/2010: Gg from Somewhere, Usa replies: "I buy the empty capsules and fill them with tumeric. No taste."
